Chapter 01

Gabriel Matthews anxiously awaited with his attorney Jeremy Wilson as the judge review the contents of the documents on his desk. It took two long months for this day to come and now it's finally here, He couldn't wait to hear the decision so he can go back to where his heart belongs. Gabriel knew his heart would always belong to his true love but thought he was doing the honorable thing when he married his wife so the child she was carrying would have a real family. Finally it looked like the judge had made his decision and addressed the plaintiffs.

"After reading over the documents and hearing all testimonies, the judgment will go as followed." He temporarily paused to make sure he had everyone's attention. "Jalisa Matthews will receive the house, a 2016 Mercedes Benz SUV, and one million dollars as stated in the prenuptial agreement. Gabriel Matthews will receive complete access to all businesses, sole custody of the two children, and the cabin in Big Bear California."

That didn't sit well with Jalisa and she made it known to everyone. Gabriel on the other hand had a big smile on his face. He felt like a heavy weight had been lifted off his shoulders and he was now free to put his real family back together. After letting Jalisa ramp and rave for a minute or two, the judge banged his gavel and stared at her with blazing eyes full of authority.

"I will have order in my courtroom. Do I make myself clear?"

At first Jalisa didn't say anything, then her lawyer put his hand on her arm and whispered for her to answer. "Yes sir."

"Good. Now, I know you were expecting a lot more; but you signed an agreement of your own free will, and that agreement is legally binded. I can't give you any more than what you agreed to. Be grateful that Mr. Matthews gave you the house and not asked for any child support which he could have insisted on. With the settlement that you're getting, we both know that you can assist in providing for your children's upbringing."

The judge then turned to Gabriel. "I wish you the best of luck in giving your children the best childhood as you possibly can. Make sure that the next time you get married, you do it out of love and not a sense of obligation." Gabriel nodded in understanding agreement. "That's all I have to say on this matter. This court stands adjourned."

After banging his gavel, the judge stood and left the courtroom. Gabriel and his lawyer stood and Gabriel shook his hand thanking him for his help. He turned to leave the courtroom when Jalisa came up to him with fury in her eyes. "Don't think you're off the hook Gabriel Matthews. I expect you to continue paying the mortgages on the house and car. The judge may have let you off the hook but I'm not! You made a promise to me, and I expect you to keep it."

Gabriel rolled his eyes. "Evidently you didn't read the prenuptial agreement very carefully, did you Jalisa?" when she didn't answer, Gabriel smirked deviously. "It not only states that in an event of a divorce, not only do I get the children, but we're responsible for our own debts.

The house is paid off so you don't have to worry about that, unless you have some repairs that come up which needs to be fixed, but the SUV is your problem. I haven't and won't be making any payments on it. You were the one who wanted a fancy car, not me. I got everything I wanted and now I'm done with this sham of a marriage."

Seeing Jalisa speechless with a shock and angry look on her face, Gabriel walked away with a satisfied smile. At that time his lawyer walked up and handed him his papers. Once again he thanked his lawyer for his help and walked away leaving his ex-wife standing there. He wasted no time in heading straight for his true love's house feeling apprehensive. He hopes that he can win back the love of his life and live happily again. On his way there, he called his nanny Jeanette to check on his boys and to give her a little update on the hearing.

Back at the courthouse Jalisa was still fuming with anger. She couldn't believe Gabriel actually went through with the divorce, nor could she believe the judge didn't give her the ten million dollars she was demanding. As she stomped out of the courtroom, she pulled out her cell phone to make a call. She has a strong ace up her sleeve and she was going to use it to get back what is rightfully hers. Nothing was going to stop her from living the life style of the rich and famous that she deserves.

At the Williams' manor, Adrian was sitting in his living room watching television but not paying any attention to it. Instead his mind was pondering the concept of love and what it all means. His boys Alonzo and Theo (Theodore) was at the Matthews-Morrison's visiting their uncles and cousins giving their Dad Dray some alone time. Ever since he and Gabriel had broken up Adrian has been wondering if love was worth fighting for; but still haven't found the answer to that question. Suddenly the chime of his cell phone brought him out of his thoughts. After shaking his head, he picked up the device to answer it.

It was one of the guys from the security room letting him know that someone was there to see him. When Adrian heard the person's name, his eyes popped wide opened. "It's alright, you can let him through."

He disconnected and went to answer the door. The bell rang just as he reached it and he opened it to find Gabriel on the other side. They stood there for a few awkward moments just looking at each other. Finally it was Gabriel who broke the silence. "Hello Adrian, can I please come in? I would like to talk to you about something."

Gabriel swallowed hard before answering. "Sure, come on in." He then stood aside to allow him entrance. Gabriel thanked him as he entered resisting the urge to take Adrian into his arms. They walked into the living room and Adrian gestured for Gabriel to have a seat as he sat on the couch.

Gabriel sat on the other end of the same couch as Adrian and gathered his courage as he looked for any sign of Adrian still loving him but Adrian showed no emotions. He just waited for Gabriel to explain why he was there. Another long minute passed, but when Gabriel spoke it was with an apologetic voice.

"Dray, before you say anything, let me just say what I have to say, okay?" Adrian just nodded in agreement. "I know I hurt you when I left, but I thought I was doing the right thing for my son. I let my parents influence me in thinking that he needed a mother and father in order to have a family so I married Jalisa but that was a mistake.

Jalisa wasn't interested in being a parent; she was just interested in my money. Deep down I knew that was all she wanted so I took precaution before we got married, and I'm glad I did. But I never stopped loving you Dray, and I never will. You were always on my mind every day and night nonstop.

