Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2005 17:03:14 +0000 From: Douglas DD DD Subject: The Boys of Lady Lex Chapter 51 The boys gain some in sports and friendship. Admiral Whitaker advances his plan. The Lady Lex is moving towards its destiny. But what will that destiny be? Once again, thanks for reading. The Boys of the Lady Lex Chapter 51 "A Sporting Chance" Written By Douglas DD and Benjamin T. C. Johnny Cooper sat relaxing on a couch in the hotel lounge. It was still a half hour until curfew. His uniform looked strange without his CO epaulets on it. In some ways it the way it looked seemed right. Yet, as much as he wanted to tell himself he didn't care if he was the CO or not, he did care. He cared about the Lady Lex. He cared about what Captain Hatcher thought of him. That in itself was strange to him, because he couldn't remember the last time he had cared about the opinion of an adult, especially one in a position of authority. He looked at the score sheet Mike had just handed him. The Lady Lex had won at both levels of hockey and baseball. They had been competitive in tennis, with the doubles team winning both matchers. Their wrestlers had fought with incredible ferocity, winning half their matches and picking up badly needed points. And Scooter and Ian had been incredible in the academic phase of the competition. After being shut out on Monday, they had picked up 31 points on Tuesday. In one day the Lady Lex had gone from a laughing stock to a force to be reckoned with. Beating the Royals twice in baseball had definitely opened some eyes. They had leapt from dead last to third place. Now, if they could just sustain their momentum. Johnny was confident they could. They were hungry. They were angry. They were proud. And he would not let them ease up. ***** Ben kissed Trevor. The two boys were both exhausted, but they had taken one more step towards cementing their brotherly love. The luxury of the large hotel beds was something the boys hadn't experienced in months, and numerous boys from the Lady Lex, not to mention other JFSA ships were taking advantage of the big queen sized beds in their hotel rooms. Since Ben and Trevor had settled their differences there hadn't been much opportunity to show their love for each other. The excitement of winning, the thrill of showing that Lady Lex was not populated by Three Ls, had created sexual tension that needed to be released. There were six boys in room 512. Ben, his twin brothers, Trevor and Andrew, as well as Douglas, Nipper, and Ian were all on the two beds-naked and horny. Trevor and Ian had come to see Douglas and Ben to discuss the day's events. They had barely settled in when Andrew and Nipper showed up. The talk soon started to change from baseball to sex. The three brothers realized that they had never had sex together. Douglas and Nipper offered to leave the room, but the brothers seemed to relish the idea of having sex in front of their respective boy friends. The boyfriends liked the idea of joining the fun and having sex on the other bed. What happened was a mass of naked boys, sweat, grunting, moaning, cursing, incredible feelings, and seemingly endless orgasms producing gallons of sweet hot boy cum. Ben ended up cumming in each of the twin's hot tight asses, one time with Andrew sucking Trevor as Ben fucked him. Douglas's fondest moment was being in the middle of Nipper and Ian, with him up his brother's butt while Ian fucked him like a horny little rabbit. The boys now lay exhausted on the bed. The visiting boys didn't want to go back to their rooms. Ben and Douglas were more than happy to have them stay. The sleeping arrangements ended up a bit different than the sexual groupings had been. Douglas slept with Ben and Trevor while Andrew moved over to the other bed to sleep with Nipper and Ian. The sex didn't end there, however, as Trevor managed to top Douglas as Ben was sucking Douglas. The three boys on the other bed kissed and rubbed bodies until they shot their sweet, watery cum over each other. As they once again went into recovery from their sexual activities, Ben looked at the clock. "It's almost lights out guys. I guess we better be good," he said. "We don't play until the afternoon," Trevor protested. "We can sleep in." "Nice thinking, Hawke," Douglas said, "but all cadets are expected to be at breakfast in the morning." "Yeah, you're right. And I hate saying that, too," Trevor the Hawke said with a grin. The boys took care of their nightly routines, and slept soundly, their smooth naked bodies entwined on the two beds. ***** Trevor, Ian, Andrew, and Nipper looked sheepish as acting Cadet XO TJ Polaski dressed them down. Commander Creevey sat in the distance, checking to see how her choice to succeed Mike Wakeman handled the situation. She wondered how long the