Magnus Locke, Royal Justicar By Garwin Ipswitch Part Two Justicar Magnus Locke stood on the deck of the Greshaw as the battleship moved slowly into the harbor of Teldis. The city had a population of over twenty million people, and the harbor was packed full of merchant ships and fishing vessels and private boats for the wealthy. The Greshaw was flying the flag of the Royal Navy, so no one bothered them. Prince Drahvin was slow getting up, and hadn't appeared yet. Magnus waited patiently for him as the sailors set to work docking the ship. He was wearing his black leather armor and silver cloak, signifying his station as a Royal Justicar. The ships Captain was barking orders loudly, telling men to see to fresh supplies, he noticed Magnus and came over, "Justicar, will you and the Prince be needing any escort? I can give you a few of my better sailors, good swordsmen, all of them." "That's a wise idea Captain. Make it ten sailors. I'll see that you are paid for their absence." Magnus felt more comfortable knowing that they would have an armed escort going into a populated city. As a Justicar, there wasn't much he couldn't handle, but when it came to the royal family, redundant protection couldn't hurt. Prince Drahvin finally appeared, dressed in simple leather armor, with a cloak. His sword and dagger were strapped on his waist, "Have they sent anyone out to greet us yet?" He asked, joining Magnus. "Nothing so much as a whisper thus far, my Prince." Magnus replied, "We might be forced to introduce ourselves," Magnus pointed at the sailors behind him, "These men will be joining us for the day. Your personal guard." Drahvin frowned, "I thought that was you, Justicar?" "Teldis is a large city. It's best to take precautions," Magnus shrugged. They made their way off the ship, with Magnus and Prince Drahvin in the lead, and their sailor escort trailing behind. Now that they were actually on the dock, a formal looking man came running out to greet them. The Harbormaster was a middle-aged man full of pomp and circumstance. He took his position entirely too seriously, and he was much too easily offended. "I'm sorry, Sirs, but this simply will not do! You cannot just float in here and take any dock you want! You must get clearance from the Harbormaster first!" The man was indignant, staring down his nose at them. "Calm your britches, Harbormaster, this is Prince Drahvin you are speaking to," one of the sailors said, resting his hand on the pommel of his scimitar. Upon realizing that he was speaking to a member of the royal family, the Harbormaster became horrified, "Oh dear! Please excuse my manners! It's been a terribly long day!" "The day has only just begun," Magnus pointed out, taking an immediate dislike toward the man. The Harbormaster glared at Magnus, "And you are?" "Justicar Magnus Locke. We are here to see the Magistrate." The Harbormaster turned white as a sheet, "You are a Justicar? One of them Magic fellows?" Magnus sighed, "I'm a Justicar, yes. Where is the Magistrate of Teldis?" "I'm afraid you cannot see the Magistrate just yet, there are forms to be filled out. Docking procedures and such." Prince Drahvin finally reached the end of his patience. He grabbed the Harbormaster by his shirt and tossed him off the dock, straight into the water, "I believe the Captain of the Greshaw can help you with that. I've had enough of your delay tactics. My Justicar and I will find the Magistrate without your interference. If I so much as see you again while I'm in Teldis, I'm going to have Justicar Magnus turn you into a goat. Am I clear?" The Dockmaster used his hand to clear the water from his face, swimming back toward the dock. When he attempted to get back up, the Prince put his boot on his head, "I asked you a question, Dockmaster." "Clear, my Prince. Clear. Now please let me up." Prince Drahvin removed his boot from the man's head, bent down and pulled him back up onto the dock. "Disappear, quickly." As they were leaving, the Dockmaster called out to them, "The Magistrate will be in the Brothel. He always is!" Prince Drahvin groaned, "That's the perfect place for a member of the royal family to be seen. Damn Brothels." Magnus turned to the sailors, "I trust you lot have been here before? Is there an inn suitable for the Prince?" "Several, if you have the coin," one of them shrugged. "I'm not looking for a palace, but I'm not looking for a festering hole either," Magnus said impatiently. "The Bard's Bonnet has clean beds and good ale, but the food is shit. Consider yourself fairly warned." Magnus nodded, "That will do. Prince Drahvin, go to the Inn and wait there. I can go to the brothel and fetch the Magistrate, bring him to you. Sailors, see to it that our Prince is safe until I return." He handed them a small sack of coins, "For later tonight, after I've returned. I'll guard the Prince this evening. You all can drink, on me. Just make sure you are ready