My heart will always belong to you, and if you take me back, I promise to never leave you again. This is where my true family is and that will never change. Please say you'll take me back so we can be a family again. I'll do anything to make it up to you if you say yes. I want us both to raise all four of our children together, and give them the family they so richly deserve."

Adrian couldn't believe what he was hearing. This is what he wanted ever since Gabriel had left him but he didn't know if he could believe that Gabriel would never leave again. Oh he wanted to, but he was finding it very difficult to trust that he would keep his word. The thought kept running through his mind if he should or shouldn't take the chance that they would be together from here on out. Seeing Gabriel's face beginning to fall with defeat, Adrian knew there was no choice for him to make.

When he spoke, it was with a determined but soothing monolog. "I know you love me Gabe, and I love you too." his eyes was gentle as they bored right into Gabriel. "But you see that's not enough for me. I need to be assured that you won't break up our family again because I can't and won't go through that kind of heartache again.

You also need to decide what you're going to do about your wife. I told you before, and I'm telling you now, I'm not a home wrecker. Either you come completely home or you don't come home at all. But, whatever you do; make sure it's what you really want. All I want is for you to be happy Gabe. That's all I ever wanted for you no matter what."

Hearing Adrian say he still love him brought tears to Gabriel's eyes. "I promise to never leave again Dray. You have my word on that. All I want is for our family to be together again and grow old with you. And you don't have to worry about Jalisa; I'd taken care of that."

That statement made Adrian a little curious. "What do you mean? What have you done?"

Gabriel told him about the divorce hearing and the judgment. He also explained about the terms of the prenuptial agreement and why he insisted on them. "Now she's finally out of our lives, including our children. Not that she's ever been a part of their lives anyway."

Gabriel saw the concern on Adrian's face and asked him what was wrong. "I don't think she'll give up that easy Gabe. She's a gold-digger who saw you as her ticket to luxury. She's going to do everything she can to get that ticket back."

"I know she'll try, but it won't make a difference. I'll do anything and everything I have to, to stop her! As long as I have breath in my body, no one, and I mean no one, will come between me and my family again! I won't let it happen."

The coldness in Gabriel's voice was bone chilling, but not as much as Adrian's voice. "See that you do Gabe, because you know what will happen if I have to get involved! I don't care how you do it; just make sure she knows there will be consequences if anyone in my family is harmed!"

Once again Gabriel gave his word and Adrian accepted it as face valued. One thing Gabriel isn't was a promise breaker. When he gives his word he keeps it. As they continued talking, Gabriel slid down the couch and took Adrian into his arms. He needed to hold him and feel his strength and love envelop them. They settled back on the couch as Adrian allowed himself to be held by the man he loves. Soon they both drifted off to sleep feeling relax and content with their rekindled love.

Some timed later they were woken by footsteps and voices coming from the hall. They opened their eyes to find Alonzo and their security standing in the doorway of the living room with surprised looks on their faces. Theo on the other hand was delighted to see his Dad Gabe and ran over jumping onto his lap giving him a hug. Gabriel wrapped his arms around the little boy and held him close. Although he spent as much time as he could with his two eldest boys, it wasn't quite as much as he wanted it to be. After getting over his surprise, Alonzo joined in on the hug. Sensing that they needed some alone time, the security guys went to check in with their boss.

As Gabriel and Adrian were having a heart to heart with their boys, Jalisa had returned home a little intoxicated. She walked into the house screaming for Gabriel but got no answer. Not wanting the children to be wakened, the nanny came into the foyer insisting that she stop but Jalisa didn't listen. She continued screaming as she went from room to room convinced that Gabriel was there and she was determined to persuade him not to leave. She didn't give a damn if she woke the children or not.

By the time Jalisa realized that Gabriel wasn't there, it was too late. The children were awake and crying from all the shouting. "Will you go and shut those brats up? They're getting on my damn nerves!"

The nanny glared at Jalisa with disdain wanting to slap the shit out of her. "If you hadn't come in here shouting like a maniac then they'd still be sleeping. I already told you that Mr. Gabriel isn't here. But no, you just had to make a spectacle of yourself until they had been frightened awake."

"Listen bitch, just go and shut those brats up. I don't have time for all this mommy bullshit! I need to find my husband right away so we can talk. I have to stop him from making the biggest mistake of his life before it's too late."

Jeanette busted out laughing. "What a joke! The only thing you want is his money. You don't give a damn if he's making a mistake or not. In fact, the biggest mistake he ever made was leaving that great guy he had and marrying you!

Now Mr. Gabriel isn't here right now, but he should be soon. In the meantime, why don't you go and sleep off your drunken stupor while I try to get the children back to sleep because you're starting to really piss me off!"

She walked away to go and attend to the children. Jalisa glared at her retrieving back bitterly before going into the den to get a drink from the bar while she waited for Gabriel. She knew he will be back because where else would he go? She was sure Adrian wasn't going to take Gabriel back after he left him for a woman that borne his children.

Back at the Williams' manor the two fathers just finished explaining everything to their boys and were now cuddling up with them. Although he didn't want to leave, Gabriel knew he better get back to his other boys. "Not that I don't like this guys, but I need to get back to your brothers."

Before the boys could complain, Adrian intercepted. "Don't worry boys, Dad Gabe is coming back. He's just going to go get your brothers and a change of clothes. He'll be back before dinner's ready. Then we'll sit down and have a nice family dinner together, okay?"

The boys smiled and nodded. The three of them walked Gabriel to the door where he gave them all a hug. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

"We'll hold dinner until you get back. Give me a call if there's any problem."