situation would last and when Captain Hatcher would elect to return Johnny Cooper to his command position. Knowing the captain, that could be never. Either way, she was careful to tell TJ his position was a temporary one. "You weren't in your rooms at bed check last night," she said sternly. "We were visiting Ben and Douglas and we fell asleep," Trevor said. "I noticed. I checked their room as well. I wasn't about to wake you up and tell you to go back to sleep." Thank goodness he has some commonsense, Douglas thought. I am going to have to mete out a punishment, however, since you weren't where you belonged after lights out." Now we'll see how much commonsense he really has, Douglas mused. Mike would have given us a token punishment if he was still the XO. But he wouldn't have had Creevey looking over his shoulder either. "We're not going to be suspended from our game are we?" Trevor asked with a slight hint of panic in his voice. "No. What you did was dumb, but not dumb enough to put the entire crew of the Lady Lex in jeopardy. But, after the games, the fans seem to have a way of leaving a lot of stuff behind. So, all of you will be helping the grounds crew clean up the stands after your games, today and tomorrow." The boys actually looked relieved at the news. They would be able to play, and helping to clean up the stands, while work, wasn't something that would take up a lot of time. Considering the benefits of the night before, all six boys figured the price was worth it, although deep in his heart Trevor didn't see why he should be punished when in fact he had been in bed before lights out. ***** By the one o'clock start of the baseball game between the "Monitor" and the "Lexington" the stands were full. The Lady Lex was getting a bit of a following among the crews of the SFA ships, and from the tourists who were on Hawking's Planet specifically for the Olympics. Eric Larsen was the starting pitcher for the Lady Lex. The lanky blonde was on top of his game, using his high leg kick to blast in knee high fastballs and knee buckling curves. A triple and a double by Douglas along with home runs by Ben and Travis Tucker fueled a 7-1 Lady Lex win. Eric went all seven innings for the win. After the game, Ben and Douglas were handed brooms and plastic bags and set to work cleaning the stands. Douglas couldn't figure out why modern technology hadn't come up with self-cleaning stands. The JV had a harder time of it. They trailed 6-5 going into the bottom of the seventh. But a one-out single by Nipper brought Trevor the Hawke to the plate as the winning run. Trevor worked the count to 3-1 and got the fast pitch he was looking for. He flew around the bases, making it seem he was almost home before the ball landed well beyond the left-field fence. The Lady Lex had a sweet 7-6 win to celebrate. After the handshakes and hugs, brooms and plastic garbage bags were handed to Ian, Andrew, Trevor, and Nipper. The stands for both baseball fields were spotless by the time the boys left the field and headed for dinner. Like the baseball team, the hockey varsity had a routine game, giving the "Oriskanee" a 6-1 whipping. And, as in baseball, the JV team had a rougher time than the varsity. They ended up on the short end of a 5-4 overtime loss. They had played hard and well, but so had the "Oriskanee". The score was a reminder to all of the boys that playing hard and well wasn't enough. They needed to play all-out to win. The basketball team, in its first game since losing Monday, played the Kritons. The Kritons were big, but slow and inexperienced. What surprised the Lady Lex was the great shooting skills they showed. The Kritons were noted for their excellent hand-eye coordination, and that skill showed itself on the hardwood. Good shooting, however, wasn't enough, as the Lady Lex won the varsity game 76-51 and the JV won 49-39. Many of the Lady Lex boys were good playground players, but lacked the discipline required to beat a good team. The creativity of the playground showed itself in this game. Now it was a question of whether they could take the creativity and mix it with a helping of discipline to beat a more skilled team. Tennis, more a rich boys game than a street boys game, netted no points for the Lady Lex that day. They did fare better in swimming. Chris Gould, a sophomore, had belonged to a swimming club before deciding he liked breaking into houses better. His training came back to him and he dominated three of the meets, leading the Lady Lex to a third place finish overall, behind the "Monitor" and the "Orion", the only ships with full-size pools. After the third day the Lady Lex was still in third, but the good news was that in hockey and baseball all four teams qualified for the position round. The JV hockey team ended up in a three way tie and got the nod on a