Date: Fri, 2 Jul 2021 21:58:58 +0000 (UTC) From: cgf2662 Subject: The Z-1 Ranch P-82 The Z-1 Ranch P-82 CGW© Jimmy and Marlowe were at the clinic waiting for his appointment, he had gotten huge and Marlowe felt for his mate. Zach was walking to the clinic and saw the Beards sitting down patiently waiting on Caleb to call them back. Morning Jimmy and you too Marlowe are the babies doing? Kicking all the time doing backflips and stomping the hell out of my bladder. Griffin was bad enough about standing on it at inappropriate times but I think these three uses a punching bag. Talk about bladders, I'll be right back got a go again excuse me Mr. Zach. Okay Marlowe this will give us the perfect time to talk, have you given any more thought to moving your family to the Z1 permanently. You can ride the transit every morning to the city, if you wish to keep your old job, if not I'm sure we can find something here that will fit you perfectly. With Griffin carrying and starting Z University in the fall everyone could be here? Mr. Zach; I know that Jimmy can teach here at Z University, and our first grandchildren will be here on the Z1. I can't argue about the fact that the triplets will be better off here being raised. It's just that I feel that I'm giving up my life for them. Marlowe, I understand but you do not have to give up anything. And your family does not have to hide out from those who would wish them harm. Every resident of the Z1 has equal access to the transits that we purchased. Our education system is better than 95% of the public institutions, do we have problems every now and then? Yes, who doesn't, but here we strive at being our best. There's one thing that concerns Mr. Zach, if Jimmy doesn't have enough nectar for all of the children how much is it going to cost for us to have supplemental nectar. Nothing Marlowe, in fact today after the appointment I would like for you and Jimmy to stop by and see Titan. He runs a supplemental feeding program, now when you first meet him do not prejudge, him please. You will see what I mean. When he saw the need and he had plenty to offer while carrying his twins he started the program on his own. He has a regular job and continuing educational and speech therapy plus he's raising a family and has a wonderful spouse. Jimmy had just walked up when Dr. Caleb called them back. You to have a great visit, and don't forget Marlowe to stop by and see Titan about the program we offer here Z1. Thank you very much Mr. Zach I will make a point to stop by and see Titan. I'll give any one and anything a chance. Zach was doing his normal routine check when you run into Charlie. Charlie was about as big as an elephant this time. Charlie really, you and Deeke have to slow down. Twins this time? Nope, Mr. Zach it's quads. Seems like Deeke just brings out the best in me. I love that man some fierce, and all the babies we have. I suggested after these four, I want to take two years off. And would you believe Deeke had the audacity to be disappointed, said he loved me all rounded up. But he was only joking, he agreed we need to take a break and let me rest after the quads are born. Well, there's Dr. Rupert coming down the hallway looking for me, I will talk to you later give Mr. been my sincerest apologies for not stopping by or calling. Been a little busy between work and what's under construction. Okay Charlie take care, take care of those babies and tell Deeke to keep it in his pants. Charlie started to laugh, you're one to be talking when is next one of y'all's coming along? It'll be a little while; Ben needs to rest. Plus, with Mason due at any time the grandkids will keep us occupied. Harvey couldn't wait 5:30 PM to come, no sooner than the whistle went off out the door. He arrived home in Benton was there by himself, little brother I'll get you a meal started and all set on the table I have friends waiting on me and I am not going to be here tonight so you stay at home until father arrives or Rico and Randy get back. I'm leaving father a note and putting it in his book so he will know where I am at. Gee thanks Harvey, just leave me stuck here at the house by myself. What every young Genman wants to be stuck at the house on a Friday night. Quit complaining Benton, father will be here between 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM at the latest. I'm sure that Rico and Randy will be here before he gets home. Me I'm leaving out the door at 6:15 PM and not a second later, so eat your Din, Din and quit complaining. Benton had no intention of staying at the house by himself at all, it was bad enough that he had to stay there, because Rico and Rusty were not at home. Harvey told his little brother goodbye; the sentiment was not returned by Benton. Harvey was out the door and headed to the transit stop. No sooner than Harvey had walked out the gate and started to go down the back path Benton made his exit. He was going to follow his older brother and just see who these friends were. Delbert and Harvey had a system worked out; they would both get on the bus separately but sit down with each other just like no big deal. They were trying not to draw attention to themselves. Benton snuck on the transit and walked right by Harvey who was looking out the window. Sure, he's with friends and by sitting beside him with that good-looking guy. Oh shit, Benton thought to himself he must be going somewhere with the good-looking guy. At the Township the good-looking guy got up and allowed Harvey to walk out first, Benton could not lose track of these two so he followed them that went into a couple shops then made a stop at Constantine's. Benton was really shocked at how much Harvey had ordered, that definitely lighten the good-looking man's wallet. Benton was keeping an eye on them to see what they were doing when one of his friends walked up and distracted him. They got to talking and he lost all track of time when he looked up and noticed Harvey in the good-looking guy had disappeared. He went looking all up and down the sidewalks and some of the other shops for the two but he couldn't find them. He looked everywhere, but the correct place. Benton was startled when a voice behind him spoke; boy what are you doing out at this time of the evening by yourself. You're supposed to be on the ranch are you not? Benton turned around and saw a very nice-looking man looking at him. I was here with my brother but we got separated. Damn he had covered his tracks. The same brother that walked away with a very good-looking man. More like you were trying to spy on your older brother to see who he was with. My name is Parker Ross I work for Jake at the construction site and live here in the Township, hell I was born this Township you folks have been the best thing to ever come along for us. So, tell me what's acute looking young Genman like you doing out on your own? I got mad at