Gabriel agreed and gave Adrian a kiss. Adrian and the boys stood at the door and watched him drive away before going back inside and closing the door. On his way to his former home, Gabriel called to have the nanny pack some clothes for the boys. Jeanette said she'll take care of it and warned him about Jalisa being half drunk. Gabriel sighed as he told Jeanette to just see that there's some clothes pack for the boys and to ignore Jalisa.

As soon as he pulled into the driveway Jalisa was rushing out of the house. He hadn't even completely gotten out of the car when she started in on him. Gabriel paid her no attention and continued on inside and upstairs to his room. Jalisa continued to ramp about how she wasn't letting Gabriel leave her, how he made a promise to her and their family, and how he's disappointing his parents by destroying that family. He just kept packing clothes for himself not saying anything to her.

"Do you hear me Gabriel Matthews!?" She yelled. "You're not going anywhere if I have anything to say about it. I won't let you walk away from everything we have just because things have gotten difficult for you. It's time for you to grow up and be a man and take care of your family!"

That last remark pushed Gabriel over the edge. "Listen here you gold-digging tramp! We never had a family so don't try to peddle that bullshit at me! I was the one working and raising the boys while you tried to spend all my money but now I'm done. I'm going back to the one I love and put my true family back together. We're going to raise our children together and give them the life they deserve."

"Over my dead body you will!" Jalisa spat venomously. "I will not have the children around that fag and his fag boys. Do I make myself clear?"

Gabriel stared at her with ice cold eyes. "You have no say in it! And if you ever call Dray or my sons a fag again, you better be doing it from the other side of the world. Because if I ever get my hands on you, I swear I'll put you in traction!"

Jalisa took a step back in shock. The coldness in Gabriel's eyes and voice terrified her greatly. Gabriel finished packing and grabbed his bag. He pushed Jalisa to the side as he left the room heading for the boys room to grab theirs. He took them down and put them in the car before going back in. He and Jeanette got the boys and put them in the car then he asked her to follow him to their new home. She agreed and went back inside to get her things and returned. Gabriel started the car and waited until she was ready before backing out of the driveway and driving away never looking back.

It didn't take long for them to reach the manor. After being let through the gates, they drove up the long circular driveway and parked out front. Adrian and the boys came out to greet and welcome them home. Gabriel introduced them to Jeanette and Adrian invited her to dinner but she politely declined stating she had to get home to make dinner for her own family. She did accept Adrian's reign check for another time before saying goodbye and getting back in her car and leaving.

Gabriel and Adrian got the boys out of their car seats while Alonzo and Theo got the bags. They all went in the house dropping the bags off in the living room on their way to the kitchen. Everyone greeted them when they walked in and Gabriel set Jamy (James) in the highchair while Adrian put Tony (Anthony) in the playpen before taking their own seat. The cooks then brought out their dinner of spaghetti and meatballs plus garlic bread which they somehow kept warm. Just as he was starting to eat, Gabriel's cell phone rang. He saw it was his mother calling and ignored it then turned off his phone and went back to his dinner.

After dinner, Gabriel was about to feed Tony but Adrian offered to do it. Gabriel let him knowing that Adrian wanted some bonding time with their youngest son. The rest of the night was spent relaxing and being a family. This is what they all missed and wanted to make up for lost times. When the children started to get sleepy; Gabriel and Adrian put them to bed then headed for bed themselves. It had been a long day and they were both exhausted.

The next morning Adrian woke tightly wrapped in Gabriel's arms. He glanced at the clock and saw that it was eight thirty. Remembering that it was Saturday and he forgot to set the alarm, he just laid there contented with having his love back with him. Soon Gabriel also woke and pulled Adrian even closer and kissed the back of his neck. "Good morning baby. Did you sleep well?"

Adrian snuggled back into him more. "It was the best night of sleep I had in a long time. But now we need to get up, so we can get the kids up. I'm sure breakfast will be ready soon if it's not already."

Gabriel groaned but did get up. They showered together enjoying soaping up each other bodies then got dress and went to wake the boys. An hour later they entered the kitchen just as breakfast was being put on the table. A second later the security guys joined them. As they ate, Adrian and Gabriel discussed on what to do about the rest of his and the two boys things. Half way through breakfast the phone rang and was answered by Jeffrey the butler.

They all listened to find out who was calling this early in the morning and let out a collected groan when they heard Gabriel's mother name being mentioned, but Jeffrey knew his duty. He insisted on taking a message and have Gabriel return her call when he was free. Satisfied that their breakfast wasn't going to be interrupted, they went back to enjoying the delicious breakfast that their cooks Sean and Bryan had prepared with happy smiles.

When they had finished breakfast they went to the game room to relax while the children played as they let their food digest. An hour later Gabriel started making calls to rent a U-Haul. After three or four tries, he finally found a location that had a truck available. They got the kids ready and notified their security and headed out to pick up the truck with Adrian behind the wheel. Gabriel will drive the truck while Adrian drove the children in the SUV.

After getting the truck they went directly to Jalisa's house. Not seeing her car parked in the driveway like it usually is when she's home, Gabriel thought she wasn't there and let them in with his key. Jalisa was home though, and seeing Adrian carrying Tony, and Alonzo holding Jamy's hand infuriated her to no ends. But before she could get a word out, Gabriel discretely reminded her of his warning from the previous day which shut her up but the fury was still in her eyes. He divided everyone up into teams and assigned them to a room. He then took Adrian's hand and led him along with a few of the security guys to his home office to pack.

Jalisa followed them into the office and once again tried to manipulate Gabriel into staying. Once again he ignored her and continued packing. Adrian on the other hand wanted to be a little patronizing. He started playing with Tony which humored the little guy and sent the others into a fit of giggles. Jalisa threw a tantrum and stomped out of the room muttering to herself. Everyone couldn't help but to laugh at that!

