The Reynolds Twins

By: Kewl Dad
Wedding Bells

The final chapter

Chapter 52

Twin Cakes

The New Year brought a mixture of good and bad for the boys, their friends and families. The good: a new CD released in January had revived the boys sagging popularity. The good: the upcoming wedding of Jimmy and Jaden, and Aidan and Zak. The bad: a new virus first discovered in China had finally made it's way to the US and was rapidly spreading among the population.

At first the boys were concerned that it might make it necessary to postpone their wedding till things got better. Instead, they decided to keep the wedding small and invite only immediate family and friends. In addition, all attending, including the four grooms, would be tested prior to the event.

Since so little was known at this point about the disease, they decided to err on the side of caution and enlisted their family physician's counsel before deciding anything.

The wedding was to be held in the little church that the twin's parents had been attending semi-regularly since discovering it. Jimmy's and Zak's folks had attended once or twice as well, so they were well acquainted with Mandy Lewis, the minister.

The church would already be decorated  for Valentine's Day, but Mrs. Reynolds also enlisted the help of a local florist in adding floral displays, as well as providing the corsages for the boys' tuxedos. The bridal bouquet, which was an age old tradition, would be skipped this time, and the boys would instead throw a single rose in the air for some lucky person or persons to catch.

There would be three cakes, one for each couple, and one large sheet cake for the guests. Following the double ceremony, there would be a reception with finger foods, punch, and other non alcoholic drinks. The only exception to no alcohol would be the champagne the happy couple would drink once the knot was tied. Everyone else would have to toast with punch.

Afterwards, the happy couple would drive to a secluded house on the lake for a week long honeymoon away from the virus and the cares of the world. The lakeside house was actually large and modern, with three bedrooms, two living areas, and a large fully equipped kitchen. Mrs. Reynolds had personally stocked it with everything the four would need, and there were restaurants nearby as well, if they decided to eat out. There was a pool, as well as access to the lake, and an in-board motor boat was available for their  use as well.

It would be a dream-like vacation for the two couples, and they were looking forward to it, although they couldn't help but be concerned about their parents and the others, what with the new virus running rampant throughout the population.

The night before the wedding, both couples slept apart, but there was so much to do that none of them felt that deprived. Jimmy's dad had finally accepted the reality that his step son was getting married to a man, and he had to admit that the man he was marrying was a fine and decent one.

Mel, and Jimmy's mom, as well as Jason, were excited for the new couples, and Jason in particular was happy to have Zak home and sharing a room with him once again, even if only for one night.

The Reynolds' house was abuzz with activities for several days, and Mrs. Reynolds, who had worked very hard to make sure everything was just right, now had conflicted feelings about the fact that all her careful planning and hard work was about to come to fruition.  She was losing both her sons to marriage, though she couldn't have asked for better sons-in-law, she still felt a sense of loss. Her little boys were all grown up now and moving on. She knew it was silly, that they'd actually moved on when they went to college, but this seemed more final and more devastating.

She was glad she still had the younger twins, but she knew someday they too would grow up and go off to college, and soon after she might find herself planning their weddings as well. Her husband sensed her mood and was especially attentive to her that day and evening, and that night he made love to  her, and that more than anything, restored her peace of mind.

As they lay basking in their afterglow she confided her feelings to her husband who revealed that he too had mixed feelings about the boys wedding. However, in the end they decided they weren't losing their sons, they were gaining two new ones, for they loved Jimmy and Zak as if they were blood kin.

In the twin's room, the two young men snuggled up, but sex wasn't on either boy's mind. They had come so far to arrive at this moment and it was just as overwhelming for them as it was for their parents. They talked softly about past times and made plans for the future, and soon they fell asleep in each other's arms.

Later, their mother would peek in the room and see them cuddled up as she had seen them so many times over the  years and a tear ran down her face. Her little boys were men now, but sleeping they still seemed childlike and innocent. She quietly closed the door and returned to bed and did some snuggling of her own, and soon joined the household in blissful sleep.

The twins were up early, all four of them, and the Reynolds house was a noisy place that morning. Though the older members of the household found they had little appetite, the youngest twins had to be fed, and everyone else managed to eat enough to calm their nervous stomachs.

"Mom, dad were you this nervous the day of your wedding?" Aidan asked looking a little green.

"God yes, I thought I was going to pass out," his dad chuckled, "then I saw your mother, and I thought about how lucky I was, and I forgot all about being nervous."

"As I recall you were still shaking a little when you put the ring on my finger," Mrs. Reynolds chuckled, "but you were so handsome, and that first kiss was so...so nice."

"Okay, okay...don't go into detail," Jaden teased, "we sure don't want to hear about the wedding night," he laughed.

"No worries, that's personal stuff," Mr. Reynolds said winking at his wife.

"Four hours," Aidan said then, "in four hours I'll be a married man," he added with a nervous smile, "I don't know why I'm so nervous, it's not like Zak is a stranger."

"Getting married is a big step, a real commitment, and it's natural that you feel this way. It means you're taking it seriously, and that it's important, that Zak is important to you," Mrs. Reynolds said.

"Yeah," Aidan sighed, "as important as the rest of my family. Oh mom, dad...I'm so happy, but I'm sad too. Does that make sense? I feel like I'm leaving something behind, but I'm gaining something even better."

"All part of growing up and finding yourself, of becoming a man. I'd be worried if you didn't feel those emotions," Mr. Reynolds assured him.

"What A said," Jaden said grinning, "he's always better at expressing his feelings, our feelings, and I feel the same way."

"You may be the tough guy, but you're just a teddy bear inside," his mother said reaching over to pat his flat tummy. As always she was amazed at how fit and beautiful her sons had grown up to be, and she couldn't help but smile.

"Aww...mom," Jaden said blushing, "don't tell anyone our little secret, they might not respect me as much if they knew the real me," he chuckled.

"Chris and Chrissy will be so cute being your flower girl and ring bearer," Mrs. Reynolds said then, turning her attention to the youngest members of the family.

"Yeah, it's gonna be great. That reminds me, what time are the photographers going to be there?" Aidan asked.

They spent the next half hour or so discussing logistics and times while they finished their breakfast, then the boys went off to their room to call their fiances.

The hours seemed to pass slowly at first, but then it was time to get dressed, and they panicked, fearful they would miss their own wedding.

"Calm down boys," Mr. Reynolds chuckled, "we have plenty of time, the church is only a five minute drive.

"Oh my, you look so handsome," Mrs. Reynolds said tearfully.

The two were dressed in matching white tuxedos with light blue trim, light blue ruffled front shirts, and white bow ties. Their shoes were white as well, and at the church they would add a blue flower in their lapel to complete the look.

Jimmy and Zak however, would be wearing matching blue tuxedos, with white trim and white ruffled front shirts, and blue bow ties, black shoes, and a white flower in their lapel.

Though they hadn't actually seen the two looks side by side, they were sure the contrast would be stunning, and...make it easier to tell who was with who, as if that was a problem.

Chrissy wore a frilly blue floral print dress with white lace and white sandals, while Chris wore a tiny white tuxedo exactly like his older brothers', and the look was completed with tiny white shoes.

"Oh, man...you two look great," Jaden said giving his little brother and sister a kiss on the cheek, "you guys have a very important part in all this, you know that right?"

"Yess," Chris giggled, "you can't get married to uncle Jimmy if I don't give ya the ring."

"That's right, and Chrissy, without your flowers, well...it just wouldn't be a proper wedding. So...are you guys ready to do this thing?"

"Yess!" they both cried out excitedly.

"You look great boys, and girls," Mr. Reynolds said, near tears himself. Let's get some pics before we go. I know we'll have plenty of professional ones later, but I want to get some of you guys here in the place you grew up in."

Their parents took several pictures and even a short video before they finally announced they were ready to go. Mrs. Kelly wore a beautiful blue and white floral print dress with white sandals and Mr. Kelly wore a black tuxedo with blue trim, blue shirt, black bow tie, and black shoes. The whole family looked stunning, and Aidan suggested they set the camera on timer and get a pic of all of them together. Jaden had a better idea and rushed to his room to get his selfy stick, and with that they were able to get several nice pictures of them all. That done, they loaded up in the Durango and headed to the church.