my older brother because he left me at home until father was to arrive so I decided to follow him to see who he was going to see. I got distracted and they gave me the slip, they didn't know I was tagging along for one thing so how can you give someone the slip and you don't even know they're there? How old are you and what's your name young man? My name is Benton and in about eight months it will be my time for transition. So, you're about 16 maybe 17 years human? Yes sir, ask about the correct calculations. A mate right now young man you are a cute one and no doubt when you transition year to be very sought after by any number of males. That's if you are a carrier, I just don't want to see one of get you too early. What you say we get you back to the ranch because I bet you your father is worried sick, why don't you give him a call? I can't, I sort of left my communications device on the dining table. You mean you purposely left your communications behind that way nobody could track your actions, is that about, right? Yes sir, I know it was stupid but hey I'm a teenager and you know teenagers do dumb things. Okay I won't argue with you there, but you will take my communicator you will call your father and let him know that you're okay and that you will be home shortly on the next transit. Parker, you don't understand, my father's going to skin me alive. And if he doesn't my oldest brother Rico will. Here it is call now, or do I need to call Jake Traylor and have him contact the Z1. I bet that would go over like a lead balloon. More like a Rocketship without any fuel going down into a planetoid's gravitational pull. Well at least you got some smarts about you, now make the call. Franklin was climbing up the walls, the sun had set and his two youngest boys were not at home and neither were answering their communicators because they had been conveniently left behind. That's when his communicator rang with a strange number. Hello can I help you he answered? Father; this is Benton I will be home in a few minutes please don't worry about me I left my communicator there at the house. I know the rule is I walk out the door I take it with me I go nowhere without my communicator but I screwed up. A nice gentleman graciously loaned me his to call you and he will make sure I get home safely. Where are you at Benton, I hear traffic? Father can we not get into this on the communicator. I would rather face you; I did screw up big time. Where is your brother at? I don't know where Harvey is he went out with friends, and that's all that I can tell you right now until I get home. I'm very sorry. The call didn't really settle Franklin's worries at all, but at least he knew that Benton was okay wherever he was but he was in so much trouble. In about 40 minutes Benton came walking up the sidewalk to the house. There was a man with him behind. Franklin along with Rico and Rusty were sitting on the swing in the front yard waiting. A very tearful Benton approaches father and apologized to him for what he had put them through. He asked for forgiveness, Franklin looked at him and told him to go to his room until he was called for. Yes sir, I understand and when you call, I will be here. The man stepped forward and introduced himself to Franklin. I noticed the boy at the diner, he was watching another young couple who undoubtedly are in love. He was distracted by another young friend when the other couple slipped out the side door. He panicked he ran outside he started looking everywhere, I knew the kid was in trouble and I did not want anyone to hurt him. We spoke and I got to know a few things about him and without doubt I knew where he lived. If I had let that young man be harmed Jake would have killed me, hell I would kill myself. I just wanted to make sure that he arrived back at home safely. As far as the other young men I think they might be a little busy for a while if you know what I mean. Can't do much harm one's already swollen. I guess the young parents just need a timeout so that they could have private time. Franklin's mouth fell open. Rico interjected; what did the other party look like? Did he have blonde hair and tall? No quite the opposite, he was around 6 foot 4 but he had jet black hair. And he was well-built, let's say this much I wouldn't want to go against him in a wrestling match. Who is Harvey out with father? He doesn't know that many people from work. You need to have a talk with him when he gets home. Rico, nobody will say anything to Harvey. He will let us know the man is in due time if he wishes to. You know how you kept Rusty a secret until you showed up here looking the way you do. Rusty busted out laughing, he got you babes. Let Harvey grow up, let him experience life and maybe someone that will love him for who he is. Raising twins can be hard on two people much less a single parent. Parker smiled; can argue with you there. Maybe someday I will meet somebody just as well but I'm tired and I need to get back to the Township because work comes early in the morning and Jake doesn't play. So, I bid all of you good night, Mr. Franklin just to let you know, Benton is a wonderful young man. Don't give up on him because he did a typical teenager thing, he is smart well beyond his years. Thank you very much Parker, I am in your debt for my son's safety. If there's anything that you need come here to see one and on any given day, you'll find me in the main house where I am employed as assistant caretaker of the mansion. Yes sir, you can count on it. Parker Ross always keeps his word and checks up on those who need a hand every now and then. Parker left Franklin's residence and walked to the main gate to catch the next transit leaving for town. Rico and Rusty agreed to stay outside while Franklin went to have a talk with his son. Benton; come here to the living room we need to talk. Benton walked into the living room carrying the letter that was addressed to Franklin from Harvey. I'm sorry sir this was meant for you, but I took it and hid it because I was so mad at Harvey for leaving and going with friends when I had to stay home. Franklin took the envelope and held onto it until the son to have a seat. I'm not worried about this envelope, I'm worried about you, tonight I failed as a father I stayed late at the job to finish up something that I thought was more important than my own family. Since your dad left, I have been lacking in my attention to my kids. And for that I apologize for not being here. Harvey has a life of his own now that he is an adult, we're not going to speak about him nor who he was with until he's ready to tell us. You are so blessed that you met a good young man like Parker Ross, he could have very easily not been around and someone grabbed you and hurt you bad. The Township and the people that lived there are good people but with all the cross-country travelers you