His first thought was who the fuck was calling this early on a Saturday morning? He woke up slowly, stretched and considered dozing back off to sleep. Although his dick was hard, he should probably take care of that first. Both those plans were quashed by the gentle knocking on the door. "You awake Ben? Can I come in? Let me know when you're ready" his Dad said. Ever since the "incident" a couple of months back as Ben called it, his parents knew to knock when the door was shut. Neither Ben nor his parents wanted a repeat performance. Ben thought his Dad seemed to find it funny but his mum was pretty shocked. I guess she hadn't expected to walk in to see her son with his hand on his hard dick wanking himself furiously . The embarrassment had taken a good few weeks to go but now everyone pretended it hadn't happened. Although door knocking was very much the thing from now on! "Yeah I'm awake Dad, you can come in" Ben said, shifting his duvet to hide any sign of his morning wood. His Dad walked in and smiled, "morning sunshine. Sorry to wake up so early, I know you wanted a lie in" "It's ok Dad, the phone woke me up" "That's what I'm hear to talk to you about, it was the police. Your friend Sam has been reported missing, seems that he's run away. They wanted us to confirm if we'd heard anything" "What?! Shit. We better do something" Ben said urgently, aware he'd sworn out loud but this was fucking serious, Sam was one of the most important people in Ben's life. Probably his best friend and if he was in trouble Ben would stop at nothing to help him. He swung his legs out of bed and looked for clothes. "Er Ben, better put that away before you take someone's eye out" his dad said pointing at the hard dick Ben had forgotten about. Ben blushed but started to pull pants on. "What can we do? I've not heard from him for weeks. I was already really worried. I phoned the number he gave me once but the man who answered said Sam didn't want to talk to me. Where would he go? Why has he run away?" Ben said to his dad, he didn't seem to be listening though, instead he was staring thoughtfully at the photo standing up against a book on Ben's desk. "Is that Sam?" His Dad asked pointing at the photo. "Yeah he sent it me last year, why?". Ben asked curiously... Peter realised as soon as he saw the photo that it was almost certainly the boy he'd seen in the park yesterday. This couldn't have been a coincidence, it must mean Sam was trying to find Ben. Maybe he was still in the park? It only opened half an hour ago. If they hurried they might find him. "Get some clothes on Ben, we have a mission. Sam might be nearby. You'll have to take care of that later" he said with a grin pointing at Ben's tenting pants. Peter liked to make fun of Ben and his teenage hormones although his son would usually give as good as he got. "Don't worry Dad, I will, it's not like I don't get a lot of practice" Ben said with a giggle throwing the rest of this clothes on in a hurry. A few minutes later Ben and his Dad were rushing towards the park with his Dad explaining all as he went. Ben had persuaded his Dad not to phone the police for now until they found Sam and also found out why he ran away."Something doesn't add up Dad, Sam wouldn't come all this way unless he was in trouble." "You might be right but unless we find him soon he might be in more trouble" his Dad said increasing the speed of his stride pattern, Ben almost had to jog to keep up. They entered the park which was quiet for a Saturday morning, everyone was still in bed or having breakfast Ben thought slightly jealously. But he had Sam to find, and nothing was more important to him than that. Further inside the park, Sam had barely slept, the sounds and strange noises of the park at night had meant he'd been awake until day break. He'd then fallen asleep for a short while. It was now gone 9 and the park was beginning to have signs of life. Sam had already had the ignominy of having to do a shit in a bush and use leaves to wipe himself barely clean. He knew he needed a shower, and a bed to sleep in. Feeling resigned that neither of those things would probably happen unless he went home or handed himself in to the police he thought about his options. He'd give himself half a day to find Ben, then if not find a police station and hand himself in. He'd tell them about James but he wasn't sure they'd believe him, and even if he did he might end up in social care which he'd heard bad things about. He sighed, picked up his bag, left the bushes and suddenly had the most euphoric moment of his life. Ben and his dad headed through the park, scanning for signs of life. As they rounded the corner to reach the bench where his Dad had last seen Sam, a boy came out of the bushes. Everything went in slow motion for Ben as he realised it was Sam who hadn't yet recognised him. Ben was already running at full speed towards Sam when he saw the realisation in Sam's eyes that it was Ben, then smiles of relief and joy split their faces as Ben gave Sam a massive hug and he kissed him on the cheek. "I missed you so much, I was so worried when I heard you missing" Ben said, tears softly running down his cheek. "I missed you too, you're the only person I thought could help me" Sam said, then had a flash of recognition as he saw the man approaching who was clearly Ben's dad. "Well Sam, you've caused a lot of worry to your parents and us. The police are looking for you as you've been reported missing. I suspect we have a lot to talk about so let's get you home. I suspect you could do with a sleep and certainly with a shower" Peter said, noticing the flash of worry on Sam's face when he mentioned "parents". Hmm, something to investigate further Peter thought. "Yeah he's a bit ripe Dad" Ben said giggling and slapping Sam on the back. "Hey you try sleeping out in a park for a night and see how you smell" Sam said giggling back. They both beamed at each other, suddenly all was good with the world.. Half an hour later they were in Ben's room, Ben's dad had prevented any conversation about what had been going on with Sam and