When they arrived at the church, they were not surprised to find that their matching Mustangs now sported Just Married signs, streamers, and tin cans hung off the back bumper. The cars  had been driven there the night before, and after the wedding the boys would change into street clothes then take their own cars to the cabin.

"Oh man, everything but shaving cream," Jaden laughed.

"I'm sure that will come soon," Mr. Kelly laughed, "It has to be done at the last minute. You boys will have to hit the car wash before you drive to the lake."

"Yeah, no doubt," Aidan said, "good thing we have a change of clothes ready to go."

"Yes, I need to get those tux back before noon tomorrow," Mrs. Reynolds reminded them.

"Man, there sure are a lot of cars here," Jaden noted, "did we really invite this many people?"

"I'd say it's about right," Mr. Reynolds said, "I'm sure the record company sent a couple of people too."

"Yeah, well...I hope they didn't mind getting tested, cause we're not taking any chances," Aidan said frowning.

"There was zero tolerance there, so don't worry. Tim, the nurse we hired to do the testing and screening, made sure of that."

"Well, here we go," Jaden said climbing out and straightening his jacket.

When Aidan climbed out, suddenly Jaden pulled him into a full body hug, "Well, little brother, here we go. When we were kids, did you ever think we'd wind up getting married together?"

"No, but it just seems natural after all we've been through together. I can't think of any other person I'd rather do this with."

"Me either, well...shall we?" He said slipping an arm around his brother's shoulders.

As discussed earlier, the family entered the back door near the minister's office, and found her waiting for them there.

"Oh my, you all look so nice," she said smiling. Pastor Lewis was wearing a nice blue dress, white heels and had little crosses in her pierced ears. She was a short, petite woman, but she was a powerful speaker, and had a cheerful and outgoing personality that won people over quickly.

"Oh, your dress is beautiful," Mrs. Reynolds said looking her over, "where's the photographer? I'd like to get some pictures of all of us together before the ceremony starts..."

Mark, the photographer, who wore a mask, despite testing negative, was very cooperative and friendly. After taking a few pics of the boys, youngest twins, the parents, then a group photo, the photographer went into the chapel to talk to the videographer, who actually worked for the record company.

Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds took the  younger twins and went off then to find the other parents, leaving the two boys alone for the moment.

"I wonder if Jimmy and Zak are already here?" Jaden wondered, "I know we agreed we wouldn't see each other till we marched down the aisle, but what if they didn't show up?"

"Don't be silly, of course they're here. They were supposed to come in through the other door and wait in the classroom over there, and we're supposed to wait here in the office."

"I know, I know, but what if something goes wrong? I just want everything to be perfect," Jaden fussed.

Aidan laughed, "I'm the one who's supposed to be a nervous wreck, not you. Will you relax? If something was wrong, mom and dad would come tell us."

"Oh, yeah, right," Jaden said, finally relaxing.

"Come on, you need to sit down before you pass out."

"The Minister returned a bit later, all smiles, and assured the boys that everything was going as planned and that the church had never been this packed.

"I just wish I had that many people here for one of my Sunday sermons," she teased.

"Maybe some of them will come back," Aidan offered, "I mean, the few times I've been here, I've really felt at  home and enjoyed the sermon and the fellowship."

"Yeah, even I liked it," Jaden joked, "and I'm not the most Godly boy on earth."

"Did you talk to Zak and Jimmy?" Aidan wondered.

"Yes, and they're as nervous and excited as you two are. They will meet you in the vestibule just like we rehearsed it. We're lucky that the weather is good, since you'll have to go outside to get to the front of the church."

"Yeah, well...so far it looks like everything is perfect," Jaden admitted, "then why am I so nervous," he laughed.

"Because today you are leaving the old Jaden behind and becoming a new person, one who will be  sharing their life with their other half."

"Yeah," Jaden said wiping at his eyes, "I never knew loving anyone could be so...so, emotional," he laughed.

"We're both very lucky to have found our soul mates this early in life," Aidan said, wiping away a few tears of his own. I can't wait to slip that ring on Zak's finger and make  him mine for real."

"Speaking of rings, that kid brother of ours better not lose them," Jaden joked.

"Are you kidding, in rehearsal the kid got it perfect the very first time. I think he may have a career in acting or modeling coming his way," Aidan chuckled.

"Maybe Henry can be his agent too," Jaden suggested, "and mom and dad will be set for life."

"They're already set for life," Aidan reminded him, "Dad can provide for them, and anything extra they need, we got it covered with our royalties."

"Yeah, it's nice being able to give back after all those  years of mooching," Jaden joked.

"It's not mooching," Aidan reminded him, "it's what parents do, it's sharing, and it's family. I only regret that we won't have kids of our own to provide for, but maybe we can adopt."

"Yeah, actually Jimmy and I have talked about it before, and we both want kids, but not for a while."

"Yeah, we need to finish school and figure out what we're going to do with our lives."

"Do you think we could peek out there and see what's going on?" Jaden said  nervously.

"I have a better idea, there's a little window in the loft overlooking the chapel. It's a one way window so no one can see you," she laughed, "sometimes I like to see what I'm going down to before I start the service."

"Show us please," Jaden begged, and they were off to the loft.

"Oh my gosh," Jaden said, changing the last word in deference to Mandy's presence, "there are a lot of people out there. Hey, there's the gang on the second row, and the Greens and Dee's mom. And on the front row, there's dad and Jimmy and Zak's folks. I guess mom must be with Chrissy and Chris."

"Dee looks so pretty. I bet she wishes she and Jeremy were joining us," Aidan observed.

"Yeah, but look at it like this, we can look forward to their wedding sometime in the future."

"I hope they'll let me officiate as well," Mandy said smiling, "they're both lovely young people, and such a nice looking couple."

"I think you can count on it," Aidan assured her, "we'll make sure of that."

"Well, boys...it's almost time. Are you satisfied now that you've seen the crowd?" she chuckled.

"Yeah, let's do this thing," Jaden said, suddenly feeling very confident, and more like his old self.

While Mandy returned to the chapel, the two boys slipped out the side door and headed around the building, along the sidewalk, to the front of the church.

As they rounded the corner, Zak and Jimmy met them and the four locked eyes with one another.

"Man, you guys look good," Jaden stammered.

"You too handsome," Jimmy said smiling, "are you as nervous as I am?"

"Worse," Aidan said before Jaden could answer, "He's been a bundle of nerves since we woke up this morning."

"Me too," Zak said, "but it's almost time. I just hope I don't pass out, or mess up my vows."

"You won't," Aidan said smiling, come on, let's do this thing."

As they stepped into the vestibule, Mrs. Reynolds and the two youngest twins were there to greet them.

"Oh my boys, you look so handsome, and the contrasts in your tuxedos are stunning," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Thanks mom," Aidan said giving her a kiss on the cheek, "well, here we go..."

As rehearsed, Mrs. Reynolds would accompany Chrissy and Chris up the aisle, as Chrissy strew flowers along the way. Then at the altar, Chrissy would stand on one side and Chris on the other while their mom took her seat on the front row.

When the two little twins were in place and Mrs. Reynolds seated, the piano began to play the wedding march, and all eyes were turned to watch the two couples stroll up the aisle, hand in hand. The aisle was wide enough that they marched side by side, blue-white, blue-white, and the contrast was stunning.

A gasp went through the audience and there were few dry eyes in the church, including those of the two couples, as they slowly made their way past friends and family on their way to the altar.

When they arrived at the altar, they took their places in front of Mandy, who was all smiles as she looked out at her congregation, as well as all the friends and family of the two couples.

"Welcome, welcome to the joining of these two handsome couples on this, Valentine's Day, the day of lovers," she said, and there was a spattering of applause and smiles everywhere.

"Today we are here to celebrate the love and commitment of Jaden Reynolds and Jimmy Harrison, and of Aidan Reynolds and Zak Wheeler."

"These four men have come before me and professed their love for one another, and though no certificate or ceremony can make that love any stronger, they  have chosen to enter into the bonds of holy matrimony as is their legal right in this state. There was a time when such a joining would have not been legal, and in fact would have been thought to be outrageous, but these are new and more enlightened times, and it has been my honor to officiate at many such ceremonies in my short time here."

