Date: Wed, 23 Jun 2021 14:27:49 +0000 (UTC) From: cgf2662 Subject: The Z1 Ranch P -- 80 The Z-1 Ranch P-80 CGW© Ben stopped by Max and Jericho's place. Mr. Ben please come inside and welcome to our home as humble as it may be offered Jericho. Let me get you a cool water to drink and I'll tell Max that you're here. Jericho don't go out of your way, I just decided to stop by and talk to you and Max about Jarvis. Don't worry everything is okay I have a little plan up my sleeve and it concerns the three of you. Yes Mr. Ben, I'll be right back. Max was in the living room in two seconds. Is my father okay he's not sick, is he? No Max your father is not sick, but I do worry about him. He works so hard at the house keeping everything in order even with Franklin around Jarvis still doesn't want to relax. So, I have come up with a plan and you two are a very important part of that plan. Jericho sat down beside his mate in the two listened to Mr. Ben. Max, I need you and Jericho to take some time away. I am sending the three of you to the oceanfront. You will take your father with you. A little time away and a lot of relaxation will do him good and it couldn't hurt the two of you either. The house is ready for you, I've had the neighbors open and air it out and they are expecting your arrival. Plus, there's little added bonus. You get to see Rico; he doesn't know anything about this visit and you will not call him before your arrival do I make myself perfectly clear. The young man is at a point in his life that he needs his elders. Not his parents but his elders. I do believe that this visit will help Jarvis put his life and his family in perspective. The main house in our family have been his total concentration for years. But he is needed by his family now more than ever, and I think the visit will do everyone a world of good. Not a word to Franklin or Micki about where you are headed. The only thing they need to know is y'all were given a vacation and you are taking Jarvis for some much-needed time off he works too damn hard. It's about time he enjoyed life, you and your father have missed too much in life together. And I'll be damned if you miss this, Rico doesn't know he needs his family, when a boy comes a certain age in life even though he's independent, he needs his family now more than ever before. Jericho looked concerned, is Rico okay sir? Rico is fine he just needs his family near him, he's got some decisions about the future in his life that he needs to start making. Having his elders around will help him make some difficult choices. You know he is scheduled to return soon to the Z1 and make a determination about his future. Maybe having you around will help him. Tomorrow morning at 6 AM the transit will stop in front of the Z1's main gate, Lester will be there waiting for everyone, so try not to be late. Maximilian you can come by and inform your father that there is a trip planned tomorrow and he will be on the transit if you have to hogtie him. He has the next three weeks off and will not be on the Z1 while he is off work. If he says anything tell him to talk to Mr. Ben because it's his orders, he has a mandatory vacation. Yes Mr. Ben I understand, I will go speak to my father at the end of his shift. I will inform him that he needs to pack. This is not an option and it is not up for discussion. I know he's going to be pissed, but the trip can do him good. After we are on our way and you have disconnected his communications device, I will inform him that we are going to the oceanfront and while there we will see Rico. That sounds fantastic, Max that is the best plan ever. I will have Ty disrupt Jarvis's communicator. I have other devious plans to do, so goodbye you to and enjoy your trip. Everything is stocked at the house and everything else is prepaid for the trip all you have to do is enjoy yourselves. And pack some nice stuff to you might get invited out to the neighbors for lunches or barbecues plus there's always the beach. At the end of day Max came by to see his dad. Dad we need to talk, and you need to listen to me please. Jarvis took a seat on the bench next to the door the main corridor. What is on your mind son and what is it that troubles you so much. No dad it doesn't trouble me, but I don't want any flack out to you either. You need to go up to your room and pack your trunk. We are going on a little trip off the Z1, you are going to be a guest of mine and Jericho's. We will be gone three weeks from the ranch. The trip has been taking care of and the main house will be taken care of by Franklin while you are gone. This is a vacation that you are to attend, is not an option so do not even think about objecting to it. Jarvis looked at his son and saw the intent in his face and eyes, well with that kind of speech I don't feel there's much of a chance to get out of it. So, if you'll follow me to my quarters, you can help show me what kind of attire I will need to pack for the trip. After the week I've had dealing with Zachariah and young Kris, I deserve every day I can get. Plus, it will give us more time to be around each other as father and son. Maximilian hugged his dad; if I don't tell you enough, I love you sir. I know you do and I love you too. So, we need to make the most of the time that we have with one another. Let's go. Max helped Jarvis pack clothing for all occasions in several different climates. Jarvis was getting excited about the trip. Oh, I need to tell Franklin a few things before I leave. Dad leave that up to Mr. Ben, he will address my son and tell him all that is needed. And what is not his business, he will be told so. Jarvis scratched his head, sounds like Ben had his finger on this little vacation. Remind me to pick up something nice for him. Yes, dad not a problem, we have to be waiting at the main gate at 6 AM for departure. So, were we going to my son? No, you don't it is a surprise and an adventure. You just have to wait and find out. The next morning 6 AM straight up were waiting at the front gate with luggage and toe. Lester was not late and Francis was riding along with him for well-deserved trip. Lester put the luggage in the under-Carry and Francis had breakfast snacks and fresh coffee available. Jarvis attempted to get Francis to tell them where they were going. Not on your best day, these lips are sealed I'm not saying anything other than would you like cream and sugar with your coffee. I have fresh sweet rolls and doughnuts also available along with the normal complement of breakfast sandwiches. So don't think you going to get any information. Jarvis grumbled and said he would take a coffee with one cream and two sugars along with the fresh sweet role since they were made by Francis. The trip started without a hitch. After almost 10 hours of travel Lester topped the hill and entered the seaside community. He pulled up and parked in front of Chuck's diner. Okay folks first stop, were going to get out here, eat a nice meal meet some fine people and you might even get ready to dip your toes in the ocean. There are accommodations for the evening and then tomorrow we will be continuing on with our journey. Max stepped off the transit followed by Jericho and they both helped Jarvis who was a little stowed up from the ride. The three entered the diner just as a young man was coming out of the kitchen carrying some plates. He was looking down and not paying attention. Okay folks be with you in just a minute let me get these plates carried out to the other customers and I'll be right with you. Rico