Getting up he looked for a note but didn't find one, sighing he went out to the kitchen to look for anything good to eat. Running his fingers through his tangled hair he opened the fridge. He looked at the contents and shook his head. All that was there were several steaks and a few assorted fruits. That meant he would have to go out, since Gabriel forbade the cooking of meat in the house. Playing briefly with a loose curl he decided to risk it. He had too much to do tonight. Taking a steak out of the fridge he was about to put it on when Gabriel arrived. "Not in the house please. I just fed, I don't want to be sick." Arija turned, "well if you would go shopping I wouldn't have to.' Gabriel sighed, "Why don't you?" Arija turned. "You know how I detest people. I don't like public places." Gabriel shook his head, "I know it and some of your other dark secrets. None of my influence will ever change them will they?" Arija laughed. "Me, a Catholic? Not, in my lifetime nor yours my ancient friend. I will never be Catholic." Gabriel sighed, "No you are too set in your ways." Arija shook his head. "You know damn well my beliefs have nothing to do with it." Gabriel nodded, "or so you say." Arija didn't reply, to his comment, but instead went into the other room and sat down in front of the computer. Turning it on, he put in a disc and brought up word perfect and then the Net. He thoughtfully read the mail from a friend. Gabriel came in and rested his head on his shoulder. "Anything good?" Arija shook his head. "Not too much. James sent an invitation to dinner and says he is anxious to meet you. And Brent from London wants me to think of a character for him. Other than that there isn't anything." Gabriel nodded, "I don't care to go to dinner." Arija looked up, "Have no fear I regretfully declined, saying we were busy." Arija disconnected, from the internet and opened Word. "I will be busy for awhile." Gabriel laughed, "Awhile? Try all night. Come on Love, lets do something tonight. Every night you sit there writing, its time we did something together." Arija looked up, " Like what?" Gabriel shrugged, "I don't really know. Let's wing it." Arija shook his head, "I wing nothing." Gabriel sighed "Arija, you need to get out." He leaned down and kissed his neck running his sharp fangs over it lightly. Arija shivered, "Why is that? Why must I go out?" Gabriel sighed, "You never do, all you do is sit here or occasionally eat. You used to go out. We used to do things together. What happened, Ari?" Arija shrugged. "My tastes changed. It happens Gabe. I haven't been around for two hundred years, and I have no desire to be. I court death everyday and I have no desire to be reminded of how others live. How they are." Gabriel shook his head. "I don't follow your logic." Arija sighed, "You never have Gabe." Gabriel shrugged, "How can I when you never explain yourself?" Arija didn't answer. "So where would you like to go?" Arija turned, "I need some writing supplies and some inspiration. So I suggest a bookstore and then somewhere quiet." Gabriel sighed. "All right so that means a bookstore and then home. For being an accomplished writer you have a distinct lack of imagination." Arija looked back at his screen. "Well my job is to write, not decide where we should go." Gabriel smiled displaying his fangs and his nature. "Why don't we go to a picture and make love in the park?" Arija blinked, "Okay how about we get arrested and you starve to death in prison? Times have changed and in this century it's against the law to make love in a public place." Gabriel reached over and turned the computer off. "Come on Ari, were going out." Unaccustomed to the sudden forcefulness he sighed. "I really would rather not." Gabriel looked at him. "Fine then we will stay home." He turned and left the room closing the door behind him. Arija stared at the screen for a moment before he got up and went into the small livingroom. Gabriel had laid down on the couch and was reading one of his books. Gabriel's short black hair and deep blue eyes were so attractive coupled with his firm features, slender body, and his pale skin made him irresistable to Arija. Gabriel was silent as a cat, and moved like liquid. At times he stood so perfectly still he could be mistaken for statue. Arija remembered how they had met and laughed to himself. He'd been in the middle of a Satanic Ritual, when Gabriel had burst in upon him. He was just finishing the final chant when Gabriel burst through the shuttered window. He called him evil, a worker of Satan; a foul mortal hand for a dark, immortal master. He had calmly stood up and told him that most visitors used the