Not So Grown Up - Part 1

                                                by Sam The Ham

-------------------------------------------------------

Henry paused his game when he heard the doorbell ring. The thirteen-year-old was not expecting anyone, but his mom was. When he opened the door, there were two boys. The older of the two boys had rung the doorbell while the younger one was still on his bike. For a second, Henry tried to place them, but they were both younger than him.

"Hi, I'm Ashton, and that's my brother Mason," the older boy gestured over his shoulder. "Do you have a little brother?"

Henry stared at the two boys for another second before shaking his head. "Sorry, I'm the youngest here."

The smile on Ashton's face fell. "Oh, sorry. I thought because of the playground set, there might be someone for my brother here."

Henry shrugged. "It's an old set."

"Do you know if there are any kids our age around here? I'm 11. Mason is 9."

Henry recalled his school bus ride. "There's a girl about a mile up the street—the place with all the greenhouses. I'm not sure how old she is, but I think she's only a grade beneath me. There might be somebody your brother's age a little past the library."

Henry could tell that his news was not what the boys wanted to hear. "Are you the guys who moved into the O'Keefe place?" He asked.

That did not seem to mean anything to either of them, but the older one pointed. "We moved into the yellow house just up the road."

Henry nodded. "Yeah, that was the O'Keefe's."

There were a few seconds of awkward silence before the younger brother finally said something. "How long does it take to get to the library from here?"

"Going there about 10 minutes coming back maybe 15, it's mostly uphill."

The brothers looked at each other. After a few seconds, Ashton slowly looked back. "I suppose you wouldn't want to play?"

Henry was about to say no, but Ashton was looking so sad, and it was kind of cute. "I have a basketball hoop in the back if you want to play a little."

Ashton tilted his head to the side and smiled. "Sure!"

"Ride your bikes around back. I'll get the ball. See you in a minute."

Ashton flashed a quick smile. "See you in a minute."

Henry closed the door and ran to the back of his house. His house was built into a hill, which gave it the appearance of a one-story building from the front. The garages and the workshop were in the basement, which would appear to be the first floor at the back. Putting his shoes on by the back door, he headed downstairs and grabbed the basketball from the shelf before going out to the basement door.

The brothers were already by the free-standing basketball hoop. Mason was still on his bike, looking further down the gravel cover driveway. Ashton had dismounted and looked over when the door open.

"Do you have a pool?" He gestured down the driveway.

"Yeah, but I'm not allowed to go in there by myself." Henry answered, starting to dribble the ball.

"And that green building?" Mason asked.

"It's my clubhouse. I wanted a treehouse when I was little, but my dad was worried about that. He built that for me instead."

"Can I see it?" Mason inquired, slowly getting off his bike.

"Later, do you guys want to play horse? I mean, there's three of us." Henry suggested.

"Sure." Ashton said.

Henry bounced the ball to the older brother. The kid took a shot, and it bounced off the backboard and into the hoop. His little brother darted forward and got the ball taking his turn next.

"Why do you have such a long driveway?" Ashton asked.

"When my parents moved here, there were two trailers back here. My dad doesn't like dealing with renters, so he had the trailers demolished when they moved out. One of the families used to have a kid my age, so I wasn't happy. When you're young, and you live this far out, having a friend over is a bit of a hassle. Usually, you must get one of your parents to drive you. I think that's kind of why I got the clubhouse. To cheer me up."

"Yeah, that was one of the reasons I wasn't happy about moving," Ashton said. "Mason too. We used to live in the development, so seeing a friend was never more than a short walk. My best friend lived across the street, and Mason used to have a friend on our street and another one just down the cul-de-sac."

Henry was not exactly sure what a cul-de-sac was, but he got the draft. "So why did you guys move?"

"Dad got a new job, so we had to move. Our parents wanted to be energy independent, so they wanted to have enough land for solar panels." Ashton said with a shrug, taking another shot. This time he missed.