"Our two couples today, Jaden and Jimmy, and Aidan and Zak, have written their own vows, which they will now recite."

"Ladies and gentleman, I give you the two happy couples."

There was another polite spattering of applause, but no one wanted to miss the words that were spoken next, by a very nervous Jaden Reynolds.

Though by reputation the tougher, more confident twin, the boy was a bundle of nerves as he turned to his fiance, soon to be husband, and looked into his eyes.

One look into Jimmy's eyes however had a sudden calming effect on him. If there was ever any shadow of a doubt that this was the right thing to do, those doubts were washed away by the sunshine of life and love the two shared in that moment.

"Jimmy," Jaden began in a low steady voice, tinged with emotion, "we have known each other a very long time, and though in the beginning we weren't friends. Heck, we were enemies," he chuckled, and the crowd joined in, most of them now knowing the story of Jaden and Jimmy's checkered pasts. "But even when we hated each other, I think we had feelings for one another. I know that makes no sense, but maybe we were trying to hide those feelings by behaving like enemies. Then the most wonderful thing happened, we became friends, and our friendship grew, more and more as each day passed, and well...before we knew it, we were in love."

"You know, as surprising as that was for some of our friends and certainly our parents, to me it just seemed natural. One look in your eyes and I forget all that bad history and I only see the boy I love, the boy of my dreams, and now..." he paused to sniff back a tear or two, but he wasn't alone, even some of the men in the audience suddenly found their eyes wet, "I am going to make you mine...officially. Jimmy, my love, my heart, here before all these people, and our parents, and God, I declare to you that I will love and cherish and stick with you through sickness and health, through the good and the bad, for as long as we both shall live."

Jimmy wiped at his eyes, steeling himself for his own vows, as he heard the last words spoken. He knew it was time, but he worried his words would not be so eloquent, nor as moving, however he need not have worried.

"Jaden, before I met you, my life was up and down, and not a very happy one, but you showed me what life could be, what love could be, and for that I owe you my life. I think I have always loved you, or at least admired you, even when I professed my hatred for you and made your life miserable...or tried to," he said grinning, "but in the end you were stronger, and better, and even though you could have truly put me in my place, instead you befriended me, your whole family, and all your friends, and you showed me a better way. I can't  imagine my life without you now, and I don't want to ever find out what that's like. I may never understand why you, of all boys, a boy who could have anyone, has chosen me, but I have accepted that you love me as much as I love you, and that is all that matters. Jaden, my love, my life, I look forward to spending my life with you, and this ceremony is only a small part of my commitment to you, to love, honor, and share my life with you, the boy I love."

Not one dry eye could be found after Jimmy's vows were finished, and it took a few moments for everyone to compose themselves. Jaden immediately pulled Jimmy into a hug, but the kiss would wait till the final words of the ceremony were read.

Now it was Aidan's turn, and everyone's eyes turned to  the other couple.

"Zak Wheeler," Aidan said taking his lover's hands in his, "from the first day we met I knew there was something very special about you. You were shy and introverted and I saw in you a lot of the same feelings that I kept inside myself. My brother Jaden was always the leader, and I the follower, but with you I felt as if we were on level ground. It didn't hurt that you were just so darn cute," he chuckled, and the audience joined in for a moment, "and sweet...I've never known anyone as sweet as you. But despite all your obvious attributes, you are still one of the most humble people I know. As our love grew, your confidence in yourself and life seemed to grow, and you branched out and discovered things within you that you never knew existed. Today, standing before me is a confident, talented, and well adjusted young man, that I love, so, so much. But even now I still see that boy that I fell in love with all those years ago. The boy I've come to accept as the one person that I want to spend the rest of my life with. Zak, my love, I promise this to you. I will always love you, cherish you, and be there for you, through the good, and the bad, from now till the end. Zak Wheeler, today I profess my love to you for all to hear, forever and ever."

More tears were shed, but it was more or less a continuous process, and everyone was ready when at last Zak began.

"Aidan Reynolds, the love of my life, my soul mate, my best friend, the reason I climb out of bed each morning and the last face I love to see each night, I love you more than words can say. To spend the rest of my life with you is an honor and a privilege.  If I have changed for the better, it is because of you, for you never gave up on me, always encouraged me, and you were always there when I doubted myself or felt like giving up. Aidan, I love you more than life itself and I would gladly lay down my life for you, but instead I hope to spend the rest of my life with you, showing you just  how much you mean to me and thanking you for all you have done to me. Today is the most wonderful day of my life, but it is just the beginning for us, and there will be many more wonderful days and nights," he said grinning. Aidan, my love, I am yours, for now and forever."

More tears were shed, and there was a spattering of applause, then their was silence as the Minister began to speak.

"Jaden and Jimmy, Aidan and Zak, do you solemnly swear to love, honor and cherish your new husband for as long as this union shall last?"

Murmured yeses from the four were exchanged, then Mandy continued.

"Jaden Reynolds, do you accept Jimmy Harrison as your lawful husband, for now and for as long as you shall both agree? To love, honor, and cherish?"

"Yes, my love," Jaden said, choking back tears, "forever..."

"And you Jimmy Harrison, do you accept Jaden Reynolds as your lawfully wedded husband, for now, and for as long as you shall both agree. To love, honor, and cherish?"

"I do," Jimmy managed to say, his lips quivering and his body shaking as if he were freezing.

"The rings," Mandy said then, and on cue, little Christopher Reynolds stately marched over and held out the little blue pillow containing the rings. When Jaden and Jimmy had plucked the rings from the pillow, Chris gave the two a smile, then returned to his place at the side of the altar as he awaited his next duty.

"Jaden, repeat after me...with this ring I do thee wed," Mandy said, and as he slipped the stunning diamond ring on Jimmy's finger, Jaden repeated the words, loudly and proudly.

"Jimmy, repeat after me...with this ring I do thee wed," And when Jimmy had placed the matching ring on Jaden's finger and uttered the words, a low rumble went through the crowd, "You may now kiss your new husband," she said and everyone tittered as the two exchanged their first kiss as a married couple.

She repeated this part of the ceremony for Aidan and Zak, and once again, the smallest Reynolds male produced yet another set of rings. When the vows and rings were exchanged, and the kiss that sealed the deal over, Mandy spoke for the last time.

Ladies and Gentleman I give you the two new couples... Jaden and Jimmy, and Aidan and Zak. With the power invested in me by this state, I now declare them husband and husband, please welcome the newlyweds with a round of applause and your best wishes.

This time the crowd was quite noisy and everyone seemed to have a need to pat, or touch, or utter words of congratulations as the two couples strolled up the aisle.

Outside, the crowd followed them and more birdseed was strewn and once everyone was there, the four spread out and tossed a singe rose high into the air, a modified version of the bridal bouquet.

Jeremy managed to catch one of the roses and everyone cheered as it was no secret that the two desired to be married next. The other roses were caught by members of Mandy's congregation, and she commented that she was looking forward to four more weddings sometime soon.

The reception was held in the gathering room at the back of the church. There was a full kitchen there, but Mrs. Reynolds had opted to cater the affair, and there was a variety of food, as well as cake, punch, and a soda fountain.

After opening their gifts, the boys posed for more pictures as they cut their cakes and fed each other the first bite. It was messy and perfect, and some of the pics appeared on websites all over the world the next day. Excerpts of the video shot of the wedding and reception would follow in the days ahead, and the double gay wedding would become a symbol of just how far the LBGTQ community had come since it all began.

Next, several toasts were given, starting with Mr. Reynolds, who despite being very emotional at the moment, managed to inject some humor into the situation. The boys drank a half glass of Champagne during the toasts, while the other guests saluted with punch or soft drinks. It wasn't a matter of cost, but rather of propriety, since the ceremony was being held in a place of worship.

The reception was fun, and they enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and making new friends, but they were anxious to get their honeymoon started. Therefore, after an hour or so, the newlyweds excused themselves to go change out of their tuxedos. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds had agreed to take the gifts back to their place for storage until such time as the boys could pick them up, so the couples were free to begin their honeymoon once they'd changed.

