This story is about sex between boys and is therefore a total fantasy. It was written by an adult for the entertainment of other adults. No children or animals were either involved or harmed in the writing of this story. Please leave now if you are not supposed to be here.

Writing the continuing saga of the Kids of Indian Spring has become a real community effort. My original intention was to conclude the Sandy Jacobs Story after Chapter 10. But my primary co-author and invaluable assistant, Pietar, convinced me that the many loose ends left open by the original author, Jonas Henley, needed to be resolved. As a result, he became the principal author of Chapters 11, 12, and 13. Thank you Pietar for your original ideas, brilliant writing and your continued dedication and commitment to this project. Now a third author, Nick, has volunteered to take on the role of crafting the future long-term direction of the story. You may recall that Nick was first involved in Chapter 12C. Please ensure you make Nick welcome by dropping him a line.

Wednesday July 9th – Rory Mackey's House

Chase wheeled his bike up to the front walkway and laid it down on the grass. Mrs. Mackey's car wasn't anywhere in sight and that was definitely a good thing he thought. She had been turning him away all week. Maybe if she wasn't home Rory would answer the door. Hoping for the best, Chase rang the bell. After waiting a minute, he rang again. When no one answered he decided to look out back.

He looked over the fence into the backyard. The pool was empty, but there were wet footprints going from the pool ladder to the kitchen door. They were kid size prints and they were fresh. The hot sun on the pool deck would have evaporated them quickly if they were old, but these were very wet. Someone had heard the doorbell and ran into the house. Chase was getting angry now. He had come all the way out here several times to check on his friend only to be turned away. Now, it looks like he found him at home and the little shit was hiding from him. He wasn't going to get away with it.

Chase went back out front and rang the bell one more time. There was still no answer. As he looked around the front yard he noticed that the big tree beside the porch had a limb that almost extended to the porch roof. Rory's bedroom had a window that looked out there. It wasn't perfect, but he decided to try. He climbed the tree and made it to the limb by the roof, but became concerned as to whether it would hold his weight. Maybe he would only go halfway out and then he could jump. He had come this far and he had to try. He was about halfway when he thought he heard a cracking noise. Damn! It was too far to jump and there was nothing to hold onto anyway so he couldn't stand. As he was trying to figure out what to do, he thought he saw Rory peeking out of his bedroom window. This made him more determined. As he looked about trying to figure a way to get into a better position, he heard the cracking noise again. His plans came to a halt when Mrs. Mackey's car pulled into the drive below him.

Suzanne Mackey jumped out of the car. She was looking directly at Chase and called to him. "Chase, I want you to move slowly and back off of that branch." He did as he was told. When he got back to the main trunk he lowered himself to the ground and stood in front of her. She did not look happy.

Mrs. Mackey knelt in front of him and put her hands on his shoulders. "If I ever see you doing anything that dangerous on my property again, I will beat your little butt until it is black and blue. Then I'll take you home to your momma and ask her to do the same. Do I make myself clear?"

The tone of her voice and the intense look on her face told him not to say anything other than, "Yes Ma'am."

"What were you doing up there anyway?"

"I was trying to get to Rory's bedroom window. I know he's here but he won't answer the door."

"I told you before, Rory doesn't want to see anybody right now. He's trying to work out some problems hon."

"I'm his best friend. I can help him," pleaded Chase.

Suzanne had turned this kid away three times this week and he just kept coming back. She sensed he had a sincere desire to help her son who had spent almost 4 days locked in the house and didn't seem to be feeling any better, so why not let him try. "Alright. Come on in, but I don't ever want to see you up in that tree again. Got it?"

"Yes ma'am."

Suzanne led the way upstairs and paused in the hallway about 15 feet from her son's closed bedroom door. She turned to Chase and spoke. "I know you really want to help and I think you just might be able to, but, if Rory doesn't want to talk with you, I'm afraid you'll have to accept that. Do you understand?"

"Yes ma'am."

