Note from the author... (THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION!!!!) It is a dark fantasy from my mind. Treat it as such. Please forgive my use of artistic license to tell a story. I was enamored with the many werewolf legends from so many different cultures. Many were far more frightening than the European tales I grew up on.

Warnings: There is non-consensual sex in this story. There is graphic violence in the story. Two elements that are part of my old life. While werewolves and shifters only exist in the world of cryptozoology, I am all too aware that monsters are real. I add this warning to prevent against triggering a reader who (like me) has crossed the path of REAL world monsters.

[Special note: Sorry for the delay with this chapter... I had a cutlery related incident caused by stress. I am better now, and returning to my writing.]

Night Of The Wolf

Chapter 05... Homecoming

Chase Nadir

...Jed would leave this world singing his death-song. He would return his final breath to the breathmaker. If today was the day he joined his family in the City in the West they would hear him coming, and they would be proud.

Jedidiah began softly chanting as his life's blood continued to flow. It took every bit of his concentration but he shelled preventing his mother from performing the healing. As his vision dimmed, he was at peace, ready for the final journey.

The Lycans present could hear the boy's heartbeats slow. They knew the end was near.

The attention of the crowd shifted. Their new focus was on the trembling Hachi and her eyes. The sclera, iris and even the pupils developed a green glow. The Elemental was making its presence known. Jedidiah was at peace ready for the journey but Leilani was of a different mind.

Her sweet voice filled Jedidiah's head, "Do not worry or be concerned in any way my little one. This will harm neither your mother nor sister. Receive my gift little one."

Hundreds of green fingers came out of the walls and up from the foundation slab. The fingers lifted Jedidiah into the air and enveloped him in a glowing green cocoon of light. The shell that kept his mother away was no match for the power of the elemental. Her energy filaments softly touched the boy's body. In that moment he shared both his mother's and Leilani's existence and they lived his.

The elemental continued to speak in a voice only heard by Jedidiah, "You would have been an excellent host... My spirit leaps that there will be two of you soon, to carry on both family and gen. I will continue to watch over you little one. I feel and share the love my previous hosts have for you.

Your mother has nothing to fear with your immanent change. You are nothing like your predecessor who shared this change and my existence. He was always consumed by rage, you are not. I bestow upon you this gift, a portion of my energy to carry you through your transformation. I also give you MY knowledge of the lycan community and rules to aid your transition. It will open like a flower in your mind as you need it."

Then the cocoon was then absorbed into his body. As he returned to his rest on Arian's lap, his bite wounds closed, then every scar and blemish on his body faded from sight. Even his battered gaping hole was restored. The only mark that remained was a faint remnant of the mating bite. The elemental knew that mark must remain to prove the boy belong to another.

Leilani turned its attention to Arian. It drew the boy's wolf to the surface, "You must give your mate a chance to recover fully. After his change you may resume physical contact." The Elemental allowed the wolf form to submerge and Arian's human form was restored, "I know this was an accident. That said, DON'T anger me... control YOUR beast." The Elemental withdrew back inside Hachi and she collapsed into Buck's arms.

For a brief moment Jed's mouth and nose elongated into an almost canine form, then retracted. Arian spoke, "DAD! Did you see that?"

"Yes, I did Son. Carolyn, call the enforcer. Have him notify the pack at the rise of the next full moon we will have a new pack member born into us... AN ALPHA, a true mate for my son! We will assemble at our circle in the forest to witness his re-birth."

When Jedidiah's eyes opened Arian asked, "Are you okay? How do you feel?"

"Weak, grateful, sleepy, more than a little sore and I am so very hungry." The group chuckled. "I'm also a little pissed with you, you bit me! You REALLY bit me you asshole!" Then he weakly slapped Arian's chest. The two families erupted in laughter and hugs.

Dutch softly rubbed the boy's chest. "Hunger is normal... and a great sign. Ladies he's going to need a lot of food rich in iron and fats. Son care for your mate..." His thought was interrupted by the door chime. "I'll let the pack doctor in, Jed you need a checkup." He pulled his son's phone from the charge pad. "Excuse me boys, I have to piss off the council." He left the room chuckling.

When the doctor arrived he pumped four units of whole blood into the still pale boy. Arian refused to leave his side. There was a non-stop-torrent of apologies coming from his lips until Jedidiah held his face, "I love you, I always have. This is part of who you are. I'm fine now and I'll be better. Isn't that right doc?"

"Just so Jedidiah, just so. Still I was coming over anyway. I needed to talk to you about some of your test results. I knew there was something odd about the way you were changing. You've no doubt noticed we've had unusual visitors to our pack."

The coach entered the bedroom as Jedidiah replied, "Would that be the 'asshole' from the World Council." Arian chuckled at Jed's blunt reply.

Doc shot the Pack Enforcer a withering glance, "The proper term of address is Council Emissary Drugan O'Connor." Doc turned back to Jed. "Lack of decorum aside, he facilitated certain genetic testing. Jed how well do you understand your bloodline?"

"I know according to tribal folklore, there was a monster born out of a warrior's pain and rage in our family. Now I understand, he was a lycan. That was many generations ago in mother's family, but he never had children. For the good of our people he was killed by his father. One was killed to save many. I still don't know why Leilani didn't protect him. After all, he was her host."

Doc stopped the boy, "I can't speak to why your predecessor wasn't protected. Elementals are capricious creatures, Luna only knows what motivates them. Still, I don't think that is the relative in question.

Jedidiah this relative would have been within the last two or three generations at most. I believe it would be from your father's line. You and your father share certain genetic markers.