Someone had brought the cars around, and as Mr. Reynolds predicted, they were now adorned with shaving cream messages. Just Married, Honeymoon Bound, and Him and Him in a heart, were just a few of the messages which seemed to cover every available surface.

Fortunately, the taggers had left the driver's side windshield clear so as not to interfere with their safety. After hugs, handshakes, and more bird see being thrown, the four climbed into the matching Mustangs and they were off, to the car wash.

******************************

The drive to the lake cabin was uneventful and took only about 45 minutes. The road leading up to the cabin was paved and fairly well maintained, a fact they were glad for since they were driving sports cars and not SUV's.

The cabin was actually a nice three bedroom lake house with plenty of room, a deck and marvelous view of the lake. There was a small salt water pool as well, just below the deck, and a small private beach and boat dock at the bottom of the hill.

The first thing the boys did was head to their rooms and unpack. Both the bedrooms they'd chosen had their own ensuite bath and were larger than the third bedroom. The rooms featured king size beds and were appointed in warm cozy furnishings.

By mutual decision, both couples decided a nap was the next order of business, but that was not to say there wasn't some messing around before.

Later, rested and refreshed, the couples dressed for dinner and decided to drive to a nearby restaurant for their first formal dinner as married couples.

The place was called The Steak House, and featured steaks as well as fresh catfish and other American type dinners. The place was huge, but that particular night there were only about a dozen other patrons and the four were quickly seated in a booth by a huge fireplace.

The fire burned lowly, not really giving off much heat, but adding to the ambience of the place, which was very rustic. The menu was varied and the prices not unreasonable for a restaurant of it's reputation.

Jaden and Jimmy ordered steak, Aidan the catfish, and Zak fried chicken. As they waited for their food they discussed the dessert menu, which was extensive, and decided to get that to go.

They were glad they had made that decision when they saw the size of the servings, and it was all they could do to finish their meals.

About halfway through their meal, Aidan noticed a teenage girl kept looking their way. She was with a couple who he assumed were her parents, but they seemed oblivious to whatever had attracted her attention.

"I think we have a fan at that corner booth," Aidan chuckled.

"I was hoping to escape the limelight," Jaden said sighing, "at least long enough to finish my dinner."

"Don't be rude," Aidan scolded, "it's our fans that keep the royalty checks rolling in."

"Yeah, yeah...but it's my honeymoon..."

"Mine too," Aidan said, "and so far, it's been fan....tastic."

Zak gave Aidan a sly smile and went back to his chicken. They forgot about the teenage girl for a while, but eventually Aidan glanced her way and noticed she was gone.

Assuming she'd gone to the bathroom, he turned his attention back to the table and was unaware of her approach from behind until she spoke.

"Hello, I'm sorry to bother you...um, but I couldn't help myself. I mean, how often do you get to see rock stars eating in a restaurant? I'm Julie, and I'm one of your biggest fans," she said excitedly.

"They're rock stars," Jimmy pointed out, "I'm just the husband of a rock star," he added with a smile.

"Oh, but I know you too...I mean, I know who you are Jimmy, and you and Jaden are sooo cute together. I heard about the wedding, so I guess you four are married now."

"Yes, on our honeymoon," Jaden said, trying not to sound too impatient, when all he wanted was for this teeny bopper groupie to go away.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she said blushing, then a look of indecision crossed her face before she blurted out, "but If I could just please, please, take a selfie with you guys. My girlfriends will be sooo jealous."

Aidan laughed, "Come on guys, let's give Julie something to show her girlfriends."

Jaden sighed, but he decided it would quicker to just take the photo and get it over than to argue.

"Wait, I'll get my dad to take the picture," she said rushing back with the man who had been sitting with her at the table.

"Gus Benson," he said offering his hand, "I told Julie to leave you guys alone, but you know how teenage girls are?" he chuckled.

"It's fine," Aidan said, "we were just about finished with our meal anyway."

"Julie, you've interrupted their dinner," her dad scolded, "let's get this picture taken so they can get back to it."

The five posed for a group photo, then one of just the four, and all four autographed a napkin for her. Jimmy kept insisting that he was no one, but Julie kept assuring him that he had a following of his own, despite not actually being in the band. He wasn't sure if he believed that exactly, but it was a nice stroke for his ego.

After Julie and her dad were gone, Jaden gave Aidan a withering stare, "Dude, you are way too nice. This is our honeymoon night, and we're taking pics and signing autographs."

"For one fan, who will remember this day forever," Aidan countered, "and it only took a few minutes of our time. Come on bro, look at how happy it made her. Doesn't she deserve some happiness too? I mean, look at us, we have it all, great rents, awesome husbands, a career, we're doing good at college, not to mention enough money to buy just about anything we want."

"Yeah, yeah...you're right. I'm sorry," Jaden said smiling.

"It's fine love," Jimmy said smiling, "I have a following," he muttered, and everyone laughed.

"Damn right you do," Jaden said, "and I'm the president of your fan club."

"Seriously, you contribute a lot to the band, and you're cute and sexy. Of course you have a following," Aidan assured him.

"Yeah, Jimmy, you're a cool guy and everyone loves you," Zak said leaning in to give him a hug."

When the boys got the check, they were surprised to find it had already been paid, including their desserts.

"Who took care of this?" Jaden asked the waitress.

"I'm not supposed to tell...but since they're already gone, that gentleman with the teenage daughter paid your tab. He said it was the least he could do for his daughter interrupting you on your wedding night. By the way, congratulations," the waitress said, "If I was ten years younger I'd have been begging for a picture myself."

"So, you don't like our music?" Aidan teased.

"Oh no honey, I think it's just fine, but I can't be lusting after young bucks like you," she chuckled.

When the waitress was gone, Jaden pulled out a fifty dollar bill and laid it on the table. When the others took note of this, he blushed and stammered to explain, "Well, we got off easy on the bill, and Vicky, our waitress, deserves to have some happiness too."

Aidan laughed and fished in his wallet and pulled out a twenty and added it to the fifty and Jimmy and Zak followed his lead.

"I bet that's one tip she won't forget," Zak giggled.

The trip back to the lake house only took about 20 minutes, and by mutual agreement they decided to use the hot tub and the heated pool.

"No clothes in the hot tub," Jaden warned everyone, "in fact, no clothes anywhere tonight."

"Awesome," Jimmy said stripping quickly as the others followed his lead.

The temp was mild, but they still had goose flesh by the time they made it the short distance to the deck and hopped in the hot tub. The water was hot and soothing, and the goose flesh soon cooked away.

The two couples cuddled and kissed, but that was all for now. They were still sated from the afternoon session before their nap and saving up for the main event later.

"I'm cooking," Jaden said after about 15 minutes, let's hit that pool. It's supposed to be just the right temperature for swimming year round."

The others followed Jaden to the pool and they dove in quickly to find that indeed the water was just right. It was the first time the boys had ever swam in a salt water pool, and they found it invigorating.

In the pool, they swam a bit, then floated together as couples and resumed their kissing and cuddling. Before long the four were doing a little grabbing and rubbing, which resulted in four very erect dicks.

"Don't come in the pool," Jaden teased, "it clogs up the filter."

"Huh, really?" Zak asked innocently.

"No, I'm teasing. I bet this pool has seen plenty of sea men floating around in it....get it? Sea men."

"Very funny bro," Aidan said shaking his head, "personally, I don't want Zak's sea men floating anywhere but my mouth or my ass."

"Wow, such a dirty boy," Jaden teased, "but you are going to share with me and Jimmy aren't you?"

"Of course," Aidan assured him, "that's why we've been saving ourselves all evening."

"Hey, anyone else thirsty?" Jaden said changing tracks quickly, "there are bottles of Champagne chilling in the fridge."

"I could drink some," Jimmy agreed.

"Sure bro, need help," Aidan offered.

"Yeah, come on, just you and me...we'll grab the bubbly and the glasses."

Aidan suspected Jaden had an ulterior motive for enlisting his help, but it wasn't until they were inside that Jaden spoke.

"Hey bro," Jaden said suddenly enfolding his twin brother in an anything but brotherly hug, "I love you so much, and I'm so happy for you and Zak, but...promise me, I'll always be your number one boy."

