Andrew liked
having a routine. When he got up in the morning, he got dressed, brushed his
teeth, combed his hair, then had breakfast. Andrew was not obsessive about it.
He did not have to have the same breakfast every morning or wear the same
clothes on the same days. He just felt better when he knew what to expect.
It was a relief
for him when classes finally started. He understood why the school had wanted
them to come early. The school wanted them to acclimate themselves. Andrew
would have preferred if they had just arrived with everyone else. Still, he had
a schedule now, and he was happy.
Of course, the
school schedule was different. Every class was 45 minutes, except for math and
science. Those alternated making a double class. The days they were not doubled
up, he still had a standard class. The day was not really any longer than a
typical school day. It was just structured differently. Then there were also the
clubs. During lunch, he signed up for the chess club and the robotics club.
Before coming to
school, he had printed out a few day planners with his schedule overlaid. The
45-minute block schedule after school had been left blank. He dutifully filled
them in with the club activities. Once those were filled in, he scheduled time
for a little homework he had. Excessive planning he picked up from his parents and
he liked it that way.
With all his stuff
done for the day, Andrew headed back to his dorm room. There was still a little
time before dinner. As he opened the door, he noticed Billy sitting at the
table working on something.
"Hey."
Billy said, turning his head slightly and nodding.
Andrew untied his
shoes and placed them to the side. "What are you working on?"
Billy tightened a
wing nut and held up the little contraction. Andrew could not help but think of
a sandwich. There were two pieces of wood on opposite ends, followed by two
pieces of padding and an egg in the middle. The whole thing was held together
with four bolts.
"Figured I'd
give it a test drive. Do you want to come?" The boy said.
Andrew gave the
little device a skeptical look. It made sense but was very crude. "Sure,
how did you get the wood like that?"
"It was in
the scrap pile in the supply room," Billy said, getting to his feet.
"Let's go throw this around for a bit."
Andrew nodded and
went back to the door to put his shoes back on. They had the same tech class,
so Andrew had seen the supply room too. It had a lot of stuff in it, but Andrew
had not looked at the scrap pile.
Students were
allowed outdoors after class hours. Unless a team was practicing, they could go
anywhere within the fenced-in area. That included the parking lot, which was
mostly empty now. There were always staff members on campus, but it was mostly
empty with less than a half-dozen cars there.
Andrew was
thinking of how to test it when he heard a loud crack and looked over at Billy.
The boy had tossed the device about three feet away and was walking over to
pick it up. "No cracks." Before Andrew could say anything, Billy
flicked it again, sending the thing up into the air over their heads. It
crashed to the ground a couple of steps away.
"You weren't
kidding when you said you wanted to throw it around." Andrew said. He would
have preferred a more thought out approach.
"It's not
going to be the final design. The holes are too close to the edge. They're the
failure point. I'm more just thinking about the padding. Do you want to give it
a throw?"
"Sure, why
not." Andrew said, trying to flip it as Billy had, but not being the best
coordination, he sent it straight up. They both had to scramble not to get hit
by it. Andrew was about to apologize, but Bill's laughter stopped him.
"Careful, I
don't want egg on my face!" Billy said before flinging the thing halfway
across the parking lot.
The two of them
threw it around for a few more minutes. Somebody yelled at them to make sure
they were throwing it away from the cars. That was the only comment they
received. Throwing things around the parking lot was not that unusual to see.
Eventually, a
piece of wood went flying off when the thing landed on a corner. They both ran
over and Billy picked it up. "Yeah, see it broke right where the hole
was," He said, holding it up. Frowning the blonde boy added, "The egg
cracked too."
"Let me
see." Andrew ducked down so he could see where the other boy was pointing.
The crack in the egg was small. "Yeah." that was all Andrew could
think to say.
"I bet it's
scrambled too. Let's crack it open a little more and see how the yolk
looks." Billy said, looking around. "You see where that piece of wood
got?"
Andrew scanned the
parking lot and spotted it. The peace that ended up near one of the cars. He
retrieved it. When he turned back to face Billy, the other boy was already
heading towards the fence on the far side of the parking lot. He ran over to
catch up to him.
"What are you
doing?" Andrew asked.
"I'm going to
crack it open," Billy said, reaching the fencing. He held his little contraption
in one hand and the egg in the other. "Here, hold this?"
