His parents took note of the growing friendship over the next couple of months but didn't pry too much into their son's relationship. However, they eventually decided to have a conversation with him about it over dinner at a nice restaurant they often visited. "Honey, your dad and I wanted with speak with you about Caden, is that okay?"
Devin paused from carving into his steak and looked at them curiously, "Sure, what do want to talk about?" "Son, we don't mean to pry into your personal business," his dad said, looking a bit uneasy, "but we want to be sure you and he are being...um, safe." "What do you mean?" Devin asked, putting down his cutlery, but guessed where the conversation was heading. "Well, Devin," his mom spoke cautiously, "we know you are getting older and we are very proud of you, by the way, but we also know teenage boys are also very amorous at your age and we want to ensure you and Caden are being careful and using...proper protection," she said, looking even more uncomfortable than even Devin felt about having his parent discuss his sex life in an expensive restaurant. "Oh, uh...I guess you know about us then," Devin said, feeling embarrassed and blushing profusely. "Yes, and just to be clear, we are both very progressive about this," his dad said with compassion and sincerity, "we support you and we will love whoever you love." "H-how long have you known?" "Since you were about seven years old, son," his mom said with a smile, "but now that you are in a relationship, we felt it is the appropriate time to discuss it with you. However, in hindsight, perhaps we should have had this conversation with you long ago so you didn't have to worry about sharing this part of your life with us." Devin wasn't sure this was the time, and it certainly was not the place, but he was glad the gay elephant in the room was out of the closet. He felt closer to his parents for loving him unconditionally and being brave enough to talk with him about it candidly. "Yes, we are both being safe, and since you know we are `more than just friends,' I also want you to know, I love Caden. I care about him, very much." "I know you do, son. We love him too and we are always happy to have him in our home. Do you happen to know how his parents feel about your relationship? He doesn't seem to talk about them very often." Devin didn't want to have to lie to his parents since they were being transparent with him, but unfortunately there was no other way to protect Caden's living situation, "I don't know how they feel about it," he said, feeling a bit of guilt in the pit of his stomach. "Well, be careful," his mom said, lightly touching his arm, "not every parent is comfortable with having their teenage son in a sexual relationship at such a young age." "I will mom, and thanks for being so understanding about it. You too, dad, I wasn't sure how to talk to you both about this stuff, so yeah, thanks." *** "Hey, want to spend Thanksgiving with us at my grandpa's farm?" Devin asked when Caden arrived to his bedroom the following Friday evening. "Are you serious?" "Sure, mom and dad want you to come with us. Oh, and by the way, they also know we've been fucking," Devin said with a sly grin. "What...? How...?" "They told me they knew I liked boys since I was like seven and they also told me they were cool with you and me having sex as long as we are being safe. Weird, huh?" "All this time, we thought we had them fooled and they were on to us all along," Caden sat next to Devin on his bed and laughed. "Yup, so how about it? Want to join us for Thanksgiving? I know you'll love the farm and you'll get to meet my extended family." "Sure, I guess so, thanks." "Sweet, now get them clothes off, boy!" They were both naked and on the bed within seconds. They started making out and kissing deeply. Tongue play was something they both enjoyed these days as they explored each other's mouth and bodies. When they had first become very close friends, kissing wasn't something in which either of them had much experience. The first time Devin tried kissing Caden, he again reminded him not to fall in love with him, but it was too late for either boy--that train had long left the station. *** Caden had never been on an "actual" farm before because he had always lived in cities and was never exposed to farm animals. He was unaccustomed to seeing fields growing fresh vegetables and fruit orchards. Devin had a fantastic time introducing him to his extended family as his "boyfriend." Everyone was happy to meet Caden and they went out of their way to make him feel like one of the family. During the Thanksgiving Day meal, each person at the table spoke about what they were most thankful for during the past year. Caden was the last to speak. "Um, I guess I'm thankful for meeting Devin and for having his parents treat me like I'm part of their family. I'm also thankful for all of you for welcoming me here to the farm and for being so kind to me. I never expected..." Caden's voice suddenly broke because he became emotional as he spoke. After growing up with terrible parents, being in Foster Care, and now living as a street kid, he had often wondered what it would be like to be part of a "real family." He would observe them at the park or at the local pubic library just going about their day but he had never known what is it was like to feel like he belonged somewhere--or that he simply mattered to