"J..." Aidan said feeling near tears, "you know it bro. No matter what. I love Zak with all my heart, but you were my first love. I think I must've loved you even before we were born. I can imagine us cuddled up together in  mom's womb, holding  hands and maybe even kissing," he said smiling, "So, no matter what happens, or how far apart we are, we'll always have this connection that we've shared all our lives."

Jaden wiped at his eyes, then managed a sly smile, "Leave it to you to over dramatize things," he chuckled, "a simple yes would have been sufficient, but thanks bro. I love you too. Come on, our husbands are waiting."

While Aidan found the plastic disposable wine glasses, Jaden dug a corkscrew out of the silverware drawer and attempted to open the Champagne. The resulting explosion when the cork came free and hit the ceiling, and the Champagne erupting from the bottle, caused both boys to laugh.

Jaden quickly solved the problem by placing his mouth over the bottle, and when it had settled down he swallowed the mouthful of Champagne and burped.

"Good stuff," he said grinning, "let's go, we can pour when we get to the pool."

They finished the first bottle quickly, and this time Jaden went by himself to grab another bottle. He also grabbed a bag of pretzels and the four floated at poolside and nibbled on the salty treats and sipped 50 dollar a bottle champagne.

"This is the life," Jaden sighed, "no worries, no schedule, no nagging parents," he teased.

"Well, if our parents hadn't nagged us, no telling where we'd have wound up today," Aidan countered.

"I was kidding about our rents, they're cool. Even when they were yelling at us and grounding us, they were cool."

"They never yelled," Aidan corrected, "they were always so calm," then he laughed, "they used the disappointment thing on us. At least for me. I felt like I was disappointing them if I messed up, and that made me want to do the right thing. If it hadn't been for a certain twin brother I might have been the perfect child."

"As far as mom and dad are concerned, you were. They still think of me as the bad child, and you as the good child," he chuckled.

"Oh, I doubt that, not after all the great things you've done lately. I think they love us equally, even if I was a little easier to deal with."

"Hey, anyone else ready for dessert?" Jaden said, quickly changing the subject once again.

"I wouldn't mind," Jimmy said.

"Yeah, but not in the pool," Aidan said, "let's grab towels and go inside."

"Okay, the Champagne is gone anyway," Jaden said draining the last bit into his glass and chugging it.

Inside, they pulled the desserts from the refrigerator and placed them on the table. Jaden had ordered molten lava cake, Jimmy key lime cheesecake, Zak carrot cake, and Aidan had ordered the bread pudding.

"Let's swap around," Jaden suggested, "everyone take a bite, then pass your dessert to the person on the right, then we all take a bite, and pass again, till we wind up with our original dessert."

"That sounds fun, and very sanitary," Aidan teased.

"Ha, if that's the most unsanitary thing we do tonight, then we'll be fine. I personally plan on having my tongue up a few butts later," Jaden laughed.

"Good point," Aidan agreed as he took a bite of his dessert then passed it to Zak.

Sitting on their towels to insulate them from the wooden chairs at the dining table, the boys continued to pass the desserts around till there were only crumbs.

"That was fun," Zak said, summing it up for all of them, "but now I'm thirsty again."

"More bubbly, or shall we save some for tomorrow? There's beer, soda, or Gatorade," Jaden said digging in the huge side by side refrigerator.

"I'll have a Coke," Aidan said, "I've had enough alcohol for one night."

They selected a drink and carried them with them to the living room, where they piled on the couch and love seat and sipped their drinks and talked.

"I wonder if we're the first gay married couples to share their wedding  night?" Jaden chuckled, "It's kind of hot thinking about it."

"I've never heard of any gay couples even getting married at the same time, at least not close by," Aidan commented, "but even if there were, I bet they didn't share their honeymoons like we are."

They took their time, enjoying their refreshments and the company of each other, but eventually they headed off to the bathrooms to shower. Afterwards they returned to the living room, but this time all four boys took to the couch.

It was tight, but comfy, flesh pressing flesh, and soon they began touching and exchanging kisses all around. They were all very comfortable with each other after all the times they'd shared their bodies, but somehow tonight seemed different and more special. Perhaps it was because of the vows they'd taken or the fact that they were now truly committed to someone else.

That's not to say that anyone had a problem with sharing now, and in fact it seemed more exciting and more sacred than it had before.

What followed was beautiful, four handsome sexy males, kissing, touching, and sharing their love. Kisses grew more passionate, touching more intimate, and mouths moved to other parts of the bodies besides lips.

Jimmy and Zak were both kneeling on the couch now, as their new husbands buried their tongues in their tacky puckers. All four were moaning in pleasure, though the twins moans were a bit muffled by the pillows of soft smooth flesh they were buried between.

"Oh...oh...oh," Zak cried out, "I'm gonna come if you keep that up," he warned.

"Don't waste it," Aidan said coming up for air, "turn around."

Zak quickly complied, falling down on his butt, his cock jutting up obscenely. It was slick with precum, and Aidan moaned in approval as he tasted the familiar and delicious flavor of his lover.

Without discussion, Jaden pulled Jimmy into a sitting position and went down on him as well. Looking over at his twin, he grinned around his new husband's cock and Aidan grinned back.

"Deee...licious," Jaden said coming up for just a moment.

Because no one was in a hurry to orgasm yet, they switched off after a few minutes, and it was Jimmy and Zak on their knees this time. Jimmy loved Jaden's uncut cock and was doing things with his tongue that caused Jaden to moan and squirm in ecstasy. Aidan was doing some moaning and squirming as well, wiggling his perky butt against the soft material of the sofa, and trying to keep from coming, as Zak worked on his stiff cock.

They switched off once again, this time with the twins kneeling on the couch while Jimmy and Zak did some deep anal probing with their tongues.

Next, they settled back onto the couch and did some more kissing and groping, but the heat was building to the point that release was imminent.

It was Jaden who suggested that for the first orgasm of the night, they make love to their respective spouses, then rest and for round two it was everyone's choice where they spilled their seed.

By mutual agreement they went off to their bedrooms for this part of their evening of fun, agreed to meet back in the living room in one hour.

"Okay, but if we're late, wait for us, Jaden teased, "I got a feeling I'm gonna wanna make love to my baby for a long time."

Jimmy grabbed Jaden's hand then and led him off to the bedroom, and soon he was on his back, his legs high in the air and Jaden planted deep inside him. In the adjoining bedroom, Aidan and Zak were doing a little love-making themselves, however it was Zak who was on top, while Aidan lay face down enjoying the feel of his lover inside him and on top of him.

It was almost an hour and a half before the two couples met in the living room, hungry and thirsty, and still glowing from their lovemaking.

"I'm starved," Jaden said leading the way to the kitchen.

They dug out stuff for sandwiches, and soon were sitting around the dining table once more. There were chips and dip as well, and they washed them down with soda, all except Jaden who had a beer.

"Did you guys come more than once?" Jaden asked grinning.

"No, but we took our time," Aidan said smiling, "we swapped back and forth till we were so worked up that when we did come...it was so...so amazing."

"Yeah, I thought I was gonna pass out," Zak chuckled, "I actually saw black around the edge of my vision.

"Well, not to brag, but Jimmy and I fucked...I mean, made love, twice, and used every position possible."

"Just hearing about your sexual escapades has me ready to go again," Aidan said grinning.

"Well, let's clean this mess up, brush our teeth, and get at it, brother of mine."

Reconvening in the living room the four visited a bit before things started to heat up again. Kissing and groping resumed and this time they paired off with their opposites. No one was eager to get off just yet, and after some sucking, licking, and rimming, they paired off again, this time Jimmy and Zak, and the two twins.

"This is nice," Aidan said between kisses, "here with my three favorite people in the whole world and sharing our love without anyone judging  us or telling us it's wrong."

"Yeah, not to mention it's dirty, and raw, and sooo...hot," Jaden joked.

"Yes, that too big brother. Now, how about using that mouth for something better than  joking around, get down there and suck that thing," he laughed.

"Funny, very funny," Jaden said, but he obeyed without any further banter.

"Oh shit, you do that good," Aidan moaned.

"Well, I do it well," Jaden said coming up long enough to correct Aidan's grammar."

"Well...good...excellent...amazing...stupendous...ginormous..." Aidan moaned.