Andrew took the
contraction instinctively. "Should we do that inside over a sink or a
garbage can?"
"Why?"
Billy said, taking the egg in both of his hands.
"Because
that's littering. I don't want to get in trouble."
Billy gave him a
strange look before crouching down. "It's an egg. It'll either decay or be
a snack for something."
Andrew looked
around, trying to see if anyone was looking at them. Nobody seemed to be paying
them any special attention. However, that did not make him feel any better.
Billy did not give
Andrew any other thought as he crouched down. The blond boy started applying a
little pressure to the crack, making it open a little further, breaking the
shell here and there. Then there was a catastrophic failure. The egg exploded.
"Shit! Damn
egg goop." Billy grumbled, shaking his hands.
Andrew felt a
little vindicated. "If we'd done it by a sink, that wouldn't be a
problem."
Billy shot him a
dirty look. "Yeah, be a pal and put that stuff back in the supply room.
I've got to head to the bathroom."
Like a scolded
puppy, Andrew retreated into himself. "Sure, I'll get the door for you too."
he offered.
"Thanks, but
I got it." Billy wiped his hands on the ground.
The ground
consisted of mostly dirt with patches of weeds and grass growing in it. Andrew
thought the other boy's hands came away looking worse. He helped Billy to get
to the bathroom and went to the supply room to drop off the stuff. He went to
dinner and ended up sitting with some people that were in the chess club. They
were talking about other things, but at least they did not mind his presence.
When he arrived
back at the dorm, Miles, Tyson, and Billy, were settling in to watch something
on the projector. Season 3 of The Mandalorian. He joined them even though he
had only ever seen season 1. Billy was not angry at him, but he did not go out
of his way to say anything. Andrew
wondered if he was mad or not.
As Andrew climbed
into bed that night, his thoughts were dwelling on Billy. His track record with
making friends was not a good one. It was a secret reason for wanting to come
here. He had an unfortunate habit of annoying people. With the school being
smaller and the dorm room situation, he thought it would be more comfortable.
His last school
sucked. Being the smart kid had not been the best thing for him. The few people
he had managed to befriend ended up not liking him for different reasons.
Andrew had just wanted to start again. He could change his circumstances.
Andrew was not so sure he could change the outcome.

For Tyson, the
best way to begin the day was also the best way to end the day, and that was
masturbating. His hand slid up and down his nearly four inch erection. He loved
how it felt. He started casually playing with himself, allowing the blood to
flow and fill his penis. Then he pulled his boxers down, allowing for easier
access. Slow strokes became faster and faster. He could feel his muscles begin
to tense up. That was always a great moment. Then shortly after that, there was
that tingling. The feeling he felt he needed to chase down. Then climax. Not ever
quite the same. Funny how in the morning those woke him up and at night could
help him sleep. The facts he was still dry probably helped too, no messy
cleanup. It was going to happen, but he was in no rush for it.
Getting out of bed
just seemed more relaxed after orgasm. It was so strange for Tyson to wake up
not in his bed. The first day, he had been too nervous to do it, at least until
after that little experiment with the sound to make sure the walls were thick
enough. That night he had gone back to his routine.
That was about the
only routine of his that was surviving. Of course, he had expected that. It
just felt weird leaving his dorm to eat breakfast. Grabbing a small box of corn
flakes, he took a spoon and found an empty table.
They were maybe twenty-five
other kids in the cafeteria. Some of them were in groups, and others barely awake.
A couple of them were still wearing some sort of pajamas. He wondered if he
could get by with just his boxers and a shirt.
When Tyson was
about a quarter of the way done with the box, he spotted Levi coming into the
room. The older boy walked casually, scanning it. Tyson gave him a little wave.
"Mind if I
join you?" the older boy asked even as he put his tray down.
"It's a big
table." Tyson said, gesturing to all the empty spots.
"Yeah,
thanks. How are you guys settling in?" Levi asked as he sat down.
Tyson gave a
little shrug. "No complaints. Still feels a little weird."
"It takes
some time," Levi said, scooping up some eggs. "Just as long as you're
not late for your first class."
"The PA
announcement certainly helps." Tyson said.
"It's woken
me up a few times," Levi said with a little smile. "No problems with
the bathroom yet?"