never know when someone is going to be mean. Prior to transition you will not going to Township unless you are with an adult, after transition you will lock yourself so that nothing can happen against your will. I did not teach my boys this because it's never been a problem before and your dad should have told all of you boys. Harvey is paying the price for my failure as a parent. I do not want you to pay the same price for my stupidity and shortcomings as a parent to you. I think one day soon we shall have a dinner here at the house and invite Parker so that we as a family can thank him for seeing that you were safely returned. Are you sure father? You do know that he's pure human. Yes, he is and he works for a wonderful man by the name of Jake Traylor, if he's good enough to work for Jake he's good enough to take a meal with us in thankful celebration. Now get your ass back to your room and go to bed, I love you and I'll see you in the morning. Benton was blown away by his father's attitude. He figured all hell would've broken loose and he got home, this was totally unusual for his father to be so calm. He hugged his father and went to bed. Franklin went outside and sat down on the swing along with Rusty and Rico. That didn't take long father, so tell me how bad was it? It doesn't take long to apologize to your child for being a failure as a parent. You ask for their forgiveness and next time you're there when they need you. I spend too much time at the main house and not enough time here at my house. Now that your dad is gone more responsibility translates more time here spent with you boys. Wait a minute how is Harvey not watching Benton and then Benton traipsing off after Harvey, your fault? I am supposed to be here at 6 PM from work, it was almost 7 PM before I arrived. Harvey felt that between the time that he left and I arrived shouldn't have been over 10 to 15 minutes at best but as usual I stayed at the job making sure that the main house was taken care of before I left. Yet my own house goes unattended, you have a husband and you are here to give birth, then you and your husband will travel back to your home. Zion is returning and will soon start his own life in his own home with his own mate and his child. He is taking care of his future. Harvey is discovering himself, if he meets someone who will take care of him and those babies, I couldn't be happier. But this was not his fault, I was not here where I should have been taking care of my youngest. This was my doings, and you better not say one word to Harvey about this. Father the way you run your house is the way you run your house, but I still don't get it they know the rules and they violated them yet you are the blame. Rico after the baby is born your priorities will shift. When you have a mate beside you that you can depend on it is easier to do right, but after your dad left, I failed to change my routine so I failed this family. Now do you understand? Father I hear you but everyone was at fault, and I feel guilty, because I'm leaving after the baby is born and I can travel. Never feel guilty for living your life, you and Rusty are going to make wonderful parents to my granddaughter. Just remember this lesson that I've had to learn the hard way and do not fail her. Franklin took out the envelope and read it, Harvey apologized for not being there when he arrived that he had left his younger sibling on his own. Dearest Father; I had a chance to go out tonight with some workmates, Benton's supper is on the table for him when he gets hungry. Your supper is in the stove on low, I have never done this before and all of this is new. I need to live life before I become a parent, I hope that you're not disappointed with me and I become just a fraction of the parent that you have been to me all of my life. Your loving son; Delbert. Tears were within Franklin's eyes; and he passed the letter over to Rusty and Rico to read. At least one of us thinks I'm not a failure. Father you're not a failure, you just take your job very seriously. We all need to start pitching in and being here when Benton gets home from school. Maybe they have an afterschool program that he can stay with for a few more hours that way everybody can be home when he gets there. Maybe they do son, we will check into it tomorrow. When Harvey gets home not a word about this, Benton knows to never speak of this again. The three had been setting on the swing for quite a while when the front gate opened and a very joyful Harvey strolled right up the sidewalk. He walked over to his father and kissed him on his cheek, I hope that you had a good day at work today sir. I am sorry that I went out before you arrived at home, I hope that everything went smoothly. Is there anything left in the oven to eat, I'm starving. We were holding supper for you replied his father. Let's go in and sit down at the table for our meal and you can tell us all about work today and your little get together. Harvey blushed, not much to say father just a few of the guys getting together after work in the Township. We were careful, we go in packs so no one gives us any problems. He turned and walked into the house. Rico looked at Rusty, you don't think he was doing what I think he was doing? Franklin chuckled; I know what he was doing by the way he was walking, somebody stretched him but good. I just hope that they were safe for the baby's sake. I'm sure he was after what happened he wouldn't take any chances, responded Rico. On Monday Lonnie wanted to know all about that date, plus he had some juicy information himself to pass. We had burgers and fries with shakes to drink we went walking about the Township we really did know nothing else, then we had sex in the motel and I went home. Not really too much say. You and Mr. Nastiness had sex, go on tell me all how was he? Some things need to stay private, but he was very considerate and very gentle and made me do all the work. And just let you know, every muscle on him is rock hard. You did all the work; I don't quite understand what you mean by that? In other words, I was on top and I rode him like the prized stallion he is. Now when he comes in today don't stare. So, what do you have to tell me about your weekend with Mr. wonderful? Could be Mr. wonderful is suffering from vent damage this morning? Okay let's hear it, the gossip bench is now open. Well, Scott started acting like a jackass because it was his time. So, after we went to bed he rolled on his stomach and started snoring and that's when I took the opportunity to get on top and let him experience some of what happens when you're on the bottom. Did you impregnate Scott over the weekend? If he's not it'll be a miracle, because that's all we did for two days, I had him face down, ass up because that's how I like to fuck. Needless to say, he had a little problem getting his swollen vent in his