tie breaker stat. If a ship wanted to win the Olympics, it needed as many teams in the final elimination round as it could get. By tomorrow evening the basketball finalists would be known as well. ***** Captain Harland Avery glared from behind his desk. "What do you mean neither of our baseball teams qualified? And what is the bullshit about swimming? How do we end up finishing fifth? I mean even the fucking "Lexington" finished ahead of us and most of their kids only saw a swimming pool when they were burglarizing some rich asshole's house. And how the FUCK do they fucking end up qualifying two baseball teams to our none?" Christopher Avery held his ground before his father's onslaught. He'd been through this since his first memories. Now he had to take it doubly as son and as cadet CO. Christopher remembered the day he was assigned to the "Port Royal". He was twelve and so ready to get away from his father. He also remembered the day his father was given command of the "Port Royal." His request for a transfer had been denied. And now he was the cadet CO, courtesy of his father, who pretty much had commanded him to apply for it, knowing he would get the position. Surprisingly, they had formed a good working relationship; better as captain to cadet than as father to son. But Christopher knew his father would put up with nothing less than winning the Olympics. "Sir, we are currently in first place." "Son, I don't give a rusty fuck where we are...currently. What I care about is where we are after the last day of the Olympics. I strongly suggest you make sure we're there." "Yes, sir." Christopher left the office wishing he was somewhere else. Hell, being a cadet on the "Lexington" has to be better than this, he thought. ***** Thursday was another day of games. None of team sports were scheduled, but tennis, fencing, wrestling, and academics were all on the docket. Stan took one last look himself in the locker room mirror. He was slated to wrestle another 135 pounder, a boy from the "Monitor". He liked wrestling. He had wrestled at school and had done quite well. He was pleased to find out wrestling was a JFSA Olympic sport. He didn't care one way or the other whether the "Lexington" won or lost. His future was set no matter what happened to the ship. His friend, the high ranking officer at SFA headquarters, would see to that. But he wanted to win for himself; win because he was competitive and took pride in his wrestling. It was one of the few things he did well; that and following orders, no matter how strange they might be. He thought about the device he had placed on the "Wonder Boy" so many months ago it almost seemed like years. The "Wonder Boy" was supposed to fly into space, uncontrolled, until it crashed into the first object it came close to. The officer had assured him he was in no danger. There was no way he would be caught; there was no way the incident could ever be traced to him because the "Wonder Boy" would be destroyed along with any incriminating evidence. The officer had assured him he was in no danger. The fact that some boys would be killed was too bad, but they certainly wouldn't have been the first people he had killed. Sometimes strong action was needed to get what you wanted. The officer had been wrong on both counts. Not only was the device found, but the "Wonder Boy" had almost collided with the "Lexington". He was ready to refuse the next request from the mysterious officer. The officer reminded him about his future. Continue to cooperate, he would be free, and there would be a position in the SFA awaiting him when he was eighteen. Back out, and he would be in a youth prison camp waiting to be sent to a mine on some distant asteroid for thirty years. The choice was an obvious one and he did what he was ordered to do. Once again he used the "Wonder Boy." The device was set. This time the shuttle would collide with another one during the war games. Whether it was another shuttle from the "Lexington" or one from another ship would be a matter of dumb luck. Whatever happened, he wouldn't be anywhere near it. His transfer to the ground war games was approved. A cadet doing backup duty would be taking his place as weapons officer on the "Holden Caufield". Who knows, maybe the "Wonder Boy" would use the "Caufield" as its target. Whatever. None of it would affect him. He had done what the officer wanted. If it worked, great. The Lady Lex meant nothing to him. And if it didn't work, well that wasn't his fault. He knew his future was set. He had done what he had been asked to do. ***** The Thursday games didn't lack for intensity. The individual sports had a ferocity often not seen in the team sports as one-on-one play put the spotlight on one cadet. Ben and Douglas along with Trevor and his Birds of Prey watched Brian and the fencing