Maybe it was his guilt talking because his first and foremost duty was to Junior. At the same time, it was because he needed to make sure that Tu'lek, the only world they had now, was safe for raising a kiddo, no matter how strong an alien baby Junior was. The scene that welcomed him put his anxiety at ease right away. Xeus was holding Junior in his arms and by how focused they both seemed to be, they were mostly likely communicating telepathically. Was that a thing Xenos were born with, or did they have to learn it, the same way humans learned to speak from their parents? So far, Junior's evolution had been rather astonishing. Riordan felt a bit like an overwhelmed parent, who had little idea about what he was doing. "You're back," Xeus said shortly. "Take him." Riordan obeyed right away and had Junior pressed against his naked chest in no time. The little one opened and closed his eyes lazily as he sucked on Riordan's breast. He seemed to be in a state of blissfulness, and that caused his parent to feel like mellowing out inside, as well. It was as if nothing bad had ever happened to him, and Riordan hoped that Junior wouldn't remember the trauma he had been exposed to from the moment he'd been born into the world. "Xeus," he said in a quiet whisper, "what is this whole thing with Jasno?" His father-in-law gave him a short unreadable look. "Xana appears to make decisions on a whim. Very uncharacteristic for a Xeno." "Hush, not so loud," Riordan scolded Xeus and cradled Junior in his arms. "He looks sleepy already. Let's not ruin his nap." "Xenolites are not as fragile as your human progeny," Xeus corrected him and didn't give up on talking in a normal voice. "Speak." "Jasno went to see the high commander to make sure that he's still Xana's bearer. But he can't be that, still. There's no point--" "It was Xana's rash decision that created this inconvenient situation. I assume it is inconvenient for you," Xeus added after a short pause. "Glad to hear that I'm alone in this," Riordan said dryly. He felt a deep need to glare at daddy-in-law, but he was damn sure that a thing like that would simply go right over the guy's head. The effort wasn't worth it. "Just checking, though. Where am I standing right now?" Another strange look from Xeus. "You humans are incomprehensible. It is evident." "What? That I'm standing right here... not actually standing, but sitting--" "You belong to the Lei bloodline," Xeus interrupted him. The big alien was right, after all. He talked too much and tripped over himself. It was better if he took some time to think. Which was just what he planned to do. So, if he was a Lei, did that mean that Xeus would protect him, no matter what the others said? Did his usefulness extend only to what was needed of him to help young Xeus grow to the point he no longer needed to suck milk from a tit? "Even when you're only thinking, you are still tedious," Xeus said suddenly. "Some privacy would be nice," Riordan said, without hiding his annoyance. Xana had kept things from him, or, at least, he'd been evasive as hell, leaving things unsaid. Like this whole mind-reading thing. Ferix had told him it happened only because Riordan didn't do a good job at guarding his thoughts. He tended to trust the good doc if only because he seemed young enough to lack in the usual guile of the species. Or maybe he was going round and round in his mind, seeing no way out. "Express your concern. Be short," Xeus commanded. Riordan sighed, unwilling to hide his annoyance. At the same time, he recalled everything Xeus had done for him. He was holding his baby now because his father-in-law had intervened. "Am I even right to call you my father-in-law?" he asked the first thing that came to him. "The term you use is utter nonsense for Xenos." "What are you to me, then? Like, right now? What's our relationship?" "I just told you. You belong to the Lei bloodline." "As a bearer." "Yes. Because you transferred a part of your genetic profile to Xana's progeny," Xeus explained. He appeared to make an effort to be so patient if the deep frown etched on his face was any indication. "I see. And Jasno?" "Should Xana decide to put an egg inside him, he would be the same as you. Although, your influence on the Xenolite is like nothing our species has ever witnessed in an egg bearer." Riordan watched thoughtfully the baby in his arms. Junior had some milk hanging at one corner of his mouth and his steady breathing confirmed that he was asleep. Without thinking twice, Riordan wipe the white droplet away and his heart grew light as Junior smiled in his sleep and then grabbed his finger with the possessiveness particular to his species. "He has my eyes, and his hair is dark like mine," he said. "But only because the other bearers happened to be blonds with light eyes have their Xenolites turned so similar to you. Don't tell me a basic thing like this has never crossed your mind." "These are only details pertaining to physical appearance. Your genetic contribution is a lot more extensive than this." "Do you mean... is he going to make stupid decisions in his life because of me?" "Another inane thing to say. Put the Xenolite in the tank. He's growing the fastest underwater." Riordan could tell Junior was pretty heavy as he moved gingerly, not wanting to wake him up. Seeing how big his granddaddy was, there was no mistaking in guessing that he would also turn up just as strong. He leaned over the edge and let Junior slide into the water. Without opening his eyes, the boy twisted his tail and curled it around himself as he landed at the bottom. He turned only to witness Xeus watching him with keen eyes. To escape whatever had to come next, he began to babble. "I should see Marn about Jasno. I need my bot back, and when Xana comes out of it, he should be able to return to his home. To me and Junior. And you. Not to that