Suzanne stepped up to her son's door and knocked. When there was no answer she opened the door. Rory was standing by the window. "Is Chase here?" he asked.

"Yes, he is, and he really wants to see you. Can he come in?" his mother asked hopefully.

"Uhmm, okay. I guess I should talk to him. He tried to climb up the tree outside."

"I know. But he's not going to try that ever again. Right Chase?" she said, shooting him a look that gave him a chill. "Go on in. I'll leave you two alone." She gestured toward the open door and then went back downstairs.

Chase walked into the room and looked at Rory. "Hey," he said.

"Hi," replied Rory. There was an awkward silence as neither boy knew where to start.

"Your mom said she was gonna beat my butt till it was black and blue," said Chase grinning.

"Why?" asked his friend.

"Because I was climbing the tree. She said it was dangerous."

"You better not push it. She'll do it."

"Yeah, she looked real serious."

"Why were you climbing up the tree?"

"Because you wouldn't answer the door. How come you don't want to see me?" His question was met with silence as the two stared at one another.

"It's really embarrassing," answered Rory. "I made a fool out of myself at the sleepover and now I don't know if I can face any of the guys anymore. I didn't mean to ruin things. It just happened. My mom said I didn't hurt Stevie but I feel really bad about it. He's always nice to me. On top of that I busted your wall. I'm sure your family hates me and all the kids think I'm a stupid coward."

"Whoa! Hold on a minute. Nobody thinks you're stupid and my family doesn't hate you. Dad was pretty mad at first because he thought you and Stevie were fighting. Then he talked to your mom and he calmed down. Stevie's fine, but I think you bruised his butt a little," Chase said trying to lighten up the conversation. Rory did smile.

"They don't hate me?"

"No. Everybody is just wondering why. I want to know what happened. Whatever it is I'll fix it. Scooter, Ben and Ethan ask about you every day. They're worried about you. We all just want you back as our friend. Will you tell me what happened?"

Rory sat down on his bed. He was looking at the floor and thinking. He had never discussed his problem with anyone but his mom, but maybe this was the time. "If I tell you, will you promise not to tell anybody, ever.?"

"If that's what you want, I promise."

Rory then proceeded to tell him about Carl holding him down and sticking his oiled-up finger in his ass. He told him about his uncle and the trainer bursting in and the beating they gave Carl. He told him about having nightmares with Carl's bloodied face in them and about the fight where the rage overtook him and he put a boy in the hospital. "You see? If it had been a minute or two longer I might have hurt Stevie. I mean hurt him bad."

"But you didn't. Everything is okay. I think you should just tell the guys about it."

"No! Remember you promised not to tell anyone."

"Don't worry. I promised and I keep my word. But why don't you want to tell them?"

"I don't want to be known as the kid who has fits and hurts people. The psycho kid. Nobody would want anything to do with me."

"I think you're wrong. The guys would understand, but I won't say anything. Will you come down and see us tomorrow, or can I bring the guys over here?"

"I don't know. What do I tell them about the sleepover?"

"I'll see them first, so I'll tell them you and I had a fight and you got mad and were going home. When Stevie tried to keep you from leaving, you just pushed him a little too hard. No big deal."

"You think they'll believe it?"

"I think I can convince them."

"Okay, why don't you guys come out here? I'll ask my Mom if she'll get pizza and we can have a little party. If Stevie came along I could apologize to him."

"Yeah, I'll do that. I think he'll come. You really should apologize to the kitchen wall too," said Chase with a laugh.

"Oh man I feel so bad about that."

"Don't. It's already fixed. Your mom sent guys by two days ago and all they have to do is paint over it now."

"I'm lucky Mom is so cool."

"If I'm gonna invite everybody I gotta get going. I'm so glad you're talking to me again."

"I'm sorry. I just didn't think I could face anybody."

"Look, if something ever happens again remember you can always talk to me. I stick with my friends."

"Come on," said Rory as he put his arm over Chase's shoulder. "Let's go tell my mom we're having a party tomorrow."

