This will deal with things far and beyond anything Jonathan has ever done or gone to. If you aren't familiar with Nick or Jonathan or where they are now, please check the web page and read the Nick and Jonathan series, and the New Beginning series, and the Kristian series.... Comments as always. Stonewolf@angelfire.com www.stormloader.com/articwolf Chapter One: Lounging out pool side in Fern Grotto, Jonathan was lying on the deck near the Jacuzzi. Nick had his head lying on Jonathan's stomach. A little over a year had passed since they had been shot in Boston. Outside of traveling to Switzerland for the National Conference of Hoteliers, to which Nick now belonged, they stayed pretty much close to home. Traveling when they felt like it, they went where they wanted when they wanted. Jonathan still craved lobster at least once a month, so they would spend a few days in Boston at the hotel. At Danny's insistence, the 747 had been modified to allow the two Hummers to travel with them. Cargo space had been modified to allow them to be driven on and off the plane and locked into position. Days had been fairly quiet. Danny's company had finally gotten the contract lifted off of Nick. While he wouldn't talk about it, all he would say that it concerned a laser sniper sight and a phone call. He left it at that. Both Nick and Jonathan's day to day work was mostly handled by Brandon and Mark. Two hours each morning was dedicated to taking care of paperwork and other items with them. This was usually over a morning breakfast meeting. After some hesitation Mark had gotten used to "dressing down" around the grotto, namely cargo shorts and a tee shirt; or at times no shirt. He could not believe the luck he had gotten by working for Jonathan. "You're kind of quiet today babe" said Nick, as he lay comfortably on Jonathan. "Getting pounced on at 6AM by a horny 23 year old does wear one out" said Jonathan as he trailed his fingers through Nicks' hair. He had let it grow somewhat longer, but not out of control. "Excuse me" said Nick "I didn't pounce. Sebastian pounces. All I did was play with your cock until it got hard" "Details details" said Jonathan ruffling Nick's hair. "Excuse me you two" said Anthony, walking up the deck steps. "You guys want lunch or you going to lie around all day being lazy?" "Lazy and food both sound good" said Jonathan flipping Nick off his abs and into the pool "But food sounds like a better plan. Crab salad?" "OK" said Anthony. Nick came up out of the pool sputtering. "What was that for?" "For not moving fast enough" said Jonathan. He jumped into the pool cutting the water cleanly. He swam to the end of the pool and back underwater coming up next to Nick. He took him in his arms and kissed him . For some moments the two treaded water kissing and fondling each other. "Man I can't believe how solid your body has gotten since Paul has started working with you full time." said Nick, running his hands over what were now a near perfect 8 pack of abs on Jonathan. "You aren't any kinda slouch yourself you know" said Jonathan. He took a breath and dove under the water, pulling down Nick's speedo. Taking the hard cock into his mouth he started to suck Nick swollen 8.5" cock. Nick moaned at the pleasure of his low hanging nuts floating free in the water while Jonathan's tongue swirled around his cock. For over a minute and a half Jonathan sucked until he was rewarded with a thick load firing down his throat. He surfaced and kissed Nick again. Nick tasted his own load and the chlorinated water. "How can you hold your breath that long?" asked Nick between kisses. He was now stroking Jonathan's cock. "I dunno" said Jonathan, reveling in the pleasure. "It just seems normal to me." Soon Jonathan shot off his load into the waters. "Heh. Pool kid is gonna be pissed" The two laughed and pulled themselves out of the water, naked. They walked over to the Jacuzzi and got in. The two continued to kiss and cuddle. Nick continued to marvel at Jonathan's body. Ever since Boston, he had seemed to have grown larger in muscle and height. Running his fingers over Jonathan's abs, he could feel each individual indentation between the ridges of muscles. Gotta work out more, he thought, they are better then mine. After a while, Anthony rolled a cart out with the crab salad stuffed into Avocado halves. A Vintage Trimbach Riesling accompanied it. Jonathan had gone in for wines in a large way over the past six months, collecting over 10,000 bottles. The two got out and wrapped themselves in towels. Anthony left them with a comment about the grotto being turned into a nudist colony. After lunch, the two went into town under the watchful eyes of Danny, Jeff and two other agents. Sitting out on a pier, drinking beer, the two were content