"You're bad!" Gabriel admonished Adrian through his laughter.

"I needed to do something to get her out of the room." Adrian smirked with a twinkle in his eyes. "She was beginning to get on my nerves with her bitching."

That just had Gabriel laughing even more. He finished packing up the office and told Adrian he was going upstairs to start on his room. His best friend Robby (Robert) offered to help and Gabriel thanked him and they left the room. On the way they stopped in to check on the boys and saw that everything was going okay and continued on. Gabriel started pulling things from the dresser and packing them while Robby did the closet. Half way through Jalisa came in the room to make another attempt with Gabriel now that he was away from Adrian.

"Hey Dad Gabe, can I ask you a question?" Alonzo walked in interrupting her. Jalisa scowled distastefully at him for the intrusion. "What the hell do you want brat? Can't you see we're talking here?"

That got Gabriel's attention, but not in a good way. He glared at Jalisa stormfaly as he answered his son. "What do you want son?" Alonzo asked his question as Gabriel continued staring her down. "That's fine with me if it's alright with your Dad Dray."

"I'll go and ask, but I'm sure it will be fine with him too."

Gabriel nodded and Alonzo quickly left the room. He saw the dangerous look in his father's eyes and didn't want to see what he might do to Jalisa. Once he was gone, Gabriel slowly approached her. "What did I tell you about my son?"

"That sissy isn't..." She started to say before she was on the floor holding her face from Gabriel's hard backhand slap. When she looked up, she saw his hand reaching for her again and became even more frightened.

Not wanting his friend to get into any trouble, Robby grabbed Gabriel's arm and pulled him away from Jalisa while trying to calm him down. At the same time several others ran into the room obsessing the situation. They heard the slap and wanted to know what was going on. It became obvious to them when they saw Jalisa on the floor and Robby struggling to hold Gabriel back.

"Calm down man, don't let her win. She's not worth the trouble. Think about Adrian and your boys. They need you free, not behind bars. Don't let her destroy your family when you finally got it put back together."

That got through Gabriel's rage filled mind. He calmed down and stared at Jalisa but was talking to the two security guys. "Get her out of my sight! I don't care where you take her; just make sure she's nowhere near Dray or my sons. If she even looks at them wrong, let me know and I'll deal with her harshly."

They agreed and helped Jalisa who was now crying off the floor and escorted her out of the room as Gabriel and Robby went back to packing. They passed Todd in the hall as he was coming to check on things. "Hey guys, is everything okay? We heard a slap all the way downstairs and was wondering what was going on."

"Shit!" Gabriel exclaimed. "Please tell me Dray didn't hear it. I don't want him worrying about it. I took care of the problem so it's done and over with. He doesn't need to be concern about what happened up here."

"I'm glad because he's really upset. In fact, Drew and Andy (Andrew) had to hold him down to keep him from coming up here. I had to promise to find out what was going on before he would calm down."

"Tell him everything is fine and we'll be finish soon. Whatever you do, keep him away from Jalisa. I don't want him or the kids anywhere near her. He's already annoyed with her, and I don't need to pay any hospital bills because he broke her arm or something. I know she'll try to squeeze some money out of me for that split lip I gave her."

Todd nodded. "You got it." He then left to give Adrian the news. Gabriel and Robby finished with the packing and called for some of the security to help load them onto the truck.

When the truck was completely loaded Gabriel returned to the house and gave Jalisa his key. He then turned and walked out without saying a word. Jalisa screamed that this wasn't over and she was going to get him back because she wasn't going to let him break his promise to her. Everyone was all ready to go when he came back out so he hopped in the truck and they drove away.

They arrived back home and quickly unloaded the truck and put everything in the living room for now and headed back out to return the truck. After completing that process, they went to Adrian's grandmother's house for a little backyard barbecue. While they were at Jalisa's packing, Alonzo called his nanna to tell her about his dads getting back together and Mrs. Amy Mae Johnson,, or Mrs. Amee as everyone called her, insisted on celebrating with a barbecue lunch at her house.

Mrs. Amee greeted them at the door with a big smile. She grabbed Adrian and Gabriel and pulled them into a joint hug being careful not to crush the two little ones in their arms telling them how happy she was now that they were back together. She then gave all the boys a hug as well and motioned for them to come inside. "Make yourselves at home. But if you'll excuse me, I still had some things to prep for the barbecue." Adrian and Gabriel asked if there was anything they could do to help her. "No, but you can come in the kitchen and keep me company if you like."

Both guys love talking to her so they followed her into the kitchen. They sat at the table and brought her up to date with recent events and their speculation on what Jalisa's next move may be. Once Mrs. Amee had finished with the preparation, they went out back to watch the boys play and enjoy the sun since it was a nice day. The security guy joined them as well.

"Grandma, I meant to ask you this before so I guess now would be a good time as any. Where is Derek?" Adrian asked shortly after they sat down.

"He should be home soon. He had to go into the office for a while." Seeing the concern on Gabriel's face, she preempted the next question. "It's nothing bad. He just had to take care of a screw-up of an order." Adrian then enquired about his son Ian. "He took Ian with him because he's picking up kandyce on his way back."

They nodded in acceptance and moved on to other conversational topics. Twenty minutes later the doorbell rang which got Adrian and Gabriel wondering who it could be. They asked Mrs. Amee but only got a smile from her as she went to answer it. She came back with DeWayne (DMoney, also sometimes known as Money) Morrison, Julian Matthews, and their boys.

Everyone smiled at the happy couple but DMoney had to tease a little. "It's about time you two realize that you can't live without each other and put your family back together. Now keep it together or I'll kick both of your asses."