front door. By candlelight it had been easy to see what he was. Especially when he charged him, fangs bared, claiming that he had been sent by the Lord to end his evil ways. He'd laughed then, his exact words being, "Oh this is rich a Catholic vampire coming to destroy me? You claim I am evil? Take a look in the mirror and see who's calling the kettle black." He'd stepped aside and let him run into the wall then. Infact he ran into the wall a few times before he calmed down. "I am not evil. I was made this way to lead other's to the light." He laughed again, "right, and I am the Tooth fairy. Doesn't it say in your laws that you shalt not kill? Thou Shalt not steal? Don't you think by taking and sucking people dry you aren't stealing their life? Isn't stealing their life called killing? Seems like a catch twenty two if you ask me, seeing as how you have to kill in order to live." That had stopped him in tracks for a moment before he tried to defend himself. Arija had turned on the light then and blown out his candles. "Aren't you afraid of me?" Arija laughed, "Nope as an author I live for events like this, and as a Santanist I expect them, besides why should I fear you? I have written about more adept vampires than you. If I were you I would work on the element of surprise a bit more and edit your speech a little." Perhaps it was his boldness that made Gabriel come back, or perhaps it was because he'd been the only one who ever challenged his beliefs and made him see how it really was for him. Or perhaps he was simply lonely. Arija supposed it was the latter. What ever, the reason he did come back and they had become friends and later lovers as he discovered the Vampire Priest was gay. He really wasn't surprised as he knew most priests were gay, or had a strong inclination to be. What did surprise him was the way he made love. What started loving and gentle often turned to a rough overwhelming animalistic passion, a need to dominate and take. It was, however, fueled by love and his vampiric needs. Arija discovered that Vampires were passionate beings when it came to emotional things. They tended to throw themselves into things whole heartedly, especially when it came to love and pleasure. Vampires, he discovered, unlike humans, rarely engaged in random sex or short term relationships unless they are hunting. Arija discovered that for a vampire there was no greater pleasure then taking a life at the high point of love making. However this was a pleasure Gabriel would not allow himself. Arija hoped however this would change. He wanted Gabriel to take him, bury his fangs deep into his neck and guide him to death while they made love. He wanted Gabriel to have the pleasure he denied himself, while granting Arija what he always wanted, death. His small thin, frame, was neither elegant nor attractive. His eyes were the color of dirty water with flecks of pond scum. His brown hair was impossible and forever a tangled rat's nest of unruly curls. He didn't understand why someone like Gabriel would be interested in him, save for the fact he was lonely. "Why are you staring at me?" Gabriel asked startling him back to the present. "What?" Gabriel raised his brows. "You have been staring at me for the past five minutes and I was wondering why." Arija shifted, "I was just thinking." Gabriel sat up, about what? Your next book?" His sarcasim was biting. "No, I was thinking about how we met.' Gabriel nodded, "I see." Arija sat down on the edge of the couch and looked around the small room. The he laid down and Gabriel turned on his side to make room for him. "Gabe, what do you see when you look at me?" Gabriel looked at him thoughtfully for a moment. `I see a delicate man who hides behind a wall. Someone who hurts and has drawn, away from the world to hide in a prison of his own making. A man who both loves and hates the prison he has created for himself. He is too frightened to leave, so he paces as a caged lion will until there is nothing there and the walls are to high to look over or leave. He has made no door so no one can enter and he can not leave, and in his prison he will live until he dies or another knocks down those walls and liberates him." Arija pulled away a little startled by such a true analysis of himself. "No I mean what do I look like to you?" Gabriel ran his hands through his hair. "You are delicate like Victorian lace, with hazel eyes that remind me of a forest. Your hair is the color of wet sand by the ocean at nightfall." Arija smiled, "You should be the writer, not me." Gabriel laughed, "No I have no interest in writing." He played with the curls of Arija's hair and hugged him. "Ah, what a