team. While they didn't understand the rules or all of what was going on, it was quite apparent that the Lady Lex team as a whole was doing well, but Brian was doing poorly. He looked hesitant, and his actions, or lack of them, cost his team points. Ben and Douglas sat with Mike and Ryan and took in some wrestling. They even cheered for Stan. Stan was a loner and not well liked, but today he was a part of the Lady Lex, and was cheered for as hard as anyone. Stan, though he didn't care about the Lady Lex, loved to wrestle, and was a force on the mat. He picked up much needed points for the ship. While quite a few of the athletes watched the sports events, not many managed to make their way into the afternoon session of the academic competition. Ben and Douglas managed to make it to the auditorium at the hotel in time to see the Lady Lex humiliate the cadets of the "Port Royal." Scooter led the way, as the Lady Lex boys showed that they had more than just street smarts. By the end of the day, the Lady Lex had made up even more ground. Suddenly cadets, fans, tourists, officers, as well as SFA crewmen, were all remarking that the motley crew of cadets on the "Lexington" were not going to be pushovers. There was a pride and intensity being shown by them since their humiliating first day, that the other ships were unable to match. ***** Spencer Harris watched the image-maker monitors with disgust. Brian McDowell's teammates fought with honor and dignity and pride. Not all of them won, but they went down with glory. Brian on the other hand barely put up a struggle. He couldn't. He was weak. He was slow. He was a cripple. He only managed to block one swipe of the sword from his opponent before his sword was cast from his hand and, in simulation, his head was chopped off, thus losing the match. "You want him to be a bird of prey?" asked Spencer who was not convinced that it should happen. "Yes, he will help our team," said Trevor. "I won't allow it." "Look, he is a great guy. I know he is handicapped, but don't let that..." "His handicap has nothing to do with it. Hell he could have no arms and legs and I wouldn't care as long as he can do what he needs to do. But his problem is that, not only is he scared, he's petrified, and there is no room for that in the Birds of Prey. Once you let fear leak into our group, we might as well pack up and go home." Spencer got up and headed out of the arena leaving Trevor alone. Trevor was pissed because, even though he held the rank of ensign, his young age hindered his authority. But he knew, come hell or high water, he would make Brian McDowell a Bird of Prey. Admiral Natter quietly sipped his morning cup of coffee as he looked at the report his aide had given him. He pressed his intercom button and called his aide, Captain Merrick, into his office. Hawking's Planet filled the view port of his office on his flagship "Victorious". "A very interesting report," Natter said as the tapped the file. "The Kriton fleet appears to be on the move." "They claim it's routine fleet maneuvers." "Their entire fleet is on the move except for the home fleet and the ships assigned to the peace conference. Looks like more than just routine maneuvers to me." "So far it's hard to determine the total number of ships on the move, but it is considerable. Our spy drones did pick up one interesting thing, though I'm not sure what it means." "What is it you see?" Natter asked. "Right here," Merrick pointed out. "Nine ships with no apparent purpose at all. They are not part of the home fleet. In fact, they broke away from the main fleet right about here," he pointed to a page of the file, "and took off in their own direction." "Interesting. Keep me posted on what they do." He glanced back down at the file. "I see Admiral Whitaker has issued a code two alert. He apparently doesn't think it's that serious." "Well, sir, you have to admit, it's quite unlikely the Kritons would try something foolish with the peace talks going on." "Maybe, but with a large number of our ships tied up here and at the peace talks, this would also be an excellent time to make a move against the home defense fleet. With the peace talks going on, the timing of these maneuvers seems somewhat suspicious. Send out a message to the captains of the ships in orbit. We will have a meeting in my suite at the Galaxy Winds Hotel at eighteen hundred hours. That includes JFSA captains, even those who are coaching. They should have time to coach their last game and make it to the hotel. Dinner will be served at the meeting." "Yes, sir." "There's more here than meets the eye, I just don't know what. I want my captains prepared to move on a moment's notice, so I'd better brief them on what we know so far." ***** Admiral Whitaker walked the halls of the State Palace on Griffin. He was attending the peace