That got everyone laughing but they knew DMoney was only half joking. Money loves his best friend like a brother and only wants the best for him. And in DMoney's opinion, the best for Adrian is Gabriel. They continued with the camaraderie until once again the doorbell rang. Everyone looked at Mrs. Amee curiously as she stood. "That must be Sean and Bryan with the rest of the food."

DMoney's son Mike (Michael) and his boyfriend Ethan rose with her insisting on helping. She thanked them and they headed inside. As they brought the food in from the car, Mrs. Amee asked them how things were going in their relationship and with raising Ethan's son EJ (Ethan Junior) They had just brought the last dish in when Derek arrived back home with his son and Kandyce. They greeted the three in the kitchen before heading out back to join the party. Mrs. Amee suggested to Derek that he should get the grill started to cook the meat and he agreed.

The two boys place the cold items in the refrigerator and took the hot items out to put them in the chafing dishes to keep hot while Mrs. Amee began making the burger patties. The boys came back in just as the doorbell rang again. Mike went to answer it while Ethan started filling the coolers with ice and drinks. He returned with Adrian's secretary Judy Miller, her husband Joe (Joseph) and their son Joseph Junior but nicknamed Joey. After greeting the couple, Mrs. Amee told them to go on out and joined the party. They will be out soon with the food to put on the grill.

It was five minutes later when the three came out with platters filled with burgers, hot dogs, and chicken along with a cup of barbecue sauce. Derek began putting them on the grill and Mrs. Amee went back inside and then returned with several bug candles. After lighting them, she placed one on each table, including the refreshment table, to keep the bugs away. She then sat and joined in the conversation with the others as they waited for the food to be done while Alonzo, DAngelo, and Nickalus were playing with the little ones.

Just as Derek had taken the last of the meat off the grill, the boys came in from playing ready to eat. The bigger kids made their own plates while the adults made one for the smaller ones. Judy and Adrian put their babies in the playpen that someone had thankfully brought outside before joining the adults in getting a plate for themselves. After everyone had gotten their plates and was seated, Julian brought up the subject that Gabriel was trying to avoid.

"I know you probably don't want to talk about this Gabe, but what do Aunt Louisa have to say about your divorce? I know she can't be happy about it, and is probably insisting that you put your marriage and family back together."

Gabriel swallowed the food he was chewing and sighed. "Actually, I haven't talk to her yet. I've been avoiding her until I'm settled in back at home. Of course that haven't stopped her from constantly calling me which annoyed the hell out of me that I had to turn my phone off.

Now she's calling the house early in the morning trying to interrupt our breakfast wanting to talk to me. I'm just not in the mood to argue with her and want to enjoy having my true family back together before I have to deal with her BS."

Julian nodded. "I think that's a good idea, but you know you can't avoid her forever. You know how she is. She's going to keep calling you until you do what she wants. That's if she doesn't come out here and do it face to face."

Gabriel sighed again as he nodded in agreement. "She can try, but she won't get her way!" Adrian stated determinedly. "Gabe made a commitment to me and our boys, and I'm holding him to that promise. I won't let anyone break up our family again. I've been more of a mother to those boys than Jalisa ever had, and I'm not giving them up."

Everyone couldn't help but to smile at the love and devotion Gabriel showed in his smile to Adrian. They looked around and saw the same expression on everyone faces which screamed that Mrs. Louisa Matthews had finally met her match in Adrian Williams and Gabriel couldn't be happier. They all knew that this time was forever because Gabriel never breaks his word. That is why no one was surprised about the divorce. Gabriel and Jalisa made have said vowels to each other but he never promised her forever.

The rest of the time was spent still catching up on each other's lives. Julian and DMoney's security agency was still the best firm in the state, Joe's partnership with Adrian in AJ Investments was bringing in big accounts, and Derek was making Gabriel a lot of money with his shops. It didn't take long to catch up on the ladies because Mrs. Amee was a retired teacher and Kandyce and Judy are secretaries although Gabriel did take time to catch up on the boys schooling and sports. Mike and Ethan play football for their high school varsity team while Alonzo, DAngelo, and Nickalus played for the JV team.

Around three o'clock Adrian announced that they needed to get going because they still have to unpack. He wanted to get some of it out of the way before dinner so they wouldn't have much to do later. Everyone pitched in with the cleaning up and putting away the leftover food. Afterward, they hugged Mrs. Amee and thanked her for a great barbecue lunch and made plans to do it again soon. As everyone was saying goodbye, Adrian and Gabriel noticed the closeness between Alonzo and one of Julian and DMoney's boys. Not wanting to embarrass their son, they kept their suspicion to themselves and decided to wait until Alonzo came to them on his own.

When they got home they went straight to work with the unpacking. As Adrian suspected, they were half way finished by the time they were called to dinner so they went to wash up. While they waited for the dishes to be set on the table, Adrian and Gabriel read over their messages that Jeffrey had given them when they got home. They can hold off on answering some of them, but others needed to be answer right away so they put them aside until after dinner. This time belongs to the family and nothing was going to interfere with that.

The thought barely ran through their minds when the phone rang but they just kept on eating. A minute later Jeffrey placed another message beside Gabriel then walked away without saying a word. Gabriel just gave it a glance before going back to his conversation with Robby leaving it with the others to return later. He hope that will be the last one because he was starting to get pissed off at these calls during meal time.

After dinner everyone but Adrian finished the unpacking. Some of his messages were urgent; and due to the time difference, he had to return those calls. Gabriel's messages weren't that important and could wait a little longer. The unpacking went quicker this time which made everyone happy. Now that it was out of the way, Gabriel checked in on the boys. After that, he then went to his home office to get started on returning some calls.