someone. "Um, sorry...I never expected to meet so many nice people who wanted to get to know me...," Devin took his hand when a tear rolled down his cheek, "...anyway, thank you." Caden's words touched everyone at the table, especially Devin, who gave his boy a gentle kiss. *** The weather had turned chilly, Caden was glad to be out of the cold and inside of a warm car. His client was a regular customer and he knew the date wouldn't take long. Usually, all the guy wanted was a hand job or some head. But tonight the large man wanted something a little different--he wanted to fuck the young boy so they both agreed on a price. Caden removed his pants in the back seat of the car then slipped his underwear off before fingering himself with lube then rolling a condom onto the massive cock. He got on his knees doggie style then placed the tip at the entrance to his pink boy hole, "Okay, so go slow at first, then you can go faster." "Ow, fuck...I said go slow!" Caden yelled, feeling a sharp pain after the big man immediately shoved his large cock all the way inside his tender hole until he felt the hairy balls hit his smooth ass cheeks. "Shut your funkin' mouth you slut!" the big man grunted, again shoving his large cock further into Caden's asshole causing him excruciating pain. "Wait...stop, I'm not ready...stop, this hurts...!" The man ignored the begging and continued to ram his dick in and out of the boy's hole, "You know you like it, don't you, whore? Yeah, just like a bitch, take that cock!" Caden began to cry and plead, "Please stop...you don't have to pay me...just stop...please..." "Shut up, cunt! I'm gonna fuck the shit out of you!" Sweat fell from his balding head as he was held down the boy with his strong arms. There was nothing Caden could do but scream and beg. The man was more than tree times his size and his asshole felt like it was being torn apart. Finally, the man came with a loud grunt and began to calm down, becoming more human than insatiable animal, "Holy shit that felt good! You got a sweet ass, boy. I'm sorry we didn't do that before, fuck those blowjobs." The guy took his bulky weight off of the boy so he could get up. Caden's hands were shaking as he pulled on his pants, not even bothering to find his underwear. He has still in pain when he wiped the tears from his eyes and prayed he wasn't bleeding. "Here," the man said, shoving a handful of bills into Caden's hands, "it was worth every penny. Now get the fuck out of my car." *** Marcus immediately noticed Caden's puffy eyes and reddened face when he slowly approached him at their usual spot in the park, "Rough one, huh?" "Fucking asshole..." he hissed when he reached Marcus, "...he basically raped me. Fuck that hurt! Let's go home..." "That bad, huh? That sucks, he used to be one of the good ones." "Well, fuck him...never again. Let's go home, it's too cold to be out here anyway and it'll be dark soon." The two boys decided to call it a night just as an expensive car pulled next to the curb and honked. "Forget it, man," Caden said, looking miserable and exhausted, "let's just go home." "I don't recognize the car, do you?" Marcus asked with a curious look, "It could be a first-timer and some quick cash. I'll just go see what he wants," he said, leaving Caden on the sidewalk to go over to lean on the open passenger-side window. After a moment he walked back and said, "He wants both of us for $200, are you in?" "No way man, that last guy fucked me up. I just wanna to go home, take a bath, and get warm. Come on Marcus, let's just forget about it, okay?" Marcus hesitated, then said, "I need the cash so I'm going to do the date. I'm not as young and cute as you are so I have to take what I can get." "Do what you want but I'm not freezing my ass off out here waiting for you." "No worries, I'll see you later back at the house." Caden walked home alone in the cold after watching his friend get into the car and drive away with his client. It was the last time he would ever see Marcus alive. *** Devin opened the front door and found Caden in tears, "It-It's Marcus...!" was all he could manage to say, he sobbed uncontrollably. The story was all over the local news channels. The body of a teenager had been found at the neighborhood playground--apparently, after being sexually assaulted then strangled to death. The body was currently unidentified by the police but Caden knew it was his friend, Marcus. Caden had stayed with Devin's family for two days before he saw the house where he lived on TV being raided by the local police. Caden sat in shock, watching the other boys he had lived with being placed into Child Protective Services vans--and the kind old lady being escorted out in handcuffs like a criminal. "I can't believe it," Caden said, looking miserably at the television screen in horror, "the old lady never hurt anybody...and she is going to jail for helping us kids so we don't have to sleep on the street," he spoke more to himself than to Devin, who was sitting by his side holding his hand, "what am I going to do now?" "We'll think of something," Devin said, putting his arm around his boyfriend, pulling him close, "we need to tell mom and dad everything, they'll know what to do." "They'll have to call the police, you know that," Caden had fear in his eyes, "I won't go back into child custody...I-I can't." "No one said anything about putting you back into child custody, but maybe they can think of a