Review from the last chapter:

They watched tv for a little while and soon Kevin had both boys cuddled to him. He held them for a while and decided to skip the reading time they were supposed to do. He held them both until it was Stevie's bedtime. By then, both boys were sound asleep. Instead of carrying them upstairs, he adjusted the cushions on the love seat, and then set both boys together on it, and covered them with a blanket. He set the extra cushions on the floor in front of the loveseat, just in case one rolled off, as he always did, to make sure his boys were safe.

Kevin went to bed, not long after. He was not looking forward to the call to the principal, and he was supposed to give Jane an update on how Hobie is doing. He also has to get Hobie from school early and take him to see the therapist Kevin uses for the boys, and then schedule an appointment with the pediatrician Kevin prefers so he can get the meds Hobie is on adjusted and slowly off the ones he really does not need.

Then he has to figure out what the event and plans for the weekend will be since there is a storm warning so spending the day at the park or lake is unlikely an option for Saturday. It's going to be a long day. Adding to the stress, his district manager will be in the store in the morning. What a Friday this will be.

 

Friday morning came too early for Kevin. He got the boys changed, fed, and ready for school.

"Hobie, I will be picking you up early at school. I will pick you up at about 1:30 pm. Stevie, Kam will be walking home with you, since he will be spending the weekend still. Please don't get into any fights or such. If the bullies are bugging you, ignore them if you can, or get a teacher. Understood?"

"Yes Sir." Stevie replied.

Kevin headed to work and dealt with his district manager visiting the store and complaining about the same things he always does. Once he left, Kevin called Jane and gave her a brief update on Hobie. He told her all was fine and no problems. That he was starting with Stan, the therapist Kevin preferred to use, and between Stan and Dr. Shelby, he was hoping they can adjust his meds so he is not sleepy in the daytime. He did not mention the issue with the bullies, as he figured he wanted to talk to the principal first about it.

Kevin headed to pick up Hobie and get him to meet with Stan.

Hobie was unsure what to expect. He had seen a therapist before, and she wanted him to tell her everything and when he complained about stuff, she told the foster parents everything. Which meant he got in trouble with them when they left. But Kevin had told him that Stan was a very nice person, and if Hobie asks him to keep what they talk about private, he will do that, unless another child is in danger or at risk of being hurt by someone.

"Hello, you must be Hobie. It's nice to meet you, young man. I'm Dr. Stan Christiansen, but you can call me Dr. Stan if you prefer." With that Stan escorted Hobie into his office so they could spend the next hour talking. During this time Kevin called the school to talk about what happened yesterday.

After being on hold for a few minutes Kevin was able to talk to the principal.

"Good afternoon, I hate to bug you but it seems we have an issue with some bullies assaulting my boys. I dropped off the paperwork earlier this week, showing I am now the foster father for Hobie Jones. Yesterday Stevie and Hobie were attacked by 2 bullies. It seems they started bugging them on Monday, but the boys were able to avoid them until yesterday as they were leaving the school to walk home."

"Hello Kevin, do you know the names of the bullies by chance?" asked Principal Hansen.

"I believe Stevie said the leader was Butch and the other was his follower."

"Butch and Dave I would guess. They normally are getting into trouble together. Can you tell me anything that happened, so I have some knowledge to start my investigation on?"

"It seems that the boys were leaving school when the bigger boys grabbed them. They called them faggots, and that really upset Stevie. Since the bigger boys had ahold of both of them, I guess Stevie gave Butch a headbutt, and then a swift kick. Hobie said he brought his feet up and kicked the one holding onto him. Hobie is currently meeting with his therapist, but Stevie is still at school, so if you want to talk to him, I am sure he will answer your questions. Especially when you tell him you talked to me and I suggested you ask him for details."

"I will do that. Butch did not come to school today. I have not seen Dave, but will check to see if he is here, and might call him in also. I appreciate the call to give me the heads up. I don't tolerate bullying in my school, and any kind of homophobic slurs. I will keep you in the loop as to what I find out and if I have to talk to you anymore. I am sorry this happened Kevin and that it seems the only time we talk is because of issues like this. I prefer talking to the dedicated parents about positive things, not the negative ones."

"Thanks. I will let you get back to work. I now have to figure out what to do for Stevie's birthday this weekend, since he is having his cousin and Kam spend the weekend. The rain that is expected tomorrow has put a damper on the plans I had to go to the park. Thanks again and you can email me if that is easier also. Have a great weekend."

Next Kevin scheduled Hobie an appointment with the pediatrician Kevin takes his boys to, and Stan also suggests. While Kevin was on the phone, Hobie and Dr. Stan were busy talking.

"Hobie, I know Kevin will have told you this, but I want to make sure you understand how I do things. What we talk about is between us. I won't tell Kevin, or your social worker anything we talk about unless another child is in danger or is being hurt. Then I have a duty to report that. Otherwise, what we talk about is private. I know some therapists don't take our duty to keep what our patients tell us private when it's kids. But I do. I give you the same respect and protection I would give Kevin if he was my patient. Does that make sense? I know you are 8, and if I say any stuff you don't understand, please tell me so I can explain it better for you."