In your father's case these markers were recessive. You on the other hand... I don't know how to say this any other way, I think you were always on this journey. Jed, you were born a lycan."

Stunned an emotional Jedidiah softly responded, "NO... That can't be true. You are wrong doc." Though stunned Arian pulled his mate closer.

"Jed there is no denying the science. You are what you are... what you have always been. I have more news for you I'm not sure how you will receive it. I believe your grandfather knew of your eminent change. I think he was not putting you on hormone suppressants to just make you softer and more compliant. I believe he had wanted to stop the change. No puberty no hormonal shift. No hormonal shift, no lycan shift."

Buck and Hachi looked upon their son. Jedidiah suddenly understood his grandfather's final rant. He remembered the words clearly, "You little idiot! I had a way out for you. You have absolutely no idea what you're playing with..." A wave of guilt crashed over the boy. He realized perhaps in the man's own twisted way Quade was trying to protect the boy... Jed's mother was crying with her son, more was shared during Leilani's link, and it was not one way.

Jedidiah went dead quiet. He couldn't hear anymore. He took control the only way he knew how... he shut down. He didn't want to feel anymore. The doctor led Arian from the room as Hachi held her boy close. "I know my son, I know. We will recover my sweet little one. Buck please leave us. Our son and I need to have a private discussion."

Buck was realizing his family was walking between three worlds and he had no clue how to help them cope with how two of them intersect his "normal" one. The one thing he knew, medicine was a science. He practically ran to catch up with the doctor and the rest. He only hoped his wife could reach their son.

Hachi spoke as she stroked his hair, "Jedidiah it is okay to be sad but do not shut us out of your existence. Things do not go well when you put a barrier between the people who love you and yourself. We must learn from our mistakes. You did not kill your grandfather. His own pride, greed and avarice killed him."

"I'm sorry mother... I'm not trying to shut anyone out. I just need..." Jed couldn't say the correct word.

"As with all things my son you need time. You are young, and as such you have plenty of time. I beg you not to shut us out. Take the time you need. But see that you are wrapped with love. I shared your existence, I know the connection you have with this boy. After feeling the pleasure he has given you, I see I may have to concede to some of your father's more intimate request."

"Eeew, mom really? Definitely not an image I wanted my head right now. Haven't I been traumatized enough?" The two shared a chuckle as Jed continue to cry in her lap. She knew he just needed time to process the new knowledge. Her son would be okay in time.

Recognizing Jed's hearing had improved the doctor led Arian and the pack alpha to the front entrance as Buck finally caught up. "The boy is experiencing depression right now. In addition to a hormonal shift coming from the violent mating. This is on top of his other traumas.

Arian you must stay close to your mate. I think he will recover but with the trauma and depression he has endured, coupled with this new news, it's something I've never experienced in my practice.

In either event the treatment is the same as aftercare for masochists following a stressful act. Be with him, hold him, softly caress his skin a lot. Keep him hydrated and try to keep him happy. Keep the mood light and loving Arian. Simply put, your mate just took a few very hard hits and needs you to step up. You chose to mate young boy, this is the result. Now you have to do the work to help your mate adjust.

If you need me you got me on speed dial, I'll be here within minutes. Let the rest of the watchers know he'll be in this state anywhere from hours to weeks. Arian do you think he would harm himself?"

The QB stud immediately remembered the image of the straight razor and lied, "N-no never sir! But I won't leave him alone." Dutch knew immediately his son was lying and let it pass.

Jedidiah spent the rest of the day in a semi-melancholy state curled in a fetal position with Arian spooning behind him. He was desperate to assimilate the new facts. The couple's cuddle was only broken for feeding.

Though Jed wanted to shut down, his body demanded fuel. His growing inner wolf was clearly a pushy bitch. The three mothers worked for hours feeding Jed's hunger. The hunger that was feeding the incredibly rapid metabolic rate. It was the fuel changing his body.

Over the course of hours the color returned to his cheeks and feeling returned to his limbs. The effects of vasoconstriction diminished. The entire time his mate never left his side. His body temperature spiked, proof of the inner changes. The boy was perspiring as if he was in a sauna, but the sauna was contained within his body.

Monday morning the boys went back to school. Jed knew the pack was watching him closely. Hard as he tried, he just couldn't shake off the fatigue, confusion and sadness. He was second guessing everything. Even his Wiley persona lost a step.

In the evenings he and Mrs March often had discussions. Hachi took her son to meet a rape support group on the rez. Arian and a few hunters in tow of course. He new he couldn't share the whole story, but the truth was that rape is the same regardless of species. It was about security and power being taken from the victim.

By Wednesday the Orange Plant was back into residential mode. The sectional floor was disassembled and stacked in one of the storage rooms. Jed wanted his garage back. The change would be temporary, the prom committee already approached Jedidiah to use The Orange Plant for the prom in Spring.

Mr. Ferguson's Hall was sold and demolition had already begun. This left no venue large enough to hold the event, aside from the high school gymnasium. That was definitely not good enough for the formal senior prom. Of course Jedidiah said yes.

After a few more days Jed's parents moved back to the farm, realizing the boy was probably safer surrounded by the pack security. This made the cleanup and redesign of The Vault significantly faster and less embarrassing for Jed as well. The sheriff took his family home too, knowing that Trooper March and the detail were staying at The Plant with Jedidiah and his son.

Dutch's friend from Yeehaw Junction brought down an industrial shredder. As the device destroyed the dungeon furniture and all of the furniture from Papa Quade's room. Jed watched in near glee as each piece was turned into so many wood chips and metal shards. Bubba even let Jedidiah feed the last x-brace into the machine. With the destruction of each item Arian witnessed Jed's mood improve. It was as if he was re-asserting his power over his past.