talks, both to give his input, and to keep tabs on progress. He was also doing what he could to slow down what progress was being made. He found he didn't need to work hard. He and his confederates had managed to place a number of obstacles in the way of true progress. Even the kidnapping of the Ambassador's son was paying dividends, as the Ambassador had set some protocols in motion that he was finding difficult to recall. The Kritons had little sympathy for his position. They would have sacrificed the boy for the welfare of the planet. Whitaker wished General Elihu could have been at the talks, but they both agreed that would not be a good idea. Besides, Elihu would need to be with his fleet when he started the "invasion". Admiral Eddington was in command of the home defense fleet. While Eddington did not know the real plan, Whitaker knew the Admiral would do as he was ordered. Whitaker knew it would be a few more days before his plan was put into place at the peace talks. General Elihu and his fleet would play a big role in that. Things had been a bit touch and go after his meeting with Jake Masters, but now all the pieces seemed to be falling into place. He had even taken care of a small pain in his side by giving his mole on the "Lexington" an assignment. After the havoc created by one of its "poorly trained and out-of-control" shuttles during the war games, the "Lexington" would have a problem being commissioned as a garbage scow. Whitaker had put the fleet on a code two alert. It was light enough to keep the fleet from moving from their current positions, but had enough urgency to give the impression he was concerned about the movements of the Kriton fleet. He knew he was taking a big chance, but the rewards would be worth it. In a couple of months he would be the most powerful man in the history of the Sol Force Alliance. ***** The Friday games got off to a good start for the Lady Lex. The JV basketball team defeated the "Gettysburg" 44-42. The street ball tactics of the JV team balanced out the discipline of the "Gettysburg", with the Lady Lex showing enough fundamentals to get them through the tough spots. The varsity watched the game, then set to work to get a win of their own, learning from what they saw, listening to what their coach told them, and coming through with a 55-49 win. As with baseball, most of the fans in the sell-out crowd were rooting for the Lady Les. Another Lady Lex team had made the elimination round, and it was in the elimination rounds that points could add up quickly. Johnny watched the varsity game with Mike the Donkey and TJ. Even though he had been demoted from his position as cadet CO, Mike and TJ accepted Johnny as defacto CO. It was Johnny who had inspired the Lady Lex cadets to come out of their first day funk and play their way into contention for the championship. And it was Johnny who seemed to show up everywhere, urging cadets to play harder, smarter, and with more intensity. Mike suspected there was more to the firing of Johnny than anybody would admit. He knew how much time and energy Captain Hatcher had put into Johnny, and to him it didn't make sense that Hatcher would demote him so quickly. Johnny had done an amazing job, had made great strides, and even those who didn't like Johnny admitted he had received a raw deal. After the game, Captain Hatcher, who had watched the game from the press box, walked over to Johnny. "The boys are looking good." Johnny eyed him coolly. "Yeah. I knew they were better than they showed that first day. Too bad you weren't a believer." "Oh, I was, Johnny. I was. In fact I am a believer. I even believed you could do what you needed to if a hot enough fire was lit under you." "Whatever. I won't ever become a Marine now with that `fire' on my record." "You never know, Johnny. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it." Hatcher walked away. Johnny eyed him, wondering what he meant by that statement. Basketball was the only team sport on the schedule for the day, with academics and tennis taking up the rest of the schedule. As for the previous days, the Lady Lex, behind the quick answers of Scooter, held its own in academics, but looked almost helpless in tennis. ***** Admiral Natter met with the captains in one of the hotel meeting rooms. His presentation was short. He told them about the movements of the Kriton fleet, about the small flotilla of mystery ships, and about why he raised the alert code to a level above the one Admiral Whitaker and SFA headquarters had set. He also let them know that he expected every captain, including the JFSA captains to be ready to load their ships at a moment's notice and to follow whatever orders were presented, no questions asked. Headquarters might be taking the Kriton fleet movement lightly, but he was not. ***** Matt's nervousness