looked up and saw his grandparents and great grandfather standing directly in front of him. He dropped the plates that he was carrying. Another young man come out of the kitchen, dammit babes I told you it was too heavy for you to try to carry in your condition you're not supposed to do it. Rusty looked at Rico and realized something was very wrong. Excuse me folks we don't want any trouble, if you want food have a seat, I will clean this mess up. And I'll make sure that Rico sits down in the back and doesn't carry anything too heavy. Typical hardheaded Genman, he won't listen to anybody much less the father of his child. Max looked at Rico, boy is this the truth that this man speaks. You have been made heavy with his child? Rusty had a sudden fear come over him. Oh, shit who the fuck is this? Maximilian; do not scare the poor boy half to death, introduce yourself to the young human. Yes, dear replied Max. Young man I would like to introduce myself, my name is Maximilian I am Rico's grandfather this is his granddad Jericho and his great-grandfather Jarvis. Max extended his hand. Rusty put out his hand and offering. My name is Rusty, and I fear that we should have met sooner. But someone is terrified of his father and would not allow anyone to be called. Jarvis broke the ice when he walked up to Rico and placed his arms around him. Congratulations my boy, you are carrying the next generation for us. If you weren't so big, I'd take you over my knee and whip your ass with my shoe. This time of life is when a Genman needs his family the most. Rico broke down in tears, I didn't mean for it to happen. I know I was supposed to save myself for Jordan, but it happened with Rusty and I. We were friends and that was it, then one day it happened and I conceived the child that I now carry. Jordan and I broke up a while back, I did not have the nerve to tell you that we had parted ways. Rusty was there for me during my dark times. We tried not to get involved, but the heart wants what a heart wants. But there's so much more to this than you realize. Is the child okay, is it healthy and have you had medical care? The baby is fine it's growing fine I had a checkup last week, that's one thing Rusty is always after me about. No one at the ranch except two people knows. And I fear that's why you are here. Jericho smiled, well now there is five people from the Z1 that know about this boy. We could use some new blood in the family commented Jarvis, you are carrying the first hybrid in our family's history. He will be well accepted or there will be hell to pay. Can we slowdown there something else I need to say. Everyone took a seat as Rusty stood beside Rico supporting him. We found out yesterday the baby is fine, and we have chosen name. I contemplated on putting the child up for adoption because of everything that's gone on. Even though Rusty has told me no not under any circumstance, would his child would be placed for adoption. I'm about two months from delivery at best. Dr. Caleb wants him at the Z1, his weight is too much, his pressure is up and when I'm not gonna talk about his blood sugar. All the late-night sweets he sneaks. Maybe you can help, after all you are family. You know we can't go anywhere, Tom and Chuck need help with this diner, I have my regulars and without me they wouldn't get fed. Well, what are you gonna name him inquired Max? Well grandfather, the name I picked out is Francine. Everyone was a little confused, Jericho responded that's a hell of a name to give a boy, Francine? Jarvis busted out laughing, you nincompoop. Did you not hear Rico, not only is the child the first hybrid in our family's history but he is expecting a girl? Francine is a girl's name. Jericho dropped his coffee, Max busted out laughing. Your father is going to have a meltdown, your dad he will just straight up die. So, you named it after your father, Francine for a girl. I thought about naming it Maxine but Rusty has an aunt by that name and she's a real bitch. So, I'm sorry grandfather. That's fine with me, Francine is perfect. You know how it gets under your father's skin, when he does something dumb and I call him Franny. Max, I warned you about that, Franklin is self-conscious enough about his name, without you making fun of it. I know but is just harmless fun, kid never could take a joke. Rico your father has no sense of humor I think he was born that way, had a stick up his butt since the day he came out. Rico started to laugh and he held his stomach. Jarvis walked up and placed his hand upon Rico's swollen abdomen. You have done this family proud, here away from home away from everyone. You grew up to be your own person, met a nice man fell in love and the two of you have started a new bloodline. So, what is the child's last name? Mr. Jarvis, I grew up in orphanage never knew my parents never knew my real name, one of the sisters gave me the name Rusty Numen because she kept on complaining that I grew rusty spots around my neck because I wouldn't bathe enough as a child. So, I went by Rusty my entire life. Well Rusty Numen, welcome to the Spinelli family. Wow for a little girl she kicks hard remarked Jarvis. So, who's going to do the cooking I'm hungry. I'm on vacation, I'm not serving anyone. Rico laughed; I may be too big to serve but I can still cook. And it would be my honor to cook for the three of you, I hope you don't mind Rusty serving you because he is going to have to get used to waiting on me hand and foot after this baby comes. The doctor warned him to return to the Z1 to birth, but Mr. hardhead over here wanting to wait until the last second, he doesn't want to go back and embarrass his family since he left out of there all fine and trim but he's coming back all swollen up. I told him it's nothing to be embarrassed about, he's beautiful just the way he is. And I hope you like him like this, because we're going to have plenty as long as it's safe for him and the babies. Somebody has to beat his grandparents record so why shouldn't it be us. Rico looked at looked at Rusty and pointed a finger, okay Mr. Studley Mc Stud just keep it in your pants. We're going to take our time having them nice and slow. Jarvis interjected; Raising hybrid children is not like raising purebloods, they tend to have certain characteristics about them that are aggravated by normal foods, such as sugar or sweet items. They may seem nice on the outside to a lot of people and a novelty, but believe me the main house is being terrorized by one young hybrid by the name of Kris. In fact, that's why I am here resting on vacation between that boy and his father their both hellions. Zachariah was always a wild child and it seems that he is going through his second childhood since Kris was born. But that's enough about work we're here to relax but there's no time we have to leave tomorrow. Max started to chuckle; father just to let you know Lester and Francis are leaving in the morning and we are to stay here in the beach house that belongs to Mr. Ben. You know the one that Mr. Zach gave him as a gift. And we will be here for three weeks. I can deal with that, just hope Franklin survives. Between the news of him becoming a grandfather and a young Kris it's gonna be hell on him. So, Rico please take me to the kitchen and show me around and see how good you really are in the kitchen. Yes, grandfather Jarvis, if you don't mind, I take a little longer because I'm so damn big and I'm only just starting my 7th month. Babes like I told you, you're not big, you are beautiful and I love