Then Bubba and his team sand blasted and sprayed cleaning agents over every square inch of The Vault. Sanitizing it to almost hospital like conditions. The smell of stale sex however persisted. The big man promised to keep going. "You have my word Jedidiah, when I'm done no human or lycan will ever smell what had occurred in these rooms."

As the contractor's investigation of the persistent odors continued, it was discovered that the center of the cobblestone floors had a secret laying beneath them. The stones and the sand were excavated only to find there was already an odd swimming pool (of sorts) in place. Bubba speculated the end wall may have collapsed and the pool was just filled in. Once the sand under the old stone floor was removed the smell of spent bodily fluids finally faded. But the mystery of the hidden pool persisted.

Jed's father was finally brought in. He laughed and explained, "I heard rumor about this. It isn't a pool, it was a hidden dock. A three slip dock in fact. That thing goes back to the days of prohibition son. The river came a little higher back then. Your great-great-grandfather fancied himself a bootlegger. This was how they received and delivered the illegal product down to the river and out to the Gulf."

Jed could imagine his great-great-grandfather, sneaking in boatloads of contraband liquor under the noses of the "evil revenuers," hiding the shipments under the cover of a dark new moon in his hidden docks. Suddenly the financial success of his family started to make a little more sense.

"Dad don't take this the wrong way... Did any member of our family actually obey the law before us?" The big man and Dutch just laughed adding our family had always played in the gray areas. Bubba said he could build a containment wall and have a relined salt water t-shaped pool installed in time for the moonrise.

After finding out the new purpose of the room, Jedidiah's father took measurements and made a couple of low bridges to cross the pool at key places. After all the tunnels new purpose was not just for entertainment, they were for sneaking the pack into the woods unobserved. The pathways would run straight through, over the wings of the pool.

Learning the history of the structure, Jedidiah had a desire to recreate the look of the dock that was originally there. He wanted to pay homage to the original purpose of The Vault. Furniture was built out of old whiskey barrels and liquor crates to complete the look. Quade's office was turned into a bar. The shower and changing rooms got a facelift as well.

Additionally knowing his family's aversion to following the laws, Jed did something unexpected... he filed permits and made everything legal again. One item was left off the plans at Dutch's request, the hidden river access doors.

Replacing Papa Quade's suite of rooms was a must. The first floor of bay eight was redesigned and new furnishings arrived for the redesigned suites, hall and new security office. Jedidiah took special delight in taking a turn on the jackhammer to tear apart the old cash room and steel chamber. Those hidden rooms then became the new hallway leading back to The Vault, now rechristened The Grotto.

During the transformation at The Plant, at night there was comic relief provided by the March children. Being an only child it was interesting having two instant little brothers. Charlie was a riot, He spent most of his time after school on the first floor running around in his wolf form. It was almost like Jed had a puppy. On occasion Jed forgot and treated him almost like a pet.

Jason was cleaning things constantly, the boy had an OCD streak a mile wide. Jed made sure to constantly give him praise and feedback. Several times he had to tell the boy to sit down and just relax. Jason looked at Jedidiah as if he had two heads.

As soon as they were completed, Jed asked the March's to use the new suite of rooms as their own and send their RV out to be repaired. It was the least he could do not knowing how long the March family would have to look over him.

The experience of time passing was suddenly different for Jedidiah. As a whole, the weeks passed quickly without incident... but in the moment, time drug by slowly and painfully. Arian refused to touch his mate sexually, for fear of losing control. Simply put Leilani scared the hell out of him. There was a lot of touching and holding, that was enough to get by.

There were a few scares as well. On three more occasions Jed could feel someone was watching him. Each time the hunters arrived moments too late. This predator was very skilled. Jed also felt the eyes of the Council upon him. Jed's study hall time became two on one training with Arian and Mr. Mancuso on pack etiquette and history.

The doctor also had the boy fitted for colored contact lenses that matched his natural eye color. "These will help as you approach the full moon. Your eyes may shift from blue to amber. That would be noticeable, even to a mundane. In time you will be able to control it. If this was an all lycan community it wouldn't be an issue. Here in Glynis Landing we have mundanes to placate. If the change is in their face, they'll notice."

Jed replied, "Do you mean lycans can adjust their appearance?"

"To appoint Jedidiah. We can make ourselves look older, so we can live with the mundanes a little longer with the appearance of aging. We can also reset to a younger appearance when we move to a new location. It makes it easier for us to appear as our offspring if we cross paths with someone from our past down the road. Mundanes have a unique ability to overlook the obvious when it doesn't meet their perception of the 'norm.'

I must regrettably add, with the hormonal changes that your body has been deprived... I think you're probably going to look very young for quite a while buddy, possibly decades." It took a half an hour in Arian's arms for the boy to calm down from that news.

Jedidiah worked with Dutch and a criminal forensic accountant on the Family's books. They discovered the impact on Quaid's fortune was not as severe as he let on. Quade was also helping a third party purchase struggling businesses and vacant or undeveloped properties. This third-party now owned (or held the mortgages on) about ten percent of Glynis Landing. It turned out had Jed not made a few of the purchases he did this year, that number would have been closer to forty percent by now.

After three weeks of hard and costly work, Bubba announced everything was done and inspections were passed. He took Jed and Arian on a walk thru to examine the final product of several weeks labor and expense. The sky mural on the ceiling, new lighting and whitewashed walls made The Grotto look like an old canal scene. The lighting could be adjusted to mimic any day or night light condition.

