Date: Sat, 16 Sep 2006 23:34:41 -0400 From: Dwedno Smith Subject: Chapter 1 of "Beyond Tunnel" For anyone reading this that has never read Tunnel on nifty this might be confusing so I would suggest going to find Tunnel and reading it before reading this story. (The last chapter of Tunnel was posted Sept 3 for anyone reading this on or about Sept 17.) but that is up to you. You can follow this story from here but you will be missing out on a great deal of information without ever reading Tunnel, but for those of you who have read Tunnel you are about to sample something new and additional to Tunnel so as you read on, most of the following is self explanatory. Enjoy and I hope to hear from all of you after you read this. Dwedno. "Beyond Tunnel" Since the comet hit... It is a fact that we are unsure about life outside our area. With that said this part of the story will finally give us that answer... to a point. Told mostly through the author's eyes at first... "Beyond Tunnel" will give readers a few of the answers they might be curious about that exist outside of the boy's home town in Tunnel. As the story develops it will quickly become one with "Tunnel" and then all readers will have two sub-plots to follow or in other words the story will branch off into the characters of Beyond Tunnel and the regular old Tunnel but will still have both characters dealing with each other and sharing the same storylines at times. Since this is a very tough thing to handle I will do my best to keep a running list of which character is in which story or to simplify it where each one sleeps every night. As needed or even with each chapter I will make sure that you, the reader know which character belongs to which story. That said... and not to try to confuse anyone... this is simply being done because my original story "Tunnel" has gotten to the point where a lot of the readers are telling me there are too many kids in the story to follow and even though I kind of agree with you at this time...fifteen boys might be a lot for some reader to handle, I really don't have a problem writing for fifteen, its more like having a problem with keeping a storyline hot with all fifteen of them that is the problem. As I write this I will do my best not to confuse anyone or lose anyone in the storyline. Any questions can be brought to my attention at dwednomail@hotmail.com and I will gladly answer them in the quickest way possibly. But for now... Tommy- our leader who is doing his best to keep everything together. Will the trip to the mall be too much for him to handle or will he gain even more control? Kyle- who is starting to find out that boys might actually be as good as girls. What does the future hold for his love interests now? Shawn- still young but very smart... don't doubt him he has Tommy can he keep him now that Jon is back in his bed. He has his room back but was it a mistake? Jon- Happy but questioning if he really has Tommy or does Shawn still have control of him and what about the future with the new people how will that hurt him? Billy- About to see that life isn't exactly what he thought, how much will it change? He thought Joey was his but will that too change now that others are here. Joey- Confused about what he really wanted in the beginning. He went along to make his best bud Billy happy now what will happen since he might have a choice? Benjy- What will he do now? The quiet and sometimes confused boy will be affected most from this... where will he finally wind up after the dust settles? Danny- If he was lost after the comet hit how is he now? Having his brother taught him a lot but now what does he do? Follow what he wants or what Christian wants? Christian- Way too young to have answers for Danny. He has learned a lot in the past few months but still at his age he has a long way to go before he can decide. Jeremy- confused by the turn of events and future unsure... will he survive? Devin (DJ) - almost in the same position of Jeremy... where will he be after the dust settles? The big cute boy has some thinking to do about his future now. Luke- he has something he never dreamed of, still baffled over it he is taking things slowly and trying to choose his best option now... where does he fit in? Cameron and the boys- News hits and they grow concerned but they are on the farm and far enough away that they don't have to worry that much. Cameron – Is in love with DJ but what does DJ want? He doesn't know and the way he left the farm just confused Cameron even more about his future. Chase- Curious about Tommy and the house where he lives. Does he want to go back there now that things are changing or does he want to be with his brothers? Chance – a flirt... secretly has a thing for Tommy but is too scared inside to admit it. Loves his brothers but really wants to be around more then just a farm... Who will live who will die? Mmmmmm... will anyone die? The future of Tunnel is up to all of you out there in a matter of speaking... when it comes to your enjoyment of it. Let me know what you think now and maybe one of you will help me decide what happens or maybe its too late and things will just go on and straighten out themselves without anyone's help...after all it is just a story??? All kidding aside the above writing about each boy is for everyone's thoughts and whether it helps or just raises more questions about the boy's futures is EXACTLY what I had in mind to do to all of you. I will try to do my best to keep both stories fresh and exciting in our future but after 66 or so chapters its becoming a little more of a job then fun. I still love it and I have no plans on ending Tunnel but whether BT (Beyond Tunnel) stays or not will depend on all of you. I want to keep things as simple as possible for the readers even if that means more work for me but without feedback on