jeans today. Didn't help when I went by and slapped him on his ass and he howled like a wounded rackknar. Both young men were snickering when the supervisor walked by, guys in a little more action. Lonnie looked at the supervisor, that's exactly what we were talking about action, this last weekend, we can all stand a little more action in our lives. Just get back to work I don't want to know about your wild weekend, does that mean both of you are going to be out for pregnancy leave? Harvey looked at the supervisor, I don't know about him but me yes. Lonnie hasn't got anything to worry about one pushing out. But I can't say that for everyone in his house. Delbert walked in with his usual load of fruits and vegetables, he acted coy like nothing had taken place. Harvey waited on him the two concluded the business transaction and Delbert left the building. Lonnie looked at Harvey; don't tell me he's a tap and go kind of person. No, we agreed during business hours to keep it business, we don't need any undue attention to ourselves but the lunch breaks can be well used. It's going to be used all right, it's just not lunch that's going to be eaten. Lonnie your nasty, I thought Delbert was bad because he was dirty, you are just nasty. Scott walked in and had a pissed off look on his face. We need to talk me and you, about this last weekend and what you did. Talk away Scott I hold no secrets from Harvey, he's already heard the gossip. Mr. Jake saw me limping this morning when I went to sit down and flinched, he sent me to the clinic and Dr. Rupert swapped me. You're a dirty basterd, can't believe you did what you did to me. Jake took me off of the high construction put me down on the ground running a tool shack, this is my first carry. Claims he cares about his Genman workers, all he did was humiliate me. So, you're pregnant, Scott are you saying that you're pregnant, you've already found out? I can't believe it worked the first time; you must've been very fertile. Doc says for you to take it easy for the next couple weeks, because he doesn't want anything happening to the baby. Shit I cannot believe you did this to me. What are you bitching about Scott, you don't mind getting on top of me and knocking me up? It's all right for me to swell up and waddle around the house with your child, but you're not willing to return the favor. Before I met you, I had a life. Now it's just push out another one of your children once a year and be there ready for you when you're horny. Hey guys, let's save this until to lunch time we don't want to draw a crowd and get the supervisor pissed off at everybody. Scott, you need to stop and think before you speak, I'm not saying that what he did was right but at least he will be there for you and this baby, you could very well be in my shoes. Scott begrudgingly left the work area, he turned around to Lonnie. We are going to talk about this at lunchtime and he stormed off. Damn you would think he's the only Genman that ever got pregnant by his mate. Looks like this is going to be a fun nine months, talk about a bitch bag. Lonnie; take it easy on Scott this is all new to him. You can teach him from your experience of what to expect and look out for. Just be there for him, no matter how he treated you when you were pregnant treat him 10 times better. Soon the lunch whistle went off and they all went to the cafeteria. Scott was there waiting on Lonnie and he was still pissed. Lonnie walked up to Scott laid his hand upon his abdomen and kissed him. Thank you; I will be there for you during the entire time, you will not go through this alone, we are a couple and we need to share this responsibility. Who knows you might even learn something? Delbert walked up and greeted Harvey the usual politeness reserved for colleagues. Delbert you might as well will go ahead and sit-down Lonnie knows. We're close friends at work and it looks like were also to be friends away from work. He knows everything? Who do you think chewed my ass out and told me to go out and pursue you in the first place? It was either that or him and Scott were going to have a problem, because he thought you were damn cute. Scott looked at Lonnie, is this true? Only for about five minutes darlin' but after this weekend I am more in love with you than ever. I can't wait to get back to a little nitty-gritty. Scott blushed; you don't have to announced to the world yet. Delbert looked at the two, well I guess congratulations are in order for the two of you and from the sound of it, must be Scott's first time. You two are truly blessed. You don't have to remind, I'm going to get fat, my feet are going to swell along with the rest of my body and were not even talking about what it is going to do to my vent. Oh, before I forget Harvey, I brought extra vegetables and fruits with me for your family. The babies need their nourishment and so do you. They're not the best but you know my policy best for sale, second best everywhere else. Scott if you and Lonnie need vegetables just let me know I've got plenty. Scott thanked Delbert for the offer of the vegetables and said they would be greatly appreciated in their household. Delbert, you know you can't do this I cannot explain this to my family, my father does not allow charity because he works at the main house. Tell your father that I am trying some new seedlings, these are the fruits of their labor that need to be tasted. That should help out some, but the wrangle berries will make the best cobbler and that should please him a lot. Show them that you're trying to help the family. I know just who to contact to help me out with the cobbler, it will definitely go over well with father if we have a guest at the table tonight. Harvey didn't even think about it when he got up and leaned over kissing Delbert on the lips as a thank you. They both blushed when they realized everyone in the dining always watching them. Delbert looked around; can't I guy get a genuine thank you around here without all of you gawking. Everyone quickly put their heads back down continued to eat as Delbert departed the lunchroom. Shortly after going back to work the supervisor came around. Harvey, please keep your personal life personal, I don't want to have to move you from the station. Yes sir, you do not have to worry about that, it was a simple thank you for a gesture of kindness that he bestowed upon my family with fresh vegetables and berries that were castoffs. I intend to make my father a very elegant meal tonight from the gift of generosity that Delbert bestowed upon me. So, if you don't have anything else to say I have work to do. The supervisor knew there was more to the story but yet he didn't want to dig into anything, if Delbert got mad and stopped bringing the specialty items someone would be called onto the carpet and it wasn't going to be him. By 4 o'clock all of Harvey's data was