"Yes Sir. But I am scared because in the past when I told the lady therapist I had about what I was feeling or what happened at school or in the foster home, she told my foster parents and I got in trouble or moved. I have not been at Kevin's house for long, but I like it there a lot. He is really nice and treats me like how my friends' Dads treat them."

"I was told before that you have to give a report to my social worker, and that you have to tell her what problems I am having and stuff like that. But if you don't tell her what I said, then how does that work?"

"Well, I have my notes in my file. I will get your file from your old therapist now that Kevin has signed the paperwork so I can have it sent to me. In my file, I put important notes about things that are bothering you and what you and Kevin, and others are doing to help you deal with those issues. The report I send to your social worker every month or 2, will just have simple statements like: Hobie is a bright young man, that is dealing with a lot of stress. He is concerned about having a safe and loving home to live and grow up in. He seems to be doing well in school and gets along well with his foster brother, Steven. His foster dad, Kevin, has said that Hobie is a sweet boy with a big heart, who cares about others and wants to do the right thing."

"Really. How do you know all that about me, we have only talked for a few minutes?"

"I talked with Kevin the other day about you and how you are fitting in, and if he had concerns about anything. He gave me a few topics we should discuss when you are comfortable with them, but I figure you will need to trust me more before we touch on them. So for now, can you tell me about how things at school, and what happened yesterday?"

Hobie spent the rest of their time talking about the bullies, and then about school, his favorite subject (science), and how he is trying to read Harry Potter, but it's got lots of big words which are kind of hard to figure out. Stan gave him some feedback and suggestions but in general they just talked about fun stuff so that Hobie could see that Stan was not a threat, and was in fact on his side.

Kevin was glad to see Hobie come out with a smile on his face, and he did not look like he had been crying. Sadly, he knew that in the future, when Stan starts asking and digging for the hidden hurts, Hobie will come out as a hurt little boy, but that in the long run, it will help him heal and hopefully get himself adopted into a great home.

When school was done, Kam and Stevie walked home together. Both were happy that they did not see Dave or Butch at school. It turns out both boys were home for the day, and Butch might be a few more, because of his hand. However, several other kids had seen what happened, and the rumors about Stevie and Hobie betting up the bullies got around. A few kids asked Steven about it, and he just said it was no big deal, and that he got in trouble at home for fighting, so he should not have done it. But he did it because Butch had grabbed him and that meant he was allowed to protect and defend himself. Kam tried to keep the ones that wanted to talk about it, away from Stevie. They had lunch together and then walked home together talking and laughing and wondering what the plan was for the weekend.

When they got home from school, Stevie had to change. His diaper was soaked. He always wore them on Fridays because it was spelling test day, and other tests often too. His diaper allowed him to focus better on his school work and the tests. It was a suggestion Stan had come up with that has helped Stevie get his grades up a lot over the last year or so.

Both boys went upstairs to Stevie's bedroom. Kam offered to change Stevie and asked if he could wear a diaper too. Stevie agreed to both requests.

Once in the bedroom, the boys started to strip. Luckily their shoes and backpacks were downstairs by the front door. Once Stevie was down to his Pokemon boxers over his size 6 pampers, and Kam was in his Superhero undies, they just looked at each other. It was clear both boys were very erect. Kam had a tent in his undies and Stevie had a tent in his very soggy diaper.

Kevin dropped Hobie off at the house because he had to run to pick up the pizzas that they would have for dinner and the ice cream they would want for dessert. He knew Stevie would be home, so he told Hobie to go hang out with Stevie and Kam until he got back and then they could help him set up a few things. Had Kevin known what Stevie and Kam were doing, he would have taken Hobie with him to get the pizza.

Hobie entered the house, and set his stuff by the door, next to Stevie's backpack. He heard noises upstairs so he figured that they were playing upstairs. He was correct, but they were not playing what he was expecting them to be playing. He thought he would try to surprise the older boys, so he slowly climbed up the stairs. He was not sure why they were moaning and grunting. He thought maybe they were wrestling or something. When he got to the top of the stairs and walked over to the room he shares with Stevie, he stood frozen because of what he saw.

On the floor were their clothes and Stevie's wet diaper. On the bottom bunk was Kam with his head on the pillow and his butt up in the air on his hands and knees and Stevie was pushing into his butt over and over.

Hobie knew what they were doing. It was what Tim; the older foster brother had forced him to do. But it sounds like Kam likes it. He is a little scared because he likes the older boys but does not want them to hurt him like Tim had hurt him and forced him to do sex stuff with him and Brandon.

