I was born four years later, also on Presidents' Day, and my folks named me Jefferson. Neither of us was ever ashamed of our names. I grew up in The Bible Belt. At the sound of that, most people assume that I am a religious fanatic. Let me assure you, that neither I, nor most of my acquaintances grew up that way. Unfortunatelyfor my brother and me, our parents were the fanatics in the family. They were really exceptions to most of our neighbors, who were normal. At least, I thought so. My folks were strict creationists, who truly believed that the earth, nay, the universe was created in one week, five thousand years ago. So when Lincoln was eighteen, and I was fourteen, you can imagine the scene in our house when Linc came out to them and announced that he was homosexual. He and his best friend were moving to Birmingham, where they wouldn't have to hide in the shadows. They had both been accepted to The University of Alabama, and they fully intended on working their way through college. They were right to plan it that way, because both sets of parents disowned them immediately. My father gave Linc fifteen minutes to pack and get out of his sight. I tried to intercede, for which I was rewarded with a boxed ear. The slap was so severe, that I suffered permanent hearing loss. Fortunately, it was a minor loss. After my brother left the house, we completely lost touch with him. When I was ready for college, my parents sent me to Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham. Even though Linc would have graduated the spring before I came to Birmingham, the first thing I did when I arrived was to search the telephone book. I couldn't find him, so I assumed he had moved after graduation. It was years before cell phones were in general use, so he would only have had a land line. I concluded that he was no longer in this city. I majored in Physics, with a minor in Chemistry. Based on my academic achievements and my high IQ, I was on a full scholarship. I had to put up with the required religion classes, but it was a minor inconvenience. Majoring in physics, you can fully understand that I didn't believe in God, at least not the biblical God. I met my wife almost on my first day at the school. We were paired as lab partners in Chemistry 101. Ellie was so beautiful that I couldn't concentrate on the lab work. Worse yet, I kept getting an erection. Before the class was over, she agreed to have dinner with me that evening in the school cafeteria. As we ate our dinner, I found out that she was on a full scholarship also; her IQ was nearly as high as mine. She was majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Physics, so over the years, we had a lot of classes together. Thank goodness she had no religious hang-ups. We slept together on our third date, and we have been sleeping together as a married couple for twenty-five years now. Ellie and I earned our doctorates at MIT. We both got full scholarships. When we accomplished that goal, I got a professorship at Harvard and Ellie got one at Boston University. We were able to stay in Boston, a city we had grown to love. Now we could afford to get married, buy a home, and raise a family. My parents did not have a desire to venture to the heathen city of Boston, and I didn't have any desire to return to Alabama, so my folks never knew their grandchildren. Our first born was a son, and two years later we had twin daughters. When Jeff Jr. was getting ready to attend college, he came out to us. We were very shocked, because Jeff was macho and athletic. I could see that he was hurting, so I threw my arms around him to assure him that he was very much loved. My wife joined the huddle, and then the twins did. I wondered what my father would say, but I didn't really give a damn. Even though Jeff was enrolled in Boston University, he intended on living in the dorms, so that he could have the so-called college-experience. Ellie and I were all in favor of that. Jeff's announcement woke something in me that I had long desired, but had never acted on. I had an overwhelming desire to find Lincoln, and hopefully re-establish a relationship with him. When my parents passed, I didn't know how to reach him to inform him that they had died. Of course, I didn't know if he would even care. Linc's full name was Lincoln Washington Carter, so I felt his middle name would aid in my search. I could only hope that he used, at a minimum, his middle initial. I now had full use of the internet, Google, and other search engines. I started my quest in the entire state of Alabama. I found a few Lincoln Carters, even one Lincoln W. Carter, but he was ninety years old. None of the others were the right age. I had a new fear. What if Linc was dead? I erased that thought immediately. It was too dreadful to contemplate. I continued my search in the entire southeast. I came up with dozens of Lincoln Carters, and spent hours reviewing the data. None of them was the right age, so I was forced to expand my search to all the states, including Alaska and Hawaii. I was flabbergasted at how many Lincoln Carters there were. I researched for two months and I narrowed it down to five Lincoln's. They were the right age, and each one shared a home with another man. They were scattered throughout the United States from Maine to California. I invested extra money, and was able to get their addresses and telephone numbers. I made it my mission to call each one. If Linc's