input, his books were closed out for the day, the workstation was cleaned up he has to leave early. Supervisor checked everything and okayed it; besides he knew that cooking a large meal would take time. Harvey arrived at home and Delbert had brought over all of the vegetables and fruits and place them on the front porch of the home and left. Delbert got busy and began to pack stuff into the house placing it in the kitchen so that he could prepare the meal. Benton was at an afterschool program, Rico and Rusty were out doing their thing so he had the whole place to himself. The doorbell rang Harvey went to the door to see who was, standing out front was none other than Zion accompanied by Claxon and young Augustus. What in the hell are you doing here you're not supposed to be here for another week? Surprise we are early my brother. Well don't stand on the porch, and I'm cooking father a special meal. It's been far too long since we had a family meal and now that you are here it is now complete. I invited grandfather and granddad along with grandfather Jarvis to attend the meal. I'm cooking the main meal here and father's new friend is cooking the wrangle berry dessert. Did you say wrangle berries? How in the world did you get your hands on those there almost impossible and when you do there so expensive only then richest people can afford them? I have my connections, it's not like I don't know anyone. Okay Harvey spit it out who is he? He's a local grower and he comes to my section and drops off all of his fruits, vegetables and other things that he grows special. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have a wrangle berry on the Z1. Do I catch a slight glimpse in a small twinkling in you eye, I can about this grower of fine vegetables? We are friends away from work, but we are taking it very slowly. He knows my condition and how I arrived at it, he told me all about his life before the Z1. He is amazing, intelligent and very creative. He lost himself and almost lost his life when someone broke his heart so bad that he felt there was not any sense in living. Thanks to Mr. Zach and Mr. Ben they brought him to the Z1 so that he could recover physically and mentally. Is he okay now, we don't have to worry about him losing it anymore? No Zion he is fine, he came to terms with loss and rejection and his own inabilities in life. I think there's more to it if he'll just decide to open his heart and take a chance again. Harvey what about the father of the babies how does he fit into all this? Zion, he doesn't fit anywhere, he will pay his support checks he will be at the birthing and he'll be available when they transition that's it. I really don't look for him to show up anywhere unless they Drag him here. But this is enough talk and I gotta get busy, you and Claxton make yourselves at home. Put Augustus in our room with me and Benton. I don't know where Claxton is going to sleep because you know father don't allow any of that mess in his house. It will be okay Harvey were just visiting tonight, when we get through will go to our home. What the hell you talking about Zion? Don't worry, all in due time, need any help, Claxton can cook very well. If it wasn't for him while on the road I would starve to death. You know how I get before a show. Harvey let me ask you, has anybody heard anything from dad. No Zion, not a word only the letter when he left. He's my dad and I love them for that, I just can't stand him and the way he treated father. Now that I'm expecting a hybrid, he wouldn't allow me to stay here either, I am now beneath him and my children are abominations according to him so I'm finished. Max and Jericho were the first visitors to arrive and they were delighted to see Zion at home. They took a seat and caught up with her grandson and a very special young man by the name Augustus. Rico and Rusty with the next two in and they were also very shocked seeing Zion at the house. There was a knock at the door and Rico went to open it. Rocco stood there holding a very large pan, let me through this pan is heavy and it's hot. And it's also dessert tonight so you better hope I don't drop it. Zion was confused at who this young man was. That's our father's special friend, he works in the kitchen at the main house is the head pastry chef. He's teaching Rusty how to cook pastries and desserts. You mean father has taken the first step into another section of his life. Jericho clears throat; yes, Franklin has let his guard down, he is exploring the possibility of the second chance. Rocco is a first timer and is very cautious when it comes to things of the heart. Rocco came out of the kitchen area and held his hand out for Zion to shake, I'm sorry if I was a little short while ago but that pan was hot and very heavy. My name is Rocco I am the head pastry chef in the main kitchen. I hope you don't mind that your father and I are exploring the possibilities of the relationship with one another. I know it goes against protocol but the Spinelli's have given it their blessing as long as I continue to bake pastries and desserts for them and it does not interfere with my job. Your father is the constant professional when it comes to work, your grandfather Jarvis on the other hand he's the wild one. Grandfather Jarvis Wild? We talking about the same short statute man? Old don't let his age, the frosting on the roof or his size fool you he is a terror. Always walking by and poking me in the stomach and asked me if there's a bun in the oven, wants to know if Franklin needs instructions on how to get it done. Max started laughing, I fear that all the years working around Mr. Zach have finally gotten to father. He does have a sense of humor after all, and sometimes it's like talking to Mr. Zach. Although I don't mind, I know it's all done in good jest. Franklin on the other hand almost has a nuclear meltdown every time he does it. He walked by Franklin the other day and asked if he need refresher courses. Franklin looked confused and asked him what refresher courses. And Jarvis replied the proper way of knocking up your Genman mate and keep them knocked up to fill the house. I thought Franklin was going to have a conniption fit. Zion couldn't stop laughing, I'm going have to have a talk grandfather Jarvis. He's always calling me and telling me to be careful, it's hard enough to play a piano without a big belly sticking out in front preventing me from touching the keys. I tell him that Claxton and I are not at that stage in our lives yet but when I am I will take a break so that I can devote my time to our new child and my family. A red-faced Harvey stepped out of the kitchen; I hate to ask this but can somebody please set the table. I'm almost finished in here and I want the meal set and ready when father gets home. He deserves to be pampered for all that he does for us. Rico looked it Zion, I don't know what