THE THIRD EMPIRE by Macout Mann IX With Alfius help the prosecutor is quickly able to assemble a massive slate of witnesses. Confronted with the evidence Cato had recorded, the sheriff quickly agrees to implicate a number of other officials. Trials are held, convictions obtained, restitution made to those who have been scammed. It is proved that the whole scheme was the brainchild of the Commissioner of Homeland Security. Crucifixion is not permitted in the Third Empire, although many ancient Roman customs have been reinstated. In fact, capital punishment was abolished toward the end of the twenty-first century. So the commissioner is given life on Devils Island, the infamous French prison which the empire has resurrected. All the others indicted are given lesser sentences, although most all prisoners will die before their terms end. Malnutrition and mistreatment are rampant. Rape is encouraged. Murders are seldom investigated. The government feels that incarceration costs should be kept down. Prison at best is not the place to be. As soon as all the suspects have been arrested, the material witnesses are released. Flavius insists that Lucius be allowed to remain at the mansion. Lucius father does not object and Lucius is overjoyed. By his own admission he is a "crude fatherfucker," but he is personable and smart. The interns all like him and to Flavius he has become a real friend and boon companion. By the end of the trials he is an accepted member of the household. The news media in Suriname have a field day with the story. Alfius becomes the hero of the piece. "He bravely contacted a high-ranking member of Securitas," the stories read. It would not do to have Flavius' activities made public. Outside the province there is no news of the crime or the trial. The government does not want to give other officials ideas. In Washington the establishment is very much aware of everything that has been going on. Even Emperor Obamus has taken an interest. If such a thing happened in little Suriname, could it not be happening elsewhere? Flavius petitions his father to make Lucius an intern. His father points out that Lucius is ineligible by birth. Sons of working men cannot intern, unless they have achieved superior standing in school. And superior means really superior. Flavius insists that the emperor can make an exception, if Quintus will petition him. Quintus finally agrees. He pleads that special consideration be given because of Lucius role in uncovering the recent crimes. He receives permission to make Lucius an intern. Lucius is not sure that he wants to accept the honor. "I love living here with you guys," he tells them, "but I don't know if I'm up to becoming a `swell,' like you bastards. I want to be me." "You stupid son-of-a-bitch," Claudius responds. "We want you to be our mate because you are you." "Couldn'ta said it better myself," Flavius echos. Alfius is agreeable, so Lucius becomes a permanent member of the governor general's household. Playtime is now much easier since there are now an even number of playmates permanently in the quarters. John still has designs on getting Gaius into the quarters for at least one night. He suggests to the governor that the boys may be in danger of abduction. Perhaps Gaius could be assigned to guard them. Quintus is no fool, but because of his fondness for John, he has the corporal assigned just once supposedly "to test out the usefulness of the plan." Gaius knocks on the door of the boys' quarters. "Reporting as ordered," he says and takes his position in the hallway. John opens the door and pulls the corporal into the room. "We didn't get you here for you to stay in the hall," he declares. "You're here to fuck and get fucked." "What if the sarge comes to inspect?" Gaius asks. "He won't," John is certain. "Governor's orders." Quickly Gaius uniform is stripped off and all six teens are also naked. "Neat," Sextus says. "I've never had a Marine dick before. Or a Marine ass." He immediately fondles Gaius jewels. Gaius is unsure how to proceed. Sensing his discomfort, Flavius gets behind him and tweaks his nipples as he presses his body against the corporal's. "Just relax, man. Do what comes naturally," he whispers. Soon Gaius has his tool happily buried in Sextus' mouth and Flavius fingers are penetrating the Marine's anus. "I wanted to be first," John complains. "You and he have been together before," Flavius says. "Now, you gotta just wait your turn." Gaius gains more confidence. "I want that ass," he tells Sextus. Sextus leans over the edge of a bed and takes first Gaius tongue and then his bone up his rear. Flavius takes the opportunity to replace his fingers with his own rod. The remaining four interns are torn between watching scene unfolding before them and getting it on themselves. Lucius and Sabinius choose to watch. Claudius and John to sixty-nine. Gaius' watch proceeds as John had planned. Enough cum is spilled to impregnate half the girls in Suriname, if it were to be spilled in the right places. After John finally gets his wish to have Gaius' dick, while the other five exhausted teens watch the Marine's manly performance, John announces that he plans to make a career of the military. And before Gaius puts his uniform