to go by sunrise tomorrow." The Prince and sailors left for the Bards Bonnet Inn while Magnus headed for the Brothel. He realized he had no idea where the Brothel was, cursing himself for not remembering to ask the sailors. As it turned out, Teldis was a rather filthy city. Trash lined the streets, along with feces, rats, cats, and a shudderingly dirty hoard of street urchins. Magnus witnessed them pickpocket several unaware people and suddenly became much more concerned about his own belongings. He used his Power, expanding it around him like a protective bubble. He could feel the intentions of anyone who came inside his bubble. As he moved through town, he sensed nothing but misery and fear from the people around him. They were sickly, thin, poor, diseased, and mindlessly going about their routines as if nothing were wrong. Even the streets, buildings, carts, stalls, and alleyways were in a shoddy state of repair. The sickness of the people had become systemic, spreading to everything around them. Magnus found it hard to pity a people who had allowed their city and homes to fall to such a state. He found a large stables across from a vault and decided to ask about the brothel, rather than wander around searching for it. The stables were actually impressive compared to the surrounding town. They were clean, well-kept and appealing. The stalls were filled with many horses. "I know we don't have a horse in here that belongs to a Royal Justicar," a man said, extending his hand out for Magnus to shake. "I'm Corvus Brock, the StableKeep here. What brings you in today?" He was a friendly man, barrel-chested and used to hard work. Magnus returned his firm handshake, "I'm Justicar Magnus Locke. I'm actually searching for the Teldis Magistrate. I'm told he frequents the Brothel and I'm afraid I don't know where it is. I wonder if you might be able to point me in the right direction?" Corvus laughed, "Yeah, he will be there alright. Spending our tax money on his whores. He has a particular taste I hear. Not for the feint of heart. I'll have one of my stableboys take you, it's clear on the other side of town. Taron's been busting his ass all morning, he could use a break. I'll have him take you. Be right back." Magnus heard a loud bang come from several stalls away, followed by an impatient huff. After a few moments, it happened again. He walked down the line of stalls, finding the responsible horse. As he looked into the stall, he saw an impressive warhorse. The stallion was large, its shoulders were taller than Magnus, who was six and a half feet tall. He was a dark brown color and he almost seemed to show off for Magnus, doing a quick circle in his stall. Magnus reached into the stall, running his hand along the stallions back, a young man came around the corner and stopped dead in his tracks, his jaw hanging open in shock as he saw Magnus. "Get your arm out of there! That horse'll bite the fuck out of you!" he said, running over to Magnus and grabbing him. Once he realized that Magnus was actually touching the horse, he was beside himself, "I'll be damned. You're the first person to touch that horse without gettin bit." Magnus gently pushed the young man back, "You can let me go now, it's alright. The horse isn't consuming my arm." "Oh, yeah. Sorry," he blushed, letting Magnus go. "I'm Taron. Corvus said you needed me to take you to the Brothel?" "Yes, that would be great. Thank you. I'm Justicar Magnus Locke." Magnus thought Taron looked around eighteen years old, with dark black hair and blue eyes that had a touch of grey in them. He seemed strong as an ox and must have spent most of his life doing labor related jobs. They walked out of the stables, into the morning sunlight. Taron stopped suddenly, "Mind if I ask you a question?" "Let's hear it," Magnus said. "Why in the world are you going to a place like the Brothel just to empty your balls? A Justicar like you? You could have anyone you want. Anyone." Taron was embarassed that he'd asked. "I'm not going there to empty my balls. I'm going there on business. Prince Drahvin would like a word with the Magistrate of Teldis. We know he spends a great deal of time at the Brothel. So I'm going there to fetch him," Magnus explained. "But thank you for the compliment." "Oh. I totally misread that," Taron said, becoming even more embarassed than he already was. Magnus laughed at him, "Did you miss the part where I'm the ginger? Your face is more red than my hair." Taron smirked, "I didn't miss a thing about you, Justicar Magnus. Come on, the Brothel is this way." Teldis was a large city, so large in fact, that it took them almost an hour to get to the Brothel. The place was every bit as shady and run down as you might expect, and the patronage was even less appealing. "Thank you Taron, I wouldn't have found this place without your help," he handed him a silver coin. Taron refused it, "Nah, keep it. If you really