Arian saw a strange look on the grinning face of his mate as he wiped away tears of joy. Jed saw the concern, "I don't feel him Arian... I don't feel Quade here anymore. This is my... no... this is OUR home now."

Bubba said that was the best complement he had ever received as he hugged the boys then departed. The boys layed upon one of the new 'old looking' liquor crate-like couches for a kiss and cuddle.

For Jed those weeks were not all good. As more time past he began feeling very anxious. The closer the full moon came, the more nervous he felt. Several times he was so stressed he had to be pulled from the classroom, one of those times he unintentionally broke a desk during a muscle spasm.

There were sensory changes as well. Smells, tastes, light and sounds became almost torture, even with the earplugs. It was as if he stepped in a nest of fire ants and they were stinging him all over his body. He could feel his inner wolf scratching... no clawing at the surface dying to get out.

Two days before full moon's rise Hachi and Buck had dinner at the plant with the sheriff's family and the March's. Dutch spoke, "Buck I know you and your wife want to be there for this important event. That would be a bad idea. Lycans are very territorial.

In our native form we are driven for the hunt. If you two were to become spooked and start running you would be dropped by some of the younger members of the pack. Possibly even by Jedidiah. Guys, I know you love your son and you want to be there for him. This is how it must be until he learns to control his wolf. We need to help him through this."

The two acknowledged the wisdom of the restrictions and promised to remain at The Plant as the pack went into the woods to shift and hunt. They even offered to babysit the children of the pack who had not yet shifted.

The big surprise later at supper was when Jason had what appeared to be a full on anxiety attack and collapsed. The weak and shaking boy clung to Jed, refusing to let go.

The doctor was summoned and announced that Jason had imprinted upon Jedidiah. "The boy doesn't recognize Jed as a mate. No I think it's more like he sees him as an older sibling. It looks like Jed's eminent shift pheromonicly triggered Jason's delayed one. It seams the two are going to share their second birthday."

The day of the big event Jedidiah was nervous. He was pacing around The Plant like a caged animal. Sleep would not come. His body felt like it was on fire. Although swimming laps would no doubt relieve the tension and burn off some of the excess energy, Jedediah couldn't handle the sensation of the water rushing across his skin.

Dutch explained that was due to the metabolic changes that Jed's body was undergoing. His body had been storing vital nutrients and minerals needed for the shift. "It's normal little pup, you'll get used to it. This is just a time of adjustment to the new normal for you."

Jason appeared to be faring better but was also excited and filled with energy. He was like a kid who had too much Halloween candy. The doctor sent a note to school excusing the three boys from class. There was no way on Earth Arian was going to leave Jed's side. To the mundanes the three boys were simply sharing a virus, which was not unbelievable.

The boys and some of the pack hunters actually went running out into the woods to the ceremonial grounds. The group walked across the grounds. Arian then explained to the two boys what to expect. "Ain't going to lie the first time it hurts like a bitch. The first time's always the toughest." The hunters nodded in agreement.

The purpose of the run wasn't so much for education as it was to tire the boys out so they could nap before the ceremony. It worked, between all of the changes in their metabolic rate and the extra exercise the boys were wiped.

Both Jed and Jason cuddled on the sofa, falling into a deep sleep. They slept through dinner and woke up just in time for evening supper. The pack began to gather. Each member in the pack took special pride in greeting both Jedidiah and to a lesser degree Jason. Witnessing a first shift was something to be celebrated. It really was a rebirth of sorts.

Food was laid out on the banquet tables. Jedidiah was not hungry. He was just so hyper and stressed. It was Carolyn who held him still and said, "You must eat something, it will help." Jed knew that the Alpha's mate was the acting mother of the pack. They looked after the welfare of the younger pups. He also knew in time it would be his place to perform this pack function. He finally relented eating a few pieces of chicken.

Hachi took Jedidiah to his suite and the two prayed for safety as they applied the families ceremonial crimson, yellow, black, and white pigments to Jed's face and body. Knowing normal clothing would most likely not survive the shift he chose to dress in the ceremonial beaded breechcloth his mother made. While he realized he was entering the lycan culture, he refused to give up his faith or the traditions of his people.

The two descended the stairs rejoining the pack. One by one the hunters and pack members nodded approval. While he doubted he would paint his face each time there was a full moon, this was a new experience. He was celebrating a new phase of his life. He also doubted the paint would survive the shift but it was worth a try.

It was time... The pack walked through The Grotto and to the bridge into a forest preserve. From there they walked to the pack's sacred circle. A fire was lit and the pack slowly removed robes and clothing. Jedidiah's embarrassment got the best of him and he remained semi dressed.

As the full moon cleared the top of the pines, Jedidiah's body dropped to the ground he twitched and spasmed. Horrifying grunts and growls became shrieks as they emerged from his throat. As his bones snapped he gave out an agonizing, horrified mix of a growl and a scream. Frightened birds shrieked and flew off into the night. Even the forest's normal predators ran off.

His skin bulged and stretched as his body changed, his muscles popped and twitched as they grew. His bones rearranged themselves over and over as they continuously broke and mended themselves back together. He suddenly jerked up, head thrown back and all could see his eyes change from their pale blue, to a light amber.

Arian spoke words of calm to his mate, "Relax babe, just let it happen. It'll be easier and far less painful, if you just let it happen."

Their eyes locked in awe and wonder as the new lycan shape took form. Arian saw Jed's eyes were full of fear and pain. Arian continued to speak words of comfort to his mate. The pain was too great for Jedidiah to hear them.

His head snapped back down and he was hacking. Blood and human teeth splattered across the ground under him, they were pushed out in preparation for his new predatory sharp teeth.

