Chapter 16

There was a darkness in front of us.  Shadows were lurking forward.  They moved so quickly dark things that scared the fuck out of me.   It was Cham who took a step back clasping onto his heart and holding it for dear life.

"No turning back now," Ariel replied almost knowing that Cham was afraid.

Cham rolled his eyes, "I know that.  Don't you think I know that.  No turning around.  I see them all around us though.  The energy.  I can feel it."

We had walked deeper in the dark woods.  This was the location that Ariel had brought us in order to confront Leviathan.  This was where Leviathan was.  Ariel was standing in the forefront.  She had wolves guiding us.  There was a pack of them.  They had met us at the entrance of the woods and had come to guide us this far.  Even Ariel's wolves seemed nervous about these woods though.  Something was not right here.

"Do we have a plan?" Raphael asked.

"Kill Leviathan," I replied.

"A better plan," Raphael shook his head, "I know Rag isn't here to plan for us anymore but we need a plan.  What if things go wrong."

He had stopped walking in a very dramatic way.  When he stopped Ariel stopped, then her pack of wolves, then Cham and finally me.  I could see fear in his eyes and doubt.  He looked like he wanted to approval of some sorts but underneath I knew there was fear.  For some reason I wasn't afraid.  Ariel didn't seem too afraid either.  I guess she shouldn't have been surrounded by these animals who would probably give their lives for her.  She seemed collected---even angry.  Maybe deep inside she wanted Leviathan dead just as much as I did.

It was Cham who spoke.  Even without taking him serious he was the one who seemed most in tune with the dangers around us.  Listening to him seemed like the natural thing to do at this point.

"I'll guide us into the darkness with my third eye," Cham stated, "Ariel's wolves will act as a decoy.  Raphael---you get close and you take take his energy and then Michael.  Michael you kill him."

"Are you able to do that Michael?" Ariel asked.

"Why wouldn't I?"

"Your abilities seem...sometime-y."

Raphael looked over at me, "Ariel's right.  They do seem a bit inconsistent."

They were all looking at me.  I wondered how the other half angels saw me.  Raphael had been the weak one in the group only able to heal others but now his powers had expanded.  Was he looking down on me now?  Were they all looking down on me.  These abilities were more than just a power.  They were blessings from heaven itself, yet my abilities did seem the most uncontrollable.  Uriel could conjour flame like it was nothing.  Ariel's animals always came when she needed them. I was different.

This time I didn't have doubts however.

"They will come."

I didn't explain just who 'they' were but Ariel nodded.  They knew I was speaking about the Cherubim.  They knew I was talking about my invisible angels of vengeance that I commanded from the heavens with their sharp swords and serious wings.

"He's up ahead...he's in a cave.  He's just waiting," Cham said looking into the distance and the mist, "I don't understand.  Leviathan is just waiting."

I could feel it too.  My third eye wasn't as clear as Cham's third eye but I could feel it.  It felt almost like when you were asleep and you woke up but you knew someone was watching you.  That recognition was there.

"He's waiting," I stated.

Ariel nodded, "Let's not have him wait any longer then."

She began moving forward.  I could tell now more than ever that she was just as anxious for the fight as I was.  Maybe that is why she doubted if I could kill Leviathan.  Maybe she wanted to do it herself.  I couldn't figure her out.  Hell, I couldn't figure any women out.  Maybe that was why I was gay.

As we walked the woods got darker and darker.  The shadows seem to spread.

My heart beat fast but I attempted to act like I wasn't afraid.

"You can come closer if you want," Raphael stated.

I wondered if he noticed.  I wondered if he noticed I was afraid.  He had the nerve to reach out to me at that moment and try to grab my hand like I was some sort of child.

"Get the hell off of me," I replied.

He nodded, half hurt and half expecting my reaction.  He continued to walk.  I had to admit I wished that Uriel was here instead.  For some reason Uriel's light always made me feel protected.  His light didn't only keep the danger away but it burned.  It would have burned down these woods and turned them into ash.

The trees loomed over us.  Darker.  Darker.

I felt like we were going into the midst of hell itself.  The leaves crackled underneath me.  It got darker still!  There was a mist that came into the ear.  The pack of wolves started to make this growling noise.  About five of Ariel's wolves ran forward.  The others remained at her side.  They were beautiful beasts really, large and protective of their mistress.  Ariel...the beast queen moved forward with the most confidence out of all of us.  It made me think that her fear the first battle was just a ploy to throw us off completely from her relationship.