want to pay me back, come see me again. My room is above the stables, it's the only door on the left. Good hunting, Justicar Magnus." Taron dashed off back the way they had come. Magnus had to adjust his pants slightly, his cock was half hard. Stableboy Taron had managed to excite him. He walked into the Brothel and was repulsed by the smell of the place. How anyone could have sex in a place like that was beyond him. "What'll it be, Sugar? Big man like you, need two? Three?" An attractive woman with black hair and emerald green eyes put her arm around him. Magnus politely refused her, "I'm not here for myself. Business, I'm afraid." "Sugar, it's always business in here. And judging from that bulge in your pants, seems like you're wanting some pleasure with your business." She smiled at him, patting his crotch. Magnus cleared his throat, "Enough! I'm Royal Justicar Magnus Locke. I'm here for the Magistrate." He had expected compliance once he announced himself, but she only laughed. "Honey, you can be whomever you want, as long as you have the coin." She was like a cat in heat, Magnus couldn't keep her off. He forcibly repelled her with his Power, pushing her away from him. She was stunned, looking around, frantically trying to process what had just happened. Evidently she didn't know much about Justicars. Magnus pulled his Kyval from its sheath on his thigh, "I said that's enough. Which room is the Magistrate in?" She was still too stunned to move, so Magnus charged his Kyval with energy and slammed it down on a nearby table. The table incinerated, bursting apart into ashes instantaneously. "Which room?" he asked again. It turned out that her answer wasn't required, his noisy destruction of the table had angered the Magistrate. Naked and erect, the man came storming out of a bedroom on the upper floor and shouted over the balcony, "Who the fuck is making all that ruckus? How is a man supposed to fuck with all that nonsense going on?" The woman pointed up at him "There's your Magistrate." Magnus used his Power to increase his strength and leapt up to the balcony beside the Magistrate. His Kyval flared with bright green energy and he touched it to the Magistrates throat. The man screamed, as if he was being flayed alive. Magnus leaned in close and whispered, "You sit here, like a pig in shit, wallowing with your cock out, while the people of Teldis suffer? What sort of man are you?" Magnus removed his Kyval and elbowed the man in the chest, hard. The Magistrate stumbled backwards, falling on his ass, the breath knocked from his chest. He looked like a fish out of water as he tried to suck in air, but when you are hit hard enough in the chest, it takes several seconds for your lungs to recover from the shock. "Magistrate, your Prince would like a word with you. Come with me," Magnus waved his hand and chains appeared out of thin air, shackling the naked Magistrate. He was lifted off the ground and suspended in mid air. A pair of guards appeared, attempting to defend their Magistrate. The nearest one slashed at Magnus with his sword, forcing Magnus to dodge awkwardly. He created a handful of energy in his fist and smashed it in the guards face. He crumpled to the ground, unconcious, blood coming out his nose. The other guard was suddenly unsure if he wanted to continue attacking, "What the fuck are you?" he asked, fear clearly dominating his mind. He held his sword before him, shaking unsteadily, and his feet were half turned the other direction, as if he wanted to run away. A green ball of energy formed in the air before Magnus, increasing in size until it was nearly the size of the guards head. For a moment it hovered there, "I'm Royal Justicar Magnus Locke," he flung the green orb into the guards chest, hurling him through the wall behind him. He smashed through, going into the room beyond, covered in dust and chunks of wood and plaster. The green energy was still clinging to his chest, the guard looked down horrified, trying to wipe it away. Magnus closed his fist and the green energy started constricting. At first, it simply cut off the guard's ability to breathe, but after another moment, the energy started bending ribs. Magnus kept constricting the energy until he heard a rib break, then he let it go. The guard was suddenly able to take breaths again, sucking in air only to cry out in pain, holding his side where the rib had broken. Magnus walked over to him, looming over him with a flat smile, "Never interfere with the business of a Royal Justicar again." The Magistrate floated behind Magnus as he walked, "Please, at least do me the courtesy of giving me some clothing! This is humiliating!" In response, Magnus turned him upside down in the air, and continued walking. After a few streets, he had amassed quite a curious crowd of townspeople. "Would someone be so kind as to point me in the direction of the Bards Bonnet?" He asked the crowd. "Two streets