partner answered, I would identify myself and ask him to get my brother. Once I had one of the Lincoln Carters on the phone, I would ask if he had a brother named Jefferson. After that I would play it by ear. ********** Linc and his partner, Daniel Masters, arrived in Birmingham, and took a room at a YMCA. They were there for about a month. During that time they started classes, and found jobs at a busy mall. Linc got a job selling shoes at Florsheim's and Dan got a job at The Gap. They both worked from five to ninein the evening, six days a week. With both of them working they were able to rent a small studio apartment, and to put aside as much as they could for tuition and supplies. When they got home from work, they spent three hours studying, and then turned in. They made love whenever they could. They tried to avoid very early morning classes so that they could both sleep a bit longer in the morning, and hopefully, make love. The two industrious young men completed their education within the prescribed time, with minimal amounts of student loans. Linc majored in education with a minor in math. Daniel majored in education with a minor in music. In their senior year they discussed their futures in detail. They agreed to look for work in big cities only, and both men had a yen to live in California, The Golden State. It all sounded so glamorous and inviting to them. They searched the internet and found openings in the same private school in Los Angeles. They faxed their resumes to the school, and both heard back the next day. They set up interviews, bought an old car, and headed to California. When they got to Los Angeles, they took a room at the Y, just as they had in Birmingham. The angels smiled on them. Their interviews went well and they were both hired to teach, beginning with the upcoming fall semester. With no income coming in, they stayed in the Y the entire summer. Since they weren't working, it also gave them the opportunity to make lots and lots of love. Once they both began to teach, they were able to rent a lovely one bedroom apartment near the school. They both loved their jobs, and they loved each other even more. They admitted candidly that neither missed their parents, but both of them missed their siblings very much. ********** I started my search for Linc on the east coast. My first call was to Portland, Maine where Linc Carter told me that he was an only child, and wished me good luck in my search. When I came up empty handed, I headed west to Chicago, Illinois. This Linc informed me that he had never been south of the Mason Dixon line. I refused to get discouraged. I even considered hiring a private detective if need be. My next call was to Dallas, Texas. Linc informed me that he and his partner had lived in Texas all their lives. I followed that with a call to Phoenix, Arizona, where I met with similar unhappy results. I only had one call left. I had made each of the calls on a Sunday morning. The next Sunday, I waited until noon to call. I figured it was only nine in the morning in Los Angeles, and Linc would be home and awake, unless he went to church, which I really doubted. I couldn't know, of course, but when their phone rang, Linc and Dan were enjoying a hot game of sixty-nine. Unlike my father, I would never condemn them. I knew that they were expressing their love for each other, and fulfilling their physical needs. "Shit," Dan said. "Let it ring," Linc wailed, but Dan was closest to the phone and he reached over to pick it up. He never looked at the caller ID. "Hello," he said sweetly, belying the fact that I had interrupted his most intimate moment with his partner. "I'm looking for Lincoln Carter," I said curtly. Frankly I had no hope for success. "He's right here," Dan said. "Who's calling please?" "I have reason to believe he's my brother." There was a long silence. I couldn't hear a sound, and finally a crying voice screamed out, "Jeff is that you?" My search was complete and successful. We spoke for hours, filling each other in on our lives. How amazing was it that we both became teachers? I told him that our parents were dead, and added facetiously, "I hope they are sitting at the right hand of Jesus." "They are most likely in hell, if there is such a place," Linc whispered back at me. He asked me what had prompted me to search for him after nearly thirty years. I told him that when my son came out to me, I realized how much I missed my brother, and wanted to have a relationship with him. Linc said that he couldn't wait to meet my wife and kids. I promised him that as soon as the current semester ended, my wife and I would be happy to come out to Los Angeles for a two week visit, and Linc promised that he and Dan would fly back with us, and spend a couple of weeks in Boston. I had never been west of the Mississippi, and Linc had never been to Boston, so we were both very excited about that, and seeing each other again. ********** When the plane landed in Los Angeles, I became very nervous. What if Linc and I had nothing to say to each other? Worse yet, what if we didn't like each other? I expressed my fears to Ellie, and she poo-pooed me. Ellie was right, of course. As we exited the secure area, I spotted Linc, and we fell into each other's arms. He had hardly aged at all. I would have known him anywhere. Maybe that's from being happy. Neither of us was ever happy in my parents' home. Even though he is gay and I am straight, we kissed