First time writing a space fiction and I hope this part will turn out great. Donate:http://donate.nifty.org/ ------------------------------ He escorted us to lower deck D and we took a seat. All of the passengers here in this deck were kids our age. What happened while I was gone?! "Attention. We are to execute warp speed in a short notice. Please be prepared." An announcement said as the other folks strapped a seat belt and wore a helmet. Carl and I did the same. We were a bit confused. Why are we in a starship? Where and what planet are we on?! "What planet am I on?" I activated the unlocked search option in my GC chip. "Planet Yulos, the 4th planet of the star Velperius. You are en route to planet Obraxia, 7 thousand light years away." Oh fuck. We're in deep space now and earth is a million light years away. Carl and I were still baffled as the ship announcer told us that we were to go back to work. My GC chip was in work mode now. Means, I can't communicate now. There were people of all ages in the decks. From around 10 to at least 60. My GC chip says that we're 7 months after I escaped 2165. Wait, they implemented child labor while I was gone? After warp speed, Carl puked and felt seasick. "First time using warp speed, eh? Happens to the best of us. Anyways, did anyone told you 2 look like....wait....GC chip, show me Roman History." A boy approached us. His name was imprinted on his uniform. His name was Terry. He was shorter than us and had unsteady hands. "Ah! You 2 look like the celts that had an affair with Brutus! It's kinda weird though. Hello, Carlton and Stanley, am I right?" He said. What the?! How did he know our names?! Oh, the uniform. It was connected to your subconscious, so they can read your mind what your real name was. We nodded as he grinned at us. I needed some answers so I commanded my GC chip to display what happened over the past 7 months. "Displaying, 2165. OXCorp genetically modifies some willing humans to be their test subjects. Their plan was to make humans evolve through breathing carbon dioxide, but it failed horribly. Humans that were injected by their serum became highly evolved. Coming back to earth is highly illogical. The EUCLIDEAN company assisted their last colony ship, 023. There are 4 billion passengers aboard the ship. Planet Obraxia is another target." The GC chip displayed imagery of the monstrosity the OXCorp done. They stopped supplying oxygen and the humans are now an endangered species. Those evolved humans became scorpion-like and they said that they'll not hesitate to kill you. Some people are still stuck on Earth and still hoping for a saviour. Wait, if most people are here, then my family might be here! I grabbed Carl to the restrooms to have a talk. I told him everything that happened. "Whoa! This is one of those mutated games that I played and also a bit of a biopunk sci fi category. How are we going to find your family, though? It's not like there's a central computer that tracks every single passenger aboard....wait." Carl said as his idea was perfect! "Carl! You're a goshdarn genius! But, only the captain is allowed to use it though. It seems like that we're in the low-class here. How are we gonna do this?" I asked as my mind was trying to think of a solution. "Attention, crew. We are to land the Obraxian land. Research teams on all decks must be the first to venture. Please be sure to ping every knowledge you can gather in Obraxia." The announcement said as Terry grabbed us to the tele-transporter room. "Eee! I'm so excited! They say that Obraxia is filled to the brim with plants that have organs! Organs! Anyways, where are your PDAs? Our GC chips are useless there. There's some PDAs in the lockers. It's free to use if you're in the research team! Hurry up, you 2! I don't wanna be late on my first day on the job!" Terry said as he pushed us to the lockers. "Um, Terry, why are you helping us? You just come out of the blue and help us. You need something, do you?" Carl had some suspicion about him. "I'm the research team supervisor for fuck's sake! I'm trying to help your sorry arses so you won't get sent to a deserted planet. Anyways, a supervisor never yells at his crew mates. Just, get the PDAs. You 2 seem to have forgotten about the lectures. No worries, I'll ping you the learning modules." Terry said as we got our PDAs and he pinged the module to our PDAs. We went back to the tele-transporter as Terry fiddled on the controls. Carl and I were a bit relieved that we weren't in ancient times anymore and finally, we have internet. I'm a bit worried though. I