down, on the right!" Someone shouted. By the time they reached the Bards Bonnet, the crowd had grown considerably. It was now in the hundreds, and still, Magnus hadn't revealed what was happening, until now. "Ladies and gentlemen. This is your Magistrate. That's right. The once dignified position of Magistrate has been reduced to this, by this pigshit of a man. Now, I'm going to leave him here, hanging naked, in the air, while I go and tell our Prince that I found him. The Prince will be wanting a word with him." Magnus stepped inside the Bards Bonnet, leaving the Magistrate with the crowd, suspended naked and upside down in the air. The crowd was ridiculing and taunting and humiliating the Magistrate as if he were in a stockade. The atmosphere inside the Bards Bonnet was pleasant compared to the crowd outside. Liken to its name, there were bards playing in the corner of the inn. A lively tune that had several people dancing, and enjoying themselves. A large bar was the centerpiece of the room, and a burly, bearded man was behind the counter, handing out drinks. Prince Drahvin and the sailors were at a table near the bar, they were sitting with several ladies. Magnus joined them, taking a seat next to one of the sailors. "How's everyone doing?" "Ah! Ladies, this is Magnus Locke, he's a Royal Justicar." Prince Drahvin introduced him, "Magnus, these fine ladies are daughters of the Harbormaster. Care to join me in bed with them?" The Prince gave him a mischevious smirk. "I'll pass, my Prince. I've found another interest to pursue this evening. I've got the Magistrate outside, waiting to speak with you. I found him in a rather compromising position. There wasn't time to fetch him clothing." Magnus admitted. Prince Drahvin laughed, "Ladies, go and wait up in my room, I'll be along in a bit. Magnus, bring the Magistrate in." The Magistrate was right where Magnus had left him, floating in midair. Though it appeared that people had been throwing rotten vegetables at him the whole time he was hanging there. Magnus released him, dropping him roughly on the ground. The Magistrate groaned, rubbing his head as he stood up. "This whole day has been utterly preposterous!" "Come along," Magnus said, releasing the shackels with his Power. The Magistrate refused, "I'm not some dog to be ordered around!" He stamped his foot like a four year old might, right before a tantrum. Magnus slammed his Power into the Magistrates stomach, causing him to double over, nearly vomiting, "Would you prefer that I treat you like a prisoner?" He held up his Kyval, letting it glow with furiously green energy. The Magistrate's eyes went wide with terror and he moved quickly after that, following Magnus right to the Prince. Magnus placed a chair before the Prince and set the naked Magistrate down in it. "Prince Drahvin, this is the Magistrate of Teldis. I found him exactly where we were told he would be." "What do you have to say for yourself?" Prince Drahvin asked. "You aren't even the crown Prince!" the Magistrate spat on the ground, "Unbelievable. Treated like a dog by order of the youngest boy-prince. Insulting." Magnus struck the Magistrate across the face with the round end of his Kyval, knocking out several teeth and spraying blood across two of the sailors, "Choose your words more carefully, Magistrate." He spat blood out on the ground, "So this is how you treat your officials? By fucking us up and knocking out our teeth? Some royal family you..." Magnus cut off his words, jamming his Kyval into his neck. Green energy surged, causing pain in the Magistrate. He went rigid, grinding his teeth, veins started popping out on his neck and his face turned beat red. He was in so much pain that he couldn't even scream. Blood was still pouring out of his mouth. When Magnus finally released the Kyval, the Magistrate gasped, sucking in huge breaths. Prince Drahvin grabbed him by the face, "I don't like torture, so Justicar Magnus is going to just kill you if you don't cooperate. You are a scumbag, unfit for the office of Magistrate." The man's face was beginning to swell, so badly that they weren't sure if he could even talk anymore. Magnus put his palm on his face and healed it, blue energy fixing all the damage. "Good as new," he said patting the man on the cheek. "Now, which vault was robbed?" Prince Drahvin asked. "The largest vault, the one across from Corvus Stables. We still don't know how they did it." the Magistrate said. "I know the vault he is referring to, I went by it earlier while searching for the Brothel." Magnus told the Prince. "Good, let's all go see a vault," Prince Drahvin said, getting up. "We should have the sailors take the Magistrate to the brig aboard the Greshaw," Magnus said. Prince Drahvin agreed and dismissed the sailor escort back to their ship with the Magistrate in chains between them. The vault was referred to by the people of Teldis as the Triple Three. The