in their own presence. "Can I ask you a question?" asked Nick. "Since when do you need to ask?" said Jonathan, pushing his sunglasses up on his forehead. "Well" said Nick. "It is about Boston. What happened when you disappeared?' "I don't really know" said Jonathan. "Danny said I was gone like 3 hours but to me it seemed like maybe 10 minutes. I remember floating around in a wierd fog, then Kristian was there. Told me some wierd stuff and then I was standing in the hospital hallway" "What kind of wierd stuff?" asked Nick. "That it wasn't my time and that I had a long journey ahead of me" he replied. Ever since that day, he had debated what, if anything he should tell Nick about that. "Maybe he was an angel" said Nick. Jonathan stared off into the multi colored waters off Key West. He seemed a thousand miles away. "I don't know" he said. "I know he was at my parent's funeral, but still. There is no way to explain what happened to you or me." Nick slipped his hand into Jonathan's. "Well, at any rate, angel, devil or whatever, we are still here." Jonathan reached over and kissed Nick. "I love you" "I love you too. Let's go fuck" said Nick. "Horny little bastard" said Jonathan, laughing as they got up and walked to the nearby Hummer for the drive back to Fern Grotto. Over the past year, the Hummers had become a fixture on the island and the locals knew to keep away a respectful distance from them. Chapter TWO: Later that night, Nick and Jonathan were in the upper tower room of the house relaxing after dinner. Sebastian lay on the couch next to Jonathan. His tail made lazy swishes back and forth over Jonathan's leg. Nick looked over and saw Jonathan staring out to space. "You there babe?" he asked. "Everything all right?" Jonathan snapped out of his daydreaming. "Yeah I'm fine. I'm sorry. I was just thinking about Kristian and something else he said." "What was that?" asked Nick. He got up and came over to the couch where Jonathan was sitting. He took the snifter of Grand Mariner out of his hand and took a sip. "Damn that is fine". He moved Sebastian further down the couch, much to the grumbles of the cat. It was a game of sorts and they both knew it. Sebastian was a unique cat. Over the past year Sebastian had come to show his love for Nick. That didn't stop him however from turning his head around, putting his ears back and giving a low growl. "It should be" said Jonathan, kissing Nick, tasting the orange of the liquor on his lips. "It is 175 years old" "The Grand Mariner as pretty fine when they uncorked the first 50 year old bottle too" said a voice. Both Nick and Jonathan came flying up off the couch at the sound of a strange voice. Sebastian went into a complete fit. He fluffed out and began to screech and hiss with his ears flat back. Then doing something totally uncharacteristic of breed, he went tearing off across the room and down the stairs howling all the way. Sitting across from then was Kristian. "Where the Hell did you come from?" asked Jonathan, noting with displeasure that he had dropped the snifter and it lay shattered at his feet. "How did you get in here?" The same way I got into your hospital room. Walked in" replied Kristian. "No one saw me" "Danny is gonna shit when he sees you" said Nick, moving closer to Jonathan. "Only if he sees me." said Kristian. "We need to talk" "No shit" said Jonathan. "Have you told Nick what I told you?" asked Kristian. "Not yet" said Jonathan. "I'm not entirely sure I believe it" "You know it to be true Jonathan" said Kristian. "You have seen and felt the changes. Nick has seen the changes. It was not meant to happen this soon, you were meant to be alone when it happened, twenty years from now." Jonathan's mind traveled over the past year. He had seen his body slim down, become more muscular, even adding and inch or so to his height. He thought it was a late growth spurt or his work with Paul. His tailors weren't happy that was for sure. Then again, a whole new wardrobe, they weren't too pissed. Even in his own attitude he had noted changes. He saw things differently. Thought things differently. At times he almost felt rather then heard things. Deep down, he realized what Kristian had said was true. He had changed. But.... "What is it Jon" asked Nick. He had a frightened look on his face. Jonathan looked at Nick. He saw the same scared face he did that very first day in the airport. He smiled at that thought. "I don't know how to say it" said Jonathan. "You aren't leaving are you?" asked Nick in a quiet voice. "No babe" said Jonathan, sitting back down and taking Nick's hand in his own. "Far from it" Danny choose this time to come up the stairs. "Everything all right guys?" he asked. He noted the tension in the air but saw only the two of them. He had also seen