The Potter's Wheel Chapter Eight George the Dragon Slayer Sunday September 6, 2009 "Shane, promise you'll see the doctor," Jim said as he hugged the boy when he and Brandon were leaving. "Uncle Matt and I love you very much, and you're welcome here anytime." "Thanks Uncle Jim, I promise I'll go. But I'm feeling a lot better already," the boy said, holding on to Jim. "That's good to hear. Give it a shot for a few visits just to make sure," Matt said, standing next to Jim. Brandon hugged his brother and kissed his cheek. "Thanks for everything Bro," he said and hugged Jim hard. A quick bro-hug for Matt and Barry, then they were on their way. George left at 0500 for his trip to Junior's house. He didn't share his plans with his sons but they knew he would take care of things. As the three lovers walked back to the house, Barry spoke up. "In all the excitement I forgot to tell you that I had a call from my mum yesterday. She and my dad want to come down tomorrow to see Ryan. I hope it's okay that I told them, yes?" Jim punched him lightly in the arm. "When are you going to get with the program? This is your house too and you don't need our permission." "Well then just consider it a heads up, you may want to escape," Barry said with a laugh. George arrived at Junior's at 11:30; he knew that Bonnie liked to go out for breakfast after Mass. He sat contemplating the house; it was quite impressive for a CPA. Junior was the CFO of a medium-sized family-owned engineering firm and been with the company since college-in fact, he'd started as an intern. But knowing real estate values, a home in this part of Virginia must have set him back quite a few bucks. He must be doing very well since his first wife cleaned him out in the divorce after catching him cheating. Watching the car pull into the drive he could see the perplexed look on his son's face. He knew his son so well that he could almost hear the internal conversation taking place in his head. The unannounced appearance of his father itself would sufficiently rattle him. Once George had his little talk with his son, he was sure that he would be more than rattled. As George walked up the drive it was his ex-wife who approached him first. "George, what an unpleasant surprise," she sneered, "taking a break from Sodom?" "No Bonnie, just thought I'd visit the two-faced side of the family. By the way Bonnie, if you get your face pulled one more time you'll have a mustache," George said with a big smile. The smile got even bigger when she stormed away in a huff. Junior approached his father with a look of both confusion and fear. "Hi Dad, what brings you here?" "We need to have a talk George." "Okay," he said nervously, "come on in, we can have coffee." "No, I think we should talk in private. How about your office in the garage?" George said, causing his son's face to twitch-a telltale sign. The office was small although nicely appointed on the second floor of the garage. George just sat staring at his son purposefully, waiting until he asked what it was they had to discuss. George could see the wheels turning trying to figure out what his father wanted. He let him squirm for a bit longer and then slid a CD across the desk towards Junior. "What's that?" He asked. "That is a video of your Godson explaining to a psychiatrist how you seduced him and sexually abused him," George said, staring into his son's eyes. "That is a lie; I've never done any such thing. I'm a married man and I'm not?" "A fag like your brother," George said, finishing his sentence. "Look Dad, I don't know why he's making up. I'm a happily married man. Why would I ever do such a horrible thing?" Junior said, already having to wipe his brow. "George, do you really think I would be here if I thought for one minute the boy was lying?" George Sr. said, getting up and walking to towards the credenza behind the desk. "What are you doing?" Junior demanded, sounding more alarmed then he wanted to. George didn't answer. He just bent over and opened the door to expose a safe. He then proceeded to spin the dial and open it and expose his son's collections of porn just where Shane said it would be. Junior watched with a panicked look on his face. "Would you like to continue to deny it George? If the boy was lying, how did I know where your stash was-better yet, how did I know the combination?" Junior just sat there frozen in his spot. There was no talking his way out of this, and he was completely busted. That little piece of shit had ratted him out and there was no way he was admitting to anything. "I'm not saying another word," he said defiantly to his father. "There's no need for you to say anything. All you need to do is listen. I have talked your brothers out of calling in the police and beating the shit out of you, which actually I think you deserve. So here's the deal," George said before