Suzanne was surprised when the two boys walked into the kitchen together smiling. She was thrilled when Rory asked about having friends over the next day. The power of friendship had pulled her son out of his self-imposed exile. She approved the pool party idea and agreed to provide pizza. Chase took off for his neighborhood to invite the guys to the party. After he left Suzanne asked her son what had happened.

"Nothing special. I just told him the truth. He promised he wouldn't tell the guys and he's gonna cover for me leaving the sleepover. Chase is pretty smart."

She decided not to press for any more details at the moment. If Rory was happy, things were looking better. "You're lucky to have a friend like him," she replied.

"I know. I'm gonna go for a run now. I missed a couple days and I want to get back on track."

"That's fine. Have a good run. I'll have lunch ready when you get back," she called as he went upstairs to change.

Joey Sanders' House

Joey was laying on his bed reading a comic book when his brother Shawn stuck his head in the door.

"Joey boy, what are you doing today?"

"Not much. I'm going over to Michael's place in about an hour and then we're going to the park to see who's around. Why? What do you need?"

"I need the 2nd fuck you owe me. You've got an hour so come on over to my room."

Shit! Joey knew he couldn't get out of it but he really hated his brother for doing this to him. He had no choice since he wanted the protection so he followed the 13-year-old across the hall. When they got to Shawn's room he took his shorts off as his brother lubed himself up.

"Loose the undies and I'll grease you up," ordered Shawn.

Joey pushed his underpants down and they fell to his ankles. He bent over the bed and waited. His brother came up behind him and slipped a greased finger into his anus. After lubricating the hole thoroughly Shawn put his foot between Joey's feet and stepped on the fallen underwear. "Step outta those," he instructed. I want your legs spread wide so I can get in real deep this time."

Joey moaned but did as he was told. Shawn wasted no time and pushed through the tight ring quickly. As he thrust deep and hard into his little brother's behind, he showered him with what he thought were compliments.

"Damn Joey. You are great! Your ass was made for fucking. This is one of the best fucks I've ever had."

Joey just gritted his teeth and grunted. Shawn was wrong. The second time was not easier. It hurt like hell.

Shawn couldn't keep up the hard and fast pace for long and he reached his climax in 5 minutes. He stayed deep inside until he felt the last spurt of cum shoot into his brother. It was great. When he pulled out he thanked the kid for the great fuck. Joey said nothing. He just picked up his shorts and underpants and left the room.

Old Knot

As Sandy looked around he liked what he saw. A month ago he thought they might be putting on the Choosing with a make shift stage and no seating area, but that was not the case at all. The stage looked terrific. The new rails were split tree trunks with the curved side up, mounted on stumps. A smooth rope ran from one end to the other to provide a hand grip for the boys. They were beautifully sanded and there were pads to go on them on Choosing day. The bleachers were also split trunks mounted the opposite way with the flat side up. Mr. Corbin was working on the last-minute addition of a ramp on the side of the stage. The entire Jr. Council, a bunch of dads and boys from the community had put in a lot of work to make this happen and the finished product looked very good.

"Well, what do you think Jacobs?" Jason asked.

"I think it looks good."

"I agree. Come on up here. I want to show you something cool," Jason said as he mounted the stage.

"We don't have the mini-stage up front this year and Matthew's dad has done so much that I'm not going to ask him to make one now, but we have this," he said as he pointed to a sort of giant sawhorse sitting off to the side of the stage. It was about 8 feet long and the same height as the rails. "It's very solid and I have pads to go on it. When we want to have featured fucks we just move this to center stage and put whoever the lucky boys are over it. Do you like it?"

"I think it will be fine," said Sandy with a chuckle. "I'm laughing at what you said. I like the term featured fucks."

Jason laughed along with him. "Well there are always some fucks that the crowd wants to see. We can't put a spotlight on them but we can move them up front. I think it makes for a good show."

"I agree. Am I going to be the MC this year?"

