Mackey Tales: The Lost Tribes of The West

This story is about sex between boys. It is a total fantasy.

The usual warning yadayadayada applies. However, you've made it to Nifty/gay/young-friends, so you'd know by now and I won't repeat.

What I do repeat however: support Nifty.

This is a wonderful, free archive. A treasure box.

The stories make you feel good.

Introduction

During the COVID lock-down, bored to death, scrolling through Nifty, I happened upon the Nifty Directory "Sandy Jacobs", posted by Charles (Chuck) Well, April 2018 – Dec 2020. I loved it.

Charles wrote "Sandy Jacobs" as a sequel to the story of Jonas Henley, "Kids of Indian Spring", and did so brilliantly, assisted by Sarge, Nick and Sam.

Reading on, I learned there were other stories, both from Jonas Henley ("Mackey tails", "The Mackey Chronicles", etc.) as from Charles Well, Sarge-AKA Aldric, Nick and Sam The Ham ("Holden Mackey has been bottomed", "Mackey Farms" etc.). If you haven't read them, I strongly recommend reading the Jonas Henley and Charles Well/Sarge stories.   Links are below.

I could dwell for hours in this imaginary world during these boring COVID19 times.

Once done reading, with lots of time at hand due to the lock-downs, I had to write something as well. I just tried to add another sequel to the Mackey saga.

I'm not a writer at all (zero experience), I'm not pretending my story is even near as good as these from Jonas, Charles, Sarge e.a., far from that. My fantasies are dwelling on stories already told, I have borrowed many ideas and words from their and others' stories.

Just like Charles Well, I consider Jonas' work as unfinished, with several leads for follow-up.

Whereas the mentioned writers kept Indian Spring and some families/characters as the setting for their stories, I choose a different path.

-     In Jonas Henley's "The Mackey Chronicles 01-a" he referred to two of Thomas' sons, Alan and Charles, who did not remain with the family in Ohio, but travelled onwards:

"...Alan... continued further to St. Louis and beyond...", and "...After several years, Charles decided to set out West, find his brother Alan..."

-     In "The Mackey Tails, an Introduction", Henley briefly mentioned the "Alan's Beach side of the family, in California".

The "Alan's Beach" stories never materialized, although I learned from Sarge/Pietar_the_fearless that there is some work in preparation.

I took the liberty to play with the story of Alan Mackey, and took it to a region matching the "...St. Louis and beyond...".

-     In "Chronicles 1b" Jonas mentioned "... The blue wristbands that became popular after the arrival of cousins from the Lost Mackey tribes of the West,...". I used this quote from Jonas Henley as title for my story. My tribute to this great storyteller.

My story begins after the first part from the original text written by Jonas Henley, "The Mackey Chronicles 01-a". I'll pick up at the point where Jonas continued his story focusing on James and Andrew in Indian Spring.

I start with Chronicles, to create the illusion of a historical perspective, including a Mackey lineage family tree, to be followed later by a storyline about one Mackey boy, set in 1975.

Enjoy,
