It contains sexual activities between males and should only be read if it is legal to do so in your area. Read at your own risk and enjoy. Comments are welcomed and would be very much appreciated. ENJOY! After my revelation, my father was less than thrilled to see me go back and finish my stint. He thought that my recruiters' behavior was out of line and would have called it in if I hadn't practically thrown myself at his feet and begged him not to. This surprised me as I thought that my father was at least aware of the nature of our relationship. "I thought that he was just a crush. You have them so often now that it doesn't even phase me anymore. If I knew he would practically molest my son..." "Dad! He didn't molest me ok. I wanted it, I wanted him." "It doesn't matter Stephen. He was the adult in this situation and he took advantage of you." I wanted so bad to agree with my father but I couldn't. I was just as much to blame for this as he was, after all, it takes two to tango. I had to keep my own urges to tell everyone what had went down but I knew that I could never do that to him. No matter how hurt or how rejected I was feeling, I couldn't ruin his career and reputation or marriage. I cringed as I thought of his beautiful wife, hugging him, kissing him, having him do to her what he did to me a few months earlier. It brought tears to my eyes whenever I thought of all that he told me, things he said to me in the heat of passion, the words of encouragements that he had said to me and the way he looked at me as if he was the proud father. And I had to squeeze my eyes shut and make all of that disappear. I would force myself to enjoy the last leave before my discharge. Lil could see through my act and made it known how she felt about it, "when did you turn into a pussy Stephen?" I stopped what I had been doing and turned to face her, my eyes blazing. "Excuse me?" "you heard me." "what the hell is your problem Lil, you've been acting like a bitch since I've been back, what the hell is up with that?" "you! It's like every time I come over here I have to bite my tongue but I'm not doing it anymore. I wish you would either cheer the fuck up or do something about it." I played dumb and ignored her comment but she wasn't about to let me off the hook that easily, "you're gonna let some woman sit back and take your man. Is that what they teach you in the Navy? To be a wimp?" and if her goal was to get me fired up, she did just that. "What the hell would you know about , about anything. At least I was brave enough to get the hell outta this shit hole, and unlike you I plan to do something with my life. So just leave me the hell alone." I looked over at her and saw that she was smiling. "what the hell is so damn funny?" "You, you're crying by the way." I was about to come back with some smart remark when I looked down at my hand and saw the proof. Embarrassed I got up and made I move to do what I always do when I'm confronted with something I don't like, run but Lil blocked my entrance. "that's the shit I'm talking about. Where's the Stephen that I love and admire huh? The one that would fight for what he wanted, the one that would do whatever he had to do to make sure that..." she paused then continued, "dammit Stephen! I want my friend back ok. You've been like a zombie since you've been back. Why don't you just call him." "you wouldn't understand Lil, no one would." She walked up to me and put her arms around me. It was what I needed right then and there, to be held. "I do understand Stephen ok. I'm your best friend and I make it a point of duty to understand every thing that you go through. I love you." "I love you too." "Then do what you know you want to do and call him. Tell him how you feel." I opened my mouth to protest but she put her finger against my lips. "No, I talk, you listen. You need to get your ass on a plane and go to him. Tell him face to face what the deal is. The worse that can happen is that he tells you it's not going to work out but if you stay here and keep this SHIT up, you won't have a single friend left." And isn't that what friends are for. Lil just told me what everyone else has wanted to say to me for months and I had no choice but to listen. And with this new energy, I found myself buying a ticket to New York City for that evening. My father wanted to tag along but I blatantly told him no. I didn't need my dad hanging off of my coattails waiting to assault my recruiter for sleeping with his son. And he seemed to take it quite well if you count telling me that he would fly down there as fast as he could if that 'asshole' broke his sons' heart. I was grateful for the support and it made it all the more easier to do what I had to do. As I stood outside his door I could hear myself breathing heavily and I consciously tried to control it without much luck. My palms were sweaty and my knees were just about ready to turn to jelly at the sight of him. I had dressed in my favorite blue jeans and t-shirt hoping to give him the idea that this was a casual visit, nothing out of the ordinary. But the sight of me standing at his doorstep unannounced gave me away. "Stephen, come on in." he didn't even appear to be too surprised at seeing me again. It was as if I was a friend of his returning from a very long trip, coming home. "I didn't mean to just drop by like this, I mean I should of called and..." "It's ok, really. Besides, I was kind of expecting you. Your father called and told me you were headed up to see me. He let me know quite a lot of other things too." And I swore that the color from my face just drained. I couldn't