back on and takes his leave, the boys all agree that they need Gaius' protection again soon. That is not to be, however. Quintus gets word that he is to be promoted. He will head a special intelligence cadre designed to uncover possible corruption elsewhere, conspiracies like that which he has uncovered in Suriname. He and his family will return to the states. And because of their involvement in the Suriname case, all six of the interns will be reassigned to participate in his new enterprise. From the tropics they all will go to Omaha, Nebraska, not the coldest place in the Forty-eight contiguous states, but nearly so. Omaha was the place from which the republic had directed its strategic efforts to combat the nuclear threat from the Soviet Union over two centuries earlier. The empire didn't often build new facilities when older ones could be repurposed. Quintus wife is not pleased. Although his new post is a significant promotion, the position doesn't carry with it the grandeur of being the governor general of a province however small. "Nicer to be a big fish in a smaller pond," she told her husband. "If I make a go of this," Quintus says, "I might become governor general of a European province. Big fish in a big pond." First the family and the interns go to Washington, where Quintus will be briefed. Flavius delights in showing the sights to the interns. He also introduces them to some of the seedier locales in what is still officially known as The District of Columbia. "May as well have fun while you can," he tells them. "You have no idea what Omaha has to offer." "I've never been anyplace I couldn't get fucked," John responds. The rocketplane makes the thousand mile trip from Washington to Offutt Airbase outside Omaha in little more than a half-hour. Offutt is where the Quintus intelligence unit will be headquartered, but the family and the interns will be housed in a gated enclave for senior officials in nearby Bellevue. A commodious 4,200 square foot home has been prepared for them, more than sufficient for their needs but a third the size of the mansion in Suriname. The boys will sleep three-to-a-room in adjacent bedrooms. They decide they'll draw lots each month to see who will bunk together. Not that it matters a whole lot. Flavius, Claudius, and Lucius are happy to start out together. In the other room will be Sabinius, Sextus, and John. Once they are settled in, the boys head for the clubhouse on the premises. It has a pool, exercise facilities, tennis and handball courts, game rooms, a lounge, dining room, and snack bar. There is a larger club with a golf course on the base. Once there they take a swim, enjoy a steam bath, and head for the bar. There they encounter a boy their age, whom they discover is the son of the commander of the base rocket squadron. "Hello," he says. "You guys must be with the new intelligence group. I'm Publius Willingham." Flavius takes the lead and introduces himself and the interns. Publius invites them to join him and tells them something about the area. First he asks John, "Are you from around here? You don't sound like it." "No," John answers, "I'm a Brit, but I was born in Cameroon. My dad is a public servant. Why do you ask?" "Because of your name," Publius replies. "People around here are very independent. They shun Roman names. Or else make fun of them. I know of one dude named Fukius." Publius is a very handsome lad, about six feet four with an attractively t-shaped build. He has yellowish blond hair and stylish two-day growth of beard. Both his top and his cutoff are tightly fitted. It is apparent that his equipment is more than ample. He tells them about the military organizations around Omaha. Offutt is still the major air facility in the states. There are secondary ones in California and Alabama just in case. Here, there is his father's squadron. Its mission is to annihilate areas of the world where major rebellions may arise. Its rockets are unmanned, but launched and controlled from Omaha. The other command here is the Drone Brigade. It has unmanned aerial units all over the globe, any of which may be controlled by airmen here in Omaha. Its mission is to put an end to minor insurrections by targeting its leaders. There is much less space required now than for the missions when the base was built in the mid-twentieth century, so many other government activities now use the base. "There's lots to do around here," Publius continues. "The Midwest is the only place outside the Southeast where American Football is more popular than Football. Some of us are going to the game between Nebraska and Michigan tomorrow. Maybe you guys would like to come too. We'll have to go down to Lincoln where the stadium is." "We don't have any duties," Flavius says. "And I don't have to do ceremonial shit with my dad anymore, so what d'ya say, guys?" "Sure," the others respond. The plans are made. John couldn't hold back. "Do the airmen like to get together with the likes of us?" he asks. "Are they dudes?" Publius responds. "You'll find a lot of old religion types around town, but what the hell? Right here in the club there are private dining rooms for two or more. You wanna reserve one for right now, John?" "Shit yeah!" John answers.