"There he is..." Cham stated.

"Where?"  Raphael asked, "I don't see anyone.

"Look harder."

Cham was right.  There was a cave that started to rise in the distance.  As we got closer we saw the wolves.  They had surrounded someone.  It was Leviathan.  I knew it was Leviathan.  The bull was sitting there with these horns coming out of his head.  His face was the same however.  He looked over at us with this knowing.  He knew we were coming maybe.  Maybe he had sat there for hours.  Maybe he had sat there for days.  Maybe he knew Ariel would bring us to this place.

"He's not moving," Raphael stated.

He was stating the obvious.  All eight of Ariel's wolves had surrounded Leviathan.  We stood away from him but in vision watching as her dogs just surrounded him viciously.  They looked like scary things for sure.  They growled, spit and circled Leviathan.

"You see me standing here," Ariel replied, "Leviathan you see me!"

His face was cold.  He still had that strong, burnt up expression that I remembered that was always unfriendly and cold.  He was never a bad looking man.  He was always just so cold looking.  Evil permeated from him.  The leaves around him were black.

His eyes raised and they looked over at me...looking right past Ariel, "You came Michael.  Is that you?  Is there any part of you in your human vessel.  Do you remember Michael?  Do you remember when you tossed me from heaven."

"What the fuck is he talking about?" I asked.

Ariel rolled her eyes, "Nonsense.  Leviathan get on your knees.  You hear me.  I won't kill a man sitting down..."

The wolves around Ariel growled.  They were getting closer angry.  They must have read their mistress's anger.  It wasn't hard to see that Ariel was angry and as Leviathan continued to ignore her Ariel got angrier and angrier.

"We're being surrounded," Cham warned us, "They are all around us.  His legion..."

I looked around.  I didn't see anyone but I could feel something coming...something fierce.

"He'll be dead before then," Ariel replied.

Leviathan looked over at me, "Michael.  I'll kill the others.  They mean nothing to me...but I'll keep you alive.  I want you to suffer.  I want you to fall just like I did.  Just when you tossed me out of heaven.  I want you to fall.  The police are on their way.  Once the other angels are dead they'll take you.  I'll tell them it was you.  What will you do then Michael?  Will you kill all the humans?  I want you to kill all of them.  I want God to look at you the same way he looked at me.  Sinful. Fallen."

He was speaking nonsense but all his nonsense seemed to be directed at me.  Maybe that is why Ariel's anger seemed to shoot through the roof.

"Tear him apart!" she howled.

The vicious tone in her voice seemed to reflect the anger of the wolves.  Maybe they heard her order or maybe they just felt her woman's scorn.  I wasn't exactly sure her heavenly traits worked.  All I knew was two wolves had attacked.  These were huge 100 pound wolves snarling and biting.  The two wolves went forward and clutched into Leviathan's body.

They bit down, each clawing at him...biting...ravaging him.  Leviathan finally seemed to react.  A few droplets of blood spreading out from each of his arms.

He flung one wolf to the side that was on him and then all of a sudden he snarled this growl...much more aggressive than any wolf could.  Leviathan was on his feet now and his face had blackened.  It was something not human.  It was something demonic!

Wings.  Wings spread across his back.  They were bat wings!

"They are here..." Cham had whispered to me specifically.

This time I did see what he was talking about.  In the corner of my eyes I could see the shadows all around me.  My heart started to race.  The dark shadows were racing from place to place.

My palms were sweating.  The wolf that had been biting into Leviathan took a step back once it saw how grand this demon had become.  The thing looking back at me now wasn't human.  It's skin was a gray scale and dry.  It's eyes were black.  It's teeth became husks.  His clothing was reduced to shred until nothing stood before us but this dark, nude figure of fear.

"TEAR HIM APART!" Ariel was screaming.

She kept screaming it but I was distracted.  We weren't alone now.  The shadows were everywhere and suddenly I realized what they were.  My heart jumped almost out of my chest as figures came at me.  First there was just two or three, which caused me take a few steps back but then there were more.  There were much more.

They were corpses!  Corpses of the dead.  They grabbed me dragging me to the ground.

It was Cham who screamed out to warn me, "Michael look out!"

