My legs are still hurting from that long hike yesterday. I'm not sure about Dennis as he hasn't complained. I hope he isn't trying to hide it from me if he is hurting. I want to be there for Dennis just like he is for me all the time. Dennis plays his PS4 as I cuddle up to him. I guess I fell asleep as next thing I know I'm waking up and it is morning. * * * * * Young Again: The College Years - Chapter 23 by Sam I get up and get dressed then go out to make Dennis' breakfast. After breakfast, Dennis goes to mow the lawn and I clean up the dishes. I then vacuum the carpets and mop the floors. When Dennis finishes mowing he comes back inside and asks if we can go swimming. I say yes and we go get changed. Dennis puts on his trunks and I put on my trunks and a t-shirt and we go out and get in the pool. It feels nice after doing all that housework. I float around just being happy to be in the water. Dennis comes over to where I am and holds me. I feel safe. Dennis' hand brushes up against my dick and I jump out of his arms. "I'm sorry, baby. I just wanted to touch it." "I'm sorry. I just can't. Not in the open. Please don't be mad, it isn't you. I really just can't." "No baby, it was wrong of me. I should have thought before I did it." I swim back over to him and he puts his arms back around me. I push into his body as he tightens his grip. After lunch I get a call from the realtor. The title search and survey are complete and the lawyer is drawing up the papers. He says they scheduled the closing for Friday at 10am at the title company. He gave me the amount of the cashier's check I would need to bring and the address of the title company. I thanked him and told Dennis. We drove over to the bank and after waiting in line for a teller told her what we needed. She asked for my and Dennis' IDs and after verifying everything asked for the reason for the check to put in the memo line. I told her 'purchasing a house' and she typed a bunch of stuff on her computer then a check was printed. She looked the check over and verified the amount then signed the check. She then called her supervisor and he came over and checked her computer screen then the check and signed it as well. She handed over the check and I checked the amount and then tanked her and put it in my wallet. Dennis then drove us home. When we got home me and Dennis went to our room and locked the door, then I went to the closet and opened the wall safe. I took the check out of my wallet and put it in the safe and locked it. "What do you keep in the safe?" "Not much. Checkbooks, the title to my car, my birth certificate, my other birth certificate, my social security card and my emergency cash fund. Also Dad kept my old driver's license and my credit and debit cards in it when I was growing up." "Can I see your old driver's license? Did you look really old?" "Sorry but I burned that when I got my new driver's license when I turned 16." "Darn, I wanted to see if you were old and gray." "I was only in my 40s." "Ok, well anyway we should get started on dinner, Dad will be off work soon." We went out and I started on dinner. After dinner we played cards. Dennis told his dad and Alex about the closing date. Alex asked if he should go with us. I told him it's not very exciting, we just sign a stack of papers and they hand us the keys. But if you want you can come with us when we go for the final walk through with the realtor tomorrow. The next day Dennis and I were a little... how do you say... bouncing off the walls excited. Tomorrow was closing and we would have a bigger house to raise kids in. It seems odd. After all, I've owned my house since before Dennis was born. Dennis has been a homeowner since Christmas. Yet we were so excited we couldn't sit still. I was cleaning stuff that was clean. Dennis was out removing weeds from the lawn and washing the car. After lunch we went over for the final walk through with the realtor. Alex came along. I introduced Alex to the realtor as my brother-in-law and they shook hands. We went through the house. This is just a formality to show that nothing has changed between the time we saw it and closing. Alex had never been in this house and was really impressed. "These rooms are huge. How big of a TV are you going to put over there?" "Actually, this is going to be a work out room for Den so he doesn't have to go to the gym. We're going to have the couches and TV in the living room as it has a fireplace we can light in the winter." "Wow, your own work out room, can I use it too?" "Of course, we are family, just not at night." "Wow, these bedrooms are huge. What are you going to do with all this space?" "Fill it with kids." "Y'all are getting kids?" "Not immediately but Den and I want to get kids when he finishes college." "That will be so cool. I'm going to be an uncle." "Ya, well Uncle Alex, Den needs to finish college first before he becomes a daddy." I saw Dennis grin at the word daddy. I'm not sure if it was because it is a sexual term or if he really likes the idea of being a father. "I get it, just can't wait." After we finished the walk through we signed the form and went back over to our house so I could start on dinner. Alex followed us over, he was going to be coming over for dinner anyway. He and Dennis sat on the couch and played against each other on the Switch. After dinner, Alex couldn't wait to deliver the news of his impending uncleship. I reminded him and told everyone else that it was only after Dennis completed college. Mr. Peters said we could always get started earlier if we want. We have a vacant room in the rental house and I'm not going to school anymore. I wonder if he is just as impatient to become a granddad as Alex is to become an uncle. He has a point, but I don't want to rush into kids, I want to be stable first. Well, I am stable already. I earn a salary that will continue until I'm 25 then I will receive retirement income when I turn 27. But Dennis isn't, he is still in school. Which doesn't necessarily mean he is unstable, but he doesn't have a job yet. Not that he needs one, I make enough for us both to live on. Wow, it's like I'm talking myself into getting kids already. Friday, Dennis and I went to the title company and signed the papers. After everything was signed the realtor gave us the keys and we left. When we got home we told Marty everything was good and handed him the keys. He will be changing the locks so we won't need them until he is finished. The next day was a Saturday so Alex and Sally came over to swim. Me and Dennis ganged up together to dunk Alex. Ok, I was no real help but to distract him while Dennis did the dunking. It was funny, but then Alex dunked both Dennis and me. After we got out of the pool, me and Dennis started on our shopping list. Dennis wanted us to go to the store later this time so there would be more people around to see how I reacted. So we were off to the store. There were a whole lot more people here than normal. It was crazy. I stuck closer to Dennis than normal. I was feeling just a little uneasy, but it was manageable. We saw they had some 4th of July stuff out. That's a couple of weeks away, we will have to talk to everyone to see what we are doing for it. The checkout was packed. My uneasiness was worse here. I guess I am better when I'm moving than if I'm stuck standing still. I had to hold Dennis' arm for a bit to calm down. Dennis said if it got too bad we could leave. I told him I would be ok as soon as we got out of here. Once I was in the car I was feeling better. We drove home and put the groceries away. At dinner we asked everyone what we were doing for the 4th of July. Marty said he could rent a picnic table and we could have a cookout. Everyone seemed to like that idea so it was agreed to. On Sunday morning when we woke up, me and Dennis went online and started to pick out furniture for our new house. It was agreed that Marty would keep this house so he would also be keeping the furniture. I thought it was a great idea. With him next door he could come over to protect me when Dennis was at work and at night he is close enough to come over right away if we need him. And with Mr. Peters right across the street we had a pretty strong support system. Mr. Peters and Marty had spent time Saturday measuring the rooms for us so the furniture we got would fit. We went through and got couches and chairs and a coffee table and end tables for the living room. We got a huge dining room table that would seat 12. We got some stools for the breakfast bar in the kitchen as well. We got a King Size bed and desk for the master bedroom and double beds for the three other rooms as well as dressers and desks. Once all that was ordered I made lunch. After lunch Marty and Mr. Peters went over to the new house to change all the locks. I also asked them to put a lock on the master bedroom door. It took them a couple of hours then they came back and handed us our new keys. I asked if they made copies for themselves, they did. To be continued...