doll face." Xeus appeared to ignore his words altogether. "There is more of you I must inspect." "You know," Riordan tried to argue, "some might say that we're crossing some lines here." "I have no interest of a lewd nature in you. Come lie on the bed. I must extract the substance your body produces and delivers through your chest." "You want to milk me?" Riordan groaned but obeyed nonetheless. Xeus's face looked as if it belonged to a scientist, not a horny snakeman. That was reassuring. After some fiddling around with his chest, daddy-in-law decided that there had to be a better way to do this. "Get on all fours," he ordered. Now, he was really turning into a cow, Riordan thought. The screen between them and the tank where his Xenolite slept was, thankfully, drawn, so there were no unwitting witnesses to his humiliation. Apparently, he had talked too soon because the doors opened with a hiss. Riordan raised his head to see Marn slithering inside. Xeus didn't even turn, which could only meant that they had talked to each other in their usual fashion. Daddy-in-law had obviously omitted to let him know that they were expecting guests. Riordan would have put something on, at least. "You know, if you're going to hold me here like this and talk to each other without letting me hear a thing, I might begin to worry that you're planning to do something nefarious to me," Riordan said. "Riordan," Marn said with a smile and a slight nod. "I am here to observe and nothing more." His Royal Chancellor took a seat across and did exactly that. He started to observe. In the meantime, Xeus caught both of Riordan's nipples and felt them with his fingers. "You might need a bucket," he suggested, meaning it as a joke. "Right away," Marn said lightly. "General, please wait. We could examine the human milk at length if we collect it." It only lasted half a minute for a bot to wheel inside with a rectangular metal tank in its robotic arm. "When can I have my bot back?" he asked directly while Xeus placed the tank underneath him and began pulling at his nipples with eager determination. "When and if Xana decides so," Marn replied. Riordan gasped as the tingling in his nipples intensified. It was maybe Xeus's touch, or his nipples were just that sensitive. The last thing he wanted was to get hard with that sort of audience around, but it wasn't like he had a choice. Soft moans escaped his lips while his father-in-law continued to milk him. He could hear the drops of milk turning into short jets and hitting the bottom of the collecting tank. "But Xana... he might take a while," he whispered, fully aware of the saliva pooling inside his mouth and the tears forming in his eyes. He was aware he was bucking his butt back in an effort to meet something. Hopefully, Xeus wouldn't start penetrating him with his tail while Marn watched. Talking about adding insult to injury. "That bot is not yours," Marn reminded him. "It belongs to Xana." "Don't tell me. Jasno also belongs to Xana. But that guy must have several other bots tending to him." "These are the rules," Marn said. "He has a rather good output, isn't it, general?" "Indeed." Xeus gave Riordan a reprieve and took the tank, along with its content, to Marn. He groaned in exasperation as he watched the two Xenos tasting his milk after dipping their fingers in the tank. There was definitely a muted conversation between those two, because they were incredibly silent otherwise. "I can't be the first human bearer to give milk. What's so special about mine?" he asked, unwilling to just sit there, ass up, and wait for his tits to be mistreated again. At this point, unfortunately for him, it looked like he needed the abuse. There was tension in his chest and it didn't want to go away. It wasn't unpleasant, either; it just made him... horny. Xeus returned with the tank and placed it underneath him again. "Not all human bearers give milk. Quite a few don't," Marn explained. "And, for a while, it wasn't a common occurrence, while we were on Xeno. Things appear to change here, in space. On Tanez, we expect all the bearers to start doing this." "Why?" Riordan felt his ears perking up. Xeus was pulling at his tits, making him close his eyes for a moment and bite his bottom lip. Now, if only he had the courage to ask his daddy-in-law to milk him in another way. "What other way?" "You're reading my mind all the time," Riordan complained. "You weren't supposed to hear that, daddy," he said, putting some venom in his voice. Marn chuckled. "I know it is all a novelty to you, general, but Riordan, as well as many other humans, are very lewd creatures. I believe you should consider milking him in another way, and regularly." Xeus turned slightly towards Marn. And now, for sure, they were talking smack. Oh, they were, Riordan reconfirmed to himself, as Xeus suddenly went for his cock. "Hey, don't," he protested, but he didn't even think he sounded anything else but pleading for the opposite. And then, the final touch. Xeus put his tail inside his ass and worked him violently in both ways. Within seconds, he was crying out and spewing cum out of his cock like there was no tomorrow. He rolled on one side and threw one arm over his eyes. His chest still tingled and his cock still jerked a couple of times. He was a mess in all possible ways. "You can't tell me you don't see the appeal," he heard Marn talking. If they were using speech, they were doing it for his sake. That was a way of saying; he doubted anything these guys did was for anyone else's sake but theirs. And humans just had the luck to be the most compatible species with their kind. Damn, what luck. "Xana must be enthralled with him," Xeus said in a neutral voice. "Young Xenos must be more susceptible to this sort of allure." "Just watch him, Xeus," Marn said, his voice full of innuendos. It was the first time Riordan heard