Chapter Twenty-One

Everything settled down for a while; the rest of August and September were quiet and uneventful. Around the first of October, Remy decided to take his clothing business online. Wayne and him bought a huge storage building and insulated it to make Remy a warehouse and shipping area, so now they could be together full-time. Remy had decided that since he had Wayne, he didn't need to be in the city as much, and when he needed a fix of crowded club life, him and Randy would go spend a weekend in Dallas or Houston. Me and Luis took the out to celebrate. You should have seen the look on Wayne's face when I pulled into Cracker Barrel.

Very unexpectedly, at least to us, Felipe announced that he was going to Atlanta. He had applied to a bunch of colleges during his senior year and he got the acceptance letter from Emory about the time all the other drama was going on, but never said anything to us. So, we were running around like crazy helping him get ready to move again. Luis bought him a newer car; the old beater he had wouldn't make too many trips that far.

The house was quiet after Lipe left, especially during the daytime while Randy was in school. A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, Randy came home with a new friend. Kieran's parents had just immigrated from Ireland and he was a walking stereotype. He was shy and well-mannered with wavy red hair, green eyes and from the time I caught a glimpse of him going from Randy's room to the bathroom in the buff, he had a pretty good-sized piece of meat coming out of an auburn colored thicket. (Randy may have given up the truly monster cocks, but he still liked the longer end of normal).

Everybody was at our place for Thanksgiving. We had a lot to be thankful for this year. After Thanksgiving dinner, we went around the table and said what we were thankful for; kind of a family tradition. We waited until everybody else had their turn, then Luis and me said were thankful to have found each other. Wayne made throat-clearing noises. I said, let me rephrase that, we're thankful Wayne set us up. Then we asked everybody to come back for our wedding on December 31, the reception would be a blow out New Year's Eve party. After the wedding blow-out Luis and me left for our honeymoon in the Grand Caymans.

I guess that's the end of How I Met Your Mother, I mean how I met and married my true love. To all you young folks out there: True, real love is a rare and special thing. If you find it hold onto it for dear life and never let it go. You'll have arguments, talk your way through them. Never go to bed angry.

That's the end of our little story. I may write more about some of these characters if there is enough interest. Right now, I'm leaning toward what happens with Kieran and Randy, or Randall as Kieran calls him. Love to all.
