What are you panicking for? I said to myself. Who would want to hurt me? I'm not exactly important. I quickly craned my neck around in search for the handle, I reached out and pulled it -- it seemed he expected this reaction and had locked the doors right as I try to open my door. Okay there's no way out now, I need to fight if I want to get out. So many thoughts zoomed through my head, I had next to none fighting experience, how was I going to fight of this guy, maybe someone from the other taxi will notice we're no longer driving behind them and come back. I span back around and pulled my legs back -- I figured my best option was to kick. He was still sitting in his chair, the same he'd been sitting since I got into the car silently watching me squirm in preparation for defence. Much like how a snake would watch a mouse try and defend itself. He leaned towards me, reaching out his hand. "Get back!" I warned "get away from me!" I stretched out my leg attempting to kick away his outstretched arm, but my foot was met with the cars front windscreen, my leg had went through his hand or his hand had went through my leg either way, I wasn't prepared for that at all. His body rose out of his chair and continued reaching for my face. "Hold still" he said showing no emotion, I tried to bat his away from me and watched as my hands travelled through him as if he was just a holograph or something. I squirmed backwards and felt the cold glass of the window trapping me; my heart was beating so fast I thought it was going to burst. I watched as his hand covered my mouth and looked back into his purple eyes, oxygen seemed to be getting sucked from my lungs, I hopelessly tried to grab onto his arm to push him away but there was nothing to grab onto, this isn't possible, this is a dream, but it feels so real. My eyelids began to grow heavy as I writhed around trying to get oxygen into my lungs, his other hand was now on my shoulder holding me in place, my eyes rolled back and I slipped out of consciousness, hoping I'd wake up in my bed safe and sound -- or even wake up at all. Somehow, I doubt that was going to happen ************************************************************************** "Is he awake yet?" said a voice outside of the room I was in. wait, I'm alive? Aren't I supposed to be at the bottom of a lake and on the 9 o'clock news by now? I avoided opening my eyes just in case someone was near. "Hello? Is he?!" said a feminine voice behind what I assume was a door. "If you carry on shouting like that then there's no doubt he'll be awake" responded a male, his voice showing irritation and the need to tease "he's been sedated, don't think he's going to be going anywhere for a while" I could tell he was smiling by the way his voice sounded. "Why is Max so insistent that we keep him asleep? He's going to have to wake up at some point" the girl scoffed. "No idea, but he's in charge, I advise you to just go along with it Sarah" retorted the male. "Whatever Dylan, but Jordan isn't exactly going to trust us if we carry on the way we're going." Great I now know the names of the people outside whatever room I'm in that's helpful, why would they want my trust? Oh god I thought I've been kidnapped by absolute psychopaths. Slowly, I opened one eye, I was alone in the room, the walls and floor were coated in white paint, I inspected my arms and legs and noticed that all my limbs were chained to the bed which faced the door, which also happened to be white and it was opening. Crap. I snapped my eye shut and laid still -- well, as still as I could, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, a feeling of overwhelming vulnerability coursed within me causing my hand to shake, making the chains lightly hit the metal bars surrounding my bed. I could hear a number of footsteps coming towards me stopping on both sides of the bed. "We shouldn't be in here" said Sarah with worry in her voice. "Relax, he's sedated" Dylan smiled as her hands brushed over my curly hair -- I'm pretty sure if I was straight I'd be aroused right about now. "I'm more worried about Max, you know how serious he is about this whole situation." Said Sarah almost begging Dylan to leave immediately, but it was too late, another pair of footsteps had entered the room. "Get out" said the third person. "I'm sorry Max, I know we shouldn't be in here" said Sarah apologetically. Max didn't waste another word, from the sound of it, Sarah and Chris had left the room and had closed the door behind them. Great, now I'm left with the king of the psychopaths. For the next 20 seconds there was nothing but silence which was eventually interrupted by a sigh from across the room. My heartbeat started to speed up as steps were being taken towards me. "I know you can hear me, and I know you're scared, but this had to happen, and I'm sorry, but this is where it all changes." *************************************************************************** Thanks a lot for reading, I'm not too experienced with writing and I don't have an editor so I'm sorry if things are wrong but I'd be happy to take tips, suggestions and questions - you can email me at joopfic@hotmail.com.
