Chapter 8 back home

"Yes if you don't mind, there is some soup in the freezer and some fresh bread in the bread box and I have some dumplings on the stove so that should keep us going." Dad remarked.

"I will get the soup started then?" Golan announced. It was 20 minutes later when Golan said that dinner is on the table. Dad walks out just in his boxers and said thanks for making dinner. "I see you are not wearing much for dinner." Golan said to his dad. "Yeah I know, I tell you the same thing but today was a long day so I don't care." Dad muttered as he waited for Golan to sit down before prayers were said.

The week goes by and now school has started again. It was a short school break due to all the schools in New York City are shut as all the teachers had to have teaching lessons themselves. "Oh man, I hate school." Joshua moaned as he walked into the school grounds.
