Any comments (good or bad) are welcomed! Thanks to the people who've encouraged me to continue! You know who you are! <3 Sleepless Nights 2 I woke up and it was still dark out. I didn't know where I was, I started freaking out but then, I remembered. It wasn't just a dream. This was real. I was in your bed. I was sleeping next to you. You were mine; I was yours. It was all too good to be true. I looked over at you and you seemed so peaceful, so serene. I don't know if you know this, but you smile in your sleep and it's incredibly cute. And as creepy as it sounds, I could've watched you for hours. Then, I saw my phone on your dresser, it was flashing like crazy. I didn't want to look at the messages. I didn't want to listen to those voicemails. Reality was setting in. I wasn't in bed with a boy; I was in bed with a girl. I left the concert last night with a girl. I kissed a girl for the first time yesterday. A girl. I was overwhelmed with those thoughts; I thought a shower would do me good. I quietly got out of bed and stepped into the shower. I had so much thinking to do. I stood there with my eyes closed and the warm water running down my body. One thing was for sure; I wanted to be with you no matter what. I just didn't know how I could tell my friends. I'm sure it was obvious to them by now, but I was afraid of what they had to say. I was so lost in my thoughts, I didn't even notice when you joined me. You wrapped your arms around my waist and I almost had a heart attack. Thankfully, you were holding me or I would have fallen over! The skin-to-skin contact between us was so electrifying. You kissed the back of my neck, sending a shock down my spine. I turned around to face you. And I've seen girls naked before, but you were something else. You were gorgeous. I have a serious problem with staring when it comes to you. "I was scared you left me, but then I heard the shower running." "I wouldn't leave you silly! I just needed to think." "Yea, you didn't even notice me coming in. What were you thinking about?" "You, love." You leaned in to kiss me. I pulled you closer and our bodies melted together as one. You pushed me against the shower wall and started kissing my neck. I don't even know how long we were in the shower, but someone knocked on the bathroom door. I froze. It was your mom. I wasn't sure what to do, but she definitely ruined the moment. You turned off the water and calmly went to the door. Unfortunately, your shower has a clear curtain, so there was nowhere that I could hide. I think your mom saw me, but if she did, she didn't say anything. I was freaking out but when you came back you acted as if nothing happened. We got out of the shower and went to your room. "What did your mom say?" "Nothing, she just told me she wanted to meet you." "What?! How did she know?" "I don't know, my mom is pretty smart. Don't worry she'll love you. I know I do." You took my hand and gave it a light squeeze, along with a peck on my forehead. You lead me down the stairs and into the kitchen area. I was numb, and you were practically dragging me. You stood behind me with your arms around my waist. I felt weird because your mom was right there. I didn't understand how you could be so open. Your mom stuck out her hand to greet me and I did the same. "It's nice to meet you Aunty Robin." "Sorry about interrupting your shower, I didn't want you two running up my water bill." "Mommm," "Sweetie, you two were in there for almost an hour." We talked to your mom for a while, and I became more comfortable talking with her. She seemed like a lovely woman. I heard a car come into your garage and a lady came through the front door. That lady then gave your mother a kiss on the lips. And at first I was in total shock but then it all made sense. Now I understood why your mom was so accepting and why you were so relaxed. You took me by the hand and we headed back to your room. I had so many questions but I kept them to myself, they could be answered later. And just as we got to your bedroom, my phone started ringing. You told me to answer it, but I really didn't want to. It was my friend, Kimi. We lay in your bed, and I was in your arms. I took a deep breath and accepted the call. I knew what was coming. "Casey, what the fuck?" "What are you talking about." "You know damn well what I'm talking about. You left with that girl last night; you didn't even know her for god's sake. And she's a girl. What, are you a fucking dyke now?" "What the hell Kimi, I can do what I want. So what if she's a girl, why does that even matter? And you have no right to say that. Stop being like this." "Go to hell you fucker." At this point, I was shaking. I was so mad. Why would she say something like that?! It felt like she punched me in the gut. I started crying, and you told me that it was going to be okay. You said that everything was going to be all right, and I wanted to believe you. I really did. But I couldn't. I couldn't see anything ever being all right. You moved the hair out of my face and gently wiped away my tears. You hugged me so tight; it felt so good to be in your arms. I looked up at you, and you pressed your forehead against mines. I think, I love you. I've known you for hours, and I think I've fallen in love with you. Is that weird? I hope not, because it feels so right. You told me that a walk might help ease my mind, and I reluctantly agreed. We were holding hands and I could swear that every person that walked by us gave us dirty looks, although it could have been my imagination. I wanted to let go, but you held on tight as if you knew exactly what I was thinking. We rounded a corner and nearly crashed into my friend Lauren. A million things were racing through my mind and I was just really hoping that she wasn't going to act like Kimi. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry miss?wait, Casey?" "Hey, uhm, sorry Lauren, I'll see you later." I tried to walk away quickly with you following closely behind. But Lauren caught my arm. "Wait, Casey, wait. Kimi told me about last night. She was wrong for saying the things she said to you. But I want you to know that I'm okay with it, I'll love you no matter what." "Really? Thanks, Lauren, that means a lot to me. But, uhm, well this is my, uhm, girlfriend, Hayley." "It's nice to meet you Hayley, treat her good kay?" "I will. It's nice to meet you too." "You two make a cute couple Case, you got to fill me in later okay? I'll see you later, love." She gave me a hug and walked away. I was really shocked at how well Lauren reacted. I was so happy. Beyond happy. I practically jumped into your arms. "I told you everything was going to be all right." "You did, didn't you? Well, I'm starting to believe you now. I just really hope Kimi comes around."