why he was here until he'd freshened himself up. Ben got Sam a towel for the shower and said he'd lend him some clean clothes while they washed the by now pretty filthy clothes he'd been wearing. Sam started to strip off, his back to Ben. While Ben's eyes were drawn to that cute looking bum that Sam had just revealed, he couldn't help but notice lots of bruises. Some new, others older. Ben felt sadness and some anger, it was obvious this was more than just the bruises you get from playing sport or messing around. Sam also looked a bit thinner than he should be Ben thought. Clearly, there was more to this and questions to be asked. Not now though, Ben thought, best to let Sam take his time. Sam wrapped a towel around him, hiding that bum and meaning Ben had no chance of seeing what Sam's dick was like. Ben chastised himself, stop thinking about your best friend like that. Fuck, should have had that wank earlier he thought. Sam luxuriated in the hot water hammering down on him, the shower revitalising him. He finally felt clean. He got out the shower, pick up the soft thick towel and dried himself off. He felt a lot better, well a lot cleaner if nothing else. What would happen now though? If the police were involved then they'd probably just take him home. He should tell someone about James, tell Ben but he couldn't think straight. He was pretty exhausted though, yawning as he headed back into Ben's room. "Here, why don't you put these on and then have a nap in my bed, you look exhausted. We can chat when you're rested" Ben said throwing him a pair of boxer shorts which Sam caught with one hand and then gave a theatrical flourish which they both giggled at. "Good catch, I bet you're good at ball play" Ben said with a wink. Sam couldn't tell if he was being smutty or serious. He looked at the pants he was holding, definitely a nicer quality than what he used to. "Don't worry, they're clean" Ben said with a wink and they both giggled. Sam turned his back, dropped the towel and pulled the pants on, giving Ben and eyeful of that cute bum again. He turned round, Ben tried not to look down to see if there was a bulge in Sam's pants. Sam climbed into Ben's big double bed and almost instantly fell asleep. Ben looked at his sleeping friend for a few minutes, sighed deeply and headed downstairs. "I've put Sam to bed for a bit, he looked exhausted" Ben said to his parents, as they sat in the kitchen planning the next move. Ben was suspicious about Sam's bruises and wanted to find out more as soon as he woke up. "We need to let the police know he's been found, his parents must be having a breakdown about it" His Mum said. Ben wasn't sure though, it was time to tell his parents his suspicions. "I'm not so sure Mum, Sam is covered in bruises. Like loads of them. Some old, some new but something is going on". He said firmly. "Be that as it may Ben, but we have to let the police know he's safe so they can stop looking. However.....let me chat to one of my work contacts there first. I might be able to play it so they know he's safe but also that he can stay here tonight until we have more info" Ben's dad said. As his Dad was a lawyer Ben knew he had high level friends and contacts in the police, he'd let him handle all that, his only worry was Sam. Finding out why he was here and what the fuck had been going on would be a good start he thought. At least for now Sam was here and safe and well, but Ben was desperate to find out what was really going on. A couple of hours later Sam woke up to see Ben sitting on the end of the bed watching him. "Sorry did I wake you?" Ben asked. "No, how long have you been there?" Sam replied with a sleepy smile. He liked the way Ben smiled back at him, lighting up the room with it, his blond hair catching the sunlight at the same time, giving Ben an almost angelic look. Sam saw Ben's smile fade and a more business like approach take over. "A while Sam, just watching you sleep. You obviously needed it! I've got questions, well we've got questions. My Mum and Dad. The police. They have been in touch with my Dad after your parents reported you missing." Ben looked serious as he told Sam this, he noticed a slight wince or spasm of something, fear maybe, cross Sam's face as he mentioned his parents. "Shit. I guess I've caused a right mess. How did the police know to call you though?" Sam asked in confusion. "Well I guess your parents said you might have come to see me" "Yes but how did they know where you lived? Your number? I've not heard from you for months, that's why I ended up at your old house. I guess you weren't getting my letters either" Sam said slightly sulkily. Ben was puzzled, they'd only moved a couple of weeks ago. "Well that's weird Sam, I've been sending you weekly letters and gave you our new address in the letters. I even phoned you and spoke to a man who said you didn't want to speak to me." He said, now also confused. Ben then decided it was time to cut to the chase. "Anyway Sam, very weird, that's one to think about and work out what the fuck has been going in with the bloody post! Now you're awake, are you feeling well enough to talk things through? Can you manage to get up and tell my parents at the same time?" Sam was silent. Part of his story was easy to tell although he'd definitely leave out the sex stuff with Marcus. But how could he tell Ben's parents what he'd done with James, they'd probably kick him out the house. Would Ben hate him when he found out? Maybe it was best to just keep that bit to himself Sam thought. But then again if he didn't tell the truth then would he just be sent straight home. No. He needed to be strong, to fight back against James. He knew Ben. Well he thought he did. He hoped Ben would stick up for him. "Ok. I've got answers for you I guess. But it's going to be really hard to talk about. Some things.......I dunno if I can tell anyone. I'll try but can I just tell you first?" Sam asked Ben hopefully. Ben smiled at him, "Ok, take your time, don't worry, short of telling me you've been murdering puppies there's nothing you can tell me that will make me