the hell got into him but he is acting so damn domesticated. Maybe not what, but maybe you should be asking who, big brother? Rico looked at Rusty and Rocco, does anybody know what's going on with Harvey? Everyone shook her head no, Zion what do you know? Actually, I don't know anything because he hasn't told me but when he's ready he will tell everyone. And I warn you do not play 20 questions with him, you know what happened years ago when you tried to pry a secret out of him, you two damn near killed each other fighting. Yeah; that was bad, I'll keep my mouth shut and let it happen naturally. Rusty busted out laughing; that this is one I have to see, Rico keeping his mouth shut, I don't think it can be glued shut. Everyone busted out laughing. Everyone pitched a hand and the table was set for the formal occasion. Jarvis didn't knock he just walk right on in the house like he owned the place, wow something smells fantastic. I know Franklin has not arrived yet but he should be here in about five minutes I had him do one last thing. Franklin arrived with his head down, I'm so sorry everybody I worked late I had something to do before I could leave. I know I promised you all that I would get home sooner but I screwed up. Nonsense father replied Harvey; you are just in time. The table is set and your meal awaits you as does your family. Franklin looked around and was surprised to see his immediate family there waiting on him. It was when Zion walked in from the kitchen that he realized that everyone had made it for supper. The meal smelled fantastic and it was the size of a small feast. He looked up and there stood Rocco, he knew this meal was going to be special. As he looked out over the table, he saw vegetables that were not on the normal eating plan. There were specialty vegetables that only could be arranged well in advance if they were available and they cost a lot more money than the normal free ones at the storehouse. He looked over at Harvey; where did these come from son? They were a gift to our family from a friend of mine Sir. These were the cast-off leavings I only received what we needed for our meal. I told him to take the others and to make sure that someone else was blessed with a nourishing meal. Franklin smiled; well maybe one day I will be able to thank your friend in person. Because only a true friend would make such a gift of these fine items. Maybe someday father, but for right now this just enjoy the meal we have, a special dessert Rocco made from a prized berry that was afforded to us. Entire family sat at the table and began to joy the luscious meal that had been prepared by Harvey. There were compliments all the way around for the cook and for the unknown benefactor of the meal. When it came to dessert time Rocco brought out a beautiful Wrangel berry cobbler, it almost overshadowed the entire meal since it was very delicious. Rocco leaned over to Harvey; I hope that you don't mind but there were enough berries to make two cobblers and since I know they are Mr. Ben's favorite thing in the whole world, I cooked a second one for them. Rocco that was perfect, that's what we have to do we have to think of others before we think of ourselves even. Getting to know my new friend, I have learned that no matter how bad your life is someone else's life can be inherently worse. I don't believe that the second cobbler will go to waste at all. You do know, that Wrangel berries only come from one source. So, when you are ready to talk about him I will hold your secrets. Harvey blushed. Rico groaned for a minute and then took a deep breath. Son are you okay? I'm fine father just a little indigestion something must have had a little too much spice of some kind. Jarvis looked over at his grandson who was showing a little strain on his face. Boy, how often does this indigestion come around? 7 to 10 minutes maybe I don't know it's almost enough to make me sick to my stomach. Jarvis busted out laughing, Rusty get him to the clinic, Rico is in early stages of labor. That indigestion is his pelvic bone repositioning itself. We're about to have a baby, and don't dawdle he needs to walk. Suddenly there was a clamoring around the table like nobody had seen. Franklin's first grandchild was on her way. Rusty was all thumbs, he didn't know which way to run. Rico looked at his husband, take a deep breath and relax I'm doing fine and the baby is doing fine. We have talked about this the entire time you just need to stay calm and be there for me as I bring our daughter into this world. Rocco was right there beside Rico and asked him how was the pressure, the feeling of movement of the child. He began to coach Rico in what to expect as the baby came down. Just like any good parent would. Franklin realized right then how much Rocco felt for his family. Benton hung up the phone and announced that Dr. Caleb was already at the clinic and would wait for them. His instructions were; take it easy and walk to the clinic so that it would help the birth of the child. I haven't finished my cobbler yet was all Rico could think about, Jericho laughed at his grandson. Don't worry I will put it in a bowl and it will be ready when you get home with the baby. Rusty and Rico were walking out the front door when Rico turned around, excuse me I am going to have a baby I want my family with me, so everyone off of your deadbeat asses and let's go. Down the sidewalk Rico stopped grabbed his stomach and groaned out in pain, suddenly his trousers were wet. His water had broken so this baby was in a little hurry to get out and make her presence known. Rusty reached down and picked up his expectant spouse and began to carry him to the clinic, Rico was moaning and groaning the entire way. Baby I am so sorry, I didn't mean for you to have this kind of pain. As long as this one is born healthy, we don't have to have anymore. Rusty don't worry about me, this part is normal it's my first so yes, it's going to be a little more difficult on me because my insides have to be stretched to accommodate her. But we are going to be having plenty children. They arrived at the clinic in record time, Rusty was given out. The med staff helped prep Rico and placed him into the birthing chair. Okay Rico I see that everything has progressed normally and your embryonic fluid has ruptured already. Let your body relax and get used to the chair and when I tell you to push, we're going to have a baby. We doc, we are going to have a baby? I'm the one setting this chair and I am the one whose vent is being stretched right now, so you just play hind catcher and let me get this child out. It was only a couple minutes till Mr. Zach entered the delivery room. Well, I see we're almost ready you didn't think I was going let you have this baby alone did you Rico? I told you I was gonna be here when you had your first. Thank you, Mr. Zach; I'm ready for her