His spine snapped and popped and the cry he let out was the loudest yet as his coccyx extended into a full tail. Never during the years of torture at the hands of his grandfather or his grandfather's "friends" had he experienced such pain.

His breathing turned ragged as his ribcage cracked and mended itself, shifting ever so slightly. He growled as his fingers too snapped, bent, twisted then mended and grew longer. His skin started to turn an eerie pale gray.

His fingers were about three inches longer and each had two inch claws attached to them. The gathered pack realized with the gasp Jed was shifting into an alpha form hybrid wolf. Fur grew on his hands and spread down to his fingers. In one final growth spurt the breechcloth fell away from his body as pure white fur with silver highlights sprouted.

Jedidiah sat back on his knees, staring up at the sky. His face had stretched out, growing into half a muzzle looking like it was pulling his skin apart. Gasping and with great difficulty, he openned his mouth. His mouth was now full of pointed fangs.

His ears twisted and grew, seeming to move up to the top of his head. A loud and deep roar echoed through the forest, Jedidiah suddenly realized he was the source. Then, there was a loud growl, followed by a long howl that echoed everywhere. The new lycan was born to the pack.

Arian shifted to hybrid form. "I know you are tired love but you must continue. Shift to your pure wolf form. You must or father must drive you down." Jedidiah saw in his lover's mind what must happen and why. To remain in hybrid form would be considered a challenge to the pack alpha's rule.

Exhausted Jed collapsed to the ground in a fetal position. Slowly the shift to a white arctic wolf was complete. Arian's shift was faster, his silver and grey fur was a stark contrast to Jed's thick platinum white coat. He covered his mate grooming every inch of Jedidiah. Jed looked over and saw Jason had shifted into a very lean sable colored wolf.

Slowly the pack shifted and made their way to Jedidiah each taking in the unique scent of the mate to their future alpha. Dutch and his mate were the first to greet the new wolf. Jedidiah noticed how the pack was all but ignoring the zed wolf Jason. It hurt but he stood on his new canine legs and wandered over to the younger boy and took in his scent.

Arian was by Jed's side and gave a cursory sniff at the weaker zed. If Jedidiah protected the boy, he was obligated to protect the zed as well.

With the pack now shifted the old and weaker members led the pack into the forest to hunt. This was done to make sure the pack did not lose those members during the hunt. The young hunters were behind the weaker group to protect them. The middle section were the healthy members of the pack. They were followed by the older strong hunters. Dutch, the pack alpha took up the rear, watching over his pack and guiding their movements.

Jed quickly learned how his pack hunted together. Three deer and a black bear were dropped and the pack feasted. Even Jason was able to make his first kill... a rabbit. For him it was a feast. Jason stayed close to Jed or his family, until Arian led Jed into the woods for some private puppy play.

Jed ran and Arian pursuded. Leaping over fallen trees and around brush. Arian caught Jed quickly and mounted his mates back. He began thrusting blindly, missing the hole beneath Jed's new tail a few times before he found it. Jed's wolf cried out as he felt the pointy tip of Arian's wolf cock force itself inside him. Arian bit the back of Jed's neck, carefully holding him fast. Arian began to thrust, making Jed moan and try to move away. Arian pulled him closer, and Jed gave up, struggling to keep his legs from giving out under him.

After a few more thrusts, Arian finally moved his legs closer and thrust hard, forcing his knot into the new wolf. Jed's vision went white as the sharp pain extended from his ass and up his spine, mixing with the soreness of his legs. He let out a loud whimper as he felt his cock grow hard and his ballsack get tight. In an instant, the knot hit his prostate and turned the overwhelming pain into waves of pure pleasure.

Yelping loudly in lycan tongue, "Oh Arian, Fuck my hole hard!" He screamed again and again as the wolf pulled out as far as the knot would allow and shoved it back into it's mate, then slumped down as he began to drive hard.

Jed slipped to the ground under the weight of his mate, rocking his hips back and forth so the knot would keep hitting his prostate and he could grind his own cock into the soft grass. He could feel himself getting close.

Arian growled at him, putting a bit of pressure into his bite. Jed stopped moving.

"Please may I cum?" Jed whined, the wolf growled. Jed stopped rubbing his cock against the ground. He stiffened when he felt the knot expand further inside him, he began to whimper and squirm as he felt his ass stretch to accommodate the knot. A second later, Arian began pumping him full of cum.

Jed moved his hips a bit, and Arian growled, reminding him that he wasn't allowed to cum. Jed tried to relax as Arian thrust a few times, hitting the new wolf's prostate and getting deeper inside him.

Jed felt the gray wolf finish cumming, he could feel the cum inside him, filling him up and swelling his guts. Arian threw his head back releasing a powerful howl.

"Owww!" Jed simply whimpered when the wolf pulled the deflating knot out and felt so empty, falling to the ground. Lycan Arian still wasn't done. His muzzle sniffed Jed's still erect and unsheathed pink flesh rocket. The older wolf began lapping at Jed's cock until Jed too shot his seed covering Arian's muzzle in the process.

Both Jason and Jed were sore and grateful that there was no school the next day due to a teacher's workshop. Jedidiah had a realization that the teacher's workshops and school breaks tended to follow the cycle of the full moon. He also noticed the football schedule tended to be different on weeks with a full moon.

He was famished when he came down to the table for breakfast. Jed's father was the first to say, "I wish we could have seen it. I bet you're a beautiful wolf kid."

Jed didn't intend it but suddenly his body disappeared into his robe and the white arctic wolf emerged from underneath. This change wasn't anywhere near as long or painful as the previous nights. Arian was quick to warn the Glynnis's to stay put and not run.