"Yes, I may want to run some games and I'll give you a break whenever you need it, but it's pretty much your show. Are you ready for it?"

"I think I am. So you want to take a couple minutes and go over the plans for the day now?"

"No. If you don't mind we'll do that Sunday. I want the whole council here for that. I'll be inviting everybody over to my place and we'll go over everything."

"Sounds good to me. If we're done for now I'm gonna get on my way."

"Go ahead. You've done plenty for today. I'll see you Sunday," replied Jason.

Carter Mackey's House

When Sandy arrived at Carter's house there were two bicycles laying on the grass by the shed. Sandy knew that meant Carter was busy but he decided to wait. Ten minutes later the door opened and Colt and Justin Mackey came out followed by Carter. All three boys were laughing.

"Looks like you guys had a good time," Sandy said from his spot under the tree.

"Oh yeah, we always have fun when we visit Carter," replied Colt.

"Sorry guys but I gotta run," said Justin. "I gotta help with some painting this afternoon."

"Wait up. I'll go with you. Carter, it's been great. We'll see you Saturday," Colt said as he followed Justin.

"You made those boys happy," said Sandy with a smile.

"They're good guys. They always come together and they want to fuck together. They make fun of each other the whole time and they even make me laugh. They're cool. So what's up. Anything special?"

"No, I was just coming back from Old Knot and I thought I'd swing by and say hi."

Is Old Knot ready for the big day?"

"Oh yeah. It looks real good actually. Are you bringing Tom?"

"Yeah, he's a little nervous. I promised him I'd stay as close as I could."

"You're going to give him your protection I hope."

"'Course. He may be a pain in the ass sometimes but he is my little brother. You should know all about that."

"Believe me, I do," said Sandy as he thought of Chase.

"You know, when I got bottomed, I was ashamed for a long time. I didn't want to see anybody. But, at the sleepover last week I realized all those 12-year-olds really look up to us. They really have a lot of respect for bottoms."

"Yes they do. I think it's because you guys are dealing with a job they find terrifying. They're scared to death and you guys are handling it and talking about it."

"Yeah, they were even real respectful to little Henry and he used to be the quietest kid around. They treated him like a hero. I thought it was very cool."

"I'm glad you noticed that Carter. I always tell you guys you're respected by the community, but it's even better when you see it. I've gotta be heading back but I'll see you Tuesday if not before."

Carter waved as his friend headed off.

Along the Old Creek Trail

Shawn, Michael and Andrew were sitting just inside the tree line where it was shady. Shawn had a joint that he lit and passed to Michael.

"I think this is the perfect spot. When he leaves the park he comes right up this trail. We can head him off right down there by the bend in the creek. We got that big log there to lay him over and we all get a great fuck. Shit, we can even go for a swim afterward. It's perfect," Shawn said.

"What makes you think he's gonna cooperate? If three guys stopped me and said they were gonna fuck me I'd fight or run like hell," replied Michael.

"Yeah, I don't think it's gonna be as easy as you make it sound," added Andrew.

"Look, we know this kid likes to get fucked. Bryce said guys told him that. He's not that big and there's gonna be three of us. If we surround him he'll have nowhere to run and he ain't gonna take on three of us," Shawn argued.

"So we're just gonna stop him and say we wanna fuck you," said Andrew skeptically.

"No. That would be stupid. I'm gonna talk about the Choosing and tell him we want to get him ready for it. I'll make it sound like we want to help him get prepared. I been working on exactly what to say and I'll do all the talking. All you guys gotta do is keep him from running and then give him a good fuck. Trust me. It's gonna work."

"If you do all the talking it just might work. You're the biggest bullshitter I know," Michael grinned.

"How about you Andrew? Are you in?"

"I don't know. Why don't we just go visit Carter or Trevor? We could have a great fuck and there's no chance of getting in trouble that way."

"I don't want just any fuck. I want to fuck this kid. I want to try that sweet looking California ass. Come on Andrew. Don't be a wimp."