every bit of you. Let's go to the kitchen and show your great-grandfather where we create magic for people to consume. Max looked at Jericho, do they remind you of someone else, once upon a time. Yes, they do, it's like looking into a mirror. No sooner than they had walked into the kitchen Jarvis looked at the young couple. I'm only gonna tell the two of you this one time, if Dr. Caleb says you need to be at the ranch, then you will have your ass at the ranch. He does not play around when it comes to babies. Plus, even though you may live here and raise him here the Z1 will always be his home. We will not say a word to anyone other than Mr. Ben regarding the transport. May I ask what happened to Zion? Standing on the stage during a broadcast introducing his intended to the world. How did the parents take that one? Your father did very good, your dad the ever drama queen took it as a personal assault on him. Three days he had to go to bed, missed most of Zion's visit. And little Augustus, that boy is smart and very well mannered. His grandfather is helping raise him along with his Claxon his dad. Zion is over the top in love. So, your brother is doing fine, are you going to call him and let him know about Francine and Rusty? Grandfather Jarvis, I want to tell him but I'm afraid of what he might think of me. Zion and I haven't always been close, I used to give him hell about playing the piano. And look at me now cooking for a crowd every day swollen and large with a child. That's okay, when we are young, we are dumb. Maturity brings a lot of changes, go ahead and call him and introduce Rusty to him first. Tell him that we will be back at the Z1 until you deliver after I've had my vacation for three weeks. Baby or no baby I am going to enjoy my stay here at the oceanfront. Rico and Jarvis were closer than ever, Rusty could see how much Jarvis loved his family. Rico told him all about what happened in the past and how the family had finally made it back together. Maybe this baby could make the bonds even stronger. Jarvis figured out that his communicator had been disconnected. Max handed over I'm calling Mr. Ben I have a plan. Max did not dawdle when it came to handing his father the communications device. Jarvis dialed Ben's number and walked outside to speak to him. After 30 or so minutes Jarvis walked back in and handed Max's communicator back to him and thanked him for the use. Everything has been arranged, and before you ask don't worry about it, I have handled it. And just let you know my communications device is still disconnected and will be for the duration of the visit and your number has been blocked from certain individuals on the ranch. It's about time we had peace and quiet. On the final day Rico was getting blue, he loved the oceanfront and he loved the diner. But he was starting to miss the Z1. Just for a visit, not to live there full-time, his life was here with his newfound family. Jarvis looked at his watch a couple of times. Father why are you checking your watch? We have plenty of time before the transit is scheduled to arrive this afternoon. Max, don't worry about me I have everything under control just wait about 10 minutes. Everyone the diner was startled little when the roar of an air speeder came by and it was low. Would you look at that remarked Jarvis, right on time. Chuck could you and Tom come here for a second. I have a parting gift for the two of you. Chuck and Tom had no idea what was going on much less why an air speeder would be landing next to the diner. I know that you to depend on Rico and Rusty, and you know the doctor would like for Rico to be at the Z1 to birth his first. I called in a favor, the Z1 has a competent kitchen staff so I arranged for assistant chef and a recently graduated culinary student to replace them until Rico and Rusty return with the baby. I hope this is pleasing to you both. Chuck was speechless, Tom busted out laughing for the first time in a long time he has nothing to say. But I'll gladly accept your offer and maybe these old codgers living here in the community can learn a little bit of culture. Now Rico can cook great he makes some delicious meals but stepping it up would also be nice. Jarvis turned around to Rico, now young man you have no excuses. I can't go back, what will I tell them. Rusty spoke up for the first time, you tell them surprise. Your home for a visit and to birth their first grandchild, and they if send you away they do not deserve to get to know their grandchild. Jericho spoke up; if your dad starts any of his bullshit, I'm going to whip his ass and your father will not get in my way if he knows what's best for him. And if you don't mind, start on something to eat, your grandfather and I are starving and y'all are back here chitchatting. Within a few minutes Rico and Rusty had a very nice meal prepared and Rusty carried it out front to the tables. Excuse me people Rusty announced; the kitchen will have a slight delay, Rico's grandparents and great grandfather are here for a final visit. If you can't wait until they have their meal and they visit with him then you need to go back home and go back to bed. Nobody was in a hurry; they were all sad to see Rico and Rusty getting ready to leave the diner. But everyone also understood that Rico needed to be at the Z1 for his final months so that he could have his first child in a familiar setting with his family nearby. The speeder had begun to unload supplies for the chef, ever going about their business getting everything set up in the kitchen. The pilot sat down at the counter and Tom poured him a fresh cup of coffee. Chuck made small talk. Rico was beginning to get upset and a tear rolled down his cheek. Now there won't be any of that right now, we are only going for a birth and a visit. This is our home, when we return, we will have new quarters. The lower section apartment of Mr. Ben's place will be ours to raise our daughter. All the goodbyes were said; and everyone boarded the air speeder. The pilot fired up the engines and it slowly lifted up; precious cargo was on board. The flight was very nice and it didn't take no time to reach the Z1, Rico was still apprehensive what his father might say. Jarvis took his hand; do not worry young man your father is no fool. Your dad on the other hand he can be in idiot along with the drama queen. Franklin had been notified that the air speeder was coming home with his parents and his grandfather to please meet it at the landing pad. An always immaculate Franklin was standing waiting on the speeder to land. Ben and Zach watch from a small distance as the speeder gently sat down. The door on the speeder opened in the last two steps came down. Maximilian was the first one out and he helped Jericho exit the speeder. Jarvis was the next one to come off the speeder and a usually composed Franklin stepped up and hugged his grandfather's neck. Oh, wait a minute we forgot somebody we have three more people on board. Franklin had no idea who he was talking about, Jarvis walked back to the stairs and asked the next person to please exit the vehicle. Franklin was confused, the individual who exited the vehicle was obviously a young human male. My dear grandson please meet Rusty Newman he came back with us and he brought someone along with him. All Franklin could see was a set of legs as the last person walked down the stairs. Rusty held his hand out to help steady the other person, the next portion of come into view was a severely swollen abdominal area. When the persons face came