Mason was fast getting the ball before it got too far. The little kid bounced the ball for a bit and moved to the side. "No backboard." He announced before taking a shot. The ball landed on the rim and spun a quarter of the way around before going into the net.

Henry looked over at Mason, who crossed his arms and smiled. The boy moved aside to let Henry take his shot. He got it in, but only because it brushed up against the backboard.

"That's an H for you." Mason announced as his brother retrieved the ball.

Ashton smiled as he walked over with the ball. "He's really good at basketball. He was on the team and everything."

"Good thing I didn't bet anything on this." Henry said, moving aside. Ashton completely missed, which at least made Henry feel a little better.

"Is there a basketball team around to join?" Mason asked as he went after the ball.

"Not that I know of. There's baseball and soccer now, but that's all I know. I play baseball." Henry said just as Mason made the same shot on the other side. Henry grimaced a little.

As Henry went to retrieve the ball, he remembered something. "You're nine, right, Mason?"

"Yeah, but I'll be ten before the school year." the boy answered, waiting for Henry to walk over to where he was to try a shot.

"Well, I think at least one of my teammates has a brother around your age," Henry said, bouncing the ball over before he turned to face the basketball hoop. "If you can come, it's at the park. Other than that, I think your best bet would be just joining something like Boy Scouts to make friends before school starts." He took the shot in this time and made it.

Mason was quiet. "I'll think about it."

The three continued to play horse. Henry had to admit that Mason was rather good. After they finished the game, Henry suggested a three-way game. Basketball was not Henry's best game, but Mason was fast, surprisingly good. With Ashton there, it frequently became two against one, which made it reasonably competitive.

The summer heat was starting to kick in. Their game came to a sudden stop when a car rolled down the driveway crunching the gravel underneath. Henry grabbed the ball and waited as his mom pulled into the driveway. Instead of just pulling into the garage, she stopped and rolled down the window.

"Hey, who are your friends?" She called out.

Henry came over, the other two boys keeping their distance. "Hi, Mom. They moved into the O'Keefe house. They saw the playground set and thought they might find someone here."

She nodded. "Well, as long as their parents know they're here. Can you take a break to help me unload? I bought a lot."

Henry nodded and stepped back, allowing his mom to pull into the garage. He told the boys he would be back in a minute, and Ashton volunteered himself and his brother to help. The groceries took two trips. As Henry helped his mom put the groceries away, she offered the boys drinks.

Henry sipped on a lemonade, watching his mom politely interrogate the boys. His mind started to wander. He absent-mindedly asked, "Would you guys like to go swimming?"

"Yeah!" Mason said almost immediately.

Ashton was a bit more cautious, looking over towards Henry's mother to get a nod before pulling out a phone. "I'll see with my mom where our bathing suits are. I don't remember packing mine."

The answer came about two minutes later. When the phone made a sound, Ashton looked at it. "She's not sure where they are."

Mason made a disappointed sound.

Henry took another sip of his lemonade and thought of suggesting, but his mom beat him. "I think Henry might have an older suit still, but you guys could just go in your underwear. Henry's friends do that sometimes."

The brothers looked over to him, and Henry just shrugged. "Sometimes, they forget their suits. It's not a big deal."

"I don't want anyone to see me in my underwear." Mason complained.

Ashton did not say anything, so Henry decided to try to sway the boy. "It would just be your brother and me. Mom won't look right?"

"I can help you take off the solar cover and put in the ladder. After that, I'll just keep an eye on you from the house." She offered.

"Come on, Mason, it's hot!"

Mason pursed his lips together. "Okay." The youngest boy said reluctantly.

Henry went to get towels for the three of them, deciding to swim in his underwear to make them feel a little more at ease. They all walked down the driveway, past the basketball hoop, and another two hundred feet. His mom helped him take off the pool cover, and he put in the ladder. The pool was above ground at four feet. The land was uneven, but his dad had built a little platform to help keep the ladder stable. Henry's mom went back to the house as he led the brothers into the clubhouse.