both stories I cannot know if its working or if I will need to just fall back into one "Tunnel" in the future. As you read let me know. I realize I might ask too much of you readers but this is your story and when I stop hearing from you then the story ends. No this isn't a threat it is just a reminder that all of your feedback and kind words have been the stone that has kept my drive going throughout all of this so far and I want to hit 100 chapters and with your help and support I might make it with ease or 100 could be the end of Tunnel. It's not close but chapter 100 will be a deciding point for me (unless I get so confused I forget LOL) as of now... as to the fate of Tunnels future. (Probably a year of more away if I go by how long it took me to get to chapter 66) Regardless I do want to thank all of you new and old for you continued support of my story. Words cannot describe the joy most of you have given me by supporting this story so far. It was just something I wanted to do for fun and it has turned into a two year blast for me so far. Here's to another two years of fun!!!! Enjoy Beyond Tunnel everyone!!! FOREWARD OF BEYOND TUNNEL: What will those things written about the boy's do to the future of Tunnel and will any of it cause a big change in their life after the mall visit. Without giving away too much of the storyline it's easy to say that they will meet others there and encounter danger while there. Now this segment of Tunnel was written before a majority of the new plot was put to paper and developed so as an advanced warning... things might change but I wanted to bring to light the new sub-plot and additional storyline. With new characters coming in its obvious that things will change and hopefully that will be for the better. Even though some good and bad will happen it's for the best that I do this at this point in the story. I have done some research and questioning of a few readers and found mixed reaction so far. So where we stand right now: the following is the beginning of the new storyline "Beyond Tunnel" and it should make for some interesting futures for all the characters. I hope you enjoy enough to tell me or at least at the very worst feel free to let me know if it's working or not. This is going to take a lot of work to pull off so I will do my best to keep the story flowing between Tunnel and Beyond Tunnel. FOR ALL OF YOU TO KNOW RIGHT NOW I WILL ALSO BE CALLING BEYOND TUNNEL "BT" so I don't have to keep writing it out. Tunnel will remain just plain Tunnel for now... so without further ado... BT... Chapter 1. Getting home. Miles from no where walking along a desolate lightly snow covered highway we meet this older boy for the first time. Having left his last car many hundreds of miles away and not finding one that could replace it so far he is slowly feeling duress of his situation. It has been weeks of walking that brought him closer but not all the way to his final destination. Now somewhere in Minnesota it's been many months now since the comet hit and all that is on this young man's mind is getting back home to see if any family survived. He was out in central USA when the comet flew over and thankfully for him his job was what saved his ass. That morning when it hit he was underground. He was one week into his new job and just finished training. He has a decent electrical background and as of then had to begin at the bottom, literally. Of course cleaning sewers and doing electrical wiring wasn't exactly what he wanted out of life but after being forced out of his house by his father after he made a local girl pregnant last year he decided it was time to live on his own far away. He didn't want to leave her or the unborn baby but he felt trapped and lost so he made a decision and went with it good or bad, right or wrong!!! Being 21 for just a month before the comet hit he was finally happy. At last he was legal and could enjoy all the pleasures of the age. Booze, smokes, and most of all girls! Just for kicks he tried smoking but it wasn't for him he quit a day after his first pack, he hated the smell, the stench on his cloths and his breath after one. So far on his trek home his balls were aching for some loving it has been days since he even jerked off right now. As far as he knows he lost his girlfriend of just a few weeks when that comet took everyone away that day. Sure they were new to each other but he was lonely and she was really good to him and sucked a really good cock! That was all he remembered of her right now. But thinking back to his old life... He left a pregnant girl behind many, many months ago and all he knew was she was moving on too after he left because of all the trauma that was put on her family by making her with child and deciding to leave after that caused the family to leave too. He knew it was wrong now, he knew he should have stayed and cared for them. He was a coward and a quitter most of his life because of and thanks to his father and the way he and his brother were raised. Without much care! At least his younger brother had some sense about him though even though he hid in a basement most of the time! Now you might ask what trauma happened to that girl... she was only 16 and although it was a legal fuck for him he was just dipping his cock into his first cunt ever, she was the first that would let him close enough to try. Yes that was his first fuck. They were both virgins before he nailed her. He has had a few since then even one good one with his old girl he left behind or shall we say that died in the comet hit. He was proud he nailed her in the ass and she didn't seem to mind but he couldn't just fuck her normal because he already had the thought of one baby in his head so he finally convinced her that the butt was the right way to go. Don't know why he didn't think condoms wouldn't