into view Franklin was in shock. Rico, is that really you? Yes father; it's really me well me and our child. Who just happens to be your first grandchild? Franklin couldn't speak, all he could to was hug his son. Franklin broke into tears when the baby kicked him. Why did you not tell us? I can't believe you are pregnant. Yes sir, I am seven months pregnant exact. this young man here with me is my husband. Under the new laws we were able to be married. Father meet your son-in-law his name is Rusty Numen, and this little bundle of energy is your new grandchild Francine but you can call it Franny. Franklin had a questionable look on his face, Francine is a girl's name? That's right father she is going to be your first grandchild Francine Caroline Newman. Dr. Caleb wanted me here for birthing, and I didn't have a choice, grandfather Jarvis said that she had to be born here. Franklin hugged his son once again; he was so proud of Rico. Let's go into the main house I think this study is available so you can sit down. I called your dad but he's having one of his pity parties again today. Ben picked up his communicator and dialed Micki's extension. Micki picked up and said how can I help you in a snotty tone. You can help me by getting your ass to the main house right now this is not an option you will report. Franklin is here waiting with a guest. Micki came in the back entrance, there was no doubt he was a pissy mood. He was shown to the reading room where everyone was waiting. He saw Rico and he smiled but when Rico stood up and he saw that he was with child, Micki pulled one of his fainting spells. Jarvis stood up and walked past Micki and picked up a pitcher of ice water and dumped it directly on his face. Micki sputtered and set up. Today is not about you, so cut the drama crap and welcome your son home along with his husband and their child to be. That is unless you want your ass whipped. A totally dejected Micki stood up and attempted his best welcome home son that he could possibly muster up. Rico went to hug his dad but it was not returned. Dad I am here to birth my first child and your first grandchild, either you can be part of her life or not I do not care one way the other. But you will not disrespect this family in the main house. So, either straighten your bullshit ass up or go back to the house, don't make me get grandfather Jarvis a hold of you. Micki straightened up as much as he could and put on a happy face. Ben was not going to put up with Micki's crap, not meaning to put a damper on the festivities here but I need to inform your dad of an assignment that he has. Micki starting Monday you will report to the marketplace in the Township. You will be working the vegetable counters, loading and unloading the produce for customers. You will work Monday through Saturday 8 AM till 5 PM. You will take your lunch from 11 AM to 11:30 AM at the diner next door, it comes with the new job. Do yourself a favor do not be late. It was at that point Micki realized he had royally fucked up with Mr. Ben. Everyone did a small meet and greet, Ben walked over to Micki. You will start showing your son respect. He and his mate Rusty are married under the new law, he is carrying your first grandchild so you need to start acting like a grandparent instead of a spoiled little bitch. Keep it up and you won't be working at the marketplace, you will be picking the vegetables in the fields so straighten up. Franklin was severely disappointed in his mate, he had embarrassed the family in front of the owners, the same people who lend them their name. Max walked over to his son, Franklin now is the time that you and your spouse sit down at home. You need to take care of this before it gets out of control and causes damage. Yes father, when we get home all hell is going to break out. I have always let him be his own person but since he cannot even show respect to his son and our new son-in-law who are expecting our first granddaughter there will be no redemption for that. Jericho walked up to his son, you can yell and you can tell him everything in the world but remember my son we never raise our hand in anger against our spouse. That doesn't mean you can't throw them over your knee and tear that ass up with your shoe. But no hands shall be laid upon him in anger causing injury. Dad I know exactly what you mean, it is going to be hard not to slap the hell out of him. But I understand what has to be done. After the meet and greet it was decided that Rico and Rusty would stay Max and Jericho for a few days, at least until things settled down at home. Micki couldn't wait to get out of the main house and headed directly home, he was soon followed by Franklin. When Franklin entered the house, Micki lit into him in a rage. I don't give a damn where they stay but I'll be damned if they'll stay in this house. I do not have Put up a human in my home they are vile filthy creatures, and your son went out and laid with one and now carries his offspring. As far as I'm concerned Rico is through in this house, I will not have him are the little abomination that he carries in his body in my house at all they are not welcome. Franklin stood there looking at his made of many years, he really never knew Micki at all. Franklin didn't say a word just went to the bedroom, in a few minutes he returned to the living room with a bag that was packed. Oh Mr. Big man of few words, so you think you're just going to walk out on me. It's gonna cost you dearly. Franklin walked up to Micki; I'm not going anywhere your ass on the other hand will be leaving here now. I'm not going anywhere; you have lost your damn mind. Just who in the hell do you think you are trying to stand up to me. The next action was done so fast that it caught Micki off guard, Franklin walked past him and grabbed him by the shirt collar and yanked him backwards so that he fell on his ass. Franklin kicked open the screen door suitcase in one hand and dragging a screaming and hollering Micki by the other. He reached the front gate kicked it off the hinges through the suitcase in the middle the street and slung Micki out across the pavement. I have finally come to my senses; you are no longer welcome in this house Micki. You can find another place to live but you will never live in this house again. My children are always welcome in their family home, you nor anyone else will ever deny them the right to stay under this roof. And as far as our grandchildren are concerned you needn't worry about them whatsoever because they do not need you in their life. If you know what's best for you do not show your face ever again around me because you're not welcome in my life. Franklin turnaround and walked back to the house closing the door behind him firmly. A surprised and totally humiliated Micki was left sitting in the street with a busted suitcase of clothing next to him. Mr. Zach came to Jarvis's room and knocked on the door. Yes, Mr. Zach how can I help you sir. Jarvis there is a small problem with your family. Franklin and Micki had a knockdown drag out and it was Micki that was drug out of the house and tossed out into the streets with his clothing. I think that we might need to have a little talk with them? Franklin has finally had enough of Micki's bullish, sounds like it's handled perfectly fine. I will not interfere nor will you in their household sir. Jarvis are you sure that this is the way you wanted handled one of your family members tossing a mate out the front door into the streets. Mr. Zach, sometimes it takes