change how I feel about you. And even then it depends on the breed of puppy" he said hoping to get Sam relaxed and to lighten the mood. Ben didn't get a giggle out of Sam, or even a smile but at least he did start to get Sam's story. Sam took a deep breath and started to tell Ben everything, well as much as he felt comfortable with. How much he hated his step dad. How he was a perv. How he used to be rough with him and hit him a bit too much. "Any hitting is too much" Ben interjected taking Sam's hand and holding it tight. Sam continued, it was hard to tell Ben how lonely he was, how he didn't have any friends apart from Ben. Sam was worried he sounded like a whiny teenager but ploughed on, how his Mum ignored him. Then that she'd had a baby before he got to the really really difficult bit. "So er, James came back from the hospital. Bollocked me for not cleaning up. I thought he was going to beat me but then he started being nice. But then......too nice. Wrong. What he did. It wasn't right, maybe he thought I wanted it? Maybe I led him on but I didn't stop him. I let him do it to me. Then afterwards I knew he'd do it again and make me do other things, worse things with him. I felt so dirty I had to escape, get out of there. I had nowhere else to go apart from find you. Luckily Marcus found me outside your house and I spent the night there and he helped me get to Dulwich even if he didn't know where you lived." Tears flowed down Sam's face as he told Ben his story. Ben hugged Sam close, feeling dampness on his shoulder from Sam's tears. He pulled back, " Mum and Dad need to know what he did exactly, and the police do too. I can guess but I need you to tell me." Ben said looking into Sam's eyes. He felt terrible for making Sam tell him and mortified that he felt a stirring in his pants as Sam told him about what James had done to him. That faded as deep inside Ben was a guttural rage, an anger at what Sam had been through, what James had made him do. Then it was over, Sam had told all and collapsed exhausted on the bed. Ben lay next to him, holding him close. He was trying not to think of how close they were, he could feel Sam's heart racing next to him. Inappropriate wouldn't be the right word for getting an erection this close to Sam. After all he'd been through Sam deserved better. Ben tried to ignore his hormones and let Sam doze off again. If Sam thought telling Ben was tough, it was even more mortifying telling Ben's parents. Luckily Ben was there to support him and to fill in some of the blanks Sam couldn't get the words out for. By the end everyone was in tears, even Ben's dad. It was cathartic for Sam to tell his story but once it was finished he knew it wasn't over. And it wouldn't get any easier. Luckily some decisions were taken out of his hands, Ben's dad took charge, this was his line of expertise and he explained what he thought should happen moving forward... Sam lay wide awake in bed that evening despite feeling exhausted, his mind full of thoughts keeping him awake. Ben's Dad had phoned the police and told them they'd found Sam, he'd told them that James had molested him and that was why he ran away. He also told them that Sam had been through a lot and that he'd be staying with them for now. The tricky question was what happened next. The police would interview Sam and then arrest James but it was only Sam's word against his, as with most sex crimes there wasn't any physical evidence. Sam wasn't sure he could manage to go through all this, he just wanted it to be over. He'd happily never see his Mum or James ever again. He felt lonely and lost in the spare room. He'd wanted to sleep with Ben but it had been decided Sam should sleep in his own room tonight to catch up on sleep. But as he couldn't sleep anyway he wished he'd insisted on sleeping with Ben, sleep was a long time coming but eventually he drifted off.. When Sam looked back at those first few days at Ben's house he wondered how he survived it. The humiliation of the police interview. The sleepless nights. The stress of finding out whether he'd be legally allowed to stay with Ben and his family. Starting a new school even if Ben was there to help him. But time was a great healer and a month on, with the summer holidays starting, he started to feel better about things. Ben was an even better person that he hoped, looking out for Sam, being a shoulder to cry on. Introducing him to his friends at school. Generally just helping Sam adjust to his new life, he hoped that this was now his future and things would continue to improve. There had been a few setbacks along the way though. Yes James had been arrested but it seemed like the police might not charge him. It was Sam's word against James and Sam's mum was effusive in defence of James. Ben's dad had at least got Sam's Mum to agree to allowIng them to legally adopt him. It would take a bit of time but eventually he'd be a member of the Parker family, he'd have a a family that actually cared for him. If the price of that was James getting away with it, well he just hoped he'd not try it with some other boy. School had been up and down, he'd made some new friends but also was a bit of a black sheep with his strong Yorkshire accent. The school was in a well off area where a lot of the boys seemed to have unlimited money which Sam thought seemed to amplify their dickheadness, Still, getting away from it all and spending some time away with the family would be nice. They were heading off to Spain at the start of the summer holidays, foreign holidays weren't something Sam was particularly used to and he hoped it would be the tonic he needed. There was another thought in his head that kept rearing up. He also began to think it was time to be totally honest with Ben, not now, but soon. As he thought about it, maybe on holiday would be a good time. Away from school, more relaxed. If he was going to do it then that would be the best time. It also gave him a bit longer before having to have the tricky conversation which Sam was pretty relieved about, he knew he couldn't put it off for ever though.