work but that's another story. He was a father... or are they all dead? He doesn't know that or even where they are now. He just assumes everyone is dead but hopes for the best when he gets home. After settling in Oklahoma with his new job that a school friend got him. He was now looking to get back where he grew up in the normally colder part of the states. Winter had set in a few weeks ago and for him all he had was what he carried on his back in the sack, plus a heavy coat, and once new shoes. He was hoping his mother or father would be alive and he missed his younger brother something terrible. They got along quite well since both of them always had the same thing on their mind... avoid dad at any cost! Right now just hoping someone was alive was the only thing keeping him going. He had gone through two cars so far prior to this and both brought him closer and closer to his final destination but he was still many miles away now and the snow was slowing him as it deepened and colder weather was starting to wear him down. He would walk when he could and rest when he found shelter. He passed many cars... most either parked with no keys or wrecked in an accident most likely during the comet strike. The last fifteen miles was all open road with a few small shelters along the way which is where he was seeking safety so far. The last road sign gave him hope that it wouldn't be long now it said Rt. 71. A major road! He hoped he would finally start to see some familiar land. Finally he saw signs for a mall and packing a gun he felt safe enough to head for it. He had encountered many half baked people along his travel and learned firing a gun would keep him alive quickly. As he walked on the next sign said mall 4 miles. He had lots of hope that this mall would be a safe place for him if all else failed back home. It was early November now and cold weather had settled in faster then ever before to this land. Strange but who knows? Maybe the comet changed the climate too when it passed over. He had many months of hot weather and then like a light switch it all changed in a few days. Hot to warm then cold almost overnight. He was almost unprepared but he managed so far. He continued his walk towards the mall. Two days passed and he found a car wreck and one car with keys in it that was actually drivable! He was saved. He turned the key and after almost losing the battery it finally started. He screamed out in joy as he got in and looked for protection from the light snow and cold outside. As the car warmed the heat came on and he was elated! He took off and finally passed the mall that was on all the signs. "Mall of American" world's largest mall! He read on a small sign as he rolled past it. He decided to head back home and see if anyone was there if not... what the hell living here isn't all that bad a huge mall and something to eat he hoped. He headed towards the way he thought was home with some as semblance of hurry in mind. After driving for about five hours and finding nothing much but some music and static on the car radio he was chomping on a few candy bars he had in his backpack he suddenly realized he was low on gas and needed to fill soon. From what he remembered of his surrounding he was starting to see familiar roads and areas surrounding him now he knew gas had to be near. So far he tried a few gas stations along the way but there was no power or they were locked up. Something had to give soon he was on closing in on E on the gas tank. He saw a sign for Pottersville a few miles back and knew home was close too but he was still many miles from it. He drove on and tried a few more stations hoping one would give him the gas he desperately needed. So far no luck! He had to be riding on fumes now. As he rounded a bend in the road with dark once again settling in he saw a gas station with a light still on and he pulled in. He took out his gun and checked for life and found no one. He went to the pump and turned it on and it worked. Thank GOD! He yelled out as he pulled the hose out and put it onto the tank to fill up. He went inside and took what he could, money, any food that wasn't spoiled and lots of candy which is what he was kind of living on lately anyway. After filling the car to the point of spill he hung the hose back up and capped the tank and headed off with a smile on his face knowing he would make it now. The snow was a little heavier but he was still able to drive in it. As he drove on the snow deepened and winds picked up he felt danger and decided to seek the first safe shelter and stay the night. Home would have to wait one more day. Up ahead he saw a motel sign in the car lights and he pulled over. He got out and went to check the door but of course it was locked so he headed to the front office to find a key, soon enough he was walking back through the blowing snow carrying key number 10 and sticking it in the door. With the car he found parked a few feet from the door he turned the lock and pushed open the door. He quickly entered the room which was heated by some good will and shut the door behind him. "I can't believe this! This is so awesome!" he yelled out as he stared at a king size bed right in front of him. Some how after all the fighting and battling to make it back he was now in a motel a short distance from where he grew up and staring at the first bed he has seen in weeks. He stripped off his dirty smelly clothes and headed for the bathroom. He turned on the shower water to almost hot and got in. As he wet his head he took a deep breath and started to cry. With the water running down his back he thought about his family and his brother especially and how he wished he was going to see them tomorrow when he headed home after being away for so long. Only problem was he knew deep down that they were dead. He was just wishing for