Sebastian's mad tear down the stairs and go ripping across the house as fast as he could go screeching all the way. He could not recall ever seeing the cat afraid of anything, yet it was more then obvious that he was terrified of something. Now or later.. it had to be done. Jonathan looked over at Kristian. Kristian silently agreed; the words reaching across the space between them silent and unspoken, yet Jonathan heard it clearly. "Danny come here" said Jonathan. Danny walked over and sat down near them. "What's up?" Jonathan took a deep breath. "Danny.. meet Kristian" Danny looked over at the space that had been vacant to his eyes moments before. There before him sat Kristian. In one move Danny had rolled off the chair and came up with gun in hand aimed directly at Kristian. "Been there, done that" said Kristian sighing and shaking his head. In the next moment, the gun fell to the floor from nerveless fingers. "Settle down Danny. All of us need to talk" "OK, Nick, Danny" started Kristian. "You know my name. That is as good a place to start as any. What follows is not as easy. Jonathan has been chosen to be a leader for a select group of people that will in turn save this planet from itself" For seconds silence reigned in the room. "Go on" said Jonathan. "I am immortal, over 900 years old" he began. "I am one of the most powerful immortals on this planet" "One of?" asked Jonathan. "How many of you are there? "You mean us" said Kristian. "US...." repeated Jonathan. "Yes," said Kristian speaking to the three of them. "When I got to the hospital, Jonathan was dying. Of sorts. He was chosen a long time ago. Many generations ago. His genetic make up was one of only a handful. The thirteenth son of the thirteenth daughter. For whatever reason, the genetic complexity renders that child to become immortal upon passing across to death. A chemical reaction alters the DNA at the time of death. The person stops aging, muscle and bone tissue generate on their own to form a perfect body. I'm sure all of you have noticed changes in Jonathan. In his case it was brought out a bit more by his working out with a physical trainer. Later on other things will occur. These will be brought out by me." "Immortal" said Jonathan. "As in can't die" "Well." said Kristian. "If you go and do something incredibly stupid, where your body cannot regenerate probably you would die forever, but for the most part you cannot die until it is time. If you do something that would normally get you killed, you will temporarily stop living, usually two or three minutes at most that it is back to normal. I must admit though it is not the most pleasant of experiences depending on how you die. It has never been talked about among us, but I would presume sooner or later one will die." "Time" said Jonathan. "So there is a time limit on this.. what kind of time frame are we talking about?" "No one knows really" said Kristian. "I think the oldest of us is twenty-five or twenty-six hundred years old give or take a century." "My God" said Jonathan. "What did you mean I was selected." "Of the 200 of us or so that are around, you, because of your stature in the world, your money, power, knowledge, were chosen by us, the elders to lead a group of immortals on a conquest to save this world and its inhabitants from itself." "You make it sound like the second coming of Christ" said Nick. "Not hardly" said Kristian. "We live here too. It's a long story" "You call yourself an elder, yet you hardly look older then Nick, much less 900 years old." said Danny suspiciously. "How do we know you aren't some crack pot lunatic" "I was twenty-one when I became immortal. However, I suppose I had that coming" said Kristian getting up. He walked over and picked up Danny's gun and handed it to him. "Come with me. All of you". The tone in his voice left little discussion. The four of them walked out on to the balcony. "It will be easier here." He turned toward them, Taking off his shirt. Even Danny who was straight as an arrow marveled at the perfectly sculpted muscles of Kristian's chest and abs. Not bulky, yet incredibly defined, the abdominal muscles formed a perfect geometrical "8 pak". "Shoot me" said Kristian, talking to Danny. "Now I know you are nuts" said Danny. He had been holding the gun down, but pointing loosely in the direction of Kristian. "I do not have all night for this" said Kristian somewhat crossly. "Shoot me" He closed his eyes and concentrated. Danny had a stunned look on his face as his arm rose unbidden, lined up straight onto Kristian's chest and fired. The round took him squarely in the center of his chest. Kristian grunted and was flung several feet across the deck blood flowing from the massive wound in his chest. Jonathan rushed over to the body. Checking