showed. He paced his bedroom; waiting for the knock he knew was coming. He now wished he had never come to Hawking's Planet. He had enjoyed watching his rescuers play baseball, but he had avoided meeting them. Commander Creevey had watched over him, and had sensed his nervousness. She decided to let him watch the games anonymously before introducing him to the Birds of Prey. But now was the time to have them meet, before the war games part of the Olympics had the Birds of Prey heading back out into space for the next four days. A loud knock caused Matt to jump. Oh shit, he thought, they're here. He opened the door. Standing in front of him was Trevor the Hawke, looking handsome, sexy, and confident. Behind him were the Birds of Prey, as well as Brian McDowell and Commander Creevey. They looked at each other unsure of what to do next. Trevor broke the ice by doing what his brother Ben had taught him. If in doubt, give a big hug. He stepped into the room, grabbed Matt and hugged him. "You look a lot better than the last time I saw you," Trevor said with a smile. Matt blushed, and worked to fight back tears as the others crowded into the room. "I knew you were watching us play," Trevor said. "I was wondering when we'd get to meet." So much for sitting clandestinely in the stands, Creevey thought. The plan was for Matt to join the group for dinner. Creevey had reserved a private dining room for them. The dinner proved to be a huge success, and once Matt relaxed he fit right in with the Birds of Prey. He was a wild spirit, just as they were. The boys enjoyed listening to his stories of his captivity. Matt left out nothing, including his relationship with Jake Masters. The Birds told of how they had pulled off the rescue, from their trailing the "Raptor" to their finding Matt stoned on the bed, to their carrying him out of the compound, and to their escape from the planet's surface. Matt's stories of his parties also caught the imagination of the boys. Trev looked at Matt with a bit of envy. Trev decided he wanted to be a party boy like Matt had been. To him, that sounded exactly like something a Bird of Prey should be. Perhaps the best part for Trevor and Matt came after the dinner. The two boys had a quick chat. Trevor then went over to Commander Creevey and asked her a question. She nodded yes and Trevor smiled. "Just remember your bus to the shuttle leaves at oh seven hundred," Creevey reminded him. "I'll have my alarm set," Trevor promised. Trevor and Matt went to Matt's room. It didn't take long for the two boys to get naked. It didn't take much longer for the kisses and caresses to lead to the first of four orgasms for each of the boys. Trevor remembered to set the alarm. He fell asleep with his arms wrapped around Matt, thinking of how Matt promised him they would party and get wasted together the next time they met. Ian had been cool with him sleeping with Matt. Trevor liked Matt, and was happy he got to have sex with him and sleep with him, but he couldn't wait to get back to Ian. Matt was sure he was in love with the boy who had rescued him. He knew it couldn't last, and the thought saddened him. Tomorrow he would be leaving to meet his father on Griffin. He would probably never see Trevor again. And besides, Trevor had a boyfriend of his own. He wrapped his arms around Trevor's naked body, desiring one more orgasm, not wanting to ever let it go, his tears dripping down on Trevor's bare skin. ***** Early Saturday morning the cadets who were participating in the outer space portion of the Olympic war games caught busses to the space port and boarded shuttles which took them to their academy ships. The war games would start at noon and run through Tuesday. The participants were excited and ready for the four day matches. Trevor thought back to the morning. He and Matt had awakened before the alarm. Trevor had made love to Matt like he never had to anybody else, hammering his tight ass, kissing him deeply. For Trevor it had been a great night of sex with a boy he found he liked very much. For Matt it had been much more, and now he would be leaving Hawking's Planet, crazy in love with somebody he wasn't supposed to fall in love with. ***** The Kriton fleet went through the motions of the meaningless maneuvers. General Elihu knew the maneuvers were all for show. He was waiting for the Earth admiral to make the right moves. He needed the excuse of the collapsing talks in order to make his move; the move that would have the Earth home defense fleet leaving Earth, leaving Earth wide open, not to his huge fleet, but to eight important ships and one very important and irreplaceable ship. That little flotilla would pop right into Earth space with nothing to stop it from wiping out the only planet standing in the way of Kriton dominance. To be continued...
