Author’s note:
A straight boy falls in love with a beautiful TG girl. When she finally reveals herself to him, he is shocked and deeply conflicted. I hope you enjoy this work of fiction.

I'm Bill, a tenth-grade high school student. School just started after just summer break and as always, there are some new faces. Lindsey Glenberg was one of them, and a truly stunning girl. Most girls are pretty nice to look at, but Lindsey caught and held my attention. She was pretty and wore the most girlie clothes I had ever seen. Of course, girls wear girl clothes, but most don't wear anything especially attractive. A lot of them wore jeans, and I did enjoy watching their cheeks move as they walked, but the clothing wasn't all that nice.

Lindsey never wore jeans, or slacks of any kind. She always wore a skirt or dress, and looked wonderfully feminine. When I first saw her, I wanted to go up and talk with her, but I'm not very good at talking with girls. It seems that boys and girls have lived in such different worlds that it's difficult to find things to talk about.

Beyond that, a boy can't usually get away with saying what they really think. Most of us would just love to get a girl's clothes off, but we don't dare say so. I knew that somehow if a guy is to get lucky he needs to learn to talk with a girl, and gradually bring her to wanting let him undress her.

I had biology class right after lunch, and on the first day I was pleased to see that Lindsey was in my class. I realized that I didn't stand a chance, but when the teacher assigned us to be lab partners I hardly knew what to say (just like I usually was with girls).

Fortunately, she had a way of really putting me at ease and I found that talking with her was no problem at all for me. Pretty soon we were talking about common interests and found that we had much we could share. She was really into science, as I was and together we ended up taking our biology lab assignments well past what the teacher had assigned and ended up not only getting top grades, but extra credit as well.

After a week I felt comfortable enough to ask Lindsey out, though I was still pretty nervous about it. It seemed that none of the other guys had "discovered" her yet, but I knew it was just a matter of time, so I had to make my move.

"Would you like to go out with me on Saturday?" I asked, "Maybe to a movie or something."

"That's really nice of you, Bill," she said, "But I'm really not dating now – we just moved in and I'm trying to get settled."

I should have known. Well at least she let me down easy. I should have known I didn't stand a chance with a girl like Lindsey.

We continued to work well together in biology, and started to have lunch together – not exactly a date, but a move in the right direction. After a couple of weeks Lindsey said, "Bill, I wasn't entirely open with you."

"Oh?" I responded, "What do you mean?"

"When I told you that I wasn't dating because I was just getting settled," she explained, "That was only half the story."

"What's the rest?" I asked.

"It's true that I'm getting settled," she continued, "But the main reason is my mother has forbidden me to date."

"Why?" I asked

"She's really protective and very conservative, and thinks that boys are just trouble," Lindsey replied.

"Well what do you think?" I asked.

"I want to date," Lindsey replied, "And know that some boys are trouble, but you seem really nice."

"Thank you," I said, thrilled that there may yet be hope for me.

"When I said I wanted to date," Lindsey said, "What I really meant was that I wanted to date YOU."

Now that was totally unexpected! "Well, how can we date without your mother knowing?" I asked.

"I could meet you somewhere," she said, "Like at the mall – that way you aren't coming to my house and my mother won't know."

"That sounds like it will work," I said, "Lindsey I really want to date you, but don't want you to get into trouble."

"It will be fine," she said, "We just need to be careful about it."

That Saturday I met Lindsey at the mall a little before noon and walked around a bit and I found that we were talking about all sorts of things. It was kind of like she was a sister to me, but I would never feel like I do about a sister!

The mall had a food court with about fifteen different food stands. We found some food we liked and she was getting her money out when I insisted on paying for her lunch. She seemed really surprised but quickly gave in.

As we ate Lindsey said, "Your buying me lunch makes me feel special."

"Well, I think you're special," I said, "Hasn't a guy ever bought you lunch before?"

"No," confessed Lindsey, looking down, perhaps in shame. I realized that I may have caused her embarrassment and quickly sought to make it right.

"Any guy who doesn't appreciate you just isn't thinking straight," I said.

"Bill, I feel like I can say things to you that I can't say to other guys," she said.

"Tell me anything you like," I said, "I'm interested."

"I've only been with guys a few times," Lindsey began "And it always went badly."

I decided not to ask any questions, but just let her go on.

"A couple of guys smacked me around where we lived last," she said, "Which is why we moved."

"No wonder your mother doesn't want you dating!" I agreed, "But I'm not like that – I don't want you to take my word for it – I want you to experience it."

"I am," said Lindsey, smiling.

We finished lunch and I threw out our trash. We resumed walking, but with a difference this time – Lindsey took my hand in hers. It may have been a small thing but for me it was electrifying!