The clubhouse was sort of two-story. But at thirteen, Henry could not stand up inside of it. Ashton could touch the ceiling. There was a real door salvaged from the dump and the shutters on the windows were makeshift, made from plywood. There was an open spot and the ladder built into the wall led up to the next floor. Mason had to look, so they all went up top. There was no roof there, but the walls were high enough that Mason could barely see over them.

"This is awesome!" Mason said, trying to look down.

Henry guessed it was. He was used to it, like his friends were, and seeing Mason's reaction was kind of refreshing. "Yeah, we used to have sleepovers out here. Nerf battles too. One or two people inside everyone else attacking."

"That sounds like fun," Ashton said, looking over. "Do you think we could try it sometime?"

Henry shrugged. "I guess." He and his friends had not done it for a while, but it had always been fun. "I want to go swimming now."

Mason had to look over each side before heading back down. Once they were back on the first floor, Henry quickly stripped down to his underwear. He was wearing dark blue boxer briefs and wondered what the brothers would be wearing. He did not try to appear to be too interested. Ashton was wearing a pair of tighty whities, while Mason had Hulk underwear. Henry did not comment, just grabbed his towel, and made his way into the pool, doing a cannonball at the top of the ladder.

The brothers were hesitant at first but quickly forgot they were just in their underwear. After a little messing around, Mason suggested Marco Polo, a game Henry had not played in a long time. After that, they took turns competing against each other by throwing and collecting diving sticks. Unlike basketball, Mason was consistently coming last.

When they started taking turns jumping in, Henry began having a little problem. Ashton's underwear was becoming semi-transparent. It was also very clingy. He could not help but look at the boy's butt; it was very noticeable. Henry even tried to look at the front but could not make out much. It got to the point where he had to opt-out of jumping and just watched. Even Mason was not bad looking. He did not have any baby fat, which was funny because his brother had a little bit of a tummy. Henry could not help but feel his own belly absentmindedly. He was doing a hundred sit-ups a day now, but he did not have visible abs yet.

Eventually, everyone settled down, including Henry's erection. It was Ashton who suggested that they get out. Henry let them back over to the little clubhouse, drying himself off with his towel. "We can set up time for a bit? I don't really like putting on clothing when I'm still wet. Feels weird."

"Yeah, showers in the morning aren't fun," Ashton said.

"Yeah." Mason agreed.

"What are you talking about? You still take baths." Ashton responded.

Mason's response was to try to kick him. Henry did not say anything. He took them inside and brought them up to the top laying his towel down and sitting on it. The other two boys did the same, Ashton sitting cross-legged like he was. Mason spread his legs out and leaned against the wall.

Henry did not know what to talk about. It had been fun, though, just doing stuff again. Mason suddenly pulled his underwear back and looked down at it. Henry would not have said anything, but Ashton laughed a little.

"Getting hard?" The older brother teased.

Mason shot his brother a dirty look. "Shut up."

Ashton rolled his eyes and turned his attention towards Henry. "He pops them all the time."

"Shut up, little dick." Mason stamped.

Ashton reddened for a second. "Oh, shut up yourself." The older brother looked over at Henry and then away. "Sorry, you didn't want to hear that."

Henry stared at them, genuinely surprised. "You guys know about that stuff?"

Ashton just shrugged. "We shared a room. We saw each other naked when we were getting ready for school. It's not a big deal or natural. You got one in the pool, didn't you?"

Henry felt his face flush. He thought he had concealed it. There were a few seconds before Henry just gave a little nod, acknowledging the accusation.

Ashton smiled and looked a little embarrassed himself. "It is fun to make them go down, though, isn't it?"

Henry looked over at Mason, who had pulled his legs in closer towards his chest. If he was trying to conceal that he was getting excited by the topic, the little boy was failing. Henry could see a slight bulge, and he was starting to feel a familiar tingling.