It was too late though.  It was much too late for a warning...even with Cham's third eye.  The things swept through the darkness like bats out of hell.  I didn't hear them coming.  Maybe they didn't walk.  Maybe they flew even though I didn't see their wings.  It didn't matter but the shadows descended on me immediately.

"AH!"

My heart dropped just as quick as my body.  I started to kick hoping to remove them off of me but it was no avail.  Three had jumped on me...then four and then five.

"Tear him apart!" Ariel had continued to scream in the distance.

I wasn't sure what she was saying.  She must have not seen the fact that I was attacked.  She may have not cared.  I didn't have time to look up and see as the corpses surrounded me.  As they dragged me across the ground they seemed to be pulling me and I found myself resisting.

"Archangel...if you hear me..." I found myself saying underneath my breath.

Nothing.  Nothing!

A bite entered my arm.  I shrieked in pain. As I resisted I noticed the corpses biting chunks of flesh off my body.  The pain was something that I couldn't take.  They had pulled me over a hill away from the others and I found myself tumbling with the corpses.

There was a weak moment of relief as I was separated from them.  I found myself kicking away and struggling to my feet.

"Archangel...please god.  Please god.  Help me."

I was praying at this point.  It was the only thing I could do.  I had been somehow separated from the others.

I realized a few corpses had become an army.  They had faced me with no familiar face in sight.  They were coming from the grounds I could tell now.  This place was unholy!  This place was a cemetery.  The corpses crawled out of the ground like zombies.  Their bodies were falling off of the bones.  My own body was aching in pain and bleeding.  I was holding onto an arm that was flushed with my own blood and dirt.

I couldn't die here.  I couldn't die here.

"Archangel..."

"I'm here."

I didn't know where the voice came from.  Maybe it was even from me.  It sounded like my voice.  Hell maybe I had even said the words.  It didn't matter.  The cherubim were here.  I was not alone any longer.

"Michael!"

I looked up the hill to see Raphael of all people.  He was coming down the hill, sliding down.  What the hell was he doing here?  Why had he come after me?  Why wasn't he with the others.

The valley I was in seemed to be covered with the corpses.

"Stay back..." I told Raphael.

I didn't wait for him to respond.  I could feel the angels.   They went forward slashing through the corpses like bread.  Chunks of body pieces flew to the left.  The cherubim had come in numbers.  And they kept coming.

"Holy shit," Raphael stated noticing what I was doing.

He had stop coming down the hill and was now just sitting on the side of the hill watching as the bodies fell down one after another.  Even with the cherubim making easy work of these corpses it seemed like there was no end to them.

I pushed on though.

"I'm not going to die here.  I'm not going to die here," I kept telling myself.

More and more the corpses started to fall away.  I pushed forward.  I was literally moving forward.  I could feel my body being drained of energy somehow.  It was almost like trying to lift up the heaviest load in the world for some reason.  I just felt drained.

Toward the end the corpses were getting closer and closer.   There hands were touching me.  The cherubim were taking longer. They were getting so close that by the end I felt almost faint and I wasn't able to hold this up any longer.

I felt weak on my knees.  They were closer.  So...close...

I found myself falling forward and I was caught.

It was Raphael who caught me, "Stop.  Send them away.  You did it.  You got rid of all of them."

I was in Raphael's arms.  Raphael looked down at me.  It was the first time I had to admit that I looked  at Raphael in a different way.  He seemed so strong and so handsome looking down at me.  He was almost protective.  All of a sudden it just seemed as though Uriel wasn't the only one who could protect me.  Raphael kept me in his arms.

"I'm fine.  I'm fine."

"Rest for a minute.  I got you," Raphael assured me, "You were amazing.  You do know that right? You were amazing just now.  I never saw anything like it.  Rest now...I'm healing you.  I'll restore your energy.  Do you feel it coming back?"

I had to admit.  I did feel it.  Raphael's body against my body...was making me feel so...safe.  I felt so at home.

"It's so warm."

Raphael looked over at me, "Your scars are healing up so fast too.  Here.  Come closer."

Our bodies were pressed up against one another.  I was like a child being held by Raphael.  He was healing me.  He was restoring my energy and he was looking in my eyes at the same time.  We were getting closer.  The closer we got the better I felt.

Soon we were so close that our lips...were touching.  His tongue in my mouth and it wasn't like a normal kiss.  No.  It seemed like all the energy that I had lost was completely being restored with this kiss.  Our tongues smashed into each other and locked.  I didn't know something was so possible.  My body was reacting to him all of a sudden.  My dick was getting hard.  My entire body just seemed to be drenched in this feeling of obsession over him.