Jed's mother was the first to recover. She reached out to her son making a quick joke she said, "Killer coat to be stuck with in Florida my son."

Charlie March rounded the corner and saw Jedidiah in his lycan form. The boy ran to him throwing his arms around Jed's neck, "He's so fluffy." The room erupted in laughter and the lycan Jed let out a soft whimper.

Arian held up Jedidiah's robe as the boy shifted back to human form. "How are you able to do that Jed. Most new lycans can't control their shift this quick. Some take years to be able to shift on demand."

Hachi Glynis answered, "It is a gift from the earth spirit. She gave him the knowledge and skills of his forebearer. I do not know fully what else she imparted in my son. I believe it was more than just strength for this change."

Jed quickly changed to human form under the robe and stood. "I don't care what she gave me, I am so hungry right now Mom. Whatever is ready even if it's made from cardboard." The room again erupted in laughter.

Hachi and Jed knew that more was shared during the elemental's link. Through Leilani's connection they shared each others existence as well, not just facts and events of their lives they felt the love one had for the other. The love they had for their respective mate.

The boys gathered around the table as their mothers prepared breakfast. Jed chuckled as he noticed Jason squeeze in next to him at the dining table. When Arian went up to get thirds for he and Jedidiah Jason spoke, "Thank you for your protection last night sir."

Jed replied, "What protection?"

"Because of you sir, I have a better status in the pack. They know I'm YOUR zed. You have taken possession of me sir." Carolyn saw Jedidiah's confused look and shook her head yes. For the first time Jedidiah mentally connected with Jason. Jed saw and experienced how Jason's old pack treated the boy and used him. The similarity was too much and Jed's eyes misted.

Jed wrapped is left arm around the boy, "Well you're my friend first. I'll look out for you until you find a mate who can protect you properly." Jedidiah saw with Leilani's gift that the boy was speaking the truth. The ancient knowledge that was imparted to him was slowly unfolding like a file decompressing across a computer network.

After breakfast Sheriff Blaidd spoke up, "It didn't hurt as much for you this time did it?" Jed shook his head no. "You didn't fight it this time. You just let it happen. It hurts when you try to stop it. You look good with amber eyes by the way."

Jed knew that was why the doctor gave him the colored contact lenses. Thankfully he didn't have to put them in today. The sheriff replied, "We have big fish to fry soon. The World Council wants a meeting with you Jedidiah. Regardless of their opinion, you are part of my pack and my family, that will not change. I... no WE will fight for you."

Jedidiah released a shuttering whimper like question, "What's going on sir? Is this for all newly-converted? If not, why are they involved?"

"Jedidiah, you have been claimed by another pack. This pack has a lot of corpses and a lot of blood behind it. I have had running battles with mongrels like the Klanje Pack for centuries."

"Interesting name, in Serbian Klanje means slaughter." Suddenly Jedidiah remembered the crime scene from the sheriff's memory. "Sir do they have something to do with Kyle and Karl's murder?"

The Sheriff was about to let loose with a comfortable lie. Simply looking at Jed, he knew it would not pass. He silently nodded his head yes. With the two younger and weaker pack members at the table Jed did not press further. Now he knew who was behind everything. It was Vuc. While he did internalize and feel guilty for his best friend's death, he was also angry... Angry enough to want blood.

While Trooper March was performing his FHP duties, the sheriff hung out with Jedidiah. Jed asked, "Alpha, could we take a walk?"

"Jed, you're my son's mate, and I have been your friend for a good while longer then I have been your Alpha. Just call me Dutch or Dad. Your choice."

"Arian was telling me about the housing issue for transitory wolves. Before the Parker Hotel burned down that was where the pack put their transitory members. I have an idea."

Jedidiah, Arian and Dutch walked down the street from The Orange Plant. "Sir, I bought these warehouses out of spite. When the owner went bankrupt Mr. Ferguson tried to buy them for pennies on the dollar. I bid fair market value, Ferguson couldn't meet the bid. I never liked that weasel. He did bad things to me. Now that I own them, I have no real plans for what to do with them.

They are old, but they are also category four hurricane rated. With a little work I think we could turn them into apartments for the un-mated wolves and the transitory wolves as well."

The sheriff gave a rub to the back of the boy's neck. "Jed, I think that would be an outstanding idea. I'll bring it up with the pack committee. If the pack doesn't buy them, I will, at current fair market value. Unless I'm very much mistaken, you're going to make a little bit of a profit. They're just far enough from The Orange Plant that if a mundane does rent a unit, they won't be able to see anything.

You own these vacant lots as well don't you?"

Jed answered, "Yes sir. I don't like it when people try to low ball bids stealing propery for pennies on the dollar. I noticed something else, have you noticed how the properties in question just so happened to cut into pack owned properties? Ferguson and my grandfather worked hand-in-glove to purchase these businesses and properties. Kind of ironic how many disasters including suspicious fires occurred in the city over the last decade. Dollars to donuts our friend Vuc was behind it."

"No bet little buddy. Arian, Luna chose a good mate for you."

Arian squeezed Jedidiah's butt, "Yes she did Pop!" Dutch shook his head with a grin.

As the three toured the old warehouses. Jedidiah pointed out he had always thought low income apartments would be a perfect fit but never had the funds to make it happen. "Buying an old building is easy. Converting it, that's expensive."

"Every year we get more and more lycans who choose to remain un-mated. This can solve a lot of issues. Thank you Jed. On another topic I've been approached by more than a few females who want to whelp pups for you. Three more said it had to do with the reveal of your hybrid form last night. It's kind of funny some of them are interested in whelping your pups but not my son's. I'm trying not to be offended by that."