something monumental for one mate to stand up to another after they have been browbeaten for years. I don't have a problem with Franklin, anything Micki got a well-deserved it. So, we don't need to do anything but maybe find Micki a new place to dwell preferably on the opposite side of the planet at a severely remote farm. Okay Jarvis, if that's how you feel about it then I will respect your family and your decision. Zach returned to the master suite for the evening. After about an hour of Micki's crying and screaming in the middle of the cul-de-sac Tim stopped by. Grab your shit get in the back, and go to the dormitories for the night tomorrow morning I will find your new location that is orders of the Z1 Council. Micki realized it was truly over, he picked up his busted case and scattered clothing and took a seat in the back of Tim's vehicle. The next morning bright and early Franklin was at his job just like he was scheduled. Ben said; good morning I hope you had a pleasant evening after all. Franklin smiled; I haven't slept so peaceful in years; I will make sure that the staff has your fresh coffee delivered to you in the dining room sir. And I'll see if our new pastry chef has anything ready yet. Franklin went about his business and went to the kitchen whistling, Rocco the new young pastry chef was very pleased to see the usually staunch man actually smiling and having a good day. Sir the pastries are ready for Mr. Ben and Mr. Zach, I have taken time out to make a special one so that you might try it and give me your honest opinion if it can be added to the house menu. Franklin looked at the young man, I will try it when I return from serving the Masters of the house. Rocco smiled; he was new at the Z1 and loved his job working in the main house. Franklin gave him an uneasy feeling every time he was around, but for some reason this morning was different. Rocco carried the tray of pastries into the breakfast room and returned for the special coffee. When he was for certain that everything was to the liking of Mr. Ben and Mr. Zach, he returned to the kitchen to take a sampling of this new pastry this young man had asked him to try. Rocco had a cup of coffee, spoon, fork, knife and napkin folded perfectly on the table next to the counter. Sitting on a plate was a pastry that was so beautiful it was a shame to even touch much less consume it. Franklin was very impressed with the young chef's skill. He took a seat and sliced off a piece of the pastry, he carefully examined the pastry for texture, flakiness and filling which he found to be perfectly balanced. When he put the first piece in his mouth the richness of the filling along with icing and buttery flavoring made it melt in his mouth. Franklin was startled when Ben walked up behind him and asked him how did he like his special treat. I am very sorry Mr. Ben I know I'm at work and I should not be indulging sir. It looks like you're doing your job Franklin, you are taste testing a new perspective item to the menu of the Z1, Rocco wanted someone of your expertise to try it before it could be added. So, what about it does it pass your taste test? Rocco, you should be commended for an excellent pastry style dessert. It can be served after a meal, along with breakfast are at brunch. For discerning pallets, it will be perfect for luncheons, or while entertaining very important visitors here at the Z1. Rocco was so pleased and excited he flung his arms around Franklin's neck and hugged him thanking him and gave him a peck on the cheek. Rocco realized what he did, turn red in the face and apologized then ran out of the kitchen. Well Franklin, I think you have a starstruck staff member. Just remember not at work. It was now Franklin's turn red faced. Mr. Ben would you care to help sample this creation? I thought you would never ask Franklin, I thought you were going to eat the whole thing by yourself, but we better hurry up or Zach come in here and will have to fight him for it. Just as the two were finishing the last bite Zach came in looking for Ben. Just what have you two been up to in here for so long. Ben smiled; just taste testing a new dessert that will be added to the menu. And it is only for special occasion or special guest. Franklin, I know that you're at work, but Rico has already called wondering if he can come visit you this afternoon at home. He knows that his dad has his problems and he does not want to cause any strife between you two. Mr. Ben should you see my son, tell him that he and his new husband are welcome at the house any time they please to stop by. After all it is his home too, and there's always room there. Zach looked Franklin, if you need time off all you do is request it. Jarvis is back and is willing to help out in any capacity that he can. Thank you Mr. Zach and you also Mr. Ben, my house is fine I took out the trash. My children are always welcome at their home. Zach and Ben did not push anything, they were fully aware what had happened. Franklin was gonna take a little time to adjust but he had his family with him to help. It was a good thing that Harvey and Benton were not at home when the trouble occurred last night. Both of them were gone on a 30-day excursion learning about other ranches and farms under the umbrella of the Z1's care. It is no doubt that both of them would be disturbed about their parents. It was a long and tiring day for everyone, Max and Jericho stayed clear of Franklin's business and advised Rico that he should do the same. Jericho set his grandson down, Rico I'm gonna tell you this once and only one time. Sometimes things get under our skin and they fester, until they erupt. Your father obviously had enough and for some reason he reacted. I know you love your dad and I do not wish to speak ill of him because he is your dad. There have been problems in that house for years, your father hit his shame and let it continue until something set him off. I don't know what the final straw was but it must have been major. Your dad needs space, your father needs support. Granddad; the whole reason I didn't want to come back the one was dad. I could not take his constant belittling of father anymore. With Rusty, he shows me honor and respect for what I bring to the relationship and our family. I warned him if he ever raised his voice at me in anger, he would be out the front door. I had to listen to my father be disrespected day in and day out by my dad and I swore that I would never do that to my mate nor would I allow myself to be dishonored either. You don't have to worry about me, I will support father. Dad on the other hand, he has a lot of amends to make. Tim stopped by to check on Rico, to make sure that he was okay. Good afternoon Mr. Max and Mr. Jericho, I came by to check on Rico. All this cannot be easy on him in his condition. I know when my father and my dad had their disagreements even though they were not together it hurts. Rico's in the den area with Rusty why don't you go visit them. Tim went back and introduced himself to Rusty and congratulated Rico on the baby. Before you ask Tim; I am doing fine I heard about the incident at the house and will go visit my father later on. What do you know? It was loud it was very disturbing to the neighbors, and your father lost his temper. We're talking about Franklin Spinelli here? How can he lose his temper he's always so calm and collective? I should not be telling you this but, your dad messed up big time. I found him in the middle of the cul-de-sac where he had been thrown along with a