Triple Three was the largest vault in the southern half of the Kingdom. It was heavily guarded, so how it had been robbed was still a complete mystery. As they entered the vault, they were greeted by a Being that wasn't Human, though it had the general form of a Human. It was a Quicksilver Being, employed as the vault Gaurdian. The Guardian's movements were the definition of grace and fluidity. It had no mouth, eyes, ears, or nose, no definition whatsoever aside from the general human-like form it chose to take. A tall, thin man appeared from a door that vanished as soon as he stepped through it, "Welcome to my vault, gentlemen. I see you've met the Guardian." He paused for a moment, as if listening, then turned to Magnus, "The Guardian wishes for me to convey it's compliments and respect to you, Justicar Magnus Locke. While he probed your mind, he sensed a vast pool of untapped energy within you that he has never seen in a Human before." "Uh...Thanks?" Magnus wasn't sure what to make of that. "I'm Larnis Falth. I run the vault network along with the Guardian. Thank you for coming, both of us would like you to know that we will make our considerable resources available to you both while you investigate these horrendous robberies," Larnis handed Magnus a small wooden box containing four scrolls, "Those scrolls detail our own investigation thus far. We have been exceptionally thorough, mind you, but ultimately, we have nothing." "I'd like Justicar Magnus to take a look at the vault if you don't mind," Prince Drahvin said. "Of course, but I'm afraid I'm busy with a high profile client of the vault network and I must get back to them. The Guardian will escort you to the vault." Larnis bowed to the Prince and left. As soon as they were in sight of the vault, Magnus could feel that there was something wrong, "Can anyone else feel that?" He asked. "I feel nothing," Prince Drahvin said. The Guardian reached out, touching Magnus on the arm. Magnus could suddenly understand the Guardian, hear its thoughts. It was asking permission to enter his mind and feel what he was feeling. Magnus allowed the Guardian to enter his mind, it sensed what he was sensing and suddenly became alarmed. It kept repeating the same thing over and over. "The Guardian is screaming inside my head," Magnus told them, "It's saying, 'Black Magic and Elves,' over and over again." Magnus reached into the vault with his Power. He could feel them, there were Elves in there now! Before Magnus could act, the Guardian opened the vault, shapeshifted into a sphere and threw itself inside with the Elves. When it reached the center of the vault, the Guardian changed shape again, becoming a spiked ball, sending out long, metallic spears in every direction. Every single Elf in the vault was speared to the wall by the Guardian. Some were dead instantly, others were still dying, as Magnus and the Prince stepped into the Vault. "How the fuck did they get in here? There isn't any holes in the vault?" Prince Drahvin said, bewildered. The Guardian shifted back into its human-like form, the Elf blood was still being absorbed by it's quicksilver. Magnus expanded his Power out, encompassing the entire vault. He felt the scar in the air before he saw it. In the far corner of the vault, there was a tiny scar in the air. A portal scar where the Elves had used Black Magic to get in and Magnus could see it now, without his Power. "Here, a portal scar. This is how they got in and out. Here's how our gold has been getting stolen without alerting the Guardian." Magnus explained. Right as he pointed it out, an Elf came through. He was shocked to see them but attacked quickly. His Magic hit the Guardian first, causing him to lose his form and fall to the ground, nothing more than a harmless puddle of liquid silver. Magnus thrust the barbed end of his Kyval into the back of the Elf's skull, red energy flashed briefly in his eyes as he died. Magnus withdrew his Kyval with a wet crunch, wiping it off on the Elf's cloak. The Guardian had resumed it's human-like form and touched his shoulder, sharing its thoughts with him again. It was going to create a copy of itself that was tuned to Magnus. It would obey Magnus's thoughts and commands. It was a gift for helping defeat the Elf Warlock, the Guardian was embarassed that mere Elves had managed to sneak in and fool it. The Guardian suddenly split into two distinct Beings, each exactly the same as the other. One of them stepped aside, leaving the other behind. The one that moved once again reached out and touched Magnus on the shoulder. It explained that the copy was blank, needed to be imprinted. Magnus simply needed to touch the copy in order to imprint it. Magnus touched the copy on the chest, his Power instantly surged into it, sensing it, imprinting it. He had complete control over it, and he could sense that it wanted a name. "Olavon," Magnus said, naming the copy. Olavon saluted