Arian replied to his father, "Dad, he is prettier." The concept of raising children with Arian never even presented itself to Jed. There were many plans that were needed for the future. "We're not even going to think about pups until after college right Jed?"

Dutch saw the confused look on Jedidiah's face and told the boy that in many cases same sex couples use invitro fertilization with willing un-mated males and females to have children. "There is a large selection of surrogates to choose from these days. Fifty years ago that would have been quite the scandal. I think our culture is evolving faster than our mundane counterparts."

Jedidiah let out a long yawn. It was decided to return to The Plant so that the boys could get rest before the full moon activities continued. Jed thought it odd, in the movies the full moon only happens once a month. In reality for lycans it is a two-night event.

As the trio walked down the stairwell of the factory, Jed felt him... he looked out the stairwell window towards the old Mercantile. He saw a shadowy figure standing by the doors. He pointed shouting, "Zivko!" The sheriff directed Arian to get Jedidiah back to The Plant as he took off down the stairwell.

Jed and Arian went out the side door running the back way to The Plant. Once outside Jed could smell it. The sheriff was at the crime scene and could smell the perpetrator. Now a lycan, Jed was now able to understand that old factory marker. Zivko raped Kyle, then murdered both he and Karl. Jed stopped dead in his tracks.

Dutch was tired of dancing around these interlopers in his pack's territory. He charged out the front door sprinting towards the Mercantile. Again Zivko was one step ahead of the Alpha. It was nothing magical about Zivko's departure. Dutch could smell the gas fumes. The coward was spirited away in a vehicle. Unsure of which of the three available directions of travel, Dutch returned to The Plant.

While Dutch was running towards the Mercantile Jedidiah was processing the full situation. One overriding impulse filled his mind, "Zivko must die!" Faster than Arian could imagine, he watched Jedidiah shift into his hybrid form.

He too shifted. Not to join in the hunt, but to restrain his mate. Arian pinned Jed to the ground. "Jed, not in public... Not like this. Soon pup, you have my word we will get them. I will help you hunt them down. Shift back babe."

Jedidiah saw in his lovers mind. He saw and felt the battle that the mini pack engaged on that night he perform the healing of "Slick" the wolf. He saw the face of the lycan who was killed. As the Lycan shifted to human form Jed recognized Vlado's form.

With knowledge that his mate had killed for him (indirectly) the heat was taken out of him. Jedidiah return to human form as did Arian. The boys held each other until Jed stopped shaking. They returned to The Orange Plant, their clothes were tattered. Arian held Jedidiah so long that the sheriff beat them to The Plant. "It was him Sir."

"I know Jed, I know. Luna as my witness I will make them pay. Jed, I know you were angry son, but you have to control your wolf. We got lucky. To survive as a pack, we have to live in the shadows. Mundanes cannot know we exist. That has to be the last time you behave like a feral. Son take your pup upstairs and get him changed." Jed apologized and the boys went upstairs.

As they went Jedidiah's mother saw the sorrow and rage on his face and wondered if history was repeating itself. Even worse, she could feel Leilani's irritation as well. Could it be that the elemental had maternal feelings for her son?

The rest of the day continued normally, no further sightings of the mongrels occurred. After dinner Carolyn presented the new pack member a long robe for the walk to the circle. "We have guests from the council tonight. This should make you more comfortable both during the walk and your shift. If you keep wearing your clothes when you shift you are going to run out of them soon. While I know Arian would enjoy seeing you running around naked, I don't think you want the rest of the pack to see just yet."

Carolyn loved seeing the blush and embarrassed expression cross the boy's face as he reached up taking the gift. While nudity might be normal for a lycan community, Jed wasn't there just yet.

Just as it was the previous night the pack went to the circle and a fire was lit. The pack shifted and begin playing. This night though they stayed close to the fire. Other lycans approached the circle in canine form. One by one the pack returned to human form. Human attendants arrived caring for the needs of the council.

Jedidiah looked up recognizing the familiar robed form of Council Emissary Drugan O'Connor. "Little one you're going to have to shift to human form for this meeting. I know you still have some of those few vestiges of human modesty but you will have to learn to put them aside."

Arian growled as he arched his back. His aggressive stance remained as he shifted into human form. His father already robed threw a robe at his son. "Stand down boy. Your mate is the one they are here to see. You have my word son, your mate will not leave here in their custody."

Another large robed man approached, "Quite right Dutch. Jed no one is here to hurt you. You are native-born, you have certain rights. Shift now." Arian held up his mate's rode. The material obstructed the view of his mate's naked human form during his shift. "A bashful alpha, how charming." The big man quipped. "It seems as if the Klanje Pack claim may have some merit Dutch."

"Like hell! This is a natural mating between two natural borns, and you know which one takes priority Chairman Olsen! You can't tear this pair apart."

"Dutch I will hear all sides. For now you have to stand down and control your Pack."

A heavily accented voice came from the shadows of the tree line, "Control... is topic Dutch have very little experience with. Jedidiah's blood ran cold as he recognized the voice and the form that emerged into the light. "Good evening little one I bring greetings from your Gospodaru Vuk. He still burns remembering your night of passion together. I too miss our playtime."

Jedidiah choked down the bile that was forming at the back of his throat. He shook the arm that was draped around his shoulder away. Arian was stunned at Jed's action. His mate swayed his hips seductively as he approached Zivko. Arian had a moment's doubt, did his love actually want to be with Vuk?