believe my own father would rat me out. "and I'm glad that he did." His words had me standing there, mouth opened, waiting. "I'm sorry, I really shouldn't have come Sir, I should get going." And I turned to run but he grabbed my arm and did the unexpected. He pulled me into his arms and kissed me so tenderly on the lips. To say I was shocked would have been an understatement. When he pulled apart from me I could see that he had this big smile plastered on his face and for same strange reason that made me get angry. I pushed him off of me and took a step back. "Stephen" he started before I cut in, "You don't talk, just listen." And with my hand placed firmly in my pockets, I spoke words that I hoped would make or break me and this relationship. "I love you and I know that you're married and I hate you for making me love you and then leaving me out to pasture. I hate you for lying to me about everything and I hate you because I can't stop the way I feel and I know I'll never get over you." And at the end of all of that I broke down into sobs that racked my whole body. I didn't care if he saw me cry because I knew I would never see him again. He walked up to me and put his muscular arms around me and allowed me to drain my tears on his expensive looking shirt. When I had brought my emotions under control I backed away from him and looked down at my feet. He lifted my chin with his fingers and made me look into those big brown eyes. "Is that why you've been ignoring my calls? You think I lied to you?" when I shook my head he continued. "Look at me Stephen, from that first day you walked into my office, I knew you were special. You had that certain energy about you, that enthusiasm that makes the perfect sailor. I knew you would have an impact on me, just not this big. I never meant for you to feel this way Stephen. If I knew that you would feel this way I would have said something sooner." Thinking that he meant regretting getting involved with me I started to speak, "don't say anything else please. I know what you're gonna say..." "Stephen I love you." What! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "But you said..." "if you would let me finfish my damn sentence, you wouldn't be so confused, you know that." I wanted to hear him say it again, i wanted to make sure that I actually heard him right and that it wasn't a figment of my over active imagination. "can you say it one more time." "I love you Wallace. And if you would let me, I would take care of you." And I couldn't mistake hearing any of that. But reality was starting to set in and the obvious made me begin to wonder the sincerity of his declaration. "What about your wife?" the smile on his face refused to falter, "What about her?" "I can't be, you're married, aren't you?" "I WAS married. My divorce came through a few months back." I guess the look on my face displayed my uncertainty. "What do you want to know?" he asked. "I saw you and her that day after we, the day I left. She was kissing you." "and if you had asked me about that I would have told you that it meant absolutely nothing. That was a good-bye kiss, nothing more than her showing me her appreciation at getting rid of me. She gave me my walking papers Stephen. She made me a free agent." And at that moment I felt like such an idiot. All of these months of heartache and headaches over something that turned out to be nothing at all. "you're not married?" "I'm not married." "And you love me." "And I love you." And would you believe after all of that I still wasn't convinced. It took a night of incredible passion and shared words to convince me. EPILOGUE: I could lie and say that we lived happily ever after but it didn't turn out that way, at least not all the time. After that night it took all of my strength to get back on a plane and fly back home and then fly to San Diego to board my ship and to finish my stint. My father had a lot to say about what went down but was happy that I was smiling again. So happy that he even offered to pay for my next trip to New York for my twenty-second birthday. I of course declined and told him to save it for his lady friend who he seemed to have forgotten to mention. Her name's Ashley and she seems to have taken my fathers' heart for ransom. More surprising is that she's around my age and is an active member of USMC, something that doesn't seem to bother my father at all. As for Shane and Christopher, they're still together but moved out of New York choosing instead to reside in Chris' hometown of Puerto Rico. It's amazing how quick Shane picked up the Spanish there. Lil is still a thorn in my side but I love her for it and as of now she's taking classes at Columbia alongside her best friend-me. And last but not least, recruiter and recruitee are living in a cozy apartment in Brooklyn on Flatbush. Marcel thought it would be a good idea to get a house but I liked this place just fine. It held great memories for me that I hoped to keep for a long time to come. He is still recruiting for the Navy but now he has a little help alongside him to keep everything In check and when ever he asks a prospective sailor the question 'Why do you want to join?', I send him that knowing smile and he sends me one right back. WELL THE END IS HERE AND I HOPE IT IS WHAT YOU ALL WANTED AND EXPECTED. IF DISAPPOINTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHY AND IF YOU ENJOYED IT, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHY. I HOPE TO READ A LOT OF EMAILS SO KEEP THEM COMING. ANOTHER STORY IS IN THE WORKS AND SHOULD BE POSTED VERY SOON. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT...