him. The Guardian touched Magnus. The Guardian told him that Olavon would be able to take him through the portal scar if he wished to pursue the Elves. Magnus relayed the information to Prince Drahvin. "That's what we came here for. Let's go get our gold." Prince Drahvin said, drawing his sword. Olavon slipped it's hand into the portal scar, ripping it open so that it was large enough for people to fit through. Magnus and the Prince stepped through, leaving the sailors and the Magistrate behind in the vault. On the other side, they found themselves in a massive cave system. There were Elves all around them, shocked at their sudden appearance. Magnus unleashed a blast of Power in all directions, knocking them all backwards. Olavon turned into a literal storm of blades, shapeshifting into dozens of razor sharp swords and whirling around the room, killing every last one of the Elves. "Their Heldani," Prince Drahvin said, examining one of the bodies. "They haven't made a move against us so far. They've been focusing on the Sheersci Elves." Magnus said. "I'd imagine they aren't happy that we've been aiding the Sheersci." Prince Drahvin looked around the cave, "There are several tunnels that intersect with this one. More Elves might be coming even as we speak." As if to prove his point, two more Elves with spears came running into the cave. Magnus discharged bolts of energy at them, killing them. Olavon warned about Black Magic, reminding Magnus that these were only warriors. Black Magic was not to be toyed with or underestimated. When the Warlocks came, it was going to get dangerous. Olavon approached the Prince, his arm forming into a quicksilver bow. The bow separated from Olavon and dropped into Prince Drahvin's hand. Olavon created a quiver of arrows as well. "Olavon says that the arrows will return to the quiver after they have been fired and strike their target. He will need it back once the fighting is done, as it's a part of him." Magnus explained. Prince Drahvin examined the bow, which was remarkable. He slung the quiver over his back and gave the bow an expermental pull, feeling it bend smoothly and gracefully. "Thank you Olavon." Olavon bowed to him and rejoined Magnus. They moved deeper into the tunnels, Olavon told them that he was keeping a map of the tunnels so that they wouldn't get lost. As they explored, they realized just how vast the tunnel system was. They came across chamber after chamber, full of goods, gold, and Elves. "This is an underground city! We are in an underground Heldani city! That's how they've been hiding from the Sheersci for so long. They are under the fucking ground!" Prince Drahvin said. His shouting had unfortunately attracted some Elves. They came hard, drawing weapons and attacking fiercely. Olavon stepped out to meet them, deflecting their blows and countering with strikes of his own. Olavon was faster and stronger and easily overcame them, thrusting blades through each of their chests simultaneously. Suddenly, Olavon froze, unable to move. Magnus could feel the same energy from before, the Black Magic. Olavon was being attacked by Black Magic. Magnus reached out with his Power, trying to find the source of the attack. He sensed them in the tunnel directly below them. It was a Heldani Warlock and several warriors. Magnus blased a hole in the floor and dropped down into the chamber below, pulling his Kyval as he landed. Several arrows were fired at him, but he deflected the arrows with a wall of his Power. He charged his Kyval with lethal energy and slammed it into the ear of an attacking Elf. Red energy flashed through the room as the Elf's head popped, sending arterial matter through the room. He ducked beneath the blade of another Elf and sent him flying into the ceiling with bone-crunching force using his Power. He located the Warlock, who was busy chanting, keeping Olavon frozen, but there were stilll warriors protecting him. Magnus created a large wave of force and sent it toward the warriors. It struck them, hurling them all backwards. The Kyval changed to a deep black color and he lashed out with it, vaporizing the nearest Elf. The Warlock suddenly realized how much peril he was in and stopped chanting. The Warlock raised it's hand and threw a fireball at Magnus, who blocked it with his Power. The Warlock gazed at him curiously, reassessing how much of a threat he was. The Warlock cast more Black Magic, which took the form of acid droplets, thousands of them that he flung at Magnus. Magnus barely got a shield of his Power up in time, several of the droplets managed to get on his arm and he was burned. He felt rage ignite within his chest, it came to the surface, erupting out of him. Red energy surged from his hands, letting him send beams of death energy at the Warlock. The Warlock managed to block several bolts with his Black Magic, but the death energy broke through his Magic. Magnus cut the Warlock's head