"Fuck...what was that?" I asked.

I was rubbing on his face.  My mouth was still open.  Our lips were parted.  My heart was beating heavier and heavier.

It seemed the world disappeared.  What the fuck was this feeling?  There was no way in hell that I could be getting sparks from stupid ass Raphael of all people.  There was no way in hell that he was making me feel this way.

Just at that moment I heard something.

"RUN!"  a voice called.

It was Cham. I looked over to the right while I was still in his arms.  Cham was coming down the hill.  He had someone in his arms.  It was Ariel.  Ariel looked completely battered!  Cham looked pretty beat up but I didn't even think Ariel was conscious as that moment.

I didn't know what Cham was talking about until I saw it.  This bat figure was flying towards us down the hill.  It descended like a great hawk and it's hands just swooped me completely out of Raphael's arms.

It was Leviathan.

I found myself moving higher and higher into the trees.

"Look down..." Leviathan told me his arms surrounding me as his bat wings took me higher into the air, "You see the earth.  This is our domain.  After you and your angels are gone...this will be our hell.  Revenge.  Do you understand what we want now?  You sent me to hell Michael, so I plan on raising it to Earth."

Just at that moment I noticed something.

Leviathan's ring.  His right wing had engulfed into flames!

"What the---"

I didn't even have time to react.  Leviathan let me go.  He was falling and soon so was I.  Before I knew it I was descending to the ground faster then a goddam comet.  My body was falling so fast below me.  My body was falling so fast that all I could do was see the trees below.  I was so far above the ground.

And someone caught me!  Someone caught me before I hit the ground with almost perfect precision.  I looked over to see who it was.

It was Uriel.

The same way I had looked up at Raphael I was now looking up at Uri!

"What are you doing here?"

He had saved me.  He was the one who burnt Leviathan's wings and caught me before I hit the ground.  The others had surrounded Uri.  Uri didn't respond to me.  He put me down softly and took a few steps back as if he didn't want to spend too much time touching me.

I noticed who was next to Uri at that moment.  I noticed the figure to his right.  It was Gabby.  We exchanged looks in the coldest way.  Gabby just looked at me silently not really saying anything. Her eyes caught onto mine and she smirked.

"No more corpses to fight?" Gabby asked, "Damn.  Uri...we came a little too late."

"I thought you guys weren't showing up," Raphael stated.

I looked over at Raphael.  He was sitting with his hands on Ariel.  He was healing Ariel I was sure.  He was restoring her energy.

"We came to save your asses...Uri felt bad," Gabby replied and then stared back at Ariel's immobile body being healed, "Clearly you guys needed it. Pathetic."

She was a bitch.

Cham rolled his eyes, "Are you serious?  Do you see the corpses?  Michael took all of those things out by himself.  Ariel was fighting Leviathan.  Ariel had the upper hand.  Her and her wolves were giving Leviathan the business.  She did her best..."

Gabby shrugged her shoulders, "Not good enough.  Leviathan's still alive and she looks like she is barely holding on.  Let the big boys take care of this.  You guys can head home now."

She was standing next to Uri.  He looked a lot better than he did before.  He looked strong and confident.  Was this it then?  The two of them were a team of some sort?  I guess she did win him after all.  Uri didn't even acknowledge me.  He wasn't even looking in my eyes.  It was like he didn't give a shit about the fact that I was even here.

It hurt.  It fucking hurt to see the guy I had these feeling for just not even acknowledge me and stand next to Gabby almost representing her.

"We don't need the two of you," I stated.

"Clearly you don't," Uri replied to me with this extra spurn, "Still...managed to come just in time to see your mouth in Raphael's throat---"

Fuck.

I was about to reply when I saw Cham.

"He's coming back.  Leviathan.  In about 10 seconds.  Be ready," Cham warned us rubbing onto his forehead.

I wanted to explain to Uri.  I wanted to let him know that I was hurt and somehow it just happened.  I didn't think it would make a difference and Uri didn't seem to want to hear it anyway.  He turned away from me quickly with Gabby at his side.

Just as we heard flaps I saw Gabby pick up this log.  It wasn't a regular log.  Hell it was a part of a fallen tree.  I was sure no one besides Gabby could pick something like this up.