have the portal maker with me, uncharged. Where is Phil? He was definitely destined to 2165. Maybe he was a couple of days or months late. When you fire up a portal to a certain year, it doesn't really tell you what day or month it is. "Transporting in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...." The machine revved as we felt every single bit of ourselves dissolve as Carl and I were terrified. "Relax, you won't feel anything after this." Terry said as we crossed our fingers and closed our eyes. (Planet Obraxia, First Contact) We opened our eyes. We saw things that our eyes couldn't believe. What the... "How the fuck did we got here?!" Carl shouted in excitement as Terry giggled. "Science, Carlton. Our atoms were dissolved and reconstructed in a different location. Hence, transportation without the hassle." Terry said as he cleared the bushes. We were in a deep forested area. He wasn't kidding when he said the plants had organs. They even have veins and "blood" that's basically sticky and slimy fluid coming from the plants. And, as usual they were red. We readied our PDA as we scanned the geography. Rugged, has a ton of canyons and ravines, rivers that extend throughout the whole planet and has no oceans, only lakes. We were at 41. 43. 76. 87. It was temperate and it just rained. Their water was basic and slimy. We continued to document the flora around the area. "Hey! I found an undiscovered species here!" Carl yelled as Terry and I ran towards him. "Ooh! That's good news, Carlton. Outta my way!" Terry pushed me and Carl as he documents the plant and transports it back to the ship. "Hey! Not cool, man! He definitely found it first!" I said, helping Carl get up. "Sorry. Look, we all need money around here. You have to take what you can get, mate. They'll pay you if you find undiscovered specimens." Terry said. "Wow. Greed. Greed really does drive humanity to it's evil state." Carl said as he was groaning and pain and called me. Terry followed us and apologized about it. Carl was scraped by that sharp plant there. His wound was pretty deep. Terry had a linen cloth and wrapped it around Carl's leg. "Look, I'm sorry folks. How about I make it up to you? You 2 are not like the other guys here. You 2 seem like the best of friends here. If we find an undiscovered species, we share it okay? 33-33 for all 3 of us. How does that sound?" Terry said as he winked. I suppose now that I'm back in 2165, I basically need money to survive. We accepted the offer. Terry smiled and grinned at us. His smiles were like relieved and I don't know why. It's like he felt safe around us. "Hmm. I suppose rocks and minerals may worth more than plants. There's a nearby ravine. Let's check that out first." I suggested. Obraxia had never ending rains and the path was really slippery. The atmosphere was so dense and we needed to use a flashlight even though it's noon here. If Phil was here, he may have joined the researching team as well. As far as I know, he loves to geek out on things. "Um, Terry. Do you know someone by the name of Phil?" I asked, hoping that he may know about Phil. "Which Phil? Phil Whyte, Phillip Schofield, Philbert Wills, Phil Truman? There's a lot of Phils in the research division." Terry said but none of them were Phil. Yeah, I forgot to include the surname. Wait, as far as I know, he doesn't have one! He only goes by the name of Phil and nothing more! Drats! He may have changed his name. "Uh, nevermind. Let's keep going. The faster we gather knowledge, the faster we'll get back on the ship and find my fa..." I said as Terry covered our mouths. "Shh..." He whispered as shrieks and screams were heard from a distance. Holy shit! What the fuck was that?! The screams were getting louder and more violent. "Wait. Isn't this planet supposed to be neutral?" Carl whispered as Terry silently crept to take a peek. "Stay here, you 2. I'll go check it out." He whispered. Carl hugged me tightly as I can feel that he was scared. Okay, if this is one of those alien movies where the one that "takes a look" dies, we need to follow Terry. I signaled Carl that we would silently creep and follow Terry. He disagreed as I grabbed him. Terry saw us and told us to keep quiet. The screams were replaced by machinery revving. What the hell? We used the PDA to analyze and zoom the surroundings. It turns out there was a humongous mining ship there. Wait, they're illegally mining minerals here! This planet was off-limits unless you get a permit from the Interstellar Races of the Milky Way. These guys killed some of our crew mates and the