Subject: Will and Tom Part Four (Young Friends)

After the talk Will felt a lot better about things and they actually had
a good weekend together. They'd played on Will's PS4 and just hung out
together. Rob started to tell Will more about his life overseas. Will
opened up to Rob about the struggles he'd been having at school. By the
end of the weekend they were both in a position where they understood
each other better. Will thought that was a decent platform to build on.
Rob would never replace his parents but at least he might start to be
able to provide Will with some of the support he needed.

The next week at school passed pretty much the same as the previous one.
Tom was still sticking close to Will. Tom was clearly highly intelligent.
At least academically anyway, socially he was definitely not that
advanced. Tom would talk non stop at times with whatever thoughts were in
his head. Each day at school still ended with Tom saying goodbye to Will
using the same parting call of " Have a good wank!"

Friday lunchtime they were sitting outside on the grass. It was a warm
early June day and the sun lifted Will's spirits. He could see Tom was
enjoying himself too. After a bit of internal discussion with himself
Will decided it was a good time to mention the whole "have a good wank"
thing. It wasn't getting on his nerves but it was a bit inappropriate he
thought.

"Tom, you know you say "have a good wank" to me when we go our
separate ways? It's probably not the best thing to say out loud."

"Why? Don't you have a wank when you get home? And isn't it good?"
Tom replied, sounding confused.

"Well yeah I guess but it's not really the done thing to say."

"Oh. Are you embarrassed about doing it then Will?"

"Um...not really although it's not something other people talk about."

"So what's the problem? You aren't embarrassed about doing it. Why do
you care what other people think or talk about?" Tom asked, sounding
even more confused.

"Well it's...oh don't worry. Just forget about it. So how has your
week been?" Will decided it was time to change the subject. He wasn't
getting anywhere and there was no point making a big deal about it.

"It's been okay. Some of the teachers and students scare me a bit but
you're here to look after me so that helps. I'm feeling safer here than
at my last school. It's almost the weekend and after lunch it's the
highlight of my week!"

"Oh what's that?" Will asked, not really sure what the answer could
be.

"Swimming! When I get to see your big dick again!" Tom said
enthusiastically.

Will blushed slightly before hastily changing the subject on to asking
Tom's favourite Star Wars movie. Will let Tom babble on, the words
flowing out in a torrent. As he let the words wash over him Will realised
he actually enjoyed spending time with Tom. There was an innocence to
him. A gentleness that most other boys their age didn't have. He'd
rather Tom didn't make a big deal about seeing Will's dick but then
again he did like the fact it was big so what was the problem?

As they got changed for swimming he could feel Tom's eyes on him as he
stripped off. However there was no vocal outburst this time much to his
relief. Tom still spoke a million miles an hour at times about the most
trivial of things but whether by design or luck he seemed to veer away
from topics Will was uncomfortable with. At least in public when other
boys were around anyway. When it was just the two of them Tom was
definitely unfiltered. As he was that day after school.

"So Will. Do you look at porn when you wank off? I don't know what it
is admittedly but I've heard other boys say they do. Do you look at
it?" Tom asked him as they walked out the school gates.

Will looked around and tried to change the subject but he knew once Tom
had something on his mind he usually wouldn't be diverted. So it was no
surprise when Tom brought it back to the wanking.

"How long does it take you to wank off and does it take longer with a
bigger dick?" Tom asked. Will realised he was clearly not to be
dissuaded from talking about it.

"I don't know, I don't time myself. I have no idea on your second
question but I'd guess not. This is all very personal Tom. It's not
really something to talk about particularly here.Let's talk about
something else."

"Oh. Okay well I'm just curious. I like to learn and know about things.
Books don't really explain everything and the internet is full of shit.
It's nice to hear you tell me about things I don't know. Don't worry.
You can answer my questions next time. Anyway this is my road. Have a
good wank and see you Monday!"

Will shook his head as Tom walked away. He was unique. Will decided he'd
just have to put up with Tom's questions and answer them the best he
could. As he walked the rest of the way home he realised something that
was becoming clearer. He liked Tom. He liked spending time with Tom and
he liked looking after him. He thought his parents would be proud of him
which was something he knew might not have been the case for some of his
behaviour recently. Somehow this small blond boy had weaved his way into
Will's life and things were changing for the better.

The final few weeks of the school year passed the same way as the
previous ones from when Tom had started school. He still stuck to Will
closely but Will found it less suffocating than before. Even so Will knew
he needed some time off.
By the end of the last week of school Will was ready for a break from
school. He was relieved the school year was over. It had been a very hard
one. At times he had felt so lost that he thought he wouldn't find his
way out. But now he could relax and spend time just processing the events
of the past few months.

The headteacher had called him for a chat after his final lesson on the
last day. He complimented him on how well he'd done with Tom.

"Tom says he's settled in well and he puts that all on you. I'm sure
he's told you some of his troubles at his old school. I don't want that
to happen to him here so come the new school year I still want you to
keep an eye on him."

"It's fine sir. We've become really good friends. Tom is...special.
He's really helped keep me calm."

"That's good to hear Will. Tom talks very highly of you and I hope that
this all continues next year. Well done. Now have a good break. You've
had a tough year and hopefully some time relaxing will help you clear
your head and come back refreshed. Now off you go and see you in
September."

Will left the office to see Tom standing there waiting for him.

"I thought you'd gone!" Will said in surprise as Tom started to walk
alongside him, slightly too close as usual so that Will had to veer to
avoid bumping into this.

"I was waiting for you Will! You know I always walk with you after
school and so I have to wait until you're ready to go. I can't not walk
with you, it's my routine and I can't change that! Anyway I was only
waiting a few minutes and I didn't have to rush home. I probably won't
see you until September as we're away all holiday. I'm really going to
miss you! My parents still won't let me have a phone so I can't message
you. I think they think people will bully me by sending me messages. I'm
going to try and persuade them I need one when we're away. I'm going to
miss you though. I'll definitely miss swimming. But it's not long till
September."

As they walked along the road towards where Tom turned off Will realised
he would also miss Tom. He didn't want to tell him that though. Will
didn't like talking about his feelings. Tom was the one who talked about
everything, not Will. As they reached Tom's road he turned to Will. To
Will's complete surprise Tom gave him a big hug.

"Thanks for being my best friend Will. I'll see you in September. Hope
you have loads of great wanks over the summer!"

"Er thanks Tom, you're my best friend too. See you in a few weeks."
Will said. Was Tom his best friend? Possibly. He didn't have anyone he
spent as much time with. In any case he knew Tom would like to hear that.
Then Tom broke the hug and ran off down his road.

Will watched him disappear thinking things would be quite quiet and
boring without Tom around. He'd hated the idea of looking after Tom at
first but things really had developed between them. Tom's innocence and
his good heart had made a real impact on Will. It had helped him not get
into trouble as much and for that Will was very grateful. Still, a bit of
time apart wouldn't be the worst thing in the world he reasoned..