way for you to stay here with us. They love you. We have to trust them and tell them the truth...about everything." *** Devin spoke to his mom and dad with Caden looking on grimly. He explained what had happen and told them everything--about the prostitution and the murder. His parents were stunned to learn Caden was not at all the boy they thought he was--he was instead, a Foster Care runaway who had been sexually abused since he was little. "I can't believe you kept this from us," his dad scolded, "do you have any idea how many laws your mom and I are breaking right now? Not just because Caden is an underage runaway, but because he may also be considered an accessory to a murder." "Honey, calm down," his mom chimed in with her usual patient demeanor, "we need to think about this clearly," she turned to, Caden, "listen honey, is there anything at that house that could point the police back to us? Anything with our address, phone numbers, anything?" Caden looked frightened but thought carefully, "I...uh, don't think so," suddenly, a terrified expression came across his face, "but, I might have told one of the other boys where you live...I'm sorry." "Well, that's it," Devin's dad said, throwing up his hands, "we have to call the police immediately." "But dad," Devin protested, "they'll take Caden away and put him someplace horrible." "I'm sorry, son...but it can't be helped. The police will eventually find out about Caden and come here looking for him. We could also be arrested for not coming forward sooner. I'm sorry, but this is the only way." "Can...can I at least leave before you call them?" Caden looked terrified, speaking quietly with tears in his eyes. "Please Dad, you can't do this," Devin pleaded, hearing his own voice breaking, eyes blurry with tears, "...he's only thirteen years old. I'm begging you...please, help him. Do it for me." "I'm sorry, Devin...but this is for the best. We can't afford to get any further involved. We could lose our jobs, our house, everything. It has to be done," he looked at Caden, "we won't hold you here against your will but I need to call the police right now. If you want to get your things and leave, I won't stop you. You probably have some time before they arrive." The two boys nearly ran to the basement to quickly gather Caden's clothing and minimal belongs, both scared and crying. "I'm coming with you," Devin said, looking into Caden's sad eyes. "No, you can't. They'll never let you leave." "I don't care. I can't bear to lose someone else I love...not again. They're just being selfish and only thinking about themselves. I'm not going to lose you, not now, not ever." "But how...?" "Just meet me at the restaurant, tonight, just before closing time. I'll be there, I promise." The boys embraced and sobbed at the door before Caden hurried away from the house--heart broken and sad, leaving behind the boy he loved. *** Caden took seat on the bench and waited outside the restaurant just before it closed, wondering what he would do if Devin's parents prevented him from leaving. He had nowhere to go and didn't know anyone who would take him in--plus, it was really cold outside. He began to shiver, his thin jacket hasn't helping him stay warm. Before now, he had never been on his own. Even when he had run away from the Foster Care home, he had always had Marcus. The thought of Marcus and the guilt he felt made him start to cry again. He knew, if he had just gotten into the car that night with him or insisted they both go home together, Marcus would probably still be alive and none of this would be happening--it was all his fault. "Hey, don't cry, I'm here." Caden looked up and saw Devin walking toward him with what looked like camping gear. Jumping to his feet, he said, "I was so sacred. I didn't know if you would make it, I'm sorry." "Don't worry, I'm here now," Devin said, handing him a backpack, similar to the one strapped to his own back, "there's a warm sweater in there for you, put it on then put on the backpack. We need to get out of here fast, just in case my folks realize I'm gone and come looking for me." Devin looked anxious while he waited for Caden to pull on the sweater then put the pack on his back, "I had to sneak this stuff out of the house. The cops showed up about an hour after you left and my folks have been watching me like hawk all day." The two boys began walking quickly, "Where are we going?" Caden asked, holding Devin's hand with a firm grip. "To the train station. I checked the schedule before leaving home. If we hurry, we can get out of town tonight. I left my cell phone behind so my folks won't be able to track us once we're gone." The boys made it to the station with just a few minutes remaining to get their tickets. After boarding the train, they stowed their belongings, found seats, then held each other's hand as the train slowly pulled away from the station. Both sat in silence, looking out into the darkness at the lights passing by the windows, knowing only one thing for certain; whatever the unknown future held for them, they would face it--together. *** End of Chapter Three To be continued in Chapter Four Your feedback is greatly appreciated --> entirelyawesome@protonmail.com Other stories by this author: https://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/young-friends/night-swimming/ https://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/young-friends/the-bastard-boy