suitcase which had burst open full of his clothing. I had never seen Franklin so hurt and mad at the same time. He not so politely told your dad that his children their children and who they marry were welcome in his home at any time. But since your dad felt so strongly against it, he would never cross the threshold into their home ever again he was never to step foot back into his life. So, all this is about me, I knew I should not of came back at all no matter what. Rico is not about you, it's about your dad and his unreasonable ideas. You accept someone for who they are not what they are and your dad could not see that no matter how much your father tried to say otherwise. So, your pureblood Rusty is human you are having a hybrid child somewhat I'm hybrid it does not make any difference and it does not change who I am inside. Likewise, Zion a pureblood his mate is a hybrid and they love each other so what who cares you love the person for who they are not what they are. If your dad has a problem and that's his problem not yours not Zions and definitely not your father's. Babes; I tried to tell you it wasn't about, but what do I know I'm just dumb human fail head over heels in love with a pureblood. Quit worrying and stressing out it is not good for your blood pressure or the baby, and I intend you and this baby safe. If that means no visiting with certain family members then it's off the schedule. Thank you Rusty I know that you care and you love me but I can't change the fact that my dad is my dad. Max cleared his throat; and is not your problem Rico. You and Rusty go visit your father and give him your support. I will have Tim take me to your dad so that I can check on him and give you a report. You don't mind that do you Tim? No sir Mr. Max, I will take you to where Micki is staying so that you can see for yourself other than a bruised bottom and bruised ego, he is okay. If you would like a ride, I'll drop that to you off at your father's house and your grandfather and I can go check on your dad? That's okay Tim I need the fresh air in the exercise, according to Dr. Caleb I need to start walking. Grandfather I will see you when we return. Rico and Rusty walked up to the door, Rico just shook his head when he saw the mangled front gate in the screen door that had been knocked off its hinges. Damn babes; remind me do not piss your father off. For a nice quite polite man he has a temper and I don't want to be on the receiving end. Rico knocked on the door, a red eyed Franklin opened it up. Franklin wrapped his arms around his son and broke down in tears. Rico and Rusty both helped Franklin back to the sofa and took a seat beside him. I am so sorry; you shouldn't see me this way it's not proper. Father; I love you and we are here for you. The boys will be coming back next week according to Mr. Ben and you need to figure out what they're need to be told. Don't be mad at me but I called Zion. Rico what did you do that he is on tour; he doesn't need the family drama to interfere with his life. Father Zion and I have not always gotten along with each other, sibling rivalries happen but there was a lot more going on in this home behind your back. We kept it quiet because we didn't want you worried. Every day return from work we were happy and every morning when you left, we were in fear of what would take place behind the closed doors. Why do you think Benton and Harvey were so insistent on leaving for this outpost trip? A nice pretty White House trimmed with blue shutters and all of its flowers held a dark secret inside. I know you couldn't understand when I acted out with disrespect, Mr. Zach and Mr. Ben are very smart, they saw the handwriting on the walls. There's a human saying; those who live in glass houses cannot see through the brick walls that they have built between them, but others on the outside can see everything. I didn't know what this meant until now, Rusty told me when I figured it out for myself it would open my eyes and it has. It's none of my business what took place last night, the only thing that is my business is your happiness in life. I will make my peace with dad myself on my terms never on his. You have my support in whatever you decide as long as you are happy and content. Rico don't be too hard on your dad, me being a perfectionist didn't go over well with him. We were placed together thanks to the old way of living; he was never happy and after Benton was born, we never touched each other again. He once told me that four was the limit and after Benton was born there was never anything. Father I know, I grew up seeing everything because I did not live with blinders on. I saw you try and I saw you rejected time after time. No matter what you did it was never good enough. So, I think what has transpired is best for all and especially you. If you one day meet someone, good you deserve happiness you have lived in misery for way too long. Dad is free to seek his own but it will take time for him to wait for him to wake. Rico I would like for you to know, that you and Rusty and this baby and every baby that comes after it, will always welcome in this family's home. You might not live here but you will always have a place to come back to your loved and appreciated for who you are, my son. Father are you tired? Because right now I sure could go for malted and a burger from Constantine's. Rico that sounds great, it's about time that I introduced my new son-in-law to this wonderful world we have here on the Z1. Rusty get ready for a treat, because nobody makes a malted like Constantine. The three stood up and walked down to the transit stop, it would take them into the Township so that they could feast for the evening. Max and Tim went to the dorms to find Micki. Would you look who it is, what you doing old man come here to gloat. No Micki I did not come to gloat; I came to check on you to make sure that you were, okay? Me. I'll be fine I'm a survivor so what, I was humiliated and thrown out into the streets by that's sorry ass son of yours. What's it to you, old man? Micki; try not to be so bitter. This took years to happen and everyone is responsible. Maybe I'm at fault or maybe Jericho is who knows? When you and Franken were chosen for each other, we should have said no. We saw that there was a difference, you two were polar opposites, but we were just Genman, the farm owner made pairing decisions along with the local counsel. I don't know where your heart is at, Rico does not deserve to be treated by his own dad the way you are treating him. Let me tell you one thing old man, he can go to hell and take that little abomination that he's caring inside of his body with him. When he laid with that filthy human, he sealed his fate with me. I have no sons by the name of Rico or Zion, you decide to live with the filthy rackknars and you become no better than a filthy rackknar. Humans are beneath us and they always will be. Tim shook his head; Mr. Micki, I was always taught to respect my elders by my parents but you sir, shame every pureblood Genman that has fallen in love with someone different from themselves. Spoken like a true mixed blood, you act like you're high and mighty, but you are no different from the rest of the filth. Max put his hand up, Tim this is enough obviously he will never learn his lesson until it is taught to him the hard way. He needs to move on, away from the boys and the Z1. That's right send me away, who the fuck needs this damned place anyhow. A few of the other residents at the dormitory were none too