couple we make." Arija nodded in agreement, "Where did you want to go?" Gabriel shook his head, "Right now there is no place I would rather be then right here with you." Arija smiled and snuggled up to Gabriel. He unbuttoned his white shirt and sucked on Gabriel's nipple. "Someone is frisky." Gabriel observed pushing his hair back from his face. "No I just like the intimacy of laying here with you and playing around." Gabriel slid his hand along the inside of Arija's thigh and caressed him. "I like it too." Arija lifted his knee and rested it on Gabriel's hip, to give him better access. Gabriel caressed him more. "Will you let me have some of you?" Arija nodded. "Of course you can. I would never say you couldn't." Gabriel smiled, "I am glad, that you trust me like that." Arija did not reply Instead he buried his head in his lover's chest and sucked his nipple. Biting him hard he pressed against his lover's sex, pleased to hear a soft groan from the Vampire. Gabriel rolled over Arija and pulled his shirt off a little roughly. Pulling his pants down he allowed Arija to remove them completely. Then he scooped him up as if he weighed no more than a little child and carried him to their room. Laying him down on the bed he pulled off his shirt, and undid his pants. Slipping out of them he laid down beside Arija. He stayed there only briefly as he then got up and moved over him. Looking up at his lover Arija felt a tingle of excitement go through him. It seemed to him, that each time they made love things went a little further then they had before. It excited him to know Gabriel was loosing his restraint. Perhaps this time it would be for good; Perhaps tonight he would be unable to stop himself and would take him while they made love. Oh, he could only hope. Reaching up he caressed him gently fondling his balls and his sex. Gabriel's sex was cool, not cold, as one would expect, but plesently cold. It brought images of making love to a freshly dead person, or one who was dying. Arija shifted as his lover pulled his hand away and leaned down to kiss him. His sharp fangs grazing his tongue, which Arija pressed against them, tempting his lover. Gabriel's kisses were deep and passionate as he ran the rough velvet of his tongue through the confines of his mouth. Arija sucked on his tongue gently, while Gabriels hands explored his body touching and caressing every inch of him. Arija closed his eyes moaning, he arched against the hands, that were bringing him such pleasure. Gabriel pinched him not so gently and pinned his hands to his sides. Arija did not fight fight him, but laid beneith him. His hazel eyes watched him as he fondled his nipples, his hand lightly grazing his chest as they travelled from there to his sex. He caressed it and firmly taking it in had he stroked it. Arija groaned pushing up against his hand only to be pushed back and held forcefully down. Arija's hands were then pulled and held above his head as Gabriel forced his tongue into Arija's mouth licking the sides and roof of his mouth. He bit his lip drawing blood, he sucked on it moaning softly he licked at the wound, ingnoring the sharp intake of air, from Arija, he continued. He fondled him gently and then with increased roughness as his desires unfolded. Moaning softly Arija encouraged Gabriel's roughness and Gabriel responded pressing his fingers into him he bit and licked his nipples. Moving up he kissed Arija and positioned himself over him., and Arija prepared himself for what came next. Relaxing his body he pushed out when Gabriel entered him roughly and violently. Arija gasped crying out as at that moment Gabriel pressed his fangs into his neck. He could feel his blood gush out and knew in an instant that this was different and he smiled. Gabriel's bite was lower and deeper, and he moved as he sucked sliding himself in and almost out of his body quickly. Arija moaned softly, his pleasure builing, he became light headed, his lover became more gentle, but the rate at which he sucked neither increased or diminished. As He was sliding under the effects of unconsciousness he felt his Lovers pace quicken. He gone by the time he peaked and and released his cool seed into him. Gabriel laid his dead lover on the bed and looked at him. Gently closing his eyes he kissed him "I told you once long ago I was sent to end your evil ways. For a long time I thought I was until tonight. You proved to me you never would change. I gave you what you wanted. Goodnight my Arija good night." Gabriel dressed then and picked the body up. Carrying it to the near by cemetary he placed it in a mosuleum in a cement casket and closed the lid. "Rest in Peace Love."