His first call was to his older brother Mateo. After two rings, he heard his brother on the other end. Once they had gotten through the greetings, Mattie wasted no time. "What's going on with you Gabe? Did you get a divorce and go back to Adrian?"

"Yes Mattie, I did. I got tired of working and taking care of the children all by myself while Jalisa just did whatever she could to try and spend all my money. Plus, I never stopped loving Dray, and wanted and needed my family back so I filed for a divorce which was finalized yesterday."

"Well it's about damn time you did!" Mattie exclaimed joyously. "I'm glad you finally listened to me and went back to where your heart belongs. I told you that Jalisa wasn't the one for you and mom and dad only wants what they believes a normal family should be according to society. Adrian is the one for you and no one else. He always has been; and he always will be!"

"I know bro. I just thought I was doing the right thing at the time for my child and not realizing how wrong I was. Dray's a man, but he makes a much better mother than Jalisa could ever be. Plus he loves the boys, and they do him. I got my true family back together and that's how it's going to stay."

"It better or I'm going to kick your ass!" Mattie assured his little brother forcefully. "You may be bigger than me now, but you know I still can do it. You and Adrian have something a lot of people are still looking for, and that's true love. So don't let it go again, because you may never get it back."

"I won't bro. You can count on that."

They talked a little longer before making some plans to visit then saying goodbye. Gabriel then called his other siblings but didn't talk to them as much as he did with Mattie. Just as he was hanging up with the last one, Adrian walked into the office. Gabriel pulled him onto his lap and kissed him lovingly. Adrian returned it with equal love and added a little passion. They held it for several minutes before pulling apart and looking deep into each other's eyes with an ear to ear grin.

Suddenly Gabriel broke the trans and sighed heavily. "I think I should call my parents now." Adrian gave him a raised eyebrow at that thought. "I know, I know. But I need to get this over with and the sooner the better. I also want you to stay in here while I do it."

"Are you sure you want that? You and I both know that if they know I'm with you, they're going to start some trash talking, and I'm not just going to sit quietly and take it like some weak little home wrecker. Can you handle that?"

Gabriel kissed him again. "Don't worry; you won't be the only one. I'm not going to let them tell me how to live my life anymore. They'll either accept our relationship or they don't. It's up to them, but that's all that is up to them."

Seeing the conviction in Gabriel's eyes warmed Adrian's heart. They shared another kiss before Gabriel dialed his parent's number and put the phone on speaker. The other end was quickly answered by his mother who didn't give him a chance to say anything before she started in on him. After letting her ramp for a minute or two, he calmly interrupted her in midsentence when she finally had to break for some air.

"Mom, is dad there with you?" After a few second of silence, she gave him an angry yes. "Good. Can you put him on the phone as well please? There's something I need to talk to you both about." He heard her calling for his father before she started ramping again. He ignored her until he heard his father on another line. "Hi Gabriel, what's going on with you son?"

"Hi dad, just so you know this call is on speaker and Dray is with me." As expected, his mother started with the derogatory comments about Adrian. "That's enough mother! I won't have you speaking to Dray like that. Do I make myself clear!?"

His mother didn't answer but she did stop insulting Adrian. "Now, as I'm sure you know by now, Jalisa and I got a divorce." She started to interrupt but Gabriel cut her off. "I'm not going back so don't waste your breath trying to convince me. My heart always has been, and always will be with Dray. He and I will spend the rest of our live together raising our children into strong and loving men."

Gabriel Matthews!" His mother screamed. "I want you to stop all this queer talk right now! Go back to your wife and beg for her forgiveness. I won't allow you to continue with this disgusting life style! It's not the proper way to raise two innocent children into proper gentlemen."

"My life style is neither disgusting nor improper mother!" Gabriel said with so much venom that Adrian was sure it could be felt through the phone. "I'm where I belong and where I'm going to stay. I will not break up my family or Dray's heart again just to suit your needs. Dray and I love each other and I don't care what you want.

Now you have only two choices. You can either accept our relationship or not. But if you don't, then you will be out of ours and our children lives forever. Don't force me to make a choice between you and them. Because I promise you, you won't like the choice I'll make. So what's it going to be!?"

"Son, don't do something you might regret later." His father said in a gentle but manipulating tome in hopes to persuade his son. "I'm sure if we sit down and talk about this, we can come up with some kind of compromise. We only want what's best for you and your two boys."

"First of all, I don't have two boys, I have four. Secondly, there will be no negotiation. You heard your two choices and there nonnegotiable. And finally, the only thing I regret was leaving Dray and breaking up my family in the first place. There's nothing you can say or do that will get me to change my mind so don't even try. Now the ball is in your court. Except our relationship or be out of our lives forever. For your sake, I hope you make the right decision."

He then hung up the phone not giving them a chance to respond and turned to Adrian. Adrian kissed him with so much love and affection that it took Gabriel's breath away. "I'm glad that you held firm and stood your ground. But you know this isn't over, right?"

"I know. They're probably already checking on the earliest flight availability as we speak. It doesn't matter though, because I meant what I said. I hope they don't force me to make that choice because I really don't want to lose my parents."

A tear fell from Gabriel's eyes but he quickly wiped it away. Adrian pulled him into a hug sympathizing with the pain he must be going through and letting him cry it out. It took about fifteen minutes, but Gabriel's tears finally subsided and they went to spend the rest of the night with their boys. Not long after, the boys started drifting off to sleep so they put them to bed then headed for their room. As soon as they were in bed and Adrian was wrapped in Gabriel's arms, they both were soon sound asleep from the emotional drain of the day.