"I have an
older brother and two sisters, one older and one younger. So far, nobody is
spending thirty minutes working on their hair. Although Andrew can get
close." Tyson said with a smile.
"There always
seems to be one. Nice to know there are no problems." Levi said, looking
around. " I was curious about the question you asked me."
Tyson's attention perked
up. "Yeah, I haven't had any luck."
That was true, but
it was not like he had been trying.
"Well, are
you looking for someone your age or anyone?"
Tyson considered
the question. He was not a virgin, but most of the time, it happened with older
boys. "Either, I guess. I mean, I don't want a senior."
Levi nodded.
"Well, maybe I can help you out if you want me to. There's kind of this
club. It's not official. Just you know people getting together and messing
around."
Tyson's attention
was now entirely on Levi. He nearly jumped out of his chair when he heard
another voice.
"Morning,
mind if I join you?" Billy said, coming up to the table.
"No, not at
all." Levi kicked one of the chairs a little further out. "Just
checking on you guys to see if everything's going okay."
Tyson was growing
fond of Billy, but at that moment, he could have stopped him with a spoon. He
turned to say something but came up a little short when he saw the other boys.
"Did you leave any food for everybody else?"
"I'm a
growing boy, and I'm in the habit of skipping lunch." The boy said with a
grin as he brought his plate down stacked with pancakes.
"You eat like
that every morning and the only growing you're doing is outwards." Tyson
said. He counted at least five pancakes.
"Well, the
lunch lady was a bit distracted. I wanted to see if I could sneak a few extra
pass her." Billy said with a little laugh as he took a sip from his orange
juice. "Look at what you have, though. No wonder you're short."
Tyson was chewing
and thinking of a comeback when Levi spoke up. "Why do you skip
lunch?"
"My mom's a
cook. Like at a restaurant. I guess when I started to go at school, I couldn't
stomach the school's food over hers. I kind of got used to skipping
lunch." Tyson said with a little shrug. "The stuff is better, though.
Still, habit."
"My dad's a
cook too. He and my uncle owned a restaurant together." Levi said.
Billy smiled, and
Tyson had to admit there was something cute about it. "My mom tried to
teach me to cook a few times, but I don't have the patience for it." Billy
said.
"I like
cooking." Tyson said, "I don't think I would want to do it all the time,
but it can be fun."
"Guess you go
for the short-order?" Billy said with a little smile.
"I'm not that
short. I just decided to grow my brain first. If you're not careful, you'll end
up like a Diplodocus big thing with a tiny, tiny brain."
"Dinosaur jokes?
Now that's old. You need to evolve your jokes."
"All right,
you look like an ostrich." Tyson said, the first thing that came to his
mind.
"Now that's
foul."
Tyson winced
dramatically. "That was bad. To the penitentiary for you."
"Do the two
of you do this a lot?" Levi asked, breaking into the flow of the
conversation.
Tyson had almost
forgotten about the older boy. "No, I don't think so."
"It kind of
reminded me of my parents, a little an old married couple," Levi said
shoveling some more food onto his fork. "It was kind of cute."
"No, I'm just
adorable no matter what I do." Tyson said before realizing how that
sounded. "I'm going to redshift out of here." He announced getting
up, having finished his cereal.
"Somebody
likes the Discovery Channel." Billy commented.
"Curiosity
stream," Tyson said, turning around and walking backward. "I'll catch
you guys later."
Tyson made a
mental note to try to see Levi so they could have the rest of that
conversation. It sounded interesting. Unfortunately, that opportunity did not
arrive until after school. He saw Levi walk down the corridor to the dorm
buildings. The older boy was with someone, but Tyson decided to approach
anyway.
"Levi, can I
ask you a question?" Tyson asked, picking up his pace a little coming up
from behind.
The older boy
glanced at him. "Is this about that thing I was talking about
earlier?"
"Yeah, I just
had a quick question," Tyson said, sparing a glance over at the other boy.
He was a little shorter than Levi with a round face and Asian features. Maybe
Chinese, he could not tell.
Levi slowed his
pace allowing most of the mass of students to pass them by before gesturing
towards one of the study rooms. "In there."
Tyson went into
the room. It was little more than a table with a few chairs around it. The
floor had carpet, and the windows had a view of the trees. By the time he
turned around the door was being closed and he was surprised to see the other
boy had followed them in.