Before long I realized the tree was set on fire and Gabby looked over at Cham.  Uriel had set her tree on fire.  Were they really working as a team now?

"Which direction?" she asked Cham.

Cham pointed into the mist, "There."

Gabby threw the tree log at that moment into the mist with a power that seemed to cut the air in half.  There was silence from a moment and then a scream.  I had a feeling she hit Leviathan with the branch but I was unable to tell.

"You see.  That's all I need.  Just tell me where the danger is and I'll take care of the rest," Gabby stated "You ready to finish this Uri?"

Uri looked back at me.  It was the quickest glance ever.

"Let's go," he replied.

He and Gabby disappeared into the mist at that moment.  I couldn't see past it to see where they went but it looked like they were following the sound of Leviathan's piercing scream.  Uri must have felt safer with Gabby.  Maybe if it wasn't a physical safety, he felt an emotional safety with her.  Maybe he just didn't trust me anymore.  Maybe I had lost him for good this time.

I walked over to Raphael, "Is she ok?"

"She'll survive...she did her best like Cham stated," Raphael stated.

"You two go help them," Cham replied, "I'll stay here.  I'll look after her."

"You sure?" Raphael asked.

"No danger around.  Michael took care of all of them.  Besides if there is any danger I'll see it a mile away and I'll get the fuck out of dodge," Cham replied.

Raphael nodded.

"Fine.  C`mon Michael."

I stayed close to Raphael and we descended into the mist. The mist was so thick.  God knows what was going on.  I wasn't able to tell honestly.

The mist was so goddam thick that it seemed to swallow the trees.

"You really were amazing earlier," Raphael stated.

I sighed.  We were walking into the mist together and it just seemed so personal.  We had no choice but to walk side by side.  The mist was that thick.

"I can feel them this way.  My third eye isn't as strong as Cham but I feel them this way.  They are fighting Leviathan."

"So you just going to ignore me?" he asked.

"How am I ignoring  you?"

"We kissed.  This time it wasn't in the darkness.  This time we kissed mutually.  You felt it," Raphael stated, "You felt that spark that I did."

"Is this the time to talk about it?"

"Yes.  It definitely is.  Because I'm not going to give Uri the chance to forgive you and the two of you work out whatever you guys have going on."

"I don't think Uri is going to forgive me."

Raphael shook his head, "He would be stupid not to...you're everything."

He had stopped me.  Raphael had held onto my hand.  Why was my heart beating so fast?  I had felt this before.  I had felt this with Uri.  I still felt this with Uri but right now Raphael was talking all crazy and I was believing him.  I was really finding myself attracted to him.  I mean I was always attracted to him physically but there was something emotional behind it as well.  We were holding hands and it felt so natural.  It wasn't forced.  I knew this was wrong but hell...Uri probably should have known it was wrong to be attracted to me too.

All of a sudden as we were looking through the darkness a scream broke out.

I recognized the voice almost immediately.

"Uri..."

All of a sudden I snapped into reality.  Uri was in trouble.  Uri was hurt.  I found myself running.  I was running so fast.  No.

Not Uri.  Not Uri.

"Michael!  Wait!  Michael!" Raphael had stated.

I had drowned his screams out though.  I was running I was running so fast and the mist seemed to clear up a little but so that I could see what was going on.

I saw Gabby before the others. She was bleeding and on one knee.

"That motherfucker, Leviathan, has some bite," she stated, "Help me up.  I'm going to FUCK him up."

"Where's Uri?"

"Help me up."

"Bitch fuck you. Where is Uri?"

She pointed.  There.  You see.  Right behind that tree."

I looked over to where she was pointing.  Uri was standing there.  Fire was raging through the air.  Fireballs.  He was sending them into the air and I could see who he was sending them to.  It was Leviathan.  The bull's distinguished face started to growl something horrible.  Uri was in trouble.

Uri was screaming for his own life.  He was driving the bull off and he seemed to be holding his own but he looked like he was getting weak.  Uri started staggering forward.

The bulls swept down from the sky on his bat wings launching at Uri.  He got so close that Uri literally had to throw himself back to avoid the bat.

No. Uri.

Not Uri.  Not my Uri.

"Oh my god," Gabriel stated.

I turned to her to see what she was talking about.  She wasn't alone.  Raphael was with her two.  The two of them staring in shock at something.  I didn't know what but then I saw the things on my back.