Ashton misinterpreted the look. "He knows all about it. We had contests to see who could do it first. Could be fun to do it with three people."

In the back of Henry's mind, he had sort of been wanting to see what the other boy had. It was just he had been expecting to be initiating it. Still, after that surprise wore off, he did wonder, could it be that easy?"

Henry swallowed before he spoke. "Well, I mean, if you're okay with it."

They were. All three boys moved up onto their knees and came a little towards the center of the clubhouse. They pulled their underwear down on three. Puberty was just getting its claws into Henry. He had a little peach fuzz. There was not much, but the other two were both still bald. Their sacks were both tight. There was a difference, though. Henry was not sure initially, but he watched as the other two played with themselves, getting their weenies hard.

Henry was four and a half inches long. Ashton had the shortest. Mason, the little brother, had at least an inch on him and looked to be thicker too. It was such a surprise that Henry caught himself looking back and forth between the two of them. It took him a few seconds to realize the brothers were staring at him and not just his erection.

"What?" Henry asked.

"I said do you want to do a countdown?" Ashton asked, smiling.

"Oh, yeah. 123 go!" Henry said quickly to get over the awkwardness.

And they were off. Henry wrapped his hand around his erection, fingers tight, pulling his uncut cock back and forth. Mason was using two fingers and his thumb. Ashton was only using his thumb and one finger. Nobody said anything, but there was the occasional squeak from a board, and their breathing.

Henry was the first to climax. The little gob he shot out was mostly clear. He sat and watched the brothers finish up. Ashton was second, and Mason finished nearly a minute after his brother. The youngest boy's face was so flushed. It looked like he had run a marathon. In a post-orgasmic bliss, Henry and Ashton thought that was funny and laughed off some of the nervous energy.

Ashton started chuckling as he pulled up his underwear. Henry followed right after. Mason did not seem to be in any rush to cover up. The younger boy was smiling. Mason did not know what was funny but figured it was better to pretend to go along.

It was not long until Henry wanted to get out of there. "I'm going to get a drink. Anyone want anything? I can bring it back."

Both brothers requested more lemonade. Quickly going downstairs, he slipped on his shorts and started jogging towards the house. His mom was not in the kitchen. Thankful for that, Henry began to get the drinks, going for squeeze bottles over cups. He was still in a bit of a shock. Henry had seen a few of his other friends, mostly just catching glimpses here and there, but he had never been able to do anything like that. He had tried a few times, but it never worked. Then without even trying, it had just happened. It was weird. He wondered if they could do it again.

Going back to the clubhouse was a bit slower. Henry put one squeeze bottle in his pocket and carried the other two, one in each hand. By the time he was climbing back upstairs, he could feel something had changed. The brothers were sitting close to each other now. Mason was whispering something. Then he stopped when Henry climbed up the ladder all the way. He hesitated, handing them their drinks before sitting down himself.

Ashton gave him a nervous smile. "Thanks."

Mason looked at his brother and gave him an elbow to the side. "Ask."

Mason might have intended that to be subtle, but Henry could hear him. "Ask me what?"

Ashton shifted his weight back and forth, obviously nervous. "My brother, well, I guess we both want to know something." Ashton hesitated before adding more. "You've been really nice to us, and we would like to, you know, keep hanging out. We want to know something."

Mason made a noise, nervous himself.

The older brother lowered his voice a little. "We have two dads. Is that going to be a problem?"

For a second, Henry tried to force the question into something else in his mind. Like maybe their mom had been divorced or something, but that was not it.

Henry looked down at the floor. The thing was, he did not know anyone who was gay. Nobody around here. When they had had the trailers here, two of the renters were brothers. At least that is what his parents had always told him when he was little. Now he was not so sure. His parents had always been nice to them, inviting them over to dinner and things. Looking back, though, he was not sure if they were brothers. Maybe they had been, maybe they had not been. He gave the two boys the honest answer.

"I don't know.".