being cut off. "Deal! There is no deal, that boy came looking for it, he initiated it," Junior said. George flew across the room and grabbed his son by the collar and pulling him up he pushed him against the wall knocking over a chair and causing a picture to crash to the floor. "You filthy piece of shit, you are nothing but a fucking lying hypocrite," George screamed at his son just inches from his face. Just then the door burst opened and Bonnie and Junior's wife appeared. "George, what do you think you are doing?" Bonnie demanded. Without letting go, George turned to his ex-wife who recoiled from the look of pure anger and rage on George's face. "Bonnie, this doesn't concern you, so I suggest you two get out now unless your son wants me to continue with you present." Bonnie looked at her son, she had never seen him so scared before. "Mom, just leave and let us settle this," Junior said his voice shaking with fear. "I most certainly will not," Bonnie screamed, "George let him go this instant." "Mom, for once in your life will you please listen and leave," Junior screamed in a panicked voice. She left in a huff with his wife while he was still pinned against the wall by his father. "Now if I let you go will you sit down and listen?" George asked, and his son just nodded his head. Once he was seated his father continued, "This is the way it's going to be boy. You will not contact any of your brothers or sister and especially their children. If I hear even a whisper of you being anywhere near them, this goes to the police," George held up the CD for emphasis and then paused as he threw the disc at him and waited. He needed to catch his breath. "The only reason I stopped Brandon from calling the police immediately was so we wouldn't have to put Shane through anymore trauma. But you listen, and listen good; if I hear that you've tried to contact any of the family I'll make sure there is no need for the police," George said with his eyes never leaving his son's. He stood to leave. As he headed for the door he stopped and turned to face his son, "And one more thing, I want you to legally change your name and drop the Junior. It's an honor you do not deserve." Brandon pulled into the driveway of his home. They'd made great time. On the way, he spent most of the time talking to Shane. He shared many stories from his life with his son and felt closer to him now than ever before. He took time to carefully explain to him why he needed to tell his mother what had happened. He offered to tell her privately to save him the embarrassment. Shane accepted the offer gratefully. "Shane, one more thing before we go in; trust your brother. Share with him what has happened. I know you really don't want to discuss it, but you will need him and he will want to help. And believe me son; there is nothing more important than having a brother. They do come in handy at times." Brandon said with a wink. Shane gave his mother a hug and quickly fled to his room. He wasn't looking forward to facing her after she heard the news. He thought about what his father had said. Maybe he should tell Seamus. After all, he did owe him an apology. After unpacking his bag he went across the hall and knocked on his brother's door. "Enter," Seamus called out. "Hey Shane," Seamus said hesitantly, "so how'd it go?" "Intense would be an understatement," he said with a smile, "but it's all good. I wanted to tell you about it, but first I have to apologize for being such a dick." Then he went on to tell his story. Seamus listened with his mouth hanging open. This was some heavy shit, no wonder Shane had turned into such a sarcastic little shit. Shane continued to tell his brother everything, including what their uncle had done to him. When he was through, Seamus stood and crossed the room and pulled Shane up and hugged him. "Thanks for telling me bro, I wish you had told me sooner. I could have told you that you weren't gay," Seamus said. Shane laughed and pushed his brother away laughing, "Yeah right, like how would you know?" Seamus took a deep breath to steel himself. If Shane had trusted him enough to tell him his story, he should man up and come out to him. "Because I'm gay," he said looking down at feet, afraid of what was coming. And then he felt Shane pulling him into a hug. "Dude, thanks for telling me. But I already knew." "Fuck you!" Seamus said pushing him back, "you didn't know shit." "I knew that when Jake stays over your room smells like cum for the rest of the day," Shane said breaking up laughing. "It's all good bro," he said with a wink and an impish smirk, "we'll take care of each other; no worries." Monday September 7, 2009 Matt, Jim, and Barry were working in the office on a plan to deliver some well-deserved justice to a world class phony. Barry had done some digging and found that the company Junior worked for was for