"My dick is ginormous," Jaden teased, "so, how about you give it a little attention now?"

"How about we do a 69?" Aidan suggested, "just like we did when we first discovered sucking."

The two moved to the floor then, but instead of laying head to foot on their sides, Aidan lay on the floor as Jaden hovered over him. Then supported by his arms and legs, he lowered his cock into his brother's mouth, engulfing Aidan's cock at the same time.

Jaden liked this position, and usually wound up fucking his brother's mouth as he did simulated pushups. He never missed a beat however, giving Aidan's cock plenty of attention as well.

After a few minutes of this, the cum began to boil up in their balls and Jaden quickly rolled off his brother and flipped around so they were face to face. Laying down on top of his brother, he pressed his hard wet cock into Aidan's and began to grind against him.

"Oh...man, we used to do this too," Aidan said wistfully.

"Yeah, we thought this was having sex," Jaden chuckled, "before we discovered my dick would fit in your butt."

"Yeah, that was quite a discovery, and eventually we discovered that your butt was good for something too."

"Yeah," Jaden chuckled, "I never thought I'd give up my booty to anyone, but I'm glad you were my first."

"Me too," Aidan sighed, "Now shut up and kiss me."

On the couch, Zak had mounted Jimmy and was sitting on his lap facing him, Jimmy's cock nestled between his smooth butt cheeks.

"Careful," Jimmy warned between kisses, "that thing might slip up your butt."

"I'm hoping it does," Zak said blushing, "it's been a while since I've felt you inside me, and I think tonight is the perfect time."

"Well, only if you'll return the favor," Jimmy said grinning, "I have an itch back there that I need some help with."

A few minutes later, Jaden rolled off of Aidan and pulled him to his feet, then snuggled in behind him and nuzzled his neck. Noticing Zak and Jimmy were busy playing hide the salami, he snickered out loud.

"Are you fucking my husband?" Jaden teased.

"Not exactly," Zak said grinning, "he's fucking me...for now."

"Well, carry on. It's a real turn-on watching you two."

Then pulling Aidan against him, Jaden attacked his neck and shoulders as his cock sought out his brother's tight hot hole. Aidan bend over slightly and arched his back, pushing his lush rear into Jaden's eager cock, which slipped inside easily.

"Oh yeah," Jaden hissed, "that azzz is sooo hot, so tight."

"Oh J, you feel so good inside me," Aidan cooed, "fuck me bro, fuck me hard. Make me like that dick up my ass."

"God, I love it when you talk dirty," Jaden said excitedly, as he thrust harder into Aidan's hot tight hole, "Oh shit...that feels so damn good."

Meanwhile, Zak was riding Jimmy's cock like a bucking bronco as Jimmy held him by his slender waist and guided him up and down. Soon he was humping up, his rear coming up off the couch as he attempted to bury his cock even deeper in Zak's willing hole.

"Yes...yes...yes," Zak cried out as Jimmy bucked up one last time, then froze in midair as his balls pulled up tight and his cock began to fire off volley after volley of hot ball gravy into Jimmy's guts.

"Ah ah ah...yessss," Zak cried out, before covering Jimmy's mouth with his own and sucking  his tongue into his own mouth.

Watching the two rut proved to be too much for Jaden, who was practically lifting his brother off the floor with each forward thrust, and suddenly he too cried out and began to spew forth.

Pulling out with one hand and pushing Aidan down till he was stooped over, he directed his still firing dick at his brother's crack and back, painting him with his sticky cum. As soon as the last spurt hit it's mark, and his cock was only oozing, he leaned down and began licking  his brother clean, finally pushing him onto the couch so he could get to his oozing hole. He licked and sucked and slurped till he had as much of his own cum in his mouth as possible, then spun his brother around and began swapping spit and cum with him.

"Oh my God," Jimmy muttered, "that was so hot, watching my husband lick his brother's hole clean then share the cum."

"I know," Zak said nodding, his face flushed from his exertion and excitement.

"Your turn now," Jimmy said after a few more minutes, How do you want me?"

"Hmm...doggy style," he said grinning, "like a Chihuahua on a German Shepard, Zak joked.

"Awesome, let's move to the floor. If I can get my dick out of your ass," Jimmy teased.

"I got this," Zak said raising up on his sturdy legs and pulling free with a plop.

Jimmy was still hard, but once the pressure of Zak's tight hole was removed, he began to go down some. Once Zak was off of his lap  he moved to the floor and assumed the position. Zak knelt behind Jimmy and began rimming him deeply and wetly, and he had a wicked idea as he did so. He'd liked what Jaden had done with Aidan and he thought it might be fun to give it a try for once as well.

Soon, he had Jimmy loosened up and after applying a little lotion to his slick hard pole, he scooted up to Jimmy's behind.

"You're a little too high, lower your butt a little," Zak said swatting Jimmy's rear playfully.

"Woof woof," Jimmy barked, then chuckled as he complied.

"Perfect," Zak said, easily slipping inside this time, "Oooh...you're really hot inside," he giggled.

"I'm a hot guy," Jimmy chuckled.

"He sure is," Jaden said from the couch where he was bent over with Aidan deep inside him, "Oooh...right there," he gasped as Aidan found his boy nut.

Suddenly the room was filled with the sounds and smells of male sex. The slap slap slap of body against body and the scent of sweat, cum, and testosterone.

Zak came first, perhaps excited by the thought of what he was about to do, and just as Jaden had done when he began to spew, he pulled out and directed his volley of boy batter onto Jimmy's back and crack.

"Oh man," Jimmy chuckled, "I can feel it hitting me and it's sooo warm."

"Copy cat," Jaden teased, looking back at the two, "I bet you're not brave enough to do what I did though."

"Ha, just watch me," Zak said, giving Jaden the raspberry, with extra tongue.

"Save that tongue for Jimmy's hole," Jaden laughed.

Zak stood then and milked out the last few drops of cum before kneeling once more and beginning his work. He licked all the cum off Jimmy's back first, then moved down to his back and hole, relishing in the taste of his own flavor mixed with Jimmy's musky taste.

"Well, I stand corrected," Jaden chuckled, "I guess I started something new. I bet these other two will be dying to join the club, Zaky," he chuckled.

"I don't know about Aidan, but I can't wait to try it on my husband," Jimmy assured him.

Aidan came next, but he didn't pull out as Zak had done. Instead he stayed buried deep, riding out an especially intense orgasm that turned his legs to rubber. With a sigh he finally pulled out, noting that a little of his cum bubbled out of his brother's tight hot hole.

Reaching down, he dabbed his finger in the sticky goo and brought it to his lips, "Mmm...damn I taste good," Aidan chuckled, then leaning down, he ran his tongue up his brother's crack and across his oozing hole, tasting the nut honey from the source.

"Ahhh....nice," Jaden sighed.

******************************

That night set the tone for the days to come. By day the boys boated, swam in the heated pool, or just walked along the lake hand in hand. Most evenings they'd drive into town for dinner, but sometimes they stayed in, and everyone pitched in as they cooked their favorite dinners.

As evening set in, the boys began to think amorous thoughts once more, and they'd begin a night of sharing their love, often as a group effort, but not always. After all, they were married now, and on occasion they enjoyed just being with their new husband .

The world outside had been all but shut out during their stay in the lake house, and when the TV was turned on it was to watch a movie on Netflix or a DVD from the collection they'd brought.

Outside, the virus was waging a war against mankind and hundreds of thousands of dead and dying paid the price of mankind's stupidity. Pharmaceutical companies were going gang-busters in an attempt to come up with a vaccine, and the government was spending millions of dollars to facilitate the effort. Operation Warp Speed it was called, and their hope was that the vaccine would be ready by the end of the year, and that by spring of 2021 things would be back to normal. Little did they know then the harsh reality that faced mankind in 2020 and beyond.

Most of the country was shut down, masks were required almost everywhere, and life as mankind had known it was greatly changed. The boys' college classes were online now and there was no guarantee that they would resume in person in  the fall. Fortunately, they were close to the end of the school year and they were confident they could get through the next couple of months without too much difficulty.

