"I have no idea what this is. My schedule for 11:15 to 12:00, just says `Royal Meeting'."
"12:00 is the Royal Family ceremony, again in the Grand Entry. This is only open to family, extended family, and invited guests, so only a hundred or so will be there. The Royal Family will descend the Grand Stairway for the ceremony on the upper landing.
"12:15 or at the conclusion of the ceremony the Ballroom will be opened and lunch will commence. You and your hosts will be seated at table one.
"Item #4) After the luncheon they most likely will take you to their amusement park. They're big on those, they wanted to visit several on Earth, but our rules don't allow it. Supposedly the general population isn't ready for fully nude humanoids from other planets," he said with sarcasm.

"That is the tallest roller coaster in the known galaxy, 6.5 km (4 mi) high. On the trip down, you corkscrew in a vertical weightless drop. We'll be taking the shuttle out there this afternoon. It's the fifth largest amusement park in the galaxy and still growing."
The scouts weren't so sure they were up to that extreme of a ride.
With only enough time left to arrive at the cleansing ceremony they boarded the GTU for the ride to the Palace grounds.

"Through his persistence, Aiden became Nurmir's first Intergalactic Kaozuno Greeting. Tradition dictates that whoever receives a Royal's first intergalactic greeting, is awarded honorary citizenship and membership in the Royal family." The small girl stepped up extending the golden box she held.
The King opened the box revealing a purple velvet interior and extracted a very beautiful, very ornate, and VERY heavy breast-plate. "Aiden, I declare you `Citizen Aiden of Kaozuno'." He placed it around Aiden's neck and clasped it in back. Nurmir and the small girl stepped away.
The King moved in front of Liam and turned him also facing the audience as Jurzat and the girl that took his virginity, approached with an identical gold box.

Additional details of just what that extraordinary service was, was not revealed to the assembled patrons of the King who were specifically invited to this event. A half hour late, a sharp looking man standing on the stairs addressed the crowd below. "I present The Royal family! At the top of the stairs, the King and Queen appeared from opposite stairs that led further up, they joined arms in the middle just as Jurzat and Nurmir appeared and fell in behind them.
The four of them were dressed in their finest vestments. The King and Queen both wore their formal crowns, the heavy ones that no one likes to wear. The King and Queen wore silk red scarfs with gold threads throughout over their right shoulders in the bandolero fashion. The King's was knotted low on his hip, the Queen's somewhat higher so the scarf could perfectly cross her chest between her breasts.
Jurzat and Nurmir wore lighter crowns commensurate with their Royal positions. They had similar red scarfs, but with silver threads and wore them over their left shoulders. Theirs were like their father's tied low on the opposite hip.
Halfway down they stopped on a landing, Jurzat and Nurmir flanking their parents. "Thank you, my friends for joining us today for this happy occasion as we accept two new members into the Royal family," the King said. "Come forward Liam and Aiden," commanded the King.
Liam and Aiden left the comfort of their friends and climbed the stairs stopping before the King and Queen on the upper landing. They were directed to kneel on a couple soft mats placed there for them

The gathering below either saluted or applauded the new Royal family members, some did both.
"My friends and distinguished visitors, please join us for our first meal as a family." The doors to the ballroom opened and the crowd filed in. The Queen put her new sons down with the help of Jurzat and Nurmir. She held one of their hands as they descended the steps and went into the ballroom through a different door that led to the Royal family table where there were six place settings.
The Kaozuno host boys rejoined the remaining scouts, and they all sat at table #1. Mr. Maxwell happy to sit near the rear of the room watching his boys as the center of attention.
Liam and Aiden had trouble eating wearing a crown, it kept trying to fall off. The family had more practice and it wasn't an issue. Jurzat told them they could take them off, but to put them back on as soon as they were finished eating.
Lunch ended after several courses and a few formalities. Then the guests finally departed. Liam and Aiden were given the gold boxes their breast-plates arrived in so they could be stored away. Another box that cradled their crowns was also presented, and the scarves were placed inside with the crowns. The boxes were carefully stored aboard the King's shuttle.
"Ready for some fun," Jurzat asked his new brothers. The hosts, scouts, Mr. Maxwell and the King's aid all boarded KK1 for the short flight to the amusement park.