to come out so if you get into position with Dr. Caleb, I'm ready to push. Caleb spoke; Rico on your next pressure pain push out like you're trying clean out. It will feel a little bit different but you know what I mean when you feel it. Oh, crap here she comes, I'm stretching. It's burning, oh I can feel it coming out of me right now. Her head is out Rico, now rest for a second then push again and it'll be over. We will clean her up and bring her around to bond with you and nurse, then her father can hold her. Push now, that's good Rico that's very good here, she's here. That wasn't so bad I don't think she weighs over 10 pounds, and very nice hybrid female. So, I'll let you rest and you'll expel the afterbirth, then we will get you cleaned up. Rico was enjoying the first couple minutes of parenthood when a slight pain hit him. It wasn't as grand as the first set of pains with labor but he felt something was different. Dr. Caleb something's not right with me, it's something is still inside I felt it move. I had a slight pressure pain but it was not near as much as it was with her. Rico, I will check it could be just the placenta turning loose, but don't worry I'll check. Rico, can you do me a favor the next time you have a pressure pain bear down a little bit like you were doing with her. Rico flexed his back and grunted as he felt his insides move once again. Caleb was shocked when he realized there was another child, a much smaller child being delivered. He made sure that the staff knew to get an incubator, this baby was special. After another push a tiny little boy was born could not have weighed more than 5 pounds. He was fully formed but he had smaller limbs. It took Caleb all about two seconds to realize that a dwarf hybrid child had been born. Dwarfism had all but disappeared as a genetic trait from the human bloodlines. Occasionally a child of human parents could be born with this special gene but never in the history of Hybrids had ever happened. Upon inspection of the boy, he was a pure Genman hybrid and when he cried out there was no doubt, he was full-term. Caleb made a quick assessment and brought the child wrapped in a blanket around to its parents. Rico without hesitation took the child and placed it upon his right gland as the little girl nursed from the left. Rusty began to cry, without a doubt he knew what the child was and how hard of a life he could have. The boy might've been small in stature but he had a voracious appetite. Zach was quick to congratulate the young couple on their perfect family. Anything that you need will gladly be supplied by the Spinelli family personally. After Rico had recovered from birthing, Caleb had the family sat down in the conference room as the babies slept in the nursery section. Okay, the reason we are meeting here is because of the babies. We have checked both of them out and their perfect in every way, they are exactly who they are supposed to be in life. No one is to blame; genetic anomalies happen no matter what when there are hybrids involved. In the case of little Jarvis Maximilian, he took a genetic code for generations back belonging to his great-great-grandmother on Rusty's side of the family lineage. But he is a Genman hybrid child, and you know they do grow quickly in his case it will be beneficial that his limbs are forced to grow fast. We estimate that he will only be about 5'4" to 5'5" thanks to Rico's genetics. That is what's wonderful about Genman and the genetic code that we carry it can fix a lot of these situational problems that arise in human genetics. He's what we call a slighted one, he will grow up just like any other Genman child to run an Excel and when his transition comes, he will mature out to the proper level that he is intended to be. That brings me back to you Rico, you are missing a certain compound in your nectar that he will require to achieve proper growth as an infant. Because of his size to feed more often but not require as much each time. I have already spoken to an individual that has the genetic code that he needs in his nectar. And Titan is more than glad to supply young Jarvis with any amount of nectar that he requires. He will need to nurse four times a day from Titan but you can fill in the supplemental feedings with your own nectar. Is he going to be okay Dr. Caleb? He is so small I'm afraid I might hurt him trying to handle him. Rico let me tell you and Rusty both this, he's perfect. So, take your family home and enjoy him. This will require you staying at the Z1 longer than you had planned but we do what we have to for our children. Mr. Zach has Madison out front waiting to take you home. When they left the meeting Rusty made a beeline for little Jarvis and cautiously picked his son and cradled him within his arms. Rusty looked back at Rico, ready to go dad I got my boy you got your little girl. We've got our perfect family. Rico leaned over and kissed Rusty and thanked him for their perfect family. Let's go home, I know it's gonna be a little tight for a while but will manage. Madison pulled the speeder away from the clinic and drove into the Z1 he missed the turn going into the block where Franklin's home was located. He turned at the next corner and drove up in front of another house that backed up to Franklin's. He turned and looked at the new parents, well you said to take you home so I did. And according to Mr. Ben this house belongs to you and the children for as long as you desire to stay. And then after that it will be reserved for you and the children when you come to visit. The back path goes directly to your dad's backyard there is a new gate installed so it's easy for you to visit or them to visit you. The house is all set up including two cribs, your clothing and possessions have been moved here. Benjamin and I handled that ourselves. Welcome to the crazy neighborhood. The door to the house opened and there stood grandfather Jervis. You better get them babies in this house now, don't make me come out there to that speeder. Well, the king has spoken and we better obey. Because I'm too sore to get my ass whipped. I know your grandfather, and after what happened to Kris, I want nothing to do with an ass whipping by him. So, we better get out of this speeder. Thank you, Madison thank you and thank Benjamin for all that you have done for us. See you at work tomorrow Rusty, I imagine if you beg off that you could get the day since you're a new parent for the first time but only Mr. Zach or Mr. Ben can do that. I know, I'm going to be at work tomorrow. I have a very capable mate, and he has a family that can also help if needed. The young couple took their children and walked up the sidewalk to their new home. Harvey looked at his communicator and realized he had seven missed calls from Delbert. He went to the bathroom he could have a little bit of privacy while they spoke. Delbert