But all that was forgotten as the boys just enjoyed their time together and celebrated their new unions. However, they did keep in touch with their parents by phone, and so far everyone back home was safe and well. Mr. Reynolds was working from home now, and Mel was selling cars online, while Jimmy's step dad had been laid off temporarily. Fortunately, he was able to get unemployment benefits, as well as the stimulus checks the government  had issued, but Jaden assured Jimmy that if his folks needed anything they would provide it.  Jimmy didn't protest once Jaden had explained that now that they were married, his mom and dad were family, and family took care of family. In fact, it almost made Jimmy cry. He loved Jaden so much, and this only brought them closer.

"So, what do you guys want to do today?" Jaden said once the four were up and had breakfast under their belts.

"Why do we have to do anything?" Aidan said yawning and stretching, "Why can't we just lay around all day, watch movies, play video games, eat junk food, and have sex?"

"I'm in," Zak said grinning.

"I agree," Jimmy said, "we've done most everything there is to do around here, so why not take a day off?"

"Okay, okay...I was just asking," Jaden groused, "It's kind of cold outside anyway, so...yeah...good plan bro."

Jaden and Jimmy curled up on the couch, and Aidan and Zak on the love seat while they watched a movie on Netflix and snuggled. Soon snuggling led to kissing, and then groping, and soon they were doing some hot heavy petting.

Stretching out on the couch on his back, Jaden pulled Jimmy on top of him, reaching back to snake his hands into Jimmy's underwear and squeeze his butt gently. They ground their hard cocks together as they kissed deeply, not quite ready to go any farther, and enjoying this moment immensely.

The love seat wasn't quite big enough for the other couple to stretch out on, but they were cuddled tightly together, hands in each other's briefs. As they fondled each other's cock and balls they kissed deeply and savored the moment, the movie long forgotten.

It wasn't long till the two couples moved their lovemaking to their respective bedrooms. They made love slowly and passionately before finally giving in and bringing each other to a spectacular orgasm. Afterwards they lay cuddling and soon fell asleep in each other's arms.

By mutual agreement they cooked burgers and fries, and stayed in for the evening meal, then retreated to the living room for popcorn and movie night. They cuddled and kissed but the afternoon session had left them sated and they decided any further love-making could wait till bed time.

They finished the evening with a daisy chain, with Jaden blowing Zak, Zak blowing Jimmy, and Aidan blowing his twin. It was fun, but just a warmup for the couples who went off to bed then to enjoy a night of unbridled lust and lovemaking.

The week passed quickly, and by Sunday the boys wished they had booked the lake house for a longer period of time. Jaden suggested they book a suite at one of the big hotels in town, but what with the virus running rampant, they decided to return home, check in with their prospective families, then decide what to do next.

That Sunday, the last day of their stay, the boys took the motor boat out and headed up the lake toward the dam. There was a boat dock and landing about a mile up stream, and a restaurant there called The Pelican Restaurant. The sign said they had the freshest catfish in the state, and the boys decided to give it the test.

There were several booths along one wall, as well as a few tables, and a long counter with red and chrome stools attached to the floor.

Jaden steered them toward a booth in the back, and they sat down with their husband by their side. A waitress came over with menus and took their drink order, then left them to study the menus.

"Catfish, homemade hush puppies, and coleslaw," Jaden said grinning, "can you get any more  southern than that?"

"Well, it could be crayfish instead of catfish," Aidan joked, "down in Louisiana you see those things in every restaurant, convenience store, and on every street corner."

"Yeah, gross," Jimmy said, "I can't imagine eating those things."

"To each his own," Jaden said studying the menu some more, "how about we get this family dinner thing. It's all you can eat catfish, and our choice of three sides and hush puppies?"

"Perfect," Aidan said closing his menu, "after all, we are family," he added chuckling.

"I wonder if they'd spit in our food if they knew we were queers," Jaden laughed.

"Jaden, that's a horrible thing to say," Aidan scolded, "but maybe it's best to keep our show of affection to a minimal."

"So, no snogging or groping under the table?" Jaden teased, "Damn, I was hoping to do it right here on top of the table for all to see."

"Those four old men in the corner might not like that," Jimmy observed, "that one in the overalls has been watching us like a hawk watches a chicken."

"Maybe he likes em young," Jaden joked, "I could blow him a kiss."

"J...behave," Aidan warned, "remember that movie Deliverance...?"

Everyone laughed at that, and Zak surprised them by quoting a line from the movie, causing them to laugh even harder, "You gotta real purdy mouth."

"I made Jimmy squeal like a pig last night," Jaden added, causing more laughter, which did not go unnoticed by the man in the overalls.

"He's definitely watching us," Jaden said then, "I wonder if he's a fan," he added, causing more laughter.

"Yeah, I'm sure he's a big Alternate Love fan, Aidan said grinning, "I think I saw him at one of the concerts," he teased.

They were saved further conversation as their order arrived and the waitress filled the table with dish after dish of hot delicious smelling food.

"You all need anything else, just holler," the waitress said, and Jaden noted her name tag said her name was Wanda.

"Thanks Wanda," Aidan said smiling, "it looks great."

"Best catfish in the state if you ask me. Caught daily, and delivered still kicking," she chuckled.

When she was gone, Zak looked at the others and made a funny face. So...this fish was alive before we ordered it? that's kinda creepy."

Everyone laughed, even Zak, who was only half serious about being creeped out. In fact, once he took a bite of his first piece of catfish he forgot all about it's origin.

"Mmm...two snaps up," Jaden said shaking his head and snapping his fingers in a gay sort of way, that caused the man in the overalls to gawk even harder at the group.

"It is good," Aidan said then, "and the hush puppies are to die for."

"I like the coleslaw and fried okra too," Jimmy added, "definitely some of the best food I've had in a while."

"We'll have to come back here sometime. It's not that far to drive. Maybe bring the folks," Aidan suggested.

"Yeah, definitely. Uh oh, guys...overalls is giving us the stink eye," Jaden said, "then he had a wicked idea. Noticing that the four were drinking draft beer, he called the waitress over, "I want you to take four drafts to the guys in the corner, and put it on our tab."

He'd worried that the waitress might card him, but she didn't bat an eye as she nodded, "That's old Gus and his fishing buddies. They're an ornery bunch, but some beer will soften them up some," she chuckled.

When she appeared at the table with the four drafts the one called Gus looked up in surprise and when she told him where the drinks had come from, he surprised the four teens by raising his glass in salute.

The four teens raised their glasses of soda as well, and after that, Gus seemed less interested in what the boys were up to.

"See, it just takes a simple act of kindness," Jaden bragged.

"J, I'm proud of you," Aidan said sincerely, "that's more like something I would do, "he added chuckling, "I guess it just goes to show, people can change."

"Yeah, especially when they're in love," Jaden said, forgetting his promise not to be overly affectionate and kissing Jimmy quickly on the lips.

Everyone's eyes darted to Gus, but if he noticed the kiss at all, he seemed to be ignoring it and the boys at the moment.

They finished their meal in peace, and when it came time to pay the tab, Jaden added a nice tip and ordered another round for the four at the table. Of course they were long gone by the time the beer showed up at the table, but the four certainly didn't turn them down.

"City boys," Gus said to his friends as he sipped his ice cold beer, "I guess not all of em are bad."

In the boat, the four laughed as they thought about what had gone on in the restaurant. They'd faced their share of ignorance and prejudice, but most of the people in their lives were understanding and accepting of their love for one another. They knew it was only because of the sacrifices of those who had come before them that they enjoyed the freedoms they had now, and the right to be married, but they hoped that they were paving the way for a whole new generation of LGBTQ persons.

Back at the lake house, the four decided to use the hot tub and pool one last time. Jaden broke out the last bottle of champagne and they toasted one another, their marriage, their parents and friends, and a quick end to the pandemic.

That night the four clung together as if they were desperate for one another. They knew they couldn't hide from the reality of what was going on outside, but they had enjoyed their brief respite from it, and now it was time to face it once again.

They had a light supper of cold cuts and left over potato salad and chips, then reconvened in the living room to watch a movie and cuddle on the couch. All four bunched up on the couch, and though it was a bit tight, they enjoyed the closeness and intimacy.