The next morning they had awoken later than they had the day before because once again they forgot to set the alarm. After having a quick shower and dressing, they went to get the boys ready and headed downstairs. Breakfast was just being put on the table when they walked in the kitchen so they made sure the boys had a plate before making one for themselves. Everyone could tell that Gabriel had something on his mind and kept the chatter to a minimum. This time they weren't interrupted by the phone ringing which everyone was thankful for.

After breakfast, Alonzo took his brothers to the game room at his father's request while they went to Adrian's office. They needed to return an important call about one of their joint businesses. Gabriel always relished this time, especially during their separation because it was one of the few times he was around Adrian. It hurt too much being around one another so during that period of time Adrian always avoided Gabriel unless there was some trouble with their children or businesses.

Fortunately the problem wasn't as big as they thought. It took a couple of calls, but they soon had the situation taken care of and everything back on track. They had just finished with the call when there was a knock on the door. They told whoever it was to come in and the door opened revealing Alonzo as he walked in.

"Hey dads, is it alright for us to go over to Uncle Money's house for awhile? I told DAngelo and Nickalus that I would try to come over today since we haven't been there lately because of everything that had been going on."

Gabriel looked at Adrian who nodded. "If it's okay with your uncles, then it's okay with us."

Alonzo told his dads that it was okay with his uncles. He gave them both a hug before going to find their security and get his brothers ready. In the meantime, Adrian and Gabriel still had more calls to make that didn't involve their joint businesses. Gabriel gave Adrian a kiss and went to his office so they both could have some privacy. Throughout the morning they were in and out of calls trying to get through them all that by the time they had ended the last one it was time for lunch. After washing up, they met up in the kitchen and enjoyed some alone time together over a delicious meal. Their security was working on something in the security office so Bryan and Sean took their lunches to them.

After lunch they cuddled on the sofa to watch a movie and let their food digest. Adrian wanted to keep Gabriel's mind occupied so he wouldn't be thinking about his parents and what they may be up to. Just as the credits from their second movie were rolling on the screen, a call came over the house intercom that someone was at the gates to see Gabriel. "Here we go." He sighed and told the person to let them through but didn't move nor let go of Adrian.

It was only a few seconds later when the doorbell started ringing constantly which irritated them both. Still they didn't move as they watched Jeffrey walking pass the living room to answer the door then watched Gabriel's mother furiously stomping in followed by his father in a more subdued paste. The look of disgust on her face to see them cuddling didn't affect either guy as Gabriel gestured to a sofa. "Hello mom and dad, please have a seat. We've been expecting you."

"No thank you Gabriel, we won't be staying long. Now go and pack some clothes for you and the boys while I go and get them. We're taking you home where you belong. We'll get the rest of your things tomorrow."

They just laughed at her which made her even angrier. "Obviously you weren't listening last night mother." Gabriel's laughter then turned into a look of defiance. "I am home where I belong. And there's nothing you can do about it, so don't try! I meant what I said. You either accept my relationship with Dray or you will be vanished from our lives until you do."

"I won't have you talking to me in that way Gabriel Matthews! I am your mother and you will show me some respect and do as I say. I don't know what that disgusting piece of trash did to you, but this immoral behavior will stop right now!"

Adrian started to get up but Gabriel stopped him. "Dray baby no, don't do it." He pulled Adrian back close to him and stared his mother in the eyes with so much hostility it had her shaking on the inside. "Do not insult the man I love in our own home or I will let him loose on you! Is that understood?" When he didn't get an answer, he asked again with more venom in his voice. "I said is that understood!?"

His mother was scared shitless and couldn't do anything but nod. "Good. Now, as far as your orders goes, I'm disregarding them. I will not leave the person I love and destroy my family again for anyone. The sooner you both get that through your heads, the better you'll be.

I don't give a damn if you think our relationship is immoral or not! Dray is the one I was meant to be with and he makes me happy. You should be happy I found someone who truly loves me; but no, you're too worried about what people will think because it's not the social norms. Well Dray and I don't care what people think because the only thing that matters is that we're both happy and so are our children."

"Son, I'm sure you think this is what you want, but if you think about it I'm sure you'll realize that you're just trying to live out a fantasy." His father spoke up for the first time. "I know that if you go back to Jalisa and beg her to forgive you; you'll see that it was the right thing to do."

Gabriel stood up staring both his parents down. "Listen to me, and listen good! There's nothing for me to beg Jalisa for. Obviously you can't or won't accept I'm home where I belong which leaves me with only one choice.

Don't call or write me or the boys. Until you accept the fact that Dray and I are going to be together, you are no longer welcome in our house or our lives. I am a grown man, and I will live my life for me, not you. Now I suggest you leave before I have you thrown out!"

Suddenly the front door close and footsteps could be heard coming towards the living room. They all looked over to see DMoney and Julian standing in the doorway blocking the view from the children. Julian looked behind him to whisper to Mike and Ethan to take the children to the game room before turning back. "Look who it is. We knew you would be making an appearance sooner or later to try and force Gabriel to leave his family again."

"Oh they're still trying." Adrian smirked. "Unfortunately for them it isn't working. Not only that, but Gabe just band them from contacting us in any way, shape, or form, and asked them to leave. They just do not comprehend that their little boy is all grown up now with a mind of his own."

Julian sighed tiredly and shook his head. "They never could accept no for an answer. They always have to have things their way no matter what anyone says. I'm sure they tried telling Gabe that if he thinks about it he'll see that their way is right and his is wrong, am I'm right?"

Mrs. Matthews glared at Julian with hatred. "I think you should stay out of this young man. No one needs to hear your opinion because it's none of your business."