"If you both think it'll work I'm in. When do you want to try it?"

"Tomorrow. I'm saving two joints. We might have to sit our here waiting on him for a while so we'll have something to do and we'll all be really horny then."

"And what if he won't cooperate?" Andrew wanted to know.

"I guess we'll have to let him go then, but I don't think that will happen. He's a scared horny kid and we're gonna give him what he wants."

Just as Shawn finished a figure emerged from the woods running along the trail. It was Rory.

"You see," said Shawn. "I got this planned out real good. Tomorrow when he comes along here we'll be waiting for him and we'll all have a good time."

Sandy Jacobs House

When Chase got home he found Stevie and Cole in the backyard kicking a soccer ball around. He told them both about the planned pool party at Rory's and asked if they'd come. He could tell by the look on Stevie's face that he was going to have to do some convincing.

"Now this is weird Chase. After what happened Saturday you want us to go swimming at his place. I thought he wasn't talking to you," said Stevie.

"We have it all worked out now. We did have a fight and that's why he left the sleepover. We didn't talk for a couple of days but now it's settled. We're friends again. That's one of the reasons I wanted you to come. Rory wants to apologize. Please, give the guy a chance. He feels really bad about shoving you."

Stevie knew his little brother well enough to tell that he was sincere. Somehow the two boys had patched things up, but it still seemed strange. "Alright. I'll come. Is Cole invited too?"

"Yes. Sorry Cole I didn't mean to leave you out. You're both invited. We're having pizza for lunch and we can get a ride with Mrs. Hagen if we want. Look, I have to go see if Ben can come. I'll see you when I get back. Thanks Stevie," he called as he left the yard.

By dinnertime Chase had invited 6 boys and they all accepted. As he started to tell Brad about it at the table it looked like his dad might put a damper on things.

"Were you going to ask for permission before you went out there?" asked Mr. Jacobs.

"Dad, we go out there all the time," said Chase, surprised by the question.

"That was before Rory slammed your brother into my wall. I'm not sure how I feel about this now."

"Please Dad. We had a fight and it took us almost a week to make up. Everything is okay now. Rory's going to apologize to Stevie and the wall is almost fixed and..., please don't say no. It's important to me."

Sam Jacobs wasn't really going to prevent them from visiting, but he was still upset over the incident last week. He did trust Chase's judgment and Suzanne was a good lady so he backed off his threat. "Okay, but I want you home for dinner tomorrow."

"Hey, can Sean and I come along? asked Brad.

"Sure, the more the merrier."

Sandy had been listening to the conversation closely. He was quite surprised when his little brother announced that he and Rory had patched things up. He was happy for him, but something didn't seem quite right. He wanted to talk to Chase alone without the family around.

Thursday July 10th. - Rory Mackey's House<

The get together at Rory's was a success. Jill Hagen had arrived around 11 AM with a pick-up truck full of boys who immediately headed out to the pool. Jill and Suzanne sipped wine as they waited on the pizza's to be delivered and only occasionally peeked outside to check on the kids.

The boys had set up the net and were playing pool volleyball and generally having a good time. They couldn't go skinny-dipping with two moms right inside but there was plenty of grab-ass in the pool and anyone who climbed up the ladder risked getting their shorts pulled down as they left. It was all in fun.

When the pizza arrived everyone piled out of the pool and gathered around the table. At first there was no sound other than chewing as they stuffed their faces. When they had eaten their fill they started to talk. It wasn't long before the subject of the Choosing came up and Oak asked the question that most of them were wondering about. "Are you coming to the Choosing Rory?"

"Of course. Why did you ask?"

"Well after you left the sleepover, some guys said you probably weren't coming because you were scared."

"Well they were wrong. I'm no more scared than any of you guys. I'm gonna be there."

"Cool," remarked Oak. "Then we'll all be together." Actually he was thinking Rory might be a vote getter because he was new. If kids voted for the new guy, it meant less votes on his back.

