It will eventually include sexual relations between young men. Some characters and events are based on fact but the names, places and circumstances have been changed for obvious reasons. Mason and Jack Chapter 7 Jack came out of his bedroom looking adorable in his freshly laundered school clothes just as I was finishing up breakfast for the family. John and Stephanie both came in shortly after. "Good morning boys," Stephanie said as she walked up to the coffee pot that had just finished brewing her favorite mix of freshly ground beans. She poured a cup and inhaled the aroma. "Awww...that's the stuff mornings are made for. Thank you Mason, for brewing this and for the wonderful smelling breakfast." "Of course Stephanie! You know how much I enjoy cooking in this kitchen. It's a pleasure." John interrupted our usual morning banter with the question Jack and I had already discussed, "Are you boys ready for today?" "I think we are, Dad," was Jack's reply as he was scooping scrambled eggs onto his plate. "As ready as we can be I suppose. It will be tough, but with Mason there with me and the support of the staff, I honestly believe we'll be fine." "I'm glad to hear it. Now let's dig in before this breakfast gets cold, John replied with a smile and flourish of his hand across the modest meal I had prepared. We ate in silence and when we were finished and had the dishes put away safely in the dishwasher, we all said our goodbyes. Jack and I grabbed our bags and headed to my car. We drove in silence for most of the trip holding hands as was our habit now when we rode in the car together. As we approached the school, I could feel Jack's hand start to become clammy. "Are you alright, Babe? We don't have to do this today if you're not ready." "We never talked to Coach. Will he let me on the teams when he finds out I'm gay?" I smiled to myself. I hadn't thought to tell him that the principal had called and talked to me about this very thing several days ago. "I think you'll be surprised." I said, leaving it at that. Jack didn't interject. We pulled into the parking lot and I parked the car in the spot I had unofficially claimed last year when I started driving to school. "Why aren't you parking in the Senior Lot?" Jack asked. "Out of habit I guess. This is the spot where I found you the last day of school. Sitting down by the driver's side door and waiting for me. That was the day we became one. I will always remember that day, for the rest of my life. I don't want to park anywhere else. This is MY spot. OUR spot. Until the end of the year. Hopefully I can kind of pass it off to you once you get your license and a car of your own." "I hadn't thought of that. But I guess you're right. This is where it all kind of started over again, isn't it?" I brought his hand to my lips and kissed the back of it gently. "It started for me a long time before that. But this will always be a special place for me and I cherish that memory and will forever," I stated as I released his hand and put the car in park and turned the ignition off. "Ready?" "Lead the way, Baby," he replied with a smile on his face as he opened the door to get out. *~*~*~*~*~*~* This is a VERY short chapter and I greatly apologize for the length of time it's taken me to get something new out for you all.