happy to hear Micki's comments. One even approached Tim, Sir you want us to teach him a lesson while you're gone, we will gladly send away here very sore. It will be fine; no harm shall come to him tonight. My dad will handle this tomorrow. Few words were said between Max and Tim is a road back to Max and Jericho's home. Max got out and bid him goodbye for the night. Micki's words stung Tim deeply, so he went to go see his dad. Ben took his son into his arms and hugged him. No matter how old they get they are still your children and they can be hurt. The two spoke for almost an hour before Tim had calmed down enough to go on to the house. Ben put on his shoes and headed to the front door, Zach knew better than standing in the way, he called Madison and asked for a ride for Ben. Madison arrived and saw very upset man; he opened the door to the speeder and asked Mr. Ben where he needed to go. To the men's dorm and you will remain in the speeder till I return. Yes sir Mr. Ben not a problem I can follow your orders. All eyes were on the doorway when it was yanked open, not a soul said anything as Ben Spinelli walked into the dormitory headed directly toward Micki's bunk. Micki stood up with a sarcastic smirk on his face, well it looks like little Timothy came home crying to his daddy when his feelings were hurt. Micki didn't get another word out of his mouth before his jaw was broken by Ben's right hook. It didn't stop there; Ben beat the man to the ground and then continue to kick and stomp on him till he grew tired. Ben looked around at his audience, somebody take this worthless piece of shit to the clinic and patch him up. Tomorrow morning daybreak you are off the Z1, you can ride the transit as far as it will take you. You can stop at one of the other satellite ranches, no a ranch is too good, you need to go to a farm so that you can learn the value of hard work. And Micki do yourself a favor never show your face here again or you will go to the back 40. Do not make me regret my decision to stop beating you until you had no breath left in your worthless body. Ben walked out of the dorm and return to the speeder, Madison young man drive. I am too damn mad go back to the main house at this time. And as far as anybody is concerned, I took out the trash tonight. The next morning at 6 AM Lester was greeted by a very colorful individual. He knew who it was but did not say a word. Lester had no idea who or what happened to Micki's face, he already had a note and it told him where to drop Micki at. That morning when Rico opened the door to his grandparents' home, he found a note attached to the doorknocker. To whom it may concern; I am sorry for any trouble that I might've caused in anyone's life. I brought everything on to myself, I don't ask to be forgiven because what I've said and done is unforgivable. I must find myself, do not attempt to find me for I will only run again. I brought shame to my family and my home. Have a good life and love those who you are with. And it was signed Micki. Rico quietly folded the letter and placed it in his pocket. His father could once again live life. It was can be hard on the others when they return but everyone would survive. Grandfather, I'm gonna walk over and see father. I will not prejudge anything that is between him and dad. Okay Rico, I'll tell Rusty when he gets up that you're at your father's, and to give you a little time together just the two of you. Thanks grandfather, you're the best. Just as Rocco was getting ready to walk up the pathway to Franklin's home he was met by Rico. Good morning, if you don't mind would you please give this package to your father. I understand from Mr. Jarvis that he will be taking a few days off. Rocco and Rico introduced themselves to each other, I work at the main house in the kitchen area as a pastry chef. Your father comes by every morning to check and make sure that everything is done to his specifications. I figured that he might miss some of his favorite items that he likes to sneak when he thinks no one is looking. Thank you very much Rocco, I'm sure that he will enjoy whatever you have packed for him. If you would like to give them to him yourself, you're more than welcome. Not just yet, your father has a long way to go before he is ready. I mean after the other night; it was bad from what others have said. I will respect your family and their privacy just let your father know that we are all family here on Z1. Rico patted his stomach, and the family is getting bigger. Wow you are quite large, I can't believe that you have two months left? The baby's father and I are very happy, I wouldn't admit it to him but I am glad to be here at the Z1 for her birth. Congratulations again Rico, I must be getting to the main house and starting on the pastries for lunch, I will talk to you later if we run into each other again. You can plan on that one Rocco; from the smell of this box, you can definitely be planning on that. Rico knocked on the front door as he entered, father I'm home and I brought you a little surprise from a friend. Who would be sending me anything? Just someone who thought that you deserved better. And he definitely knows your taste. Franklin opened the box and shook his head; Rocco he should not have done this he could jeopardize his job for sneaking pastries. Father I don't think he's not anything, I imagine that Mr. Ben knows all about it and it was done with his blessing. So, if you have a little coffee, I will take a small sampling. I know what Dr. Caleb said and I am watching myself so please no lectures. Father and son sat down at the breakfast table in the kitchen. Both enjoyed the wonderful creation that had been sent over by Rocco. Rico only had ¼ of a cup of weakened coffee and half of the breakfast roll. So, here I find you at your father's home cheating? No Rusty I am not cheating; Dr. Caleb told me sparingly. I had ¼ cup of weakened coffee and half of the breakfast roll. I did save the rest for you and you will enjoy it immensely. If you don't believe me, ask my father, he's not gonna lie for me at all. He'll be the first one to give me up. What Rico tells you is correct; I would not let him do anything to put that child or himself in jeopardy. Rusty took a seat after he retrieved his coffee and started to chow down on the other half of the breakfast roll. This is awesome, you have to get the person that created this to teach you while we're here how to bake like this. I'm not bad in the buns and everything else for the diner this is so much more. Instead of me learning, why don't you head to the main house go to the kitchen and ask for Rocco maybe he can teach you. Maybe on second thought since you're only human you can't do it. Well, those are fighting words and until you're chewing on them when I show you just how good I can be. So, before you change your mind I'm gone. Enjoy your visit with your father. You shouldn't goad him like that, it's not fair. Father this is how we proved each other how much we love one another. One of us will challenge the other and then the competition is on. I know Rusty can do it, he just doesn't realize it yet. Maybe he'll get the lowdown on Rocco for me. You're like your granddad, sneaky and always planning. That's what makes you so unique and I love you for it. So go ahead and some your questions, I know that you will not be satisfied until you understand what happened. Father that is none of my business, I just want to see you happy for once in your life. Rico I very happy, when your brothers return, we