right off with a beam. Olavon dropped down, landing at the same time as the Warlocks head. Prince Drahvin was close behind him, he had an arrow notched on his bow. "They know we are here." Magnus told them all. "There are more Warlocks on the way. I can feel their Black Magic getting closer. I wont be able to hold them all off." "Can we make it back to the portal scar?" Prince Drahvin asked. "They already have us cut off from there, too many of them." Magnus explained. His Power was sensing all throughout the caves. He could feel the Elves, like ants moving through their tunnels. Olavon turned his arm into a large, quicksilver mirror, roughly seven feet tall and three feet wide. Magnus was shocked at his suggestion. Olavon told him that he could borrow energy to create a portal that would allow them to escape. He simply needed to use his Power to pull the energy from Olavon and create it. Magnus focused his Power on Olavon, he could sense the silvery energy coarsing through the quicksilver like a powerful, rushing river. He grabbed ahold of it, collecting it and pushing it back into the mirror. There was a ripple across the surface of the mirror and suddenly an image of Bildafost came into view. They all stepped through, including Olavon. There was a soft whoosh of air as they appeared in Bildafost, it was slightly past midday and much warmer here than it had been in the Heldani tunnels. People were gawking at Olavon, who was reflecting the sunlight in all directions in a rather mesmerizing way. Magnus had Olavon relay a message to the Guardian in Teldis, letting the sailors know to put the Magistrate in the brig aboard the Greshaw and keep him alive until instructed further. "I need to get to my Father's war room. They need to know the Heldani are underground, it might help the Sheersci Elves in dealing with them." Prince Drahvin left immediately, heading toward the Royal Castle. Magnus and Olavon accompanied him. Unlike in Teldis, here, everyone recognized the Prince and moved out of his way. When they reached the war room, the King's royal guard sounded the alarm about Olavon. They weren't sure what he was and chose to be cautious. "I'm Justicar Magnus Locke, Olavon is with me. He is no threat." Magnus assured them. The King and several of his Generals, along with the Crown Prince were standing around a large table, there was a map spread out and several other men around the room. Two of them smelled ghastly, as if they hadn't bathed in weeks. "Son, Justicar, whatever it is, it will need to wait a few minutes. Two of our scouts just reported in, they were about to give us their intel. Keep quiet and you can stay." The King said. The scout stepped forward, "We came from the eastern border, both Jorsy and myself, we've been out there for three months. Standard scouting assignment. Everything was going according to routine, until it wasn't. Jorsy and I, we stumbled upon an enemy encampment the size of which I've never seen in all my life." Jorsy nodded his agreement, "It's true. I'm good with numbers, my King. I'd put that camp in the millions. Easily in the millions. Heldani Warriors, every last one of them." "I'm not sure I heard you properly. You mean to tell me that I have a Heldani army numbering in the millions on my eastern border?" the King said, incredulous. "That's exactly what we mean, your Grace." the first scout said. "We tried to get to Fort Logth, but it was utterly destroyed. Reduced to rubble." There was silence in the room. "Whatever you have to say couldn't be any fucking worse than that, so lets hear it, Son." the King finally said. Prince Drahvin stood, "The Heldani are responsible for the vault robbery in Teldis, and most likely all the robberies across Helgavant. We followed them through their portal scar and found ourselves in an underground city. Their Warlocks drove us out, but we saw enough to know that they are incredibly organized underground." "And the silver creature?" The King pointed at Olavon. "He was a gift from the Guardian of the vault network, my King. He was tuned to me and responds to my every thought and command. His name is Olavon." Magnus explained. "And what is your name, Justicar? I don't think I've ever seen you before." The King said. "Magnus Locke, your Grace." "Locke?" The King raised his eyebrow, "Your Father was a rebel traitor." "He started a rebellion, my King. And your Justicars executed him for it." Magnus agreed. "And now you stand before me, as one of my Justicars. How proper is that? Congratulations on the Guardians gift, Justicar. Report back to your Chief. You will have new orders now that we know the Heldani have taken direct measures against us." Magnus turned to Prince Drahvin, "It was an honor to work with you, Prince Drahvin. Perhaps we will see each other again in the future," he bowed. "You are an honorable Justicar, Magnus Locke. I'll see that you are remembered for that." Prince Drahvin