"Tyson, this
is my friend Dan. He's in the group. I can kick him out if you want." Levi
said.
"You're
always so nice." Dan said, crossing his arms.
Tyson gave the
other boy a look up and down. "I guess it's okay. You didn't tell me
much."
Levi looked a
little nervous as he took a seat in a chair. "There's not much to say.
It's a group of guys who get together and mess around. It's just for fun, so
it's not like you have to do anything you don't want to do."
Tyson looked at
the two older boys. "How many boys are in it?"
Levi opened his
mouth, but Dan was the one who answered. "It's not too easy to say. Last
year we had twelve members at the last get-together. I think one time now we had
something like fifteen at once. People come and go. Sometimes people pair off
and do their own thing. There are only three real rules."
Tyson crossed his
arms and waited.
Levi answered.
"First, it's a secret, so don't tell any teachers. We would all get in
serious trouble. Second, you never have to do anything. The third thing
is..." Levi trailed off.
"Everybody goes
through the initiation," Dan said. "It's just a little hazing ritual.
We don't want anyone in the group who only wants one thing; I guess you could
say."
Tyson's knowledge
of hazing was spotty at best. At best as he could figure out, it was a bit like
bullying, but somehow different.
"What would I
have to do?"
"You would
strip naked and have to suck somebody off there in front of the others,"
Dan said. "We try to initiate as many people as we can at once. If there
are fewer initiates than people there, everyone else will get to cum on
you."
The way the Asian
boy said this was a bit sheepishly like he was embarrassed.
Tyson stared at
him for a minute before looking at Levi. "Okay, then what is it?"
Levi leaned
forward looking embarrassed. "We get together sometimes and just mess
around. The major advantage of being part of the group is you can approach
someone. You don't have to worry about them reacting badly or freaking out.
There are a few other things, but you don't have to do anything."
Tyson waited a few
seconds wondering if there were going to be any more forthcoming with
information. After about ten seconds, he nodded. "All right, I'm in.
When's this initiation thing?"
Tyson could not be
sure, but Levi did not look happy with the answer.
"Tuesday, you
can have the weekend to think about it. You can change your mind." Dan
said, moving a little closer to Levi. "Can you try to enjoy this? He's the
one you told me about, right?"
Tyson was not sure
if he was supposed to overhear that, so he commented on it. "What did you
tell him about me?"
Levi was quiet for
a moment. "It wasn't so much about you. It was more that one of the people
in my group is interested in finding someone to mess around with. I didn't
mention your name."
Tyson took a step
closer to Levi. "I appreciate you telling me about it. The only negative
about coming to the school was I would have to find someone to mess around
with." He waited to let those words to sink in. "I'm glad. Thanks for
telling me."
Levi smiled, maybe
not feeling any better, but appreciating the effort.
For Tyson, the
rest of the day flew by. With no homework except for a little reading, he went
to the rec room. After watching some kids older than him playing a game, he was
introduced to Carcassonne. That passed a few hours, as did a pickup basketball
game. By the time he retreated to his room for the night, Miles had already put
some something up on me projector. He watched a little bit of that and thought
about the egg project. Eventually, he went to his room to work on it, planning
it out.
It was only then
he realized he had received a message on his phone. He smiled when he saw it
was his sister.
Dizzy36:: Little
bro, did you forget about me?
He typed back.
TysonG:: I called
last night. You were busy.
Dizzy36:: And not
a single text
TysonG:: Okay,
sorry
Dizzy36:: Too busy
drooling over all the boys I bet
TysonG:: There are
a few
Dizzy36:: Oh, do
tell
Now that he said
it, he had to think about it. Telling his sister about the club was on no-go.
She already thought he messed around too much. Then something from this morning
came back to him.
TysonG:: He's
tall, blond, and funny
Dizzy36:: Sounds
nice, does he have a name?
TysonG:: Billy
There was a long
pause.
Dizzy36:: Do you
have a chance with him?
TysonG::
Statistically unlikely
Dizzy36:: You're
being the brainy little brother
TysonG:: That's me
Dizzy36:: Well, I
do hope you find a real boyfriend
There was a rebuke
in that comment, but he could not hate her for it.
TysonG:: Yeah, you
too
Dizzy36:: Why do I
love you again?
TysonG:: Because
I'm adorable?
End of part 3.