EUC-LID directive told us to be cautious as they're sending help. "Ryllons. They are the most non-compliant race in the whole galaxy. They don't give a shit about rules. We have to get outta here. They'll kill those who get in their way!" Terry silently said as we slowly walked away. "Attention Research members. Please be alerted to stay away from alien races as we are sending help to your coordinates." The PDA alerted us loud and repeatedly. It was enough for us to be heard by Ryllons. "Run!" Carl shouted as some of our crew mates ran away swiftly. The Ryllons were trying to beam us using their blasters. They were terrifying, not gonna lie. We split up as we kept running. We had some advantage since Ryllons are known to have low endurance. I kept running and running. To be frank, I never ran like that in my entire life. Probably because we only used pneumatic transportation back then. We saw each other, convinced that the Ryllons weren't following us anymore. "I...think....uhh... we're lost. They busted the control-net satellites." Terry said. We were led to a tall mountain as we heard engines revving nearby. Oh fuck. We were surrounded by Ryllons. All of them had blasters, ready to fire at us. "Please. Spare them. As their supervisor, please. I want them safe." Terry said with a sad and droopy face as the Ryllons were still pointing the blasters at us. "Oh. I forgot they don't do deals with other races. I'm sorry mates. I hope I'll do better choices next time." Terry said as his face turned from droopy, to relieved. It's like he wanted to die. What the fuck?! Carl hugged me as we kissed. "Stanley. Surely you have a plan to save us. You always have a plan. I believe in you." Carl said as he held my head close to his. The Ryllons were disgusted by it. Homophobic much? We closed our eyes, holding our hands as we heard a blaster getting fired. "Ack. I hate it when this thing gets jammed!"....what the fuck?! That's..."Stanley! Carlton! I'm glad to see you 2 here. Anyways, aren't you gonna stand up there? The Ryllons are still after us y'know."... It's Phil! I hugged him in relief. He hugged me as well as Carl stopped him from kissing me. "Phil! Oh my goodness! I thought you were a goner! Why didn't you save us when we were stuck in ancient times?! Ancient Times, Phil! Stanley had to have sex with a historical figure to keep us safe! And what are you doing? Huh? You look like you've been beaten up by a couple of men! Why didn't you save us?! You had the fucking portal maker! You could've just used the remaining power and save us!" Carl said angrily as I tried to calm him down. "Okay, Carl. Chill out, okay? There must be a reason. Just, sit down and I'll sort things out. It's all in the past now." I said. He smiled warmly at me. "Phil. We need to talk." I said. "Okay, sure. Look, I'm sorry okay. But what the hell are you doing here?! OXCorp wants you and a lot of people are looking for you! You know what, it's fine. You're in deep space now. Why the fuck did you bring Carlton with you?! He needs to get back to his timeline! He already saw enough!" Phil said as he unravels his starship. "Just get in. We need to go." He said, pulling me, Carl and Terry aboard. "Look Phil. It's my decision to go and help Stanley fulfill his destiny. It's my choice, okay? He needs me. Also, please explain why you didn't have the fucking balls to save us from Ancient Rome." Carl confronted Phil as all 3 of us argued. "I had no time to save you! OXCorp has men all over the place and luckily I just escaped Earth!.... Wait, did you say ancient rome?" Phil said. "Yes! The heat was intense, locals aren't friendly and we almost died there a couple of times! If you think that you're suffering, think again! Stanley had to put Brutus's cock inside his asshole for the past month in order to keep the timeline in it's state!" Carl said too much as I covered his mouth. "You.....Oh my...Stanley! You interfered with history?!" Phil said. "You said it yourself, Phil! Desperate times call for desperate measures! You didn't save us! We needed to do what we needed to do in order to survive!" I stood my ground as Terry tried to say something. We told him to shut up as we continued our argument. "It's all your fault, Phil!" Carl said angrily. "Oh shut up, stowaway! If it wasn't for you, Stanley and I would still be together!" Phil pointed his finger on Carl. "Aw, shut up! Stanley never loved you! Spoiler alert, I'm the one he loves!" Carl said loudly as Phil's face became angry and droopy at the same time. Oh great. Another drama. --------------- TO BE CONTINUED