"What did you guys get mad about?" asked Ethan. Rory looked at Chase who took the question.

"It's kind of private. It's settled now and it was just something between me and Rory."

"Oh, that's fine. I guess I was just being nosy," replied Ethan.

The boys talked a while longer and then returned to the pool. They swam until Scooter's mom announced it was time to go. As they dried off and gathered up their things Rory pulled Chase aside and asked him if he could stay over.

"Maybe, but I'll have to ask. My dad said he wanted me home for dinner so I better go and I'll ask then."

"Couldn't you just call?"

"No, I better not. My mom was really pissed when I didn't ask first the last time."

"Okay, I understand. I'll go for my run while you go home and ask."

"I'm pretty sure they'll say yes, so I'll see you later."

As the gang left Rory changed into his running shorts and took off for the park.

The Old Creek Trail

Shawn, Michael and Andrew had been waiting for Rory for over an hour. They weren't bored however. Shawn had brought the two joints he promised and all three of them were very high and very horny.

"If he don't show up soon one of you guys is gonna have to jerk me off," Michael giggled.

"I got a better idea. How about if I fuck you?" said Shawn.

"Let's save it for our red headed friend. I really want to try out his ass," said Andrew hopefully.

As they were cutting up and laughing the boy they were waiting for came out of the woods running toward them.

"Here we go guys. You two stay here till I stop him and then come on over from behind," Shawn ordered.

"We got it," Michael replied as Andrew nodded.

Shawn stepped onto the trail facing the oncoming runner. As Rory got closer he waved and Shawn held up his hand as a signal to stop. About ten feet in front of the boy Rory slowed to a walk and reached down and flipped a switch on the recorder clipped to his waist.

"Hi. This is a nice spot isn't it?" said Rory. He didn't recognize the boy from school but he thought he was Joey Sanders' older brother.

"Yeah, it sure is. You're Rory, right?" asked Shawn.

"That's me. What can I do for you?"

"You don't have to do anything for us. We came here to help you," said Shawn as he waved for his friends to join him. Andrew and Michael got up from the tall grass and moved in from behind.

"We're representatives from the Jr. Council. They heard about you leaving the sleepover and they're a little concerned about you being scared or nervous about the Choosing," Shawn said. Rory was feeling a little uncomfortable with the two boys standing behind him.

Shawn continued. "So, the Council thought it might make things easier for you if we came to see you and gave you a little preview of what you can expect on the big day." He looked past Rory to the other two boys. "Why don't you bring him over here to the log boys and we'll get those shorts off and get him ready."

The two boys behind him each grabbed one of his arms and started to lead him over to the fallen tree. Shawn leaped up and picked up a jar of Vaseline he had set there. Rory suddenly realized what they had planned for him and he was not going to let it happen.

The boys holding his arms were both smiling as they led him forward. They weren't gripping him tight and they were holding him above his elbows. It only took a second for Rory to make his move. He easily pulled his left arm free from Andrew's grip and threw a punch with all his might. He connected with Michael's nose and the boy cried out and dropped to his knees. With both arms now free he turned to face the other boy. Andrew, who, like his friends, was high as a kite. It caused him to be too slow to respond and before he knew it the younger boy landed solid punches to his gut and then to his face. He swung at the smaller boy and missed and another punch to his gut dropped him to his knees. Shawn jumped back over the tree and was coming at the kid fast.

Rory realized this boy would not be as easy as the other two. He was taller and had long arms. In order to hurt this kid he had to get inside and that would mean taking a hit. He braced himself as Shawn charged at him. As soon as he was close enough Shawn threw a punch at Rory's face. He was able to bob just enough so the fist glanced off the side of his head and missed his eye. He still felt it though. With Shawn's arm extended the smaller boy moved in and pummeled the kid's gut and ribs with a flurry of jabs. It was enough to bring the boy to one knee. Deciding that the unfair odds justified an unsportsmanlike move, Rory finished the kid off with a kick to his groin. Looking around quickly he saw Michael still on his knees cupping his hands over a bloody nose. Andrew was getting up but holding his gut with both arms and Shawn lay on his side holding his groin. He decided it was time to get away so he ran. His face was burning from the punch Shawn had hit him with and he hoped his mom wouldn't notice.