sale. It was a medium size engineering/communications firm, and did quite well. The man who owned it was now seventy-five and wanted to retire. His children were not interested in the business so it was up for sale. The asking price was 10.5 million. "Jimmy, I have a plan. What if we buy the business and then we can fire Junior?" Matt asked with a grin. "I'd like to do more than that but I'd say it would be good bit of pay-back," Jim answered. "Good, but I think we should give Declan a call. We'll need investors and also his expertise," Matt said. "Do you think he'll be interested," Jim asked. "Most definitely, especially after he hears about Shane. This also works out well for us. It will be a good place for Billy to work." Just as Matt ended his call with Declan, the bell for the front gate sounded. "That will be the parents," Barry said with a frown. "Are you sure you want us with you?" Jim asked. "Too right mate, I need all the help I can get. Come on then, time to face the lions," Barry said and gave each of his lovers a quick kiss. When they entered the foyer, Derrick was just opening the front door, "Mr. and Mrs. Parsons, welcome. I'm Derrick Leo, Uncle Baz will be?" "Hello Mum, Dad," Barry said as he walked towards them. He hugged his mother and shook hands with his dad, and then he introduced Matt and Jim. The reception was just a bit icy but he pressed on. "Ryan is still napping, come into the family room and we'll have some iced tea," Barry said leading them into the family room. "Dad, I'll go see if Ryan is awake," Derrick said drawing an odd look from Barry's parents. Matt noticed and said, "I adopted Derrick after his grandmother passed away. She was his only living relative," Matt said. Matt's comment received no response from the guests, confirming his already low opinion of them. Jim entered with a tray of ice tea, offering it to the guests and then sat on the couch next to Matt and Barry. "Barry, we had hoped to speak with you alone," his mother said looking back and forth nervously between Matt and Jim. "Sorry Mum, we're a team." "Yes, well that's what we want to discuss. Your father and feel that this is not a proper environment for you to be raising your son," his mother said. Besides, what kind of security can you provide for him working as a nanny?" Barry was expecting a difficult visit, but he didn't expect a full frontal assault. "Excuse me, but I am not a nanny," he said getting a bit angry but he calmed down when he felt Jim's hand on his shoulder. He also noticed the reaction of his parents but he didn't give a fuck. He turned to Matt and asked a question with his eyes. Understanding what his partner was asking (he was asking permission to divulge their business arrangement) Matt just nodded his head. "What makes you think I can't provide for my son? You have no idea what I have or earn," Barry said trying to maintain his composure. "Well you have to think about your future. We thought you could move back with us until you get on your feet. And we have a college fund set up for Ryan, it's not much but it will surly help," his mother said. Now she was irritating all three men. "It's very interesting! While I was busting my arse working two jobs to support my son and to be near him, I never heard one word from the two of you or an offer to help. Maybe you can explain your sudden interest in my life?" "Barry, I think you need to remember to whom you are speaking," his father said sternly. Just then Derrick arrived with Ryan, who was holding his hand and staying very close to his "Uncle". He went straight to Barry. Ryan climbed up on his Dad's lap, wrapping his arms around him and buried his face in Barry's chest. "Sorry, he can be shy at times, especially around new people," he said. Barry's mother gave an indignant snort, "We're not 'new people', we are his grandparents." "Yes mum, but he's only seen you three times in his life and the last time was the funeral." That didn't sit well with his parents but they held their tongues. He kissed the top of his son's head, "Whataya say mate, how 'bout you go with Uncle Derrick and have some juice and wake up a bit," the boy nodded and jumped down from Barry's lap and headed straight for Derrick. "So back to our discussion, why the sudden interest in my life?" Barry asked even though he knew the answer. "Quite frankly we don't believe you should be exposing your son to this-this lifestyle," his father pronounced. "And what lifestyle would that be Mr. Parsons?" Jim asked, clearly irritated by the question. "One would think, sir, that even though you insist on inserting yourself into a family discussion, that you would remain silent," Barry's father spat. "And with respect sir, I will remind you that you are in our house and I am here because Bazza requested it. My question is what lifestyle are you referring to? We have a