the pulse on Kristian's neck, he found none. He was dead. "What was that all about?" yelled Jonathan turning towards Danny "I don't know" said Danny. "He said shoot and it was like I could not help myself" Jonathan got up and walked over to the edge of the balcony looking over the water. For a moment no one spoke. Meanwhile at the sound of a gunshot all Hell broke loose on the compound. Jeff came flying up the stairs to the tower room, gun drawn searching for targets. The perimeter guards on the property began a search for other intruders. The house security staff, sealed the building. Jeff rushed out onto the balcony, seeing the body on the he deck. "What happened?" he asked preparing to pull Nick inside. "It's OK" said Danny, "Settle down the house and perimeter staff before they go and shoot one of the neighbors" Jeff left with a strange look on his face, but knew Danny wouldn't have sent him away without reason. He still pondered over the body lying on the deck. "That's right you couldn't have stopped yourself from shooting. " said Kristian getting up slowly off the deck rubbing his chest. "Damn that hurt. What are you firing?" Jonathan whirled around like he had heard the Grim Reaper himself. For the first time in 7 years, Jonathan actually saw Danny startled. All three had turned to see Kristian standing there, not a blemish on his chest. "Now maybe we can talk seriously. Even the blood was gone. There is a lot to be done". He walked by them and back into the tower room putting his shirt back on. Chapter Three: The three stunned into silence followed Kristian. "I think we all could use a drink" said Kristian. "I think so" said Jonathan shakily. He looked over at Nick who looked like he had seen a ghost. "Its OK babe" he said "I dunno about that" said Nick. Jonathan picked up the phone. When one of the stewards answered he ordered a bottle of Jack Daniels and four glasses. This was promptly brought. Jonathan poured glasses and they all downed a healthy shot of the booze. "Are you telling me I could drink a couple of bottles of this and not die from alcohol poisoning?" asked Jonathan. "Yes, but you might wish you could die" said Kristian. "I remember a medieval wedding I attended in England. Drank for 3 days, puked for a week, and jumped off a cliff just to give me a break from the hangover" "You're serious about this whole immortal thing aren't you?" he asked "Deadly serious" said Kristian, putting his drink down. "You know your own body guard. You know what he carries, you know he shot me point blank" Once more Kristian opened his shirt. "You tell me" "This is a lot to take in" said Jonathan. He looked over at Danny who was still scowling. "Guess this means you don't go around shooting at him anymore" "Wiseass" said Danny. "There will be much for you to do Danny in the near future" said Kristian. "Like what?" said Danny. "I've got a boss who apparently can't die" "That is a secret that can't be revealed" said Kristian. "You and Nick are only a handful of mortals who know of us. Not even your most trusted people may know" "I still want to know how you got past my people in the hospital and how you got into this house" said Danny, refilling his glass; a rarity for him. "At Mass General, the people stationed there are some of the best trained people in the business. They had orders to shoot on sight anyone who tried to enter that hospital room without permission." "That is your answer" said Kristian. "They did not see me. Nor did you when you first came up here" "How is that possible. The only time I've ever heard of something like that was on the old "Kung-Fu" TV series; the Shaoulin Master Priests could control their minds and the minds of others and the forces around them. That was TV though." "The Shaoulin exist" said Kristian. "Who do you think taught them?" That silenced the room again. "There are many things in the future you will learn to do with your mind and body Jonathan" said Kristian. "Solids are only shadows in the light. I came here tonight simply to tell you that the time will soon be near:" "What time" asked Jonathan. "The time of learning" replied. "I will go over with you things you will need to do both in your personal and business life. You will need to expand your business holdings even more far reaching" With that, he smiled and once more seemed to vanish before their eyes. The three of them sat stunned by the turn of events over the past few minutes. Their silent mood was shattered by the arrival of Sebastian who came flying over the couch with a growl; landing between Nick and Jonathan, scaring both of them off the couch. "Damn cat" said Nick. Sebastian looked at him with a cat like smirk on his face and twitched his whiskers. This was going to be a long night thought Jonathan.