Their lovemaking that night was more subdued than past nights, but everyone enjoyed themselves and got off at least once. Afterwards, the two couples headed off to their separate bedrooms for one last night of love-making and sleep away from the harsh reality of the outside world.

************************************

The boys and their families were lucky, as not one of them contracted the virus, although J.J. was exposed to it and had to quarantine for two weeks, which was tough on Jeremy and Dee.

The twins spent a few days with their parents, then with Jeremy, Isaac, and Dee, then returned to their house near college. Although their classes were online for the time being, it was still nice to resume some level of normalcy during such trying times.

Masks were required everywhere they went, but they did most of their shopping online these days, so there was seldom any need to go out or at least not very far. When J.J.'s quarantine was over he moved in Dee and Jeremy and became a part of the gang full time.

It was actually nice having a houseful of people, and it helped to make up for the loss of outside activities that had kept them busy before. Instead of going to the movies, they watched them on the big screen TV, instead of going out to eat, they cooked most of their meals or used Doordash. Instead of going to athletic events they worked out in the garage, and Jaden and Aidan had taken to running two miles a day. Eventually, Zak and Jimmy gave it a try, and by the end of the second month everyone was on board. They were quite a sight, nine handsome teens dressed in running shorts and tank tops, and the locals had soon gotten used to them, and looked forward to seeing them each day.

As the virus raged on, the race for a vaccine continued, but it would be months more before one was developed. Meanwhile, the world was practically shut down, with mask mandates everywhere, and the fatalities climbing at an alarming rate.

Months burned by, school ended, and the boys returned to their parents homes to reevaluate their lives and futures. There was hope that the virus would soon be brought under control, but their was no guarantee of that, and the gang found themselves foundering a bit due to that uncertainty.

Online classes had been okay for a few months, but none of the gang looked forward to a whole year of that. And if they did return to school, what would that look like? Masks, hand sanitizers, temperature checks, mandatory testing? The list went on and on, and as the days passed no answers seemed to be in sight.

The only solstice for the twins was the fact that their family and friends were safe, and they were actually enjoying their time at home. For the first time since they'd been born, the two were sleeping in separate bedrooms. The reason, their husbands, Zak and Jimmy had moved in with them, and they had decided there just wasn't enough room in one bedroom for 4 adult males.

That was not to say that the four didn't get together in one room or the other for some fun, but that was usually late at night when the rest of the family was asleep. They tried to keep the noise level down, but there were some nights when their parents awoke to the happy sounds of the four making love. They had long ago accepted that the norm for their sons, and their family, were not necessarily the norms for the rest of the world, and they overlooked these little indiscretions.

J.J. dealt Jeremy and Dee a blow in late August when he revealed to them that he was moving back home to California to be with his family. His grandmother had come down with Covid-19 and was very ill, and he wanted to be there to help his parents get through it. His plan was to transfer to a state college there and continue his education when the new school year began in the fall.

It was not really as big a blow as most would have thought. Though the two loved J.J., the relationship had been changing over the last few months, and despite having lived together for a short time, they had slowly begun to grow apart.

With J.J. out of the picture, Jeremy and Dee began to make plans for their own wedding sometime in the future, but with the uncertainty of the virus, they had yet to set a date.

It would be several more months before a vaccine was developed, two vaccines to be exact, and a long slow process of getting the most vulnerable vaccinated. Meanwhile, life went on, and though it was a different kind of life, the twins and their family and friends were thankful that they had all managed to stay healthy.

The youngest Reynolds twins continued to grow and learn, and they loved having their big brothers and uncles around so much. They thrived in this environment and their enthusiasm and love of life was an inspiration to them all.

One afternoon, just before the new year, Jaden and Aidan found themselves alone in the backyard of the house they'd grown up in. There had been many happy times spent there, with friends and alone, and they couldn't help but smile as they gazed out at the familiar landscape.

"Remember when I accidentally bloodied your nose while we were wrestling by the back fence?" Jaden chuckled.

"Boy do I ever. It hurt like hell, but I was actually more worried about you. You were bawling like you were the one who got hurt," Aidan laughed.

"What, no...did I? Really, I guess...I guess I was just sorry I'd hurt you," Jaden said placing an arm around his brother. I've loved you since we were born, and that's never gonna change, and I would never, ever do anything on purpose to hurt you," he said wiping at tears.

"I know that, and I love you too. Always have, always will. Our life has been great, don't you think? We've been lucky. A lot of brothers don't get along as well as we do. I mean, we always had a live-in playmate and later...lover," he chuckled.

"Do you think mom and dad knew...that we were messing around?"

"If they didn't, I'd be shocked. Our rents are two of the smartest people I know, but they're also two of the most loving and understanding people on this earth. They were probably just happy we got along so well."

"Boy, did we ever," Jaden chuckled, "especially when I found out how sweet that ass of yours was."

"I never felt used though," Aidan said smiling, then looking out at the place where he'd spend so many happy moments. For a second he could have sworn he saw himself and Jaden as small boys rolling on the grass. Shaking his head to clear it, he sighed, "I always knew you loved me more than the sex. I didn't know the words then, but I guess it was making love for me."

"It was for me too. I didn't want to hurt you, and I wanted you to feel good too. That's why I always made sure you got off, then eventually I let you do it to me. Best decision I ever made."

"Yeah, it seems so long ago, yet...somehow like it was only yesterday. I know that makes no sense," he chuckled, "but I wouldn't have changed a minute of it, well...except maybe for my brain tumor period."

"That was the worst time of my life," Jaden said looking serious, "I thought I was gonna lose you, and I was sure I couldn't go on if I did."

"It wasn't a picnic for me either. I was just sorry I'd treated you so badly, even if it was because I was out of my head. I guess I thought I might die, but I wasn't worried about me, I was worried about you, and mom and dad, and all our friends. I guess even then I knew that dying was worse for the ones left behind."

"Yeah, well...no one's dying now," Jaden said, then realizing how that might sound in the midst of a pandemic, he added, "we need to do everything we can to keep ourselves and our families and friends safe from this damn virus."

"I agree, even if it means being isolated for a while. But so far, it's not been that bad. I really don't miss the crowds, well not that much. We still make music and post it online, and we have each other. Some people aren't as lucky as we are."

"How many kids get to live their dream and become rock stars?" Jaden said, "but you know, if it hadn't been for you guys pushing me, I'd have never gotten into that stuff. It was your dream, and you shared it with me, and it became my dream too."

"Aww, your only problem was, you didn't know just how talented you were. Same with Zak, once you guys figured that out, the rest was inevitable."

"Yeah, well...once I found out how much fun it was, I couldn't resist. Not to mention the money," Jaden chuckled, "how many kids our age have 5.0 Mustang convertibles and fat bank accounts?"

"Not many, I'm sure and the ones who do are probably blowing most of their money on booze, women, and drugs," Aidan observed.

"Not us, never been tempted by drugs, and well...I like a little booze now and then, but not interested in women at all," Jaden chuckled, "We've been lucky, but in some cases we made our own luck."

"Yeah, I know. It's been a crazy fun life bro, and when this pandemic is over, we'll have a lot more craziness and fun."

"Yeah, and I'm looking forward to it," Jaden said leaning in and kissing his brother on the cheek, "there's still lots of stuff ahead for the Reynolds Twins."

The End

With this chapter comes the end of a story that has taken us through the lives and trials of Jaden and Aidan Reynolds and their friends and families. Nearly five years have gone by since I first began this little story, and I had no idea it would continue this long. I hope you have enjoyed reading the story as much as I have enjoyed writing it, but I felt this was the time and place to end it. As they say: all good things must come to an end, and I hope you will agree that this was a good thing. I know some readers will be disappointed, but who knows? Someday I may take a moment to revisit the twins, perhaps at some point in their childhood, just to keep their memories alive.

Special thanks to my friend Michael in NY for his invaluable help with editing, ideas, and pictures. Mikey may not have been there at the beginning of this saga, but he quickly got up to speed, and has been one of my biggest inspirations in continuing this story. I would also like to congratulate Michael on his engagement to his boyfriend Tim. In a lovely romantic get-away, including a boat ride at sunset, Tim popped the question and presented Michael with a ring. Way to go guys.  Looking forward to a real wedding soon.