loving and safe home for our children, we go to church every Sunday and say grace before every meal. What is so objectionable about that?" Jim stated firmly catching the parents a bit of guard. "I'm talking about-well you know damn well what I'm talking about. The Bible says?" "Yes Mr. Parsons, we are quite aware of what the Bible says in Leviticus," Matt interrupted. "If you take Leviticus literally and follow all of its teaching, you shouldn't have that style of haircut or eat ham, bacon, or lobster and not play football. You know pigskin and all." Matt said cheekily, leaving Mr. Parsons quite perturbed at being bested. With the sexual angle now soundly defeated, Barry's mother returned to economics. "Barry, raising a child is expensive as I'm sure you know. What will happen when these men no longer need your services? Now if you moved back to Virginia with your father and me you could return to school and finish your degree." Barry was seething. He stood abruptly causing his mother to sit back in alarm and stormed out of the room calling "I'll be right back," over his shoulder. As he was leaving Derrick was returning to the family room with Ryan and a smiling Kelly in tow, who ran right to his Dads and tried to jump into Jim's lap. Derrick took Ryan to his grandparents and said, "Ryan, say hello to you Grandmother and Grandfather. But the boy just buried his face in Derrick's thigh. Barry returned just in time to witness the incident, carrying a stack of papers in his hand. "Derrick, would you mind taking the boys outside for a bit? We have some business to discuss." "Sure Uncle Baz, he said and went to get Kelly off Jim's lap. Barry's parents both blanched at his use of 'Uncle'. It did not go unnoticed by Matt. Barry handed his father a sheet of paper. "What is this?" He asked as he scanned the document. "That is the last statement for Ryan's college trust fund, would care to read the total to Mum?" When she didn't say anything Barry said it for her, "the balance is just a bit more than sixty three grand, thank you." Then he handed him another two sheets. "I'll save you the trouble. One is my class schedule for school. You will see that I'm taking a full schedule of fourteen credits, enough to get my degree. The other is my salary and compensation schedule for my job on the board of the Bruno/Weiss Family trust. Tell me Dad, how long was it before you earned a hundred and twenty five grand a year? A bit more pay than being a mere nanny?" Barry was on a roll, and Jim sat smiling, watching him do battle with his parents. "Here's the deal, since I was wounded I have learned to do everything for myself, I can even pat myself on the back if I need to. The only thing I need from you is love and support. If you can't give me that there is no need for you to visit," Barry said firmly. The Parson's left shortly after this, the husband red-faced and angry and the mother crying; their son feeling like a whole man for the first time since he'd been maimed. Later that evening after dinner, after everyone was in bed, Matt heard the door to the bedroom open and a moment later Barry was crawling in-between he and Jim, who was already asleep. Matt took him into his arms and kissed him deeply and then said, "You were really good today buddy. I'm sorry things didn't end well though." "It's okay. What bothers me the most is that today, for the first time in my life, I realized my parents were really never there for me. They did and said the right things, but even while I was recovering, they barely visited. But when they find out I'm gay, they come riding in on their white horse." "Hey, are you two going to yak all night," Jim said as he wedged his now hard cock between Barry's legs, "because now you have me horny." He grabbed Barry to pull him closer causing him to wince in pain. Matt noticed and said, "Hey are you alright?" "Yeah love, just must have twisted funny. Now let's get on with it, I want to get fucked!" He sat in his room staring at his laptop going through the pictures of Jasmine he had taken earlier in the day. He was removing the Exif tags from the pictures. She was so beautiful, her mocha skin and long brown hair and long sinewy legs where just what he liked. And those lips, just looking at them made his cock rock hard. He couldn't hold back any longer and extracted it from his shorts and stroked quickly until he unloaded into his hand and quickly licking up the evidence before his roommate returned. He retrieved his burner cellphone from its hiding place and sent her a text "You looked so beautiful today, your lips are made for me to kiss." He hit send and then returned to phone to its hiding place. He needed to find a better place to stash it and also the memory stick that held the photos. He lay back on his bed and thought where that place could be. To be continued? Thanks for reading.