handed Olavon back his bow and quiver, which reabsorbed into him. Drahvin hugged Magnus, saying goodbye. Magnus spent the next two hours filling out a report about what had transpired since he had left with the Prince. He sat patiently in the Chief Justicar's office as the Chief read over his report. Olavon was sitting in the chair beside him, completely unmoving and silent, in an almost creepy way. When the Chief finished reading the report, he swallowed hard, taking a deep drink of water, "That's one hell of a story, Justicar." "Yes, Chief." "Word came down maybe two minutes before you came in. Straight from the Kings mouth, we are going to war. The bulk of the army is heading east, we will be meeting up with a large Sheersci army and engaging the Heldani together. The King has decided to split the Justicars into two forces. Half will accompany the army and the other half will remain here with you, under your command. The King wants you to go back to the Heldani city you found and attack it with a force of Justicars." "A handful of Justicars down there could cause significant destruction," Magnus said, considering it. "It's underground, so the King wants you to collapse it, the whole tunnel network. Kill them all. Several Justicars combining their Power and working together could easily accomplish that." The Chief pointed out. "What of our gold?" Magnus asked, remembering that some of the caves they had seen were filled with gold. "Recover as much as you can, but the primary mission is to collapse their city. Get some rest, you will be planning the attack with Justicar Lialla in the morning." Magnus left, but had no intention of getting any rest yet. He went to his room with Olavon, who formed his mirror again. Magnus took them back to Teldis, just outside the stables. He had Olavon wait outside while he went in to find Taron. He remembered Taron told him his room was above the stables, only door on the left. He found the stairs easily enough and went up, he only saw one stableboy who was busy tending to a pregnant mare that seemed in distress. He found the proper door and knocked lightly. He heard rustling inside, "One moment!" came a muffled reply. The door opened and Taron stood, shirtless, black hair a mess. His eyes lit up as soon as he recognized Magnus. "Justicar Magnus! I didn't think you were going to come." Magnus didn't wanna talk, he pushed Taron inside, kicking the door shut and kissing him. Taron returned the kiss after only a moments hesitation. They both quickly got naked and fell into Taron's bed, where they continued kissing. Magnus rolled Taron on his side, kissing the back of his neck as he teased his ass with his cock. Taron rubbed oil on Magnus's cock to help it slide in easier. Magnus held him down firmly as he penetrated him, pushing in slowly. Taron groaned as Magnus stretched him, going deep and hard. Magnus's cheeks flushed as he fucked Taron, pulling his cock out all the way, and then shoving it back in. Magnus mounted Taron from behind and fucked him, slamming into him balls deep, holding him down by his back. He growled, increasing his speed, humping the stableboy into submission. He laid on top of Taron letting all his weight down on him. He changed from fast humping to slow, long thrusts, kissing Taron on the neck and biting his earlobe. "Oh fuck! Just like that, Magnus, just like that," Taron cried out as Magnus developed a steady rhythym, rocking his hips back and forth slowly. Magnus growled again, using his Power to boost his strength, he lifted Taron off the bed, fucking him while standing up. He grabbed Taron's ass with both hands and helped it bounce up and down on his cock. Taron had his arms wrapped around Magnus, holding him close. After a few minutes, Magnus lowered Taron back to the bed, "I'm getting close, he said, thrusting inside Taron as deep as he could go. Taron moaned, arching his back and stroking himself. Magnus settled into a decent pace and chased his orgasm into Taron's ass. Magnus was the first to go, grabbing Taron's hips and slamming into him with each squirt of his seed. He groaned and kissed him as his balls emptied themselves inside Taron. A few seconds later, Taron made himself spill his seed, squirting across his stomach and chest in thick lines. Magnus laid down beside Taron, who cuddled up to him close, playing with his ginger chest hair. Magnus kissed him on the forehead, wrapping his arm around him. "How was that?" he asked, winking at Taron. Taron thought for a moment, smirking, "I think I know how a mare feels after a stallion has had his way with her." They shared a laugh and fell asleep together, Magnus knew that Olavon would wake him when it was time to be back in Bildafost. Despite the impending battles, Magnus slept soundly, cuddled with the stableboy. Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed. Part 3 coming soon. Feedback appreciated. ipswitchstories@yahoo.com