"Oh but Aunt Louisa, it is my business. Who do you think Gabe came to when he needed someone to just listen and not force their opinions on him, hmmm? Who do you think was the one he confided in about getting a divorce and putting his real family back together?" The look of shock on Mrs. Matthews's face was almost orgasmic to Julian. "That's right, it was me."

"I knew it!" Mr. Matthews nearly shouted. "I knew you were the one helping my son down the path of depravity. Stay the hell away from my son or you'll have to deal with me!" He then turned to Gabriel with a stand of authority. "I forbid you to have any contact with Julian ever again! Now do what your mother said and let's go."

Gabriel and Adrian, and Julian and DMoney looked at each other and busted out laughing. "Yes sir dear father of mine." Gabriel taunted as he saluted. "Do us all a favor and leave before you make even more of a fool out of yourselves because you're not wanted here."

Seeing they weren't going to move, Adrian called for Jeffrey who was there in short time. "Yes Mr. Adrian?"

"See these two to the door please." He gestured at Gabriel's parents. "If they give you any problems then have them forcefully removed. Also, please inform security that they're not permitted to have any access to the property or any contact with the boys."

Mr. and Mrs. Matthews looked at their son demanding him to refute Adrian's orders but Gabriel just smiled and put his arm around Adrian's shoulders pulling him into a kiss. Seeing Jeffrey coming towards them, the Matthews got ready to defend themselves until they saw Adrian's head of security standing in the hall watching with smirks on their faces that said `I wouldn't if I was you. And decided to go peacefully for now.

As they walked past the kissing couple, Mrs. Matthews tried one more attempt at her son. "We'll talk about this when you had cooled off and are thinking more rationally Gabriel. I won't allow you to ruin yours or your two son's lives for a despicable fling."

Gabriel kept on kissing Adrian as he gave his mother the finger. That was the last straw for his parents. They never felt more disrespected or humiliated in their lives and inwardly vowed to somehow break him and Adrian up for good. They stomped out of the house in anger while at the same time secretly making plans to get what they want and believes is right.

Back in the house, DMoney was pretending like he was clearing his throat to get the kissing dual to remember that they weren't alone. It was another two minutes before the pair finally separated and looked at the others still in the room with sheepish grins on their faces. Luckily the call for dinner spared them from further embarrassment. Adrian kept Gabriel back as the others headed for the kitchen to see how he's holding up after his parents visit. "I'm fine, but I think we should be on guard for the foreseeable future. I don't think they're going to give up this easily."

"I agree. I'll let the security know to be on alert for anything that may look suspicious. In the meantime, we just keep living our lives as normal. We don't need to alarm the boys and have them worrying about anything. That's our job."

"I concur. But I hope they can come to terms with our relationship Dray, because I really don't want part of my family destroyed by having my parents arrested or something worse. We'll all be much better off if they only realize that there's nothing they can do that will break us up again."

Adrian hugged Gabriel in sympathy before they went for dinner. Nothing else needed to be said at that moment. All they can do now is wait and see what Mr. and Mrs. Matthews's next move will be and be on alert. As they walked into the kitchen, all the older boys could see that something was wrong and kept the little ones occupied so they wouldn't be scared. Always being observant to his parent's emotional states, Alonzo kept giving his fathers glances throughout dinner telling them that he knows something is wrong, but he also know they will take care of whatever it is.

Their guess stayed for a little while after dinner until DMoney told his boys it was time to go. While the boys got their thing, he and Julian talked privately with Adrian and Gabriel about this afternoon's fiasco. "What are you going to do about them?"

"I'll tell you both the same thing I told Gabe Money. There's nothing for us to do but stay on alert and live our lives as normal until we know what they're going to do next. Once we know that, then we can decide what to do. We know this not the end of it, but we can't let it interfere with everything else we need to do."

"Don't forget you also have me and Julian on your side. If you ever need us, just give a call and we'll be right there day or night." Both Gabriel and Adrian nodded in thanks. "Well, we better get these guys home. It's almost EJ's bedtime."

The four guys hugged then all of the boys did the same with their uncles. After DMoney, Julian, and the boys left, Gabriel and Adrian put on a short movie to watch with the boys until they started nodding off. Once they were all put into bed, Gabriel and Adrian headed for their own. As soon as their heads hit the pillows they were out like a light.

To Be Continued...

Writer's Corner:

Welcome one and all to my new story. I hope you have enjoyed reading this chapter as much as I did writing it. Now let's get to the summary of this chapter, shall we?

We started out with one of the main characters getting a divorce. Hmmm, who would have thought of a story starting like that? I don't know, but it seemed right to me to start that way, or maybe I'm just crazy and nuts.

Anyway, Gabriel divorced his money hungry wife and begged for his true love forgiveness which was given. I guess Adrian is one hell of a man for taking him back after Gabriel left him for someone he didn't love. I don't know if I can do something like that after the person I love can leave me the way Gabriel left Adrian.

Jalisa's going by it the wrong way to try and get Gabriel back. Reminding him that he has a family to take care of is only pushing him further into Adrian's arms. Insulting one of his boys isn't helping either. I would have done more than just slap her if I was him.

All of Gabriel and Adrian's family and friends were happy to see the two back together again. Mrs. Amee even through a barbecue to celebrate the joyous reunion that no one wanted to miss. I wondered what Screw-up with an order that Derek had to go into the office for on the weekend.

It looks like Alonzo may be gay and have a crush. Who could it be?

Gabriel's eldest sibling is happy that he's back with Adrian, but, how do his other siblings feel about it? Only time can tell.

Mr. and Mrs. Matthews are a piece of work. One parent is demanding he do what they say, and the other is trying to manipulate him into it. I'm glad that Gabriel stood his ground and followed his heart. What will his parents try doing next?