Wings.  Beautiful white wings that spread out into the sky.  They stretched out almost 10 feet in both directions.  The wings were beautiful white.  And I could feel them attached to my back!  Angel's wings.  They were angel's wings.

And as I moved muscles in my back that I didn't know I even had and the wings moved with them! The wings were flapping with me!

I had FUCKING wings!

"AHH!" a voice screamed.

I realized it was Uri.  He was in trouble.  I looked over to see Leviathan on top of him.  His foot was digging onto Uri's chest. It dug down...pushing and pushing.  I could see Uri start to spit up blood.

All of a sudden I was gliding across the air.  My wings flapping because I was driven by the thought of saving Uri.  Right now nothing else mattered but that.  I was going flying.  I was flying like I had done it for an entire lifetime.  I was gliding across the sky like a dove.  I navigated so easy.

And this time I wasn't driven by anger.

This time I was driven by love.

I was driven by my love of Uri.

"Michael?" I heard Uri's voice ask.

He didn't even recognize me.  It didn't matter.  I was after Leviathan.  I found myself holding onto Leviathan.  I was pulling him up into the sky.  I could feel the cherubim all around me.  Leviathan was looking into my eyes as I flew up into the heaven with him.

"You can't...you can't win..." he was telling me.

He said a few other things.  I ignored all of them.  They didn't matter.

"I've already won..."

Yes.  That voice wasn't mine.  No.  The voice was something angelic.  Had I ascended?  Maybe it was the archangel Michael...my father who had come into my mouth and spoken those words for me.  My hand reached forward and it seemed as though it was the hand of GOD!  The golden hand ripped through Leviathan's chest.

And there was nothing.  There was nothing left.

By the time I descended back to the ground my wings had disappeared and what was a monster was nothing less then a man.  He was laying underneath me.  The bull.  The thing that been something I feared so much was dead finally.

"You did it..." a voice said.

They were all looking at me.  They had saw the wings.  I wondered if it was respect that was in their eyes.  Uri and Gabby stood a little off from the others.  I turned to see Cham.  He was with Ariel and Raphael wasn't too far behind them.  Her eyes were barely open and she could barely walk but she saw Leviathan underneath me as well.

"Is he really dead?" Raphael asked, "Is it over?"

Cham shook his head, "It's far from over.  Something worse is coming.  Something worse than Leviathan."

"Is that possible?" Ariel asked.

Cham nodded.

"The mist is clearing..."

I hadn't noticed the mist clearing but they were right.  Something else was here at this moment.  Search lights.  Search lights and dogs.  Cops came running over the hill at that moment.  God knows how Leviathan got them to come here like this.

"HANDS UP!  HANDS UP WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!"

Shit.  This wasn't happening.

"What do we do?" Cham asked, "I didn't see them coming...I should have.  I didn't..."

"Don't blame yourself," I told him.

"What do we do? What do we fucking do?"

"We get rid of them?" Raphael asked.

There were so many cops all of a sudden.  I looked over to where they were standing.  They seemed to have their guns pointed at one person.  They seemed to have their guns pointed at me.

"No.  That's what Leviathan wanted.  They want me..."

"No."

It was Raphael who said it but he wasn't alone.  Uri had said it as well.  Their voices went in sync.  Uri actually looked sad.  I was shocked to see not only one person who cared about me but two.  They both seemed almost on the verge of breaking down as I put my hands up.

The cops were shouting orders out behind me but I knew what I had planned to do already.  I found myself reaching for the heaven and I was slowly walking back now.

"It's ok..."

"No...Michael," Uri stated, "We stay together."

"That's the only way out of this," I replied.

My eyes locked on Uri.  The others all seemed sad for some reason.  Were they sad because of me?  I noticed the cops running over to me.  They saw me over Leviathan.  They saw him in his human form.  Maybe he said something to them.  Maybe they felt like I had come here to kill him.  They were already looking for me because of my mother.

Uri was about to say something else but I felt Gabby grab him quickly.  Uri was almost screaming but somehow Gabby was able to subdue him.

I almost teared up watching him kick and scream at that moment.

He cared.

He still cared....

I turned to the cops.  It was ok.  They can take me for now.  I wasn't going to hurt anyone.  I wasn't going to stoop down to Leviathan's level.

I surrendered to the cops and before they locked me up the last thing I said to the other angels is, "Maybe I'll have time to find my halo..."