some glimmer of hope that someone somehow made it through that comet thing months ago. He turned and the water hit his tear stained face washing away his worries for the moment and giving him renewed hope that something good could still happen. He grabbed the wrapped bar of soap and ripped off the paper and took a deep breath smelling the soap. In some ways it wasn't a lot but in others it was heaven. The first shower he had in... he couldn't even remember how long. He lathered up the wash cloth that was sitting on the edge of the tub with a floor towel that he placed down before he got in and started to wash himself from head to toe not missing an inch. He thought about how good the hot water felt after walking so long in the cold and snow. He thought about how good the heat in that car felt as he turned the key and it cranked over starting the car up. His tears went to smiles briefly as he was finally content with having something good in his life once again. He washed all over and as young men do his soapy hands eventually found his cock. He began stroking it while he thought about some girl he banged before the comet hit. Since it had been a while it didn't take him long to get that feeling in his brain and after a few more strokes on his seven inch man meat he blew a wad all over the bottom of the tub. It had been so long he shot...squirt after squirt flew out of his hard tool as he stroked it and thought about good times he had had. Finally spent and feeling really good he let go of his cock and leaned back against the wall to relax after a great orgasm overtook his entire body. "Man that was awesome!" he said aloud. As it echoed off the walls he rinsed off and washed his head. After that he turned off the water got out and dried off. A little bit later he was pulling back the semi fresh bedspread and linens under it. He got into bed and as his head hit the pillow he finally felt something he hadn't felt since the day he left his old home...he felt like he was almost home again. He quickly drifted off to sleep and had a long and peaceful rest in an unfamiliar bed and surrounds that he could call home for this night. Morning came almost too fast as he opened his eyes to a semi bright room. The sun was out as he pulled back the covers and swung his feet over and onto the floor. Was he dreaming? He almost pinched himself to think that he was in a warm safe environment for the first time in way too long. He got his naked body out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take care of morning business. After a flush he headed over and peaked out behind the curtain that blocked the window and saw a few inches of snow on the car he could now call his own. The sky was almost as blue as the beautiful eyes of his last fuck and he was just about ready to put those dirty clothes back on and head the rest of the way to his old neighborhood and his home. At least if everything else failed he knew he had this place to come back to for another good sleep at worst. Eventually he got dressed and headed out to his vehicle and started it up. He took off heading for his promise land in hope of finding someone alive that he knew. As he drove things became more and more familiar to him and as he climbed that last hill in the car he knew it wouldn't be long now. Once again he thought about how it used to be and hoped something would happen to bring a little of that back to him once more. As he hit the peak in the road a smile came across his face. He saw something ahead he recognized and it renewed his hope. Home was in eye site now. "Yahooo!!" He screamed out to no one as he saw the outline of the tall tower that said home was close. Only two or three more miles now till he sees his town. Maybe someone is alive. He thought how scary it was that he has come maybe 700 miles and seen no one around. Sure they could have been there and hiding not knowing who he was or if he was half baked or a real live person as he drove past the houses but who in their right mind was about to take a chance on a passing car when they couldn't make out the figure inside it. He knew he wouldn't go running after it, that's for sure! Up ahead was a small shack. He thought he recognized it from his youth and as he got closer he did. It was an old fishing shack on the outside of town that he and his friends used to go to and play at when they were young teens. He drove slowly past it and then looked up ahead to the next landmark he knew. Mills market was on the corner and he was only a five minute walk from his parent's house. As he was driving he would be there in probably just a minute. He couldn't wait as the excitement overtook him and he began to step a little harder on the gas. The snow was deeper and all he did was cause the car so swerve so he immediately slowed down and took his time. If they were there they would wait another minute for him he was sure. A few seconds later he turned the corner of his old block wondering if any of them would be there to greet him he found the house where he grew up in and stopped the car in front of it and got out running to the front door maybe he will find mom, dad, or Benjy waiting for him inside. The long wait for him was over. To be continued... NOTE** Tunnel will be out with a new chapter within a few days and it should help anyone who might be confused about BT to get caught up some. I am in the process of blending the two together and making both stories a little easier to follow from here on out so hang in there until the next chapter of Tunnel comes out and hopefully by the end of the chapter most if not all of you should understand what is happening. Within the next few chapter of both stories everything will make sense so if you are still confused after reading chapter 66 of Tunnel hang in there and it will eventually make sense to all.