him calling the other Xeno by his name and not `general'. "His body just begs to take another egg." "It totally doesn't," Riordan protested. Marn ignored him. "Our species will not only triumph, it will reach new heights of evolution. The possibilities are dazzling. And we know their bodies can accommodate more than one egg at the time. From different partners." Riordan opened his eyes and stared at His Royal Chancellor. "No, please, I earned my right," he said through his teeth, although he had intended to sound pleading. "Xana and I... we deserve it, after everything we've done." Marn smiled at him. "It is so easy to get a rouse out of you. A most delightful trait, your anger, Riordan. It is optimal for the competitive spirit of our species. I will wait with interest for the evolution of your sons." "I only have the one," Riordan reminded him. "And you must mean, Xana's sons, right?" "We'll see," Marn replied. He was getting up, a sign that his visit was over. "Depending on what happens, I will have to make a decision concerning you. We can't allow such strong human genes to go to waste." "Marn," Riordan said, forgetting that he was supposed to show the proper respect. He clambered out of the bed, falling on the floor first, but then getting up quickly. "No, please," he said as he grabbed Marn by the sleeve of his tunic. "Don't you care about Xana? At all?" To his surprise, Marn patted his head. "Of course, I do. I allow you to be here, with Xana's father. That is not the kind of allowance I offer anyone. But," he added and leaned over to look into Riordan's eyes, "you present such incredible opportunities for the entire Xeno race that I can't simply close my eyes. Don't worry. I will be kind. The first to have you if Xana doesn't recover will be his father." Riordan opened his mouth to say more, but Marn moved away, and he was out of the room before another word came out of him. "Xeus," he said and turned towards his father-in-law, "you can't agree to this. It would break Xana's heart." "His Excellency, as always, makes a fine point. But your distress over this sort of proposition doesn't appeal to me. I will not have you." "At least, you're on my side." "What His Royal Chancellor sees in you is a human meant for carrying eggs because of his strong genes and nothing else." "And what do you see in me?" Riordan asked, without knowing whether he would like the answer or not. "A human who is weak," Xeus replied. "Do you even know how to swim?" "Not particularly well. Wait, you've never said anything... do you happen to know where Tanez is?" Xeus nodded, so shortly that Riordan wondered if he had imagined it. "Tanez has oceans, seas, and rivers. You should learn to adjust to spending part of your days underwater." "My lungs might not agree with this idea of yours." "We'll see." Riordan yelped as Xeus grabbed him and threw him effortlessly into the big water tank. He tried to push himself back to the surface as he quickly reached the bottom, but Xeus came from above and pressed him down. Panic flooded his system and he struggled, his limbs flailing. He kept his eyes open and saw Xeus moving closer until their mouths were pressed together and he could breathe again. The rush of adrenaline began to die down and his arms and legs moved slowly while Xeus continued to keep him there and feed him with the much needed oxygen. Then, Xeus removed his mouth from his, and Riordan felt like he could still continue to breathe. He moved around, seeing so clearly around him, but a part of him still fought to keep from inhaling water into his lungs. Eventually, he had to rush to the surface. To his surprise, Junior was the first to emerge from the water. In the whole mess, Riordan hadn't seen him, but the ruckus must have woken him up. He was grinning and playfully bit on Riordan's forearm, his dark eyes twinkling. "You think that's funny, huh?" Riordan scolded him. "Be careful with those teeth, though." To show that he didn't really mean it, he pressed his forehead against Junior's head. The Xenolite immediately wrapped his arms around his neck and pulled him down with surprising force. Riordan found himself underwater and, this time, he took an involuntary gulp of water through his nose. Nothing happened. No sensation of suffocation, no burning in his lungs. And Junior was swimming around him, bent on playing with him. Riordan had no idea what was happening. Was he running on the breathable air Xeus must have pumped into him earlier? How long would it take to— He felt a pressure in his chest and he struggled again. His flailing limbs took him to the surface and he coughed. Xeus was by his side, along with Junior, perched on his granddaddy's shoulder. The boy was staring at him, looking nothing short of puzzled. "What's going on?" he asked. "You must practice every day," Xeus explained. "And the boy wants to know how come you're his parent if you can't play with him underwater." "Aren't you a sly ass?" Riordan mumbled. "You're using Junior to convince me I should start believing I can breathe underwater. Or am I going to grow gills?" At first, he didn't understand the sound he was hearing. It had to be because he hadn't heard it before. Daddy-in-law was laughing. And Junior, delighted as he seemed by his granddaddy's reaction, began squealing with laughter, too. What a family. Well, people who laughed together stayed together, right? Riordan thought of Xana. His husband would have to come back to life and save him from whatever Marn had in mind for his only true bearer. He had to come back and be part of this, too, part of his son's growing up. tbc If you like this story and want to read a few chapters ahead, you can do so on my SubscribeStar - https://subscribestar.adult/daemon-d-hart You'll also find there 3D renders of my characters, Tasha's story (ongoing), hot short stories, and many other things.