Stevie tried to hold Hobie to calm him down, but he pushed Stevie away. He was holding onto Kam and crying. Kam realized that Hobie was holding onto him and crying turned on the bed so he could sit down. He pulled Hobie into him and held him. He told Hobie "I am ok, so please calm down. Take deep breaths."

It took a few minutes until Hobie had calmed down. At this point, he realized that his pants were wet, and he was very embarrassed. Kam saw the look and calmly said "Hobie, I need a diaper, and so does Stevie. Why don't you wear one with us, so we are all the same? Okay?" He gave a small nod to Kam but did not want to let go of him yet.

Stevie got up and got the diapers and supplies. He was concerned about how Hobie reacted, and what Kevin will say when he finds out. He took a few wipes and cleaned up the puddle on the floor from where Hobie wet himself, and then the trail to the bed where he is now. Finally, Hobie let go of Kam. Kam then started to undress Hobie. He got him out of his wet pants and undies, then his wet socks, and finally his shirt that also had a wet spot on it now. Hobie went to cover up his privates, but Kam brushed his hands away.

"Hobie, we are all naked, so it's no big deal. We are all boys and have a willy and nuts. Don't worry. Besides you will see ours more when you help diaper us. Now let us get you into a diaper." With that said, Kam stood up and laid Hobie on the bed. Then he had Stevie give him the lotion and diaper. Kam very tenderly and caringly got Hobie lotioned and diapered. Hobie was still upset by what he saw and thought was happening that even when Kam lotioned him, he did not get erect. Once Hobie was all padded, Kam helped him up, and then he laid down so Hobie could help Stevie diaper him. They got Kam changed and then did the same to Stevie.

Just as Kam and Stevie were going to talk to Hobie about what he saw and what they were doing, they heard Kevin come home and call for them.

They went down to help with the supplies for the sleepover. However, when Kevin saw Hobie he was concerned. He could tell he was crying and looked very upset. He also was not standing next to Stevie, in fact, he was on the other side of Kam so he was not near Stevie at all. This is unusual and not a good sign.

Once the goodies were in the kitchen and the ice cream was in the freezer, Kevin sent the boys to play video games for a few minutes. However, he asked Stevie to help him for a few minutes. Once Kam and Hobie were in the family room and the TV was turned on, Kevin sat at the table and pointed to the other chair, so Stevie would sit in it.

"What happened? Kam looks like he has been crying and is upset. He doesn't seem to want to be near you? He was fine when I dropped him off, so I need to know what happened."

Stevie did not want to disappoint Kevin, and he did not want to get in trouble, especially with his sleepover for his birthday and the problems that happened yesterday. He sat there looking at his feet for a few seconds, until Kevin put his hand on his shoulder, and said "Hey Bud, talk to me, I cant try to help you boys if you don't talk to me and tell me what happened."

"I'm sorry. It's my fault. Kam and I went upstairs and were going to get our diapers on. But we both had stiffies and so then we started playing with each other. Kam sucked on me and then he wanted me to do him. We were doing it and left the door open, and never heard Hobie come in. He came upstairs and saw us doing it, and got all upset. He told me to stop hurting Kam and tried to pull me off him. He was so upset he wet his pants. After we stopped, he just held Kam and cried. I felt bad and confused. I was not hurting Kam, so I don't know why he was upset.?"

"Stevie, What I tell you now, you can not tell anyone, not even Kam, understood?"

"Yes Sir"

"When Hobie came here that early morning it was because the foster mom caught him and her son, doing things. Her son blamed Hobie for it all and the mom believed him. He had been forcing Hobie and another boy it seems for a while and in doing that he was hurting them. I guess he remembered how much it hurt when he saw you boys doing it and thought you were hurting or forcing Kam, just as his foster brother had done to him."

"That is so sad. If I knew that I would have been more careful. I'm so sorry Kevin. I like Hobie, he is like a little brother and is cool and stuff. I don't want to do anything that would hurt or make him feel bad. How can I fix this?" asked Stevie as he was starting to cry.

"You can't fix this. There is to be no more sex this weekend. The only exception will be if you both take a shower together and then it needs to be quiet. In fact, I think you all will be sleeping in the family room. Just to be safe, but also to make it more of a true group sleepover. Okay?"

"Okay. I'm sorry that I screwed up and upset Hobie. If I can do anything to help him or fix it, I will. Just tell me what I need to do."

"Let's go join Kam and Hobie. I think we all need to talk about this before John gets here."

"Kam, Hobie, when you guys are at a save point, I think we need to have a talk."

"Okay Kevin, we are almost to the next save point." Said Kam.

A few minutes later the game was saved, and Kevin had the boys sit on the sofa. Hobie moved to the side of Kam, which put Stevie on the other side of Kam.

Poor Hobie is still in shock and is dealing with his own demons from what Tim forced him to do, and how he feels about it. Will this hinder the friendship between Stevie and Hobie in the long term, or will they get it fixed? Will Hobie continue to see Kam as a special friend that shares his pains and a kindred spirit? Only time will tell. What about the bullies?