picked up on the first ring, is everything okay with you I got worried because you didn't answer up? I'm so sorry Delbert I had my communicator on silent because Rico went into labor and delivered this evening. Is everything okay with him and the baby? Well, that was a surprise, he had the little girl just fine and then he started having pains again and he had another child. A slighted one that was a boy and he is doing perfect he weighed 4 pounds 8-3/4. He will have a slightly challenging life growing up but the doctors feel very confident because he was full-term. From what I can understand he took a genetic trace code from Rusty's great grandmother who was also small and statute but being he is a Genman hybrid child he will grow larger than a normal human child with the same genetic coding. That is wonderful Harvey, any child no matter their station in life is a blessing for any parent. In the two that you carry are very special so when is your next checkup? Day after tomorrow, I wish you could be there with me but I'll bring you photos. In fact, I wish that I was in your arms right now. Laying in your bed with you right if you got through making love to me. I hate lying to my family, I want to tell the whole world how wonderful you are Delbert because you are a truly amazing man. I can't wait until we don't have to hide our love for one another anymore. You know what I told you, anytime you get ready I'll be there for you and the babies. We don't need anybody else as long as we have each other the biological father can go away and never be seen or heard from again. We can raise his children as our children. Delbert if it were only that easy, I would have to petition the Genman Council and everything would come out in the open for everyone. We both have things that we don't others to judge us on. Let's wait till after I have my appointment, I need to talk to my grandfather Jarvis, I need his wisdom. Okay, Harvey I understand and I'm just a phone call away, I will see you in the morning when I bring my vegetables, and then again at lunch just so I don't forget what you look like. Harvey busted out laughing and said goodbye. Harvey opened the bathroom door and there stood grandfather Jarvis. I'm sorry I took so long, just take some of us longer. Especially when some of us go to the restroom for privacy and speak on our communicators. You need to be careful, no doubt he is a very nice man that you have a lot of issues and it will cause problems in your future. Grandfather I need to talk to you, I trust your wisdom and your experience in life can we go outside just the two of us speak? I don't have a problem with that Harvey as long as the others know that we are speaking and they're not invited to listen in. Harvey and Jarvis walked through the living room area and all eyes were on them as they walked out the front door. Jarvis turned around; this is a private conversation keep your ears and your noses out of it. The Boy said he needs to speak to me and it is none of your nosy asses business. So, stay away from the doors and the windows. Jarvis set aside Harvey; okay alone and you need to unburden yourself I will not pass judgment I will only give you advice. I met someone, he's not perfect then again neither am I. He knows how the children came to be and he respects me for who I am and what I can become. He wants me to go to university and for us to raise the children. He has a small place and we would live there is a family, he is human just like my children. He treats me kind, he loves the children that I carry. He has history, he was once married to a human female but he was unable to produce a child with her. She turned to a close friend while he was working on the spaceport redesigning something big. He come back home to a wife who was plump and he knew it could not be his because test showed that it was impossible for him to produce a child. He sunk a low spot and he attempted to end his life. He was found by friends of his before he died. He was at the hospital when one of the doctors who knew his case intervened and contacted Mr. Zach and Mr. Ben. They brought him here they gave him a piece of land and a home so that he could recover, he comes to my workstation and it first I couldn't stand him. He had literally sunk to an all-time low, he would not take care of his basic needs. And me being me told him off. He attempted to be nice and apologize later and I still shunned him because he was awful. I judged by appearance and for that I will truly forever be apologetic, I wasn't raised that way and I never should've acted that way. But with my interaction with the human before, I was a little put off by them in general. Grandfather; he is so tender and caring when we are together. And the way he holds me it is though as he is protecting me from harm. The vegetables tonight was from him, he enabled us to have such a fine meal. So, your sweet on Delbert and from the sounds of it he is very well taken by you. Have you to been lying together as one? Yes, we have and I know I should not have done it for I spoke to father and as his permission. I am an adult and I am with child but I still owe my father the decency of letting him know I decided to be with someone. Harvey let me ask you something very important this could affect your very future, the times that you two have been together have you been protected from him? What do you mean have I been protected from him? Has he worn protection to keep the seeds from contaminating the developing process of the children? Grandfather I don't know what you're talking about, and no I am pregnant why should I have to wear protection now is not liking it more pregnant, besides he cannot produce an heir. Harvey, you need to go see Dr. Caleb in the morning. He needs to run a special test on you an RNH/DNA Factor to check the babies. And tell him who you slept with so that he can pull file. I will not tell anything to the people inside this is something that and Delbert must attend to Dr. Caleb can explain everything to you concerning twilight time for Genman. Grandfather I don't understand what you're talking about? But I will go to the doctor first thing in the morning, I will have him call Delbert so he will show up. Are the babies okay or did we do something wrong? No, you two did not do anything wrong you just need to know for sure. Call me first thing before you call your father, you call me. Harvey, I guess we had better go inside because everyone inside is about ready to go out of their minds knowing what we're talking about and is none of their damn business anyhow, so until tomorrow we will keep this quiet. Yes, grandfather Jarvis; I agree until we get some answers. I wish you would go with me; I need someone in my corner in case things get difficult. 8 AM in the morning at the clinic, I will be there for you and the other young man also.