on the lips and sobbed. While we were so engaged, Dan hugged Ellie and they got acquainted. Then Ellie and I had a go at it. We went to baggage claim, and then to the parking ramp. I had no idea where Dan drove us, but he pulled into the driveway of a small house, which locals referred to as a California bungalow. It was larger inside than I would have expected, and it had three bedrooms. Ellie and I owned a four bedroom home in Cambridge. We were planning on selling it after the girls left home, in favor of a two bedroom condo. Since we were all teachers, we were off for the summer. Linc and Dan had the time, and they delighted in showing us all the tourist must-sees in and near Los Angeles. We ate out every night, and Ellie and I insisted we go Dutch. The best part was that every time Linc and I caught each other's eyes, we grabbed each other and hugged tightly. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time in L.A. However, two things happened during our visit, which really upset me for no reason. First, nearly every time Linc and I embraced, I felt Linc's package, and he was far from flaccid. I convinced myself that my brother wore no underwear, and that's why I felt him. The second thing was more upsetting. One evening, after we went to bed, my wife fell asleep before me. I suddenly felt dry and thirsty, so I started for the kitchen to get something to drink. I had to pass Linc and Dan's room, and there was no mistaking the sound of love making. I actually heard Linc say, "Fuck me harder, Baby." I could have scowled or smiled, and ignored it, but when I got to the kitchen, I realized that I had a throbbing erection. I was so hard that I hurt, so I went to the bathroom, and jerked off. After that, I put it out of my mind. Before we went to L.A., we sent Linc and Dan our itinerary. Fortunately, they were able to book two seats on our flight back to Boston. When we arrived at the airport, Linc and Dan could not have been more excited. I had arranged for my son to pick us up, and he was waiting just outside the secure area. He started waving the moment he saw us. I introduced Jeff Jr. to his two uncles and they all embraced each other. I didn't imagine anything this time. I knew for a certainty, that they pushed their bodies together even more strongly than Linc and I had. I did not get upset. I figured that since they all swung the bat for the same team, it might be some sort of welcoming ritual. Not only were we teachers off for the summer, but my student son was nearly off; he was taking one summer course. He was finished every day by 10 AM, and he was living at home for the summer. Boston is saturated in American History. The five of us saw all that we could for their two week stay. We ate out occasionally, but Ellie insisted on cooking most of our dinners. We agreed that Ellie and I would visit L.A. every Christmas break, and Linc and Dan would visit us for spring break. In addition, we would exchange visits in the summer. We vowed never to lose touch with each other again. ********** On the last night of their visit, Linc, Dan and Jeff Jr. arranged to go clubbing at a gay bar. As soon as they got into the car, Jeff said, "I know of a hotel nearby that rents by the hour. Wanna have some fun, guys?" Needless to say, Linc and Dan were shocked, but that didn't stop Dan from saying, "You're on, Twinkie. Linc added, "I'm all for it, Handsome. It's been ages since I tasted hard young meat." The hotel room had two queen-sized beds. The three men stripped quickly and jumped into one of the beds. They were all uncut, and they were hard. Linc and Dan were about six and a half inches, and Jeff was about seven inches. At first, they just hugged each other and kissed, but soon enough they fell into a daisy chain position. They all had the same sensation at once. The cock they were sucking was the sweetest any of them had ever tasted. The older men both wanted to be fucked by Jeff so they took turns. Jeff was prepared for this and he had brought jelly. Linc and Dan never used condoms, but as careful as he was, Jeff had multiple partners, so he also produced condoms, which his two uncles reluctantly used. Dan lay on his back. After his ass was prepared, Jeff entered him. In spite of the fact that Jeff moaned like a banshee, he stopped short of cumming. They switched positions several times, but nature won out, and they came one after the other. After the rapture, they lay in bed snuggling, fondling and kissing one another. Linc and Dan, in their mid-forties, were finished for the night, but young Jeff was still raring to go. The older men sucked his cock until he was ramrod hard again. Then he fucked them back and forth until finally he came up Linc's ass. They showered, dressed and vacated the room. From there they went to the gay bar, and had a couple of drinks before heading home. They were all very tired and could have skipped the club, but they were afraid that Jeff, Sr. might ask questions. ********** Before Linc and Dan went home, we renewed our promise to each other that besides summer visits, Ellie and I would visit them for winter break, and they would visit us during spring break. We were determined not to lose touch again. Junior kept begging me to take him to L.A. with us. I was surprised and very pleased that my son and my brother had bonded so well. Even so, I was surprised at Junior's insistence that he go to L.A. with Ellie and me. Little did I know!