All doubt was erased as Jedidiah spoke, " My dear friend Zivko, you mind fucked me. Then you raped me... You delivered me to Vuk, who mind fucked me again and raped me in violation of the laws set down by Luna. Laws to protect the development of young lycans.

Now you raped my best friend... Then you murdered Kyle and his love, who was also my friend. Those two were closer than brothers to me." Jed saw the lecherous look in Zivko's eye. He saw the monster was reliving the attacks in his head, and Jed knew Zivko's cock was getting hard at that rememberance.

In an icy tone, "You once taught me not to fear you by letting me touch your scar. You taught me that your name meant living..." In a flash Jedidiah's arm shifted to its hybrid lycan form as he reached out and ripped Zivko's windpipe from his throat.

As the blood drained from his body Jedidiah growled, "...to me your name is now 'Ne zivi vise!' You got within arm's reach... Your mistake, a fatal one." Jed took a swipe at Zivko's head severing it from his weakend body. With that the powerful Serb fell over dead. "Little does NOT mean weak... Again YOUR mistake."

There was a collective gasp. Using the ancient knowledge imparted by Leilani Jed continued firmly, "Please forgive me Alpha, I know you gave YOUR word of no violence and I mean no disrespect. I believe under original Council law, first right of vengeance for innocent blood shed cannot be waived even by ones pack Alpha.

My friend Kyle was still a virgin. With his rape and murder, Zivko and his pack wronged me personally. On top of that, the mongrel Vuk took me far too young. Under our sacred laws, it was a forbidden mating." There were nods of agreement from the older pack members. "As a natural, not mongrel, Alpha I claim that right for the loss of my friends."

Arian spoke to his father, "I stand with my mate father. He deserves his vengeance and hunt, I will help him." The younger pack members quickly assembled at Jedidiah and Arian side.

Dutch walked to the boys, "I am not offended Jed. You have been wronged. You obeyed pack law. In fact it is I who owes you an apology. I had a chance to end Vuk, the monster who murdered my first mate, stole from my pack, poached my territory. As your father inlaw I stand with you and my son. As your Alpha I say, the pack stands with you Jedidiah." He said the last part loud enough for the council to hear.

Jed turned his attention to Council Chairman Olsen and Drugan O'Connor as he growled, "I do reserve the right to end the mongrel Milan Vuk as well. There is a river of blood that runs between us now." The council's human servants quickly removed the Serbian thug's corpse. "Deliver it's head to Vuk!" Arian wrapped his arms around his mate.

The blood drained from Council Emissary O'Connor's face as he replied, "It is your right, but it does complicate things. The council is here to negotiate peace. We can't have another territory war in South Florida. What Klanje Pack did in Miami raised eyebrows. Clearly peace is not on the table any longer. On a personal level young pup, I didn't recognize what you said to him at the end."

A woman spoke with a heavily accented yet very familiar voice behind Jed, "He said the man's name is now 'live no more.' Dobro vece moja mala dusa... (Good evening my little soul). To think Quade thought you weak. This is only your second night of full moon, how much stronger will you grow as the years pass?"

Jed spun on his heel and saw a much younger face he knew so well. "You are so young... is that really you... Grandma D?"

Arian released his hold as Dusica wrapped her arms around the boy. "I know you have so many questions little one. Suffice it to say the Council directed me to 'move on.' Too many people were noticing how the years were passing me by. I couldn't adjust my appearance any longer. It was also becoming impossible to live with your grandfather. There are things you must understand little one. Your father cannot know about me."

"Grandma, I might be able to hide you from father but there is no way I will be able to hide this from my mother. At times she sees in my head, the Elemental will let her know... goodness ma'am I still leak in my dreams."

"Then you must make her understand she cannot tell her husband. As to your 'leaking in your sleep, you must never again share the same roof with your father. You and your mother are special creatures. My son on the other hand..." Shaking her head she let out a sad sigh "...though he has lycan blood, he is JUST a mundane. Knowing I still live will bring him nothing but pain. You must obey me on this." Jed nodded his understanding.

Dusica turned her attention to Arian, "You are my grandson's mate?" Arian's mouth hung open as he too nodded. "Be good to him."

"Grandma D, don't take this the wrong way I'm still learning so much, how old are you?"

She laughed, "I'm old enough to have a seat on the council, but young enough to have been captured and enslaved to Vuk. Emissary O'Connor is right, your choice tonight has complicated things. I'm sad to say that you have inherited my husband's temper. Hopefully you have inherited my temperament as well. I cannot protect you grandson. I must remain neutral."

Jed felt the pain she felt having to leave him, and her joy over this reunion. "Shift for me little one. Oh, I have waited for so long to watch an offspring shift to lycan form."

Jedidiah and then his grandmother shifted to canine form. Both were mirror images of each other's platinum white wolves. Jedidiah rolled to his back as his grandmother sniffed and played with her grandson.

As the reunited pair played, the pack leaders and hunters planned. Determined to fix a problem they allowed to fester too long. The rest of the World Council departed knowing their mission of peace had failed. They too had much to discuss.

The next morning Council Emissary O'Connor delivered Jedidiah's 'gift basket' to Vuk. As the boss pulled back the towel covering the disembodied head he said calmly, "Tako da se malo stene zeli igrati ... Valjda ga moram ponovo obrazovati. (So the little puppy wishes to play... I guess I must educate him again.)" Vuk took a deep breath then coldly replied, "Drugan you may go, I have no reply for you to return."

The bureaucrat departed as the boss continued speaking to the air in restrained rage, "Oh my little one... you will pay for violating this truce. I wanted my new puppy to know only sexual bliss... NOW you will know real pain under my heel, before you are by my side."