will sit down as a family and I owe all of you an apology. Father the only person that you owe anything to is yourself, us kids will survive. Why do you think I stayed away so long? I couldn't come back into this home and disrespect anyone. Rusty made me realize my self-worth and Francine will always know nothing but love between her parents. I understand Rico, little Franny will be just fine. Rusty asked around and found the back entrance to the kitchen, he spoke to a couple of the workers and was pointed in the direction of Rocco. Rocco was surprised to see this human standing before him. I would like to introduce myself to you and thank you for the most wonderful pastry I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. My name is Rusty Numen I believe that you were at my father-in-law's home this morning and you spoke to my spouse Rico? Rocco was a little thrown back; yes, I did stop by and deliver pastries this morning to Mr. Franklin's home. I am pleased to hear that you appreciated them. I don't understand why you're here other than that? Rocco, I bake all of the breads for the diner where Rico and I both are employed, but your pastries are the next level and I would be honored if you would teach me while I am here waiting on the baby to be born to make anything resembling what you made this morning. Okay; I can attempt to training you but the clothing that you have on will not do here in this kitchen. We are at the Z1 main house, we are held to a level beyond. We must carry ourselves with dignity and respect of others, if you think you can abide by those rules then I will teach you as much as I can. This did not come easy for me; it took me two years of classical training in a culinary Institute. But I'm sure since you can already bake breads and other items that you can grasp easily some of the things, I will show you. In the employees clothing allotment room, you will find the attire that you will need to stay here in the kitchen as a trainee. Rusty headed right for the employees dressing area and retrieved the required clothing for the position that he would be stationed at. Upon return Rocco critiqued him on the outfit and how it did or did not fit him. One thing you must learn, always conduct ourselves professionally while we are here no matter what. I don't care if it is a family member that you are addressing while you are on duty you will respect them because you are a member of the staff. Do not let it slip. For today you will take notes and observe only unless you are asked participate. You will follow me in my direction only, no other chef in the kitchen has dominion over you or training. Rusty ducked his head in agreement to Rocco's rules. The two went about their business, Rusty taking notes constantly throughout the day of everything that Rocco did. Franklin walked through the kitchen and was surprised to see Rusty dressed in a trainee's uniform. Has this action and approved by a senior staff member? Rocco was coming out of the supply pantry when he answered; Rusty wished to learn how to make the pastries and I have assigned him under me as an unpaid intern. He will only take direction from me and either you or Mr. Jarvis. I hope this pleases you sir? Okay, it is your discretion but also it is your reputation that is on the line should he mess up. Rusty remained standing and never flinched, he did not wish to cause anyone any strife. Carry on Rocco I hope the human can keep up with your perfection. I have no doubt that he will give it his best try, and maybe will come away with some new skills. Franklin left the area to Rocco and Rusty, he was going to enjoy telling Rico that the challenge set forth had been accepted and was at this present time being worked upon. Franklin to go see his grandfather to explain to him a few things. Sir might we step to the side and converse about some personal matters away from the main house? Jarvis looked over at Franklin, as long as your personal matters are settled outside of the main house and do not reflect negatively upon the Z1, they are just that your personal matters. I suggest that you take a couple of days off so that you may gather your spirits, I will see you after hours. Jarvis felt for his grandson, but personal family matters were personal matters and they were never to be discussed within the confines of the main house. Franklin left the main house and decided to go to his parents so he could break the news of Micki's departure. Max was sitting on the glider swing when his son walked through the front gate. He felt for him but decided that it was his decision if he wished to bring forth any discussion. Frank then took a seat on the swing beside his father, I guess you heard I think the whole Z1 knows what happened. I didn't plan on ending the way that it did but when he laid out his ultimatum and denied our children access to their home, I put my foot down. Max smiled; from the way I heard it I think you put your foot up upon someone's ass as you through them off of your property. Sign you did what you felt you had to so that your children and grandchildren felt protected within their own home. I doubt that Micki will come to his senses in the near future. But as long as your children feel safe, wanted and loved in their home by at least one of their parents then you did the right thing. I think your dad has a pitcher of cool water for us in the house. You are always welcome in your family's home. No sooner than Franklin walked through the door, Jericho hugged his son's neck. I love you I respect you and I support you whatever your decision is now have a seat and I will bring you a glass of cool water. I don't even know where he is on the Z1? Maybe I need to talk to him about everything surely, he has snapped out of his confused state of mind and will be reasonable. Max looked down, don't count on that my son. Micki boarded the first transport this morning with his bag and left the Z1 he left a note on our door which Rico found. He's gone and he does not want to be found, he knows he messed up and has set you free from your bonds. Do not try to look for him because he'll only run again, you will have to explain to the children with as few details as needed so that they may understand while their parents are no longer together and have went separate ways. Franklin shook his head; I knew it was too quiet I figured something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. Benton is getting ready to go through his transition so you might as well say the children are grown. When the boys gather at the house I will sit down and explain it to them. Remember son remarked Jericho; the children only need the basics they should be spared the ugliness that was abound. Yes; dad I agree, I have been given a few days off from my job so that I can collect myself. I plan on relaxing and removing a few items that are no longer necessary. Do you need any help? No dad this is something I have to do for myself, I'd prefer if everyone would just give me a couple of days so that I may gather myself. Okay, I hear you loud and clear I will tell Rico and Rusty to give you some solitude. Thanks dad; I knew that I could count on you two, I have a lot to do before Harvey and Benton get home next week. I just hope they can forgive me for not being able to make it work anymore. Max spoke up; do not sell your son's short. Sometimes children see too much and they hear more than they ever should through the thin walls. Lean on them as they lean on you. Coming soon the Z1 Ranch P -- 81.