"What the hell happened?" Shawn yelled at his friends.

"You said he wouldn't fight back against three of us," said Andrew defensively.

"Well you guys were supposed to be holding him."

"We're going to be in big fucking trouble now," whined Michael.

"No, we're not. We are not going to let that little shit get away with this. He's gonna pay. Come on guys, get up," urged Shawn.

"What are we gonna do?" asked Andrew.

"We're going to see Paul Hardin."

"What are we gonna say? Tell him a 12-year-old just beat the three of us up?" asked Andrew sarcastically.

"No. I'll tell you about it on the way. Come on. Get up."

"Maybe we can get another joint from Tim if we're lucky," said Michael as he followed the others.

Rory Mackey's House

Unfortunately for Rory, the spot on his face where Shawn punched him turned bright red by the time he got home and his mom noticed it instantly. He wasn't very good at lying so he told her the truth, pretty much. He left out the fact that he was sure they wanted to fuck him. He didn't want to discuss that part with her. At first she overreacted, as he knew she would, and said he couldn't go running alone anymore. They talked about it more and he assured her he could take care of himself. She liked hearing that he kicked one of them in the balls and told him so. Eventually she backed off on the running ban but made him promise to keep his eyes open and tell her if anything happened again.

As they were finishing dinner Chase called to tell him he was allowed to stay over and would be there in 30 minutes. Suzanne sent Rory to his room to straighten it up. He had only been there for 10 minutes when his mom knocked on the door. She handed him a piece of paper with a picture of a hand holding a gun and the words Learn To Shoot written across the top.

"I found that on line. It's a gun range in Bartlet that gives lessons to kids your age. I was thinking maybe you should learn to shoot."

"Mom, I'm not going to take a gun when I go running. That's crazy."

She stared at him a minute and thought. "I guess maybe it is. I'm gonna leave this here anyway. If it looks interesting you let me know and we'll go and talk to them." She set the paper on his bed and left. Rory took off his shoes and socks. Then he unsnapped his recorder, made sure it was turned off and set it on his desk. He picked up a couple of socks from the floor and made sure all the soda cans were in the trash. The room looked good.

Chase arrived a short time later. He instantly noticed the bruise on his buddy's face and Rory told him about what happened. He was shocked and angry.

"I can't believe this. You're pretty sure it was Joey's big brother?"

"Yes, but be quiet about that. I told my mom I wasn't sure who they were. I didn't want her running over to their house screaming."

"But I think you should tell somebody. They were gonna fuck you. You can't let them get away with that."

"Look Chase, they didn't get away with it. I took care of them pretty good. I'm sure at least two of them have black eyes. I want to handle this without my mom. Okay?"

"Alright, if you say so. I bet I know who the other two were. Shawn always hangs out with Andrew Carrigan and Michael Mackey. If either of them have black eyes I'll know it was them."

"Yeah, that's why I hit them, so it would be easier for you to spot them."

It took Chase a moment to realize his friend was joking. "Very funny. I still don't think you should let them get away with this."

"Let's drop it for now. Nothing really happened. I socked them all pretty good and I don't think they'll try it again."

"If you want to, okay. Trust me though, Mackeys don't forget something like this. They are gonna be looking for a chance to get back at you. You gotta be on guard."

"If it makes you happy, I'll keep my guard up. Right now we have something more important to do."

"What?"

"I haven't showered since I got back from running and I'm all hot and sweaty. Want to help me get cleaned up?"

Chase didn't have to be asked twice. After a lot of soapy humping and mutual masturbating, the boys went to the bedroom to get some shorts. Chase was admiring Rory's ass as his buddy went through his drawers looking for the pair he wanted when he saw the gun range flyer laying on the bed.