The entrance to the park had a long banner with many characters in the native language, the universal translators read the banner as `Kaozuno Fun Park'. Arriving at the park, KK1 was allowed to land right next to registration. At registration you are issued a wristband. It transmits your age, height and weight, and experience level. Jurzat registered the visitors as `novices', he and all his friends were `experienced'. That designation would determine how much pain you might have to endure in Kill `em All land.
The first theme area just inside the entrance was for young children, deemed the Little Kid Zone.
Inside were the tamest of the tame games. They had old-time pinball games, and lanes where you could roll a ball into a target, the higher your score, the more tickets you earned. It was called Bowling For Prizes. They had The Claw where you moved a mechanical claw and tried to grab prizes. There were video walls for games like Tetris, Lemmings, and Pac-Man.
"Aren't these all games from Earth's mid twentieth century?" Braxton asked.
"Yes! We didn't have video games until our first trip to earth in your 2001, and discovered video gaming for the first time. Our explorers collected games, and books, and anything related to the industry. Many of those games have been converted into interactive activity areas, here in the park."
Jurzat stopped them there, and had them play a game of Pac-Man. They wondered why and Jurzat only said, "You'll see. You'll need to know how to play this game later." The boys humored him and learned how to play the old Pac-Man video game, it's a simple game from three hundred sixty years ago.
One area in the little Kid zone had an Angry Birds game where you launch dummy birds via a giant sling-shot at targets trying to knock them down. The group didn't stop at any other games in this section, just passed through so the scouts could see the area. The area was overrun with kids the size of the girls from this morning and smaller.
"The trove of material our explorers brought back has some books on carnival rides. This area is based on those books."
They saw Merry-go-rounds, Tilt-a-Twirl, roller coasters, Ferris Wheel, fun house, and mid-way games like Milk Bottle Knockdown, Ring Toss, Bust-a-Balloon, Water Gun Race, and Basketball Free Throw.
Again, tame stuff, but the little kids in there looked to be having a good time.
As they walked through the various areas of the park, the games got more challenging, more intense, and with more consequences. There was a real pinball game. Not a table game you stood behind, but one where 6 kids at a time take seats inside clear balls and are strapped in. Only the exterior of the ball rolls, so the player remains upright. Inside the game all six are released and begin rolling, hitting bumpers and racking up points, large spinning paddles bat the balls to keep them moving. Highest score wins the game.
In Gran Turismo you drove the car from the driver's seat, not with a remote. If you crashed, your car might fly apart, if you hit someone else, that was a penalty and you got a shock through your seat.
They did Gran Turismo, to get the scouts ready for the next activity area.
The entourage with the scouts and their escorts, including the King's sons, had front-of-the-line passes and quickly moved from ride to ride, skipping the lines with ten-to-forty-five-minute wait times. No one in line seemed to object when the King's family and guests got priority treatment. Games that on earth that were only played on video screens; here on Kaozuno, were played in real life with you right in the middle of the action.
"Remember I told you that you need to know how to play Pac-Man? We're here." In this Pac-Man game, they were the yellow dude running through a full-size maze trying to collect the all the dots, energizers and fruit. Then when the monsters, Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde turn blue, they tried to catch them. When the monsters got them, they died a horrible death, well not really, but they got a jolt of electricity that lets you know you've been killed by a holographic monster.
Next, they went to `Escaping the Mob', where they drove a car through a simulated city while being chased by the mob. While the mobsters tried to stop them, they try to run down the holographic projections of them. If they were successful, the mobster screamed while dying. If they crashed, they died, receiving a significant electrical shock to simulate their death. When the mobster caught them, They still died but the shock was a lower voltage, but lasted longer because the mob tortures you before they kill you.
At Resident Evil, they formed commando team that had to break into `the hive,' a vast underground genetics laboratory operated by the powerful Umbrella Corporation. There, a deadly virus has been unleashed, killing the lab's personnel and resurrecting them as the evil Un-dead. The team had to shut down the lab's supercomputer and close the facility before the virus threatens to overrun Kaozuno. They had to kill the zombies or be killed. When that happened, they got a nasty jolt that felt like their skin was being eaten."
These were the only three the group played before moving on.
This was the largest section of the park and was solely ground-style war games. You were given a suit and a helmet when you entered the area. The suit had air bags that protected you if you should fall or be knocked down. The helmet tries to protect your head. Dying in any of the games hurts, they warn you when you first arrive, and given the right amount of electricity, you'll probably pee when it happens.
Inside were several different games. In each one, you didn't have an avatar, you were IN the game holding weapons and firing them yourself. The concussions from explosions around you, rocked you and at times knocked you down. You could feel the recoil of the weapon as you fired. If you got hit, a jolt of electricity fired in to you around the hit. If you died, it was more than a jolt of electricity, you went stiff and many would pass out briefly. There were cities partially destroyed, that you and your team had to run missions through. Think Minecraft, Halo, Doom, and Call of Duty.
They stayed in `Kill `Em All' the rest of the afternoon and ate dinner in a "bombed-out" themed restaurant in the private party room which had been reserved for the Royal party.
With only two hours left they moved to the next activity area called `Sky Park'. There were tons of rides all related to traveling above the ground.
This was also the location of the 6.5 km (4 mi) tall roller coaster. That was their first stop. On Earth, the ride up the first hill is agonizingly slow. Not here on Kaozuno. The coaster cars took off like they had been launched with a rocket. From the launch the car came to a curve that went straight up. 6.5 km climb in two minutes at 195 km/h (120 m/h). At the top there was a 360° loop into a corkscrew, then the car dove straight down, spiraling around the track leading up. Near the ground a sharp curve took them through several more of the traditional roller coaster features, just a lot faster.
The `Barnstorming' ride was a ride-along where you flew in an early bi-plane. A real one, built from real plans from the second decade of the twentieth century. They must have had a hundred of them as one was always taking off as another was landing. They took you outside the park then let you fly the plane. The pilot even let you bring it in to land, taking the controls only if it looked like you were about to crash. Jackson made his plane do a barrel roll and an inverted loop. He took it straight up into a Tailslide, sliding backward before finally turning into a vertical dive. His pilot was too scared to loosen his grip on the seat ejector handle. Jackson did a horizontal corkscrew coming in for a landing. The pilot had to be taken off the rotation. The only time Jackson had flown such a plane was in a video game. He found it no different in real life, except for the g-forces, which he found `exhilarating'.
One of the coolest rides was `Fighter Jet' where you flew in a reproduction fighter jet along a wire at about 200 km/hr. and tried to shoot down enemy aircraft. All the enemy planes you saw was digital displays on the cockpit around you. But the flying part was real, the shooting also digital. The whole reason for this ride comes at the end. With an enemy on your tail, you attempt to flee, climbing straight up to an altitude of 2 km, but to no avail, as the enemy followed you and destroys your jet. Warnings go off, fire in the cockpit and it gets hot. Eject! Eject! The plane announces. The canopy opens and the pilot (you) is ejected without a parachute, then you freefall back into the park, where you are gently caught with a tractor beam 50 meters above the ground. It takes you to a recovery zone. Some people pass out during the freefall descent, sure that they're going to die.
It seemed like a blink of an eye and their time was up and reminded Jurzat they needed to head to the shuttle.
"No, we're having too much fun. As Prince of Kaozuno and the heir to the throne, I decree that we are staying until 24:00. You can make it up on your next flight segment.
They stayed, much to the chagrin of the adults waiting for them. Security located them through their wristbands. Max got close enough to them and reached out to Mason through his universal translator, asking where they were. Mason sent back that Jurzat decided we're staying until midnight. Max relented and waited in the shuttle, knowing they could make up the time overnight.
They took a park tram back to the registration area and met up with the adults at midnight as they said they would. They departed the park via KK1 at 00:10, it stopped briefly letting the hosts off at the Palace and allowing Aiden and Liam to say good bye to their honorary parents. KK1 returned them to their Star Traveler, the pilot making sure the new symbols of citizenship and royalty were taken aboard the traveler. Fifteen minutes later Jackson was recalculating course and a faster speed. They originally were going to do warp 8, now it's was only slightly higher and he had them on their way to the Omopoleia planetary system.