"You gonna take shooting lessons?"

"My mom wants me to. She thinks I should carry a gun when I go running now."

Chase was shocked by the statement. "Are you gonna?"

"Heck no. My mom wants me to think about it though so I said I would."

Chase was relieved.

Paul Hardin's House

Paul had called Jason to inform him of the visitors he had just had. He told him the whole story and was answering his questions as best he could.

"That's right. They said he snuck up behind them and started swinging a fence post. He got Michael and Andrew pretty good. Shawn tried to fight him off but when you're using your fists against a club it's not a good fight. Yes, I do believe them. I saw the marks on them. He got them pretty good. They said he was yelling that he didn't want any backwoods hillbillies on his property." Paul paused and listened to Jason on the other end of the line.

"No he responded. They didn't want him bottomed but they wanted me to give the kid three checkmarks to start with. When they left here they were going to spread the word about what happened to the kids in this neck of the woods. The boys probably doomed to be bottomed now." He listened some more.

"Look, I've got a date tonight and I gotta get moving. How about if I drop by tomorrow morning and we'll talk about it?" After another pause he replied, "Okay, that sounds good to me. I'll see you then and it's none of your business who I'm going out with." He laughed and hung up the phone.

Friday July 11th Jason Mackey's House

Jason saw Paul's pick-up out front and he was waiting at the door for him.

"Come on in Paul. Jacobs and I were just roughing out a schedule for Tuesday. I filled him in a little about what you told me but I wanted to hear the whole story from you."

The boys went to the dining room and joined Sandy who was sitting at the table with a pad and pen.

"I'm glad to see you've got this guy working. I like seeing him earn his keep," said Paul as he sat down.

"Take a break from that Sandy. Let's hear what Paul has to tell us," said Jason.

"Well, like I told you on the phone, yesterday afternoon, Shawn Sanders, Michael Mackey and Andrew Carrigan paid me a visit. They were all banged up. Bruised faces, black eyes and Andrew had a heck of a fat lip. I asked them what happened and they said that Rory Mackey, the new kid, had jumped them and beat on them with a fence post."

"Just jumped them out of the blue?" interrupted Sandy. "That doesn't make any sense."

"Hold on now and let me tell my story. They were swimming in the creek at that spot where it bends and the big oak is laying on the ground."

"I know the place. It's nice and deep there," said Jason.

"Yeah, well Andrew and Michael were sitting on the log and Shawn was still in the water. Rory comes up behind the guys on the log and starts whacking them with this fence post and telling them they're trespassing. He's yelling that he doesn't want any backwoods hillbillies swimming on his land. Shawn came out of the water to help the other guys and he layed into him with the big stick he was swinging. The boys had the marks to prove it."

Jason seemed to be thinking but Sandy spoke up. "That boy has thrown parties and he invites everyone. He's always friendly when I've seen him. I've never heard him say anything bad about the deep kids. It just doesn't sound right to me."

"He's friendly with your little brothers too, but I understand he put one of them through a wall at the sleepover and then stormed out. That doesn't seem right either," said Jason.

"Well, what about Michael and his friends. I've had some trouble with him giving Carter a hard time. Have Shawn or Andrew caused any problems before?" asked Sandy.

"They are wild party boys when they get together and I understand they make good use of their privileges, but I never heard anybody call them liars," replied Paul.

"I think I asked you before, but did they want us to bottom the kid?" asked Jason.

"They didn't say that. They did want him to get checkmarks for his stunt though. They felt he deserved three at least. One for each of them."

"I have to admit that sounds fair to me, but we have to present this to the whole council. We're meeting Sunday to assign tasks for the Choosing and we'll bring it up then. Does that sound good to you two?" Paul and Sandy both nodded.

As Sandy walked home later he couldn't help wondering if